A very nice cafe to dine at for a casual lunch or morning/afternoon tea. Surprisingly extensive menu for a small cafe. But all produce has been brought up from Bunbury Farmers Markets and most items are made on site. Meals are very fresh and enjoyable. The crumbles are quite sweet, and when warmed in a microwave become soggy and sadly lose all texture. I feel there is a lot behind this cafe, and the gentleman I believe owns it is really lovely.
I have been looking for a local chef that can cook better than me and source fresh high quality ingredients. I am proud to say I have succeeded. Red Poppy's Cafe is so good! The meals are mouth watering and price well considering the higher cost of the locally sourced produce from Bunbury and fish from Derby. If you know food, then Red Poppy's is the place to go. Bring you dog! Red Poppy's Pet Cafe adjoins Red Poppy's pet treats!
Dropped in for lunch on a Saturday and it wasn't very busy. $17.50 for a burger, chips, and a piece of fruitcake is alright. The burger was very nice. Didn't take too long to make, and was definitely freshly made. The guy running the place was very nice. The menu had a decent amount of options, and several paleo suggestions for people so inclined. There wasn't a lot in the cabinet, but there were a couple of looking items.
