Great little fish & chip shop in the amazing town of Beechworth. Great options on what lunchbox selections to choose from and really amazing value, with the side salad. I’d most definitely recommend giving this place a try.

It's interesting to note other reviewers suggesting it was the best they have ever had.
I don't imagine that battered barramundi and sweet potato scallops could actually be any better, as it's impossible to surpass perfection.
We ate in the Cafe, the food was cooked quickly and served piping hot.
I plan to return for more, despite living 1400+ kilometres away.
There are some serious fine places to eat at Beechworth. The ageing frog fish bar is a must do for those that appreciate a good fish and chips. This is one of the best fish and chips I have ever had. Easily the best potato cakes ever had, good portion of fresh fish and delicious chips. Do yourself a favour and check them out.
Amazing potato fritters!! A must try for all! Also the spicy cauliflower dish is very tasty also.

John Sampson. At the recommendation of The Stanley Goose Cottage where we were staying we visited The Ageing Frog Fish bar and had an absolutely great "feed'. Chips and potato cakes were delicious, battered fish, sardine and crumbed prawn melted in the mouth.
This is a real quality fish and chippery with generous proportions and a patient, friendly receptionist taking orders.
A must visit if in the Beechworth area.
Best gluten free fish and chips we've ever had
Worth visiting just for the potato cakes. Home made, creamy potatoes with beautifully light batter! The whitebait with home made aioli were superb. It's nice to see non-standard options on the menu too. The squid tentacles & sardines - yum! Two thumbs up!

Hands down the best fish n chips we've had. Definitely recommend the fish burger, crumbed prawns and potato cakes. We'll be back next time we're in town. Well done.
Nice to find a fish and chip shop offering gluten free! The fish was high quality and the batter was not too thick and cooked to perfection. Unfortunately the GF flour doesn't have the same texture as conventional flour, almost a bit too crispy but that's better than soggy and undercooked. This particular mix did have a subtle flavour in the mix that I didn't like but others may not notice it.
Chips were just average in my opinion, not bad, but nothing special.
Fabulous fish and chip shop! It was such a delightful surprise to find they cater for coeliacs with gluten free food cooked in a separate fryer. The GF batter looked every bit as delicious as the regular batter. Tasty potato cakes and very generous portions. Highly recommended.
Last night the only two places you could buy take away in Beechworth were Aging Frog and Coffee Stains. There was a power outage earlier in the day. the pubs were either booked out or the chef was sick. These two were under the pump and we chose Aging Frog. They let us know the wait was going to be an hour and took my phone number. The text came though at 55 minutes. There was no compromise on the food. It was as good as all the other reviews say it is.
This fish and chippery is amazing. The fries are fried to perfection, their sauces are home made. I highly recommend the tomato sauce made with little pieces of ginger. The fish sandwich tastes so good, with fresh veggies and soft bread and a big fish burger between.
Wow, The aging frog Fish Bar is one of the best fish and chips shop. The fish was cooked very well with strong and professional customer services. The prices are great. I would strongly recommend if you visit beachworth do visit and enjoy your meal. Many thanks
By far the best chicken nuggets I've ever had from a fish n chip shop 100% ☺ chips are amazing too. Excited to try some different things from the menu over the coming weeks
This is my go to fish and chip shop when visiting Beechworth. Great quality seafood, well priced and lovely service. Cooked to perfection it’s a definite treat visiting!
