What a surprise. My wife booked Quoi for our anniversary dinner. Never believed fine food could hit my palate in the hills district. What a breath of fresh air. We normally have to go to Sydney CBD to get this sort of quality. With a reasonably priced wine list too. 5 Star to this hatted restaurant. The chef josh came out and talked to us which was a bonus and something I have never experienced at such a level. From the warm crusted bread to fresh oysters then onto the scallops and steak tartare I found it difficult to fault the expertise and execution of the food. The 950gm cote de Boef was sensational. The broccolini with char grilled lemon was a perfect side. Desserts were brilliant too. Definitely coming back.
Well what to say, this little quirky place which I wished I had found months ago! Atmosphere was great, being small you get the feeling your business is appreciated and the food... wow!! After an ordinary start with a appetiser of warm olives and bread (no olive oil balsamic dipping sauce) I dead set thought here we go another ordinary local place. Then the entree salmon Tata, boom fresh flavourful contrasting textures one of the best things I’ve ever tasted. Magical! At that point I thought I wish this was bigger and was my main meal, I was blown away. I moved onto my main wagu 7+ score rib eye and black truffle mash, not on the bone which worried me at first, but oh my god I wanted to bitch slap the chef for ruining all steaks I would have after this! Perfect... can not wait to return and try more! Thank you I loved it and it’s been a long time since I’ve thoroughly enjoyed a restaurant and is the first time I’ve written a review.
Cheers
We dined at Quoi for the first time last night, both having the degustation menu. The dishes were exquisitely crafted with incredible attention to detail. Each course begins as a feast for the eyes, and gets better as your other senses are engaged. Every one of the dishes was a perfect harmony of taste and texture, and the sequence of the degustation menu is cleverly thought out to create a dining experience that continues to build over the course of the meal.
Long established mainstays of fine dining such as Est. and Aria now have a serious rival in Quoi. Finally, the Sydney CBD stranglehold on high end dining has been broken by Josh and his team, who have managed to do so in a surprisingly welcoming and comfortable venue in The Hills district in Sydney's northwest suburbs. Locals are in for an absolute treat, and it is well worth travelling to, for those who might typically head to the city.
Another memorable dinner at Quoi. A real treat for Valentines day by the chef and the staff. The food was exquisite and melts in your mouth. This place is the real deal. I'm not going to town anymore as the fine dining came to me in Norwest. Cannot wait to go back.
I can’t fault this place. The food is delicious, beautifully presented and the staff are always attentive.
You never wait long to be served or for your meals to arrive.
Had dinner with my Dad here on Tuesday night and the duck is absolutely sensational. Must try.
Without a doubt the best dining experience in the Hills District; the creative food, the wine list and the service is impeccable. You simply have to try this restaurant, I can guarantee you will not be disappointed. We can’t wait to come back
Congratulations to Josh and his team on being awarded an “AGFG Hat”.
My husband and I had diner at Quoi Dining on New Year’s Eve, we had the 14 course tasting menu, the food was a delight. Every dish so well presented and delicious. This was our second time dining at Quoi and it was well worth the 30 minutes drive to get there.
Another amazing night at Quoi Dining. We had the tasting menu tonight which was delicious. Flavours and texture were spot on. Thanks Josh and team for a great night. If you haven’t been to Quoi Dining put it on your list. I highly recommend.
What a wonderful dining experience! The flavours of the food, the ambiance of the place and the attention to details was truly top class. The owner is also a lovely guys and you can tell he really loves what he does. We will definitely be back! So happy to finally have this level of exquisite dining in the hills
Finally found a great restaurant of European quality in The Hills. The food was amazing. We tried the tasting menu which both my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed. The food was flavoursome and creatively put together. The staff was very well informed and friendly. I loved the ambience in the restaurant it was very cosy. We will be back!
We’ve been coming to Quoi for about two years now, and every time I leave I think “I must leave a review” and never do.
It’s actually hard to think what to write because this place is just. so. unbelievably. good.
The best way I can describe it is that everything tastes like the best possible version of itself. There are no unnecessary frills or distractions; everything is simple, elegant, and made using excellent ingredients and with clear skill.
The prawn and avocado is so rich with flavour it’s the kind of thing you dream of for weeks after leaving. The steak tartare is exemplary to the point our dining companions stopped midway through our tasting menu to order another plate, and declared it the best decision they’d made that day.
