A very nice cafe to dine at for a casual lunch or morning/afternoon tea. Surprisingly extensive menu for a small cafe. But all produce has been brought up from Bunbury Farmers Markets and most items are made on site. Meals are very fresh and enjoyable. The crumbles are quite sweet, and when warmed in a microwave become soggy and sadly lose all texture. I feel there is a lot behind this cafe, and the gentleman I believe owns it is really lovely.
I have been looking for a local chef that can cook better than me and source fresh high quality ingredients. I am proud to say I have succeeded. Red Poppy's Cafe is so good! The meals are mouth watering and price well considering the higher cost of the locally sourced produce from Bunbury and fish from Derby. If you know food, then Red Poppy's is the place to go. Dropped in for lunch on a Saturday and it wasn't very busy. $17.50 for a burger, chips, and a piece of fruitcake is alright. The burger was very nice. Didn't take too long to make, and was definitely freshly made. The guy running the place was very nice. The menu had a decent amount of options, and several paleo suggestions for people so inclined. There wasn't a lot in the cabinet, but there were a couple of looking items.
Enjoyed a quiet meal here the other night. We were thoroughly impressed with the food, coffee, service and the lovely chats we had with the cook and the business owner. Highly recommended. Definitely will be going back.
Very happy with the food & nice wine. Ordered a beef curry & scallopini. Nice tasting & home style. The chef was very accommodating & excellent service. Will definitely come back.
Really enjoyed my night here with my boyfriend. The chef who looked like he was the owner was alone as staff on holidays, he did everything he could to accommodate us with friendly service and prompt food. The food was fresh and delicious and I couldn't eat it all so he offered that I take it home and even told me how to reheat it! Good prices as well. Thank you, will definitely be back :)

FANTASTIC!!!. My partner and I decided at the last minute to stop by for an early dinner as we where close by. We had our dog with us and they allowed us to sit outside (back courtyard is done nicely with table, chairs, some nice trees and music) with our dog to enjoy our meal.
We had the current special which is a 3 course meal for 2 people for $49. We each had a choice of entree, mains and desert and the food was simply superb. My boyfriend had garlic prawns whilst I had chicken satay, then for mains he had parmigana (which was hand crumbed chicken breast not pre packaged) and I had veal scollopini followed by desert of mud cake and what seemed to be homemade icecream (if it wasn't it was a really good quality one which was tasty as).
We tipped our waitress as the food was amazing, fresh and well presented and the service we received was excellent. We where speaking to the chef after dinner who was a lovely man and complimented him on his food.
We are locals to the area and will definitely be frequenting the Red Poppy Cafe again.

Unexpected surprise!. Went to Red Poppys Cafe and was VERY pleasantly surprised. While you don't necessarily go there for the decor - it's certainly clean and nice enough. Had a voucher otherwise probably would never have tried it. The service was prompt, friendly and nothing was too much. The food was DELICIOUS and so FRESH. The chips were AWESOME (I know... I know... how wrong can you go with chips?? but just try them!) Will definitely be going back!!
Good homestyle cooking. I had the parmi - it was freshly crumbed with yummy home made tomato sauce and the chips on the side were crispy.
Its BYO and 2 minutes from the train station- what more could I ask for?
