This place is always busy especially on the weekend, so I would highly recommend booking in advance especially for large group. Food are good and quite authentic, just not as tasty as the other Vietnamese restaurant. Pho and the pork chop are recommended.
Always pass this place everyday going to work. From the outside it looks rather old and ghetto. The inside is so spacious, with usual non fussed Vietnamese restaurants. Staff are very friendly. I had their pho and while the soup isnt the tastiest I have had, I have to say there is something about their noodle that is really nice. They are very smooth but springy. Very nice texture of the noodles compared to other phos i have had. I put a teaspoon of chili oil to my pho and boy, that chili oil was really hot. It tasted different from other normal chili oil, like it has sambal sort of taste. Lucky i only put 1 teaspoon, not more. It definitely really changed the pho. The chicken vermicelli noodles was nice. Had apple custard smoothie for the first time and it was ok but not sure I can taste much of the custard apple in it. Would probably go for jackfruit smoothie instead next time. Oh, the menu is quite extensive, and i think they have some chinese/singaporean dishes too. For what you are getting, this place is such a good value! Will go back everytime i want my Vietnamese food fix.
Staff were very attentive and service after order was very quick.
Food was really good, and hit the spot with the famous things you normally think of with Vietnamese food and drinks.
Hit the craving I was after, and will be back.
Delicious traditional Vietnamese food! Very friendly staff! Casual atmosphere! We had the satay chicken stir fry and the grilled chicken bun salad!
I love the beef pho here and so does my partner! We both love it and this is our go to place whenever we crave. The Vietnamese ice coffee is also amazing and strong! The BBH is good too although I prefer the pho and would highly recommend :)
If you like pho, and you live out this way, I recommend coming here to try the rare beef pho. It's the best in the area and the restaurant is very popular as a result. While pleasant, it's a noisy, family-friendly environment and not the right place to propose to your girlfriend.
Had an awesome and cheap dinner here! Prawn spring rolls were delish, and the beef pho was second to none. Service was friendly and fast. Will absolutely return!
Great staff and good food. We visit this restaurant on a regular basis as the food is so good. Beef Pho very tasty and so are all the other fishers we have tried. Would certainly recommend.
Came here for dinner with my husband on Saturday night. We ordered 2 dim sims, spring rolls and pho. The service was great! The food came out fast and was delicious. Highly recommend!
Wanted to eat pho but lazy to go springvale and found this was closer so decided to try it out. Got a small rare beef pho and for the price, the portion was pretty filling and I don't think I been to anywhere that gives that amount of beef! And when I asked for rare, it actually comes out rare in thin slices then it slowly cooks till the meat is pink from the hot broth. Flavour is great, me and my partner ate in silence which always indicates we are enjoying our food a lot! Loved the broth too! Food came out quite quickly. Will be back to try other dishes as they looked great also. The only thing I would pick on is the greens leaves that came out looked a bit bruised but I normally don't add that in. Overall, delicious ..our pho cravings were well satisfied!
Edited 5.6.2018...came back and flavour is same as before however noticed the portions have shrunk quite a bit sadly and the medium and small servings and relatively small so makes it a bit expensive for what you get. 3 colors drink was tasty
After a long day at the snow, there was nothing more perfect than a bowl of piping hot pho. Firstly I'll just put it out there - the food here is great, don't get me wrong, but the food in Springvale is better. However while they lose in flavour they make up for with service. The waiters are a lot more attentive and friendly and also all speak English. They were also very patient as we were the last customers there but they didn't rush us at all.
The pho was delivious albeit slightly bland and not quite as nice as the ones from Springvale. Still very well done and super delicious. The chicken ribs were probably our favourite- a crunchy exterior revealing juicy and tender ribs underneath served with fragrant tomato rice. However they weren't spicy despite being noted as such on the menu. The crispy chicken were great as well but it would have been nice if there was a bit more than 3 pieces of chicken. The fried beef noodles were packed full of flavour but the beef could have been a bit more tender and the smokey flavour wasn't as strong. The avocado smoothie I had was extremely creamy with a subtle sweetness - it's super delicious, healthy and would totally recommend everyone to give it a go. Also love the cute character cups! Makes it easy to take with you if you weren't able to finish your drink during your meal.
Can't say much about the ambience. Just your typical asian restaurant lacking in decor or atmosphere but you'd come here for the food anyways.
So great food and friendly service - cant wait to be back especially for the chicken ribs!
My go to place for Asian cuisine in the area, you do not have to travel so far to places like Richmond, Springvale or Footscray for authentic Asian food, you have it here locally in Bayswater.
