Chinese roast duck is one of my absolute favourite things to eat, and although this place is a Vietnamese shop, their roast duck is one of the best I've ever had. I've been here countless times, and I've only ever ordered their roast duck with garlic fried rice (I did try it with their special fried rice once or twice).

Their roast duck is cooked to perfection, juicy and tender, with just the right amount of melted duck fat that melts in your mouth when you bite into it. But the duck skin is the best part in my opinion, it's beautifully crispy without being hard, with just a thin layer of melty duck fat which just oozes with that delicious roast duck flavour.

The garlic fried rice is great too, and I prefer it over their special fried rice because it embodies all the flavors of a humble fried rice without trying to be too fancy, or having too many ingredients added to it. Paired with the roast duck, it really lets the duck shine through, and to be honest, I really only come here for the duck so I want to taste the full experience of the duck.

Lately, my friend has taken to ordering their crispy skin chicken with tomato rice, and says their crispy skin chicken is better than a lot of other Vietnamese places. The chicken is juicy and tender, while the skin is perfectly crispy and thin, and the tomato rice is flavourful and solid, not cooked too wet like other places can be.

We've also tried their clear noodle soup with a combination of toppings, and crispy gravy noodles topped with a combination of ingredients, including seafood and meat, which also seems like a popular dish here. The noodles were very crispy, and worked nicely with the gravy which helps soften it a little and adds some moisture to the dish. The toppings are also wonderfully flavoured and very fresh, and there was plentify of it too to go with every bite of noodles.

Service here is very efficient and fast, and the food comes out within minutes. Sometimes the drinks don't come out till a bit after the food, or even till half way through the meal though. Our bill for two dishes and one or two drinks is usually around the $25-$30 mark, so I think it's quite cheap here.

TIP: you can also ask them for a bowl of chicken soup for no extra charge to help wash down your meal.
