Busy, always a good sign. Friendly and very knowledgeable staff. TERRIFIC food, great wine selection. One of the rare dining experiences that enters into my book of Never Forgottens. On. Point. The Ox and Hound Bistro is a must visit if you are in Beechworth. Everything about this place is excellent. To the rustic decor and comfy seats, to the perfectly curated menu. I would highly recommend anyone who is in Beechworth to book ahead and enjoy this great experience. The food is delicious, and do yourself a favour by getting their signature honey dessert with the paired wine. You won't be disappointed. The service is timely and all the staff were an absolute pleasure to deal with. I will be returning and recommending this place to my friends. Thanks for a great dinner.

We really enjoyed the food but it was unfortunately under seasoned. A bit of salt fixed it but did not expect this faux pas when you are paying over $200 for an evening out. Perhaps the chef was having a rough day and all is forgiven. Very extensive wine selection and we enjoyed every bit.