Delicious, hot, fresh and fast, pho and so much more. Get the spicy chicken ribs (that's number 114) you'll thank me later. Staff are sometimes quite inattentive because it's busy as hell. Just speak up and help yourself. You're getting delicious hot pho, quit complaining
I love this place. It can be quite difficult to find decent pho in the burbs sometimes, but Pho Huong fulfils all of my cravings. The servings are massive and the prices are very reasonable for what you get. The Bun is fresh and delicious and the pho hits the spot. I have also tried to quail wings which were fantastically flavoursome. Spring rolls average.
The service is always really quick and the staff at the front of house always make sure we leave with a smile on our faces :-)
Have been here a few times and always experience tasty authentic Vietnamese food at very reasonable prices. A bit hard to get the waiting staff attention sometimes but the place can get very busy at meal times so that's understandable. Will definitely return
Eat here all the time. Good cheap Viet food.
Combination broken rice is delicious.
Very quick service.
My only criticism is the plastic cups for the tea? Bring back the old cups!!!
I'm all about the honest opinions, no sugar coating, and needless to say, it was an enjoyable experience. You're firstly greeted with an environment that puts the place into perspective. A piece of Vietnam in Australia.
The food:
My friend and I ordered red rice with chicken spare rips, and the well known(amongst the Asian community) the rare beef noodle soup.
Red rice with chicken:
The chicken, on point. Crispy and juicy, 5/5. The rice... Well for that I believe it could have been better. As good as it looked, slightly dry. 3/5
The beef soup:
The beef, again very good, tender and soft 5/5, however something was missing.
Overall, I would rate this place 3.5/5. Thank you for the great service. Definitely would recommend!
Yummy food. Customer service is great and friendly. Food is delicious. Big menu so lots of variety. Food and drinks are very quick. Also ordered take away before and that's quick too. Another little gem in Bayswater.
I've been here a few times and never been disappointed. The rare beef pho is really good! Staff are always helpful, attentive and friendly. Not a huge fan of the plastic cups you get for the green tea but being free, I can't really complain.
There's not much pho place around the area, so if we want pho but don't wanna go to far , we will come here . The food is actually a lot better than two years ago so I am changing my review :) it's a 4 and I will come back .
The beef Pho was absolutely magnificent!!! Usually i have to drive all the way to victoria st for a decent Pho but NO MORE. Excellent pho and in the eastern burbs, very happy.
On their Pho and Three Colours ....
Soup was authentic, light and fantastic, on the sweet side but all good.
Medium size for $9.50 is a great value.
Beef & Tripe cooked perfectly, not rubbery also the Rice Noodles.
Three Colours is not too sweet, just balanced right.
Restaurant is clean and still has those Vietnamese food court/fast food elements in their furniture, decor and interior.
Service is modern, I think the cool 2nd Generation are running the place.
Great work.
This place is very good. Eaten here about five times and always been tasty and good.
Service lacks a bit and dishes come out at random times but its cheap and very good value.
For the outer eastern suburbs this is a great place. The pho is lovely and I really recommend the salt and pepper broccoli - delicious. There may be superior Vietnamese restaurants closer into town but for the suburbs this place is fab.
Had their battered salt and pepper broccoli and cauliflower and vegetarian rice paper rolls, SO GOOD! Not biggest vegetarian or vegan selection but the items they do have that are veg friendly are really great. Do recommend. Often busy, we had to line up out the front in the rain to get a table. Love the booth seating.
When you open the door to enter, you can hear the hum of the patrons chatting and munching their way through some delicious dishes. It's very casual dining, and the incredibly fast and friendly service is a great prelude to the piping hot pho, spring rolls, honey chicken and so much more. It is by no means fancy, but it's very clean, delicious and extremely reasonably priced. Around $40 for two people. Love it.
Love their pho. Love the rare beef pho. Soup is tasty, beef is fresh, taste just good. Also their pork chop broken rice is very nice too. You know pork chop is hard to make it tender but they made it real nice and very juicy. Family likes this place too.
always busy, and indication of a good restaurant. service got better since last time we went. and the food comes out pretty fast. definitely value for money besides the chef's specials, pretty over priced for an authentic viet place.
would recommend - just make a booking
Amazing value for money! It's not very often that a $9.50 soup can fill you right up! The manager is absolutely lovely, squeezing us in before a booking but making sure our meals were rushed through! Very accommodating! The place is always always always busy! Bookings are a must!
The only downside is the fact that their meals contain MSG. not the greatest ingredient and I'll be paying for that all night but still, well worth it!
Superb food.... We go to Pho's at least once a week and we always love the food. It is authentic and the atmosphere is terrific. Easy parking and close to home. We love the soup, the honey chicken and chicken with vegetables & cashews. It has now become our favourite place to dine and we have been to a lot of restaurants. The food is quality and the service is quick and friendly. We have no hesitations in recommending it. Enjoy the food.
The best food ever. Have been going for years & the food is always fantastic, love it all, & great service.!!