Several visits ago a bouillabaisse demi-tasse was part of the tasting menu, and it was so evocative of summer holidays and shellfish fresh out of the water as a kid it blew me away - YMMV on that one, but give it a shot. If they did the corn cigars to take away I would seriously consider buying another fridge.
The service is also phenomenal. Sabrina and Kim could not be warmer, more welcoming, or more professional, and the recommendations and wine pairings from the wonderful sommelier are both unexpected (plum sake with steak tartare? Try it, it’s phenomenal) and perfectly judged.
PS they’re very child friendly.
I'm so glad this opened as it means there's another local restaurant that we can go to for fantastic food without having to travel all the way to the City for food if this calibre. Service was top notch, attentive and friendly staff. They do lunch specials Tuesday-Friday $39 for 2 courses and $49 for 3 courses. And also another menu where there are other options such as Ceviche Scampi which we opted for and it was fresh with delicate flavours which didn't overpower the scampi. The only thing we could pick on was my pork belly as some parts of the skin was crispy and some parts were more rubbery and chewy, but everything else was fantastic, we loved the Beef Tatare and would be heading back to try the other dishes as well as booking in for dinner to try their tasting menu.

beautiful lakeside landscape in North West Sydney. It's a small, cosy and intimate restaurant perfect for romantic dinners or special occasions. The main reason for us choosing this restaurant was because we wanted to try and experience Chef Josh Mason's dishes. He may only be 23 yrs old but with a list of awards under his
This Restaurent has the hart of a champion and the flavour of a three hated delight with the most honest warm friendly experience I have had in a long time
My wife and I went here for her birthday dinner, and will definitely return. The food quality at many restaurants has been affected by the ongoing pandemic, this clearly hasn't happened at Quoi. The attention to detail, serving size and taste were just perfect.
We went with A La Carte, and they were thoughtful to ask if we were sharing, and served as such. We were impressed that every dish arrived already portioned, which made our lives easier. Every dish had something going for it. The escargot in particular were delicious.
It was a busy night, and Jen, the hostess did a wonderful job to ensure everyone enjoyed their evening and was very accommodating.
A sophisticated, friendly and delicious experience in this refined, tucked away, gem of a restaurant.
We reserved an early table on a Saturday evening and went for the eight course tasting menu with matching wines. The service was friendly, warm and efficient and the food was delightful. A wonderfully considered menu with thoughtful elegant touches. Every dish was cooked and constructed perfectly. We loved the focus on Australian produce and wines too.
We'll definitely be back.
Great little find in the Hills District. Quoi is a small, intimate restaurant. The service was friendly and the food was great. The croquettes were nice and the steak tartar was ok but the mains and dessert killed it. The duck and eye fillet were cooked perfectly and the flavours were spot on. I'm salivating just thinking about it again. And the dessert was really nice which was a great finish to the meal. Overall good experience!
What an experience we had tonight.
My husband and I celebrated pre-valentines day here at Quoi dining this evening. We we’re so amazed by the quality and delicious food at this local fine dining restaurant in the hills. Can’t believe we didn’t try it sooner!
We even got to meet the man himself, the talented, chef Joshua Mason. Super awesome guy - and of course, behind him, his wonderful team. We admired them work effortlessly as they delivered each and every perfect dish.
Thank you for bringing quality food for the foodies in the hills district. Can’t wait to see your empire grow.
My finance and I have dined here 2 times so far and both occasions were spectacular from the service down to the quality of food.
We dined yesterday on valentines day and our waitress Mary was so attentive and bubbly we Defiently had to tip her before leaving.
It was so random that we also got designated the same exact table we had on our first experience here which funnily enough was table 14 and now will be our table of choice every future booking.
Keep up the fabulous work.highly recommend
First time eating here. Firstly they were so accommodating in a short time as we had plans to attend another restaurant and was cancelled on a moments notice. Secondly I love the fact that it's a small restaurant. The ambiance is wonderful and although the portions look small it is really filling. Quoi you will be seeing us again ! Compliments to the Chef, Joshua Mason.
A hidden gem, literally. Tugged away in the corner of Norwest business buildings, is this magnificent French restaurant. The last time we had French cuisine was when we were in Paris where we dined at a small French restaurant off the street of Champs-Élysées. This experience did bring back memories. Their collection of wines are very good and the wine we had , complimented our dishes and desserts. Certainly not our last visit there. We will certainly be trying the other dishes offered. Servings were not short of generous and all the meals were cooked to perfection. Bookings essential as the secret is out, the French Revolution is here to stay.
