My new favourite place to relax in Ballarat! Enjoy the heater, delicious coffee and food while reading papers and magazines. Kids toys and books provided for play. Staff easy going and friendly but very efficient too. Bonus points for two friendly cats that like customer interaction! As a newcomer to living in Ballarat and trying out lots of the cafes on offer I only wish I had found this place sooner. Recommended to families, the young and old, hipster and bike enthusiasts.
Very friendly staff, great coffee and food, breakfast to die for, just love it. My Specialized bike from Goves is fantastic
Consistently nice coffee. Happy and pleasant staff. Interesting atmosphere.
Small range of homemade food means it is always fresh and tasty!
They take phone orders...so very helpful when you are short on time.
And then there is the bike shop...always something to look at!
Great personal service and the food was lovely. Highly Recommend :)
Stopped by for the first time, and the owners are friendly & welcoming. The sponge cake is delicous and the cafe is clean, with a relaxed atmosphere.** The cafe is now renamed Food Seduction On Doveton ,**""
As soon as you walk into this shop you know that there is something very different about it, you very soon see why. First that coffee smells great, then you will get a greeting that IS genuine, whether you are there to sit back and relax with a great coffee and snack after a ride, or to have your bike looked after, or even wanting to inquire about the new bikes, all feels just right.
So far, I have only had experience with the coffees and with some small stuff from the shop, as well as some mechanical work for our two bikes (one just happened to be a very mysterious internal brake problem). The attitude was great and the explanations of why and what now needs to happen, were welcome. If you want to just walk in and leave your bike to them, that's fine I would think. If you are curious about why something went wrong, they are ok to explain and show you. I have plenty of bike shops near me and live 80 kilometers away from Gove Cycles; and Gove IS my local shop. Yes, it is that good.
My main point with my experiences with this shop is: in this shop, near enough is NOT good enough. I simply trust them...Rod Morrison
I dropped my bike in for a service here. The attention to detail was amazing. I've honestly never had the gears work so well. Customer service was excellent, price was excellent. One of those businesses that has a genuine interest in quality. Highly recommended!
Friendly, fast service and hearty food. Lots of bikes and memorabilia to browse at. No shortage of bike racks, not far from the Black Hill mountain bike tracks for the fat tyre riders.
Wonderful owner to talk to, great atmosphere.
Went to see a bike I was interested in and it wasn't available. So the owner made a bike up from scratch so I could test ride it. Took it for a spin, was a great bike, bought 2, one for me and one for my partner.