Great to have vietnamese food of this quality out in this area. Pork chop and tomato rice are a favorite, they do a solid pho and bun bo hue (although the bun bo hue has been touch and go in recent times) and fairly good dry vermicelli. Have this one with the drilled chicken and you can't go wrong. The service is nice and quite friendly but try and avoid the peak busy times (weekend dinner time), because it all goes pear-shaped then and you run the risk of orders being forgotten, out of queue and taking a long time.
Pho is tasty. I can never finish it all the way, but the pho is very tasty. Could do with a bit more generous serving of lime and chili and mint on the side, but otherwise flawless. Sometimes I find Sunday nights can be of a lesser quality, but I may have just got them on a very busy night. You never know who you might bump into here! My husband loves the sizzling beef and can't get past it.
Have been meaning to rave about this place for a while. While be had a favourite Vietnamese restaurant only a few doors away we came across Pho Huong Viet when our fav place was closed. What a god send that was. Although the food is similar each has its own good dishes that may be better than the other, Pho Huong really shines through on the service. You can wait a little while to place your order but that's ok they are generally busy. Also it is much quieter here. The main guy who might or might not be the owner is just so friendly you just want to keep coming back. We have been a number of times now in the last 6 months and taken so many friends.
If you want authentic Vietnamese at a reasonable price the give this place a try, you wont be disappointed. In fact I like it so much I think we'll be back tonight.
Best Viet in the East ..... While we are regular visitors to Richmond for a good feed of authentic Viet, have been going to Pho's for ages and never disappoints. Just make sure you book as there is always a wait on weekends but even if you pop in unannounced you don't need to wait long. Food is great. Typical Viet restaurant (Tiled floors, melamine tables) but for this style of restaurant, wouldn't expect anything else!
Love it !!!!. This restaurant is best place to go for dinner ! I love it so much! The food is really good! The waiter with the rat tail is so cute and he did really good job!
Fast staff & great food. Fantastic option for affordable and tasty viet in the area. Every dish i've had has been delicious and is now a regular place to go among friends! Quail is amazing!
Amazing. We are regulars, as are our friends. Hong (the owner) is amazing, super friendly, great atmosphere and very nice food!
Great Place - Friendly Service. I'd say the one of the best Pork Dumpling Soups in Melbourne. Great quick and easy meal highly recommended.
Awesome. Fast service.
Attentive staff.
Great food with a wonderful taste and large servings.
Not somewhere fancy to go with friends or a romantic dinner, but instead a great place to go for a quick, value for money dining experience.
Best pho in the eastern suburbs. Eat here at least once a week. Diligent staff make dining quick and enjoyable
One of the best pho soups in Melbourne. Affordable, good size portions and our waiter was very helpful. Will be back!
I love this restaurant. Never disappointed after coming here for many years. Friendly, fast, delicious, cheap. My favorite!
Good food and service. A great local restaurant, great food, good service and well priced.
My fav - stir fried egg noodles with beef and vegetable, chicken ribs with tomato rice and beef soup noodles.
Delicious pho, nice rich broth. Fresh ingredients. Spring rolls were a bit flat and insubstantial but tasted good nonetheless. Glad there's good pho nearby. Will be back!
Great Food. Fantastic food, good atmosphere, love the beef salad!
Regular Customer. I eat here at least once a week and have never been disappointed. The service is very fast and the prices are great. My personal favorite is the red rice with diced beef. Highly recommended to anyone who likes Vietnamese!
Favourite Vietnamese in outer east. Been here more times than I can count, great friendly service, consistent quality and one of the best beef pho in the east after Victoria Street. Wide variety of other Vietnamese meals, every one we have ordered has been tasty with a generous serving. With the exception the vegetarian noodle soup, which had a sickly sweet broth which was hard to consume. Overall, a gem in the eastern suburbs.
My boyfriend and I come here for pho about twice a week. It's cheap, delicious and the staff are so friendly. I love the ghetto decor too! The prawn spring rolls are awesome, as is the sliced beef pho. We never get anything else because our 'usual' is so good!
This has very quickly become a midweek fave for us. Found this plave through urban spoon and I think have been approx once a week since! The food is great quick to come out and we have not struck a rude staff member yet. Its a great find close to home as we would always go to box hill and now we dont have to. Its cheap and cheerful and definitely worth a visit!

Brilliant. The meals won't always come out together, you may find that your starters arrive half way through your main course, you may wait a while for your drinks if they're busy. Want premium service? Go back to toorak. The service is always friendly, the food always fantastic, and the bill always pleasing. This has been our local since moving into the area 12 months ago. We've taken family and friends here, from 2 of us to 16 of us. The food makes it wirth the visit, the manager and staff make it worth the return. this place is not perfect, but when you come to understand that, youll enjoy it all the more. 1 of 3 Vietnamese in the same strip, and 1 of many Asian options (all good also), this is what tops the list for us.
Love this place. I love this place. We come here often and each time the food has been amazing. The service is friendly and quick. So cheap!

