Had a drink here with my sister and the view is gorgeous, especially if you are sitting outside. I had an iced chocolate and my sister had cider and it was so refreshing to go sit outside and have a drink. Definielty recommend to pop in for a drink on a sunny day.
Hosted my Japanese friends there and the view was absolutely sensational! Food was good too. We had the signature fish and chips, the green salad, and the trout plate. Large portion that we didn’t finish and got takeaway. Long queue of course during the weekend.
Amazing spot right by the water. You have to be lucky to get a table but it’s worth the wait on a sunny day. The salads are fresh and light but the best we had was the burger. Coffee is pretty good!

This cafe just located next to the sea in Mosman. We started with black coffee and fresh ginger lemon tea. Tasty, nice and warm.
Had the boat house salad and fish and chips served with chinese yumcha bowl!

Love love the boathouse, we usually go to Palm Beach but came to Balmoral to try instead. Did not disappoint beautiful fresh food and super generous servings. Only trick is getting a seat!
Had lunch here on a typically beautiful Balmoral afternoon. Despite the slight hassle of finding a table in a shaded spot, the overall experience of eating here is truly pleasurable. Not only are you besides one of the world’s most adorable beaches with amazing views, but the food is also very good. The Trout plate is exceptional value for money and is served generously. Although I personally wouldn’t pay $30 for fish and chips, plenty of people do and the menu offers the best of what Sydney can produce from the Ocean.
The Boathouse Balmoral is lovely cafe right by Balmoral Beach, famous for being a small and private beach that is inhabited by locals. We came here during summer after exploring after Balmoral and all that the lower North Shore of Sydney has to offer. It was incredibly busy the day we went and we had to line up for a table as there are not that many seats.
The food here was super tasty and fresh. The location is also stunning with an amazing waterfront view of Balmoral Beach. The menu items are a bit pricey but then again you are practically eating on the beach.

Displays of fresh fruit, flowers, crab nets and driftwood all add to the beauty of this charming building. The Boatshed fits in perfectly with the relaxed yet sophisticated setting of Balmoral Beach. It is the sort of place where the interiors/exteriors are so inspirational and timeless that you just want to pack it all up and throw it in the back of the car so you can jazz up your own shack!
Came here on the most gorgeous sunny day for lunch and the place was packed! We had to find our own table but this was not a problem. We ended up sharing a table with some lovely people! My daughter had fish and chips and a decanter of chocolate milkshake (which she loved). I had a delicious kingfish main and a glass of sauv blanc. Great broccolini w almonds on the side! Perfect!
Years ago (pre Boathouse) we would come here for coffees, hot chips and ice creams. My kids would cash in 10 shells they found on the beach in exchange for a lollypop! I am happy to say that the restored Boathouse vibe is not so different to these good old days.
A lovely and popular place at Balmoral Beach, perfect for coffee, brunch, lunch or a snack. The decor and setting makes you feel like you’re in holiday at a peaceful seaside resort, with views over the inlet and pier. We enjoyed our fish and chips and burger, combined with juices (not made on-site but branded as “fresh”) and great coffee. This is a highly sought-after place, so be prepared to come either a bit early to secure your place, or expect a wait to be seated. Wonderful place.
Waited for more than one hour for a table on Sunday afternoon, this place is so popular. A little bit pricey compared to other brunch restaurants.
Coffee ☕️ is not quite satisfied, both two espressos in iced latte are over-extraction, taste bitter and astringent. Cold drip is dry and hollow. Please enhance the coffee quality.
Food is really great, beef patty is juicy, fish is tender and fresh.
This place is my new favourite place! The atmosphere is amazing. Awesome view and great service. The food quality is so good 👍 Having your Saturday breakfast here is going to make your weekend. We shared an average toast with tomatoes with some extra. I ordered a tea pot 🍵 no tea bags just a real quality tea. Amazing!

⭐️ Beautiful interior design with flowers and greenery everywhere! Very nice tables with comfortable chairs, we sat on a communal table and it was very nice. The views from the platform looking out on the boats on the beach are to die for!
⭐️ We had a variety of breakfast items, all
shown in the pictures with the price tags. Everything was very yummy however too much salt in all dishes from the cream on the avo toast to the mashed avo itself. Regardless everyone really enjoyed the food. We then ordered some coffee and iced chocolate and it was very smooth and fresh with a beautiful taste. The banana bread was sold out before we could get some since its so popular! Everything was so nicely presented and had big and filling portions.
⭐️ Staff were so friendly and very good service. The manager at the time was so nice and very helpful.

🚫 The share plates we got were not cleaned properly and still had egg on them and the cups we grabbed with the water jug had lipstick stains on the rims. Even the toilets had toilet paper all over the floor. However the place itself in general is pretty clean and they do sanitise every single table.
Overall, my family and i had a wonderful time celebrating my mom's birthday, it really is an experience in itself. Will definitely be coming back soon!
Such a nice place with amazing vibes.. The staff is very friendly.. The seating arrangements are diverse from stools to benches with indoow and outdoor seating surrounded with the best views.
I was there for a business meeting. However, I will be taking my daughters soon😊
You may have to wait during busy times but I find it goes quickly, food is expensive though you are in Balmoral. The waiters could be more attentive as it was hard getting their attention when they were running all over the place. The fish and chips and beef burger with chutney were delicious, would recommend.