Visited on a Friday night. Booking a must. Food is quick fresh and absolutely Devine. Recommend deep fried pork ribs!!!! Service fast and friendly. A truly great feed and great value for money.
Ate here for dinner last night for the first time. We usually travel from wantirna south to box hill or Richmond for pho... No need to now! Ordered the rare beef pho, spring rolls, grilled pork vermicelli noodles and the most amazing dish... The soft shell crab.... OMG!!!! Amazing!!!!! Along with great service and a great price. This place has definitely secured a spot on our favorite locals list. Can wait to return.
Best value around. I eat here a couple of times a week, Great food at great price's some of the best Pho this side of Springvale can be very busy at lunchtime but worth the wait highly recommended
This is my favorite place in the eastern suburbs for lunch or dinner. The chicken pho is amazing, all the dishes are full of flavor and the staff are so friendly! Love!!!
Lovely customer service and beautiful food!! Definitely coming back!!
Regular every Friday. A group of us (4 to 10 people) travel from Doncaster every Friday for lunch.
Great food, friendly staff, great place to eat.
See lots of other "regulars" there from local businesses.
Be careful or the "smiling assasin" if he offers you his special chilli, very very hot !!!
Food is excellent ,good service & well priced, atmosphere good :-)
Great, great and great.. Great food, Great value, Great service...this place is a hub of activity on most nights, food is just delicious and served quickly. Highly recommend the soups and rice paper rolls...yum :-))..
Nice .... Who would have thought that a great Pho place would exist in Bayswater. Our family had always travelled to Box Hill to slurp a bowl when I found this little gem. Ordered a rare beef Pho ... and an ice coffee to boot. As the great one once said ... "I'll be back"
Happy regular customer. My partner and I moved to across the road nearly a year ago and we've been happy regulards ever since. The pho is phenominal and cheap. Not to mention the service is fantastic. It's always welcoming to have your order remembered so precisely even down to the drink (although makes me think oh damn do I come here to often?). Safe to say that we'll be returning as long as the restaurant exists.
Cheap, cheerful and super tasty!
Best pho in east. I lived in Hanoi for a while so I know good Pho. This is good Pho...even though it is Saigon style. Pho Tai is my fav here.

Very friendly service. Pho broth quite rich in taste.would have liked more viet mint served with soup. The fried squid was a bit average, maybe not the freshest. Really yummy vietnamese coffee, could savor the condensed milk, it wasn't just a dense coffee flavour.
Always great. I don't see how anyone could not like this place. This place is always busy which shows how good the food is here. Definitely one of the best pho restaurants in Melbourne. Helps to go with someone who has been there before if you have never been to a Vietnamese restaurant before. Can't go wrong with rice paper rolls with pork and prawn! It's an automatic order whether we dine in or takeaway.
Extremely happy when we found this Vietnamese restaurant just 10 minutes away from home! All the dishes were fresh and delicious, did not have to wait long for them to be served at all. Also, we would like to thank the staff for being so friendly and accommodating, will come back so many more times because of this 🥰
This place has an American style cafe setup with long red benches and high tables. Quite busy, bustling with all types walking in for the wide variety of pho they offer as well as other asian dishes. My highlight was their bubble tea menu including their alcohol bubble tea 😁. Will try it another day. Pho broth was yummy and warmed us up on this cold autumn day.
Recommend their pho beef & chicken combination special. So delicious!!!
HOW ARE PEOPLE COMPLAINING ABOUT PORTION SIZE AND PRICE. Go to springvale and these prices are normal. Portion size is normal. The Pho has great flavour and we left full and satisfied. Ingrediants are fresh! I've recently moved to the area and i'm very happy this place exists. Now i don't need to travel to Glen or Springvale. They even have bubble tea! What more can you ask.
Great food and good service too. combination pho is my favorite, but the spicy one is also fantastic.
Nice and convenient viet restaurant on the road, the pho broth was delicious! The spring rolls were small and crunchy. Overall we enjoyed it, despite the nuoc nam sauce for the Bun Thit Nong being a bit too sweet, I prefer mine with a bit more lime:)
I love this place one of the best in my area even after forgetting my phone(I haft to use crutches) they ran out to our car the foods amazing though
Yum and refreshing. Partner and I got take away tonight, first time we’ve eaten here and we will definitely be back! The food was so flavourful and fresh, filling and not heavy. Absolutely divine, we had the vermicelli bowls, beef salad, rice paper rolls and fried wonton! Interested to try some rice dishes next
Good value for money and lovely tasty dishes. Very big menu and will supply take away dishes for you if unable to finish (of which I was unable).
Would be happy to visit again.
4 stars as could do with a decent clean toilets while acceptable could see was only spot cleaned as needed and had good caking if dust, which always makes we worry about how the kitchen may be kept.
