One of the best yum cha venues in a suburban area, inside Canterbury League Club. Nice ambiance with a soft flowing moat and architecture styled Chinese decor. Decent food & attentive service. 😀

They are undergoing a renovation at the moment and will reopen under new management perhaps after the lockdown. Hope everything will be the same and even better when I return next time. 🙂

One of my favourite places to go and enjoy scrumptious Yum Cha with a great variety of dishes. The chicken feet here are excellent. With one of the best Su Mai I have eaten so far.
Also love unwraping an extra perfect sticky rice parcel. Stuffed with amazing flavours of pork mince, egg and of course the best little nugget of joy to grace this perfect pod, Chinese sausage 🤤
With Fast and friendly service to match the spectacular dishes.

My fave place to go for yumcha, they got a good selections of dimsums.. went a couple of times for dinner too, taste delicious and portions are very generous. They are not as busy as other yumcha places maybe coz they got pretty big space in the canterbury club. Definitely worth a try!

Service is really good too, friendly and prompt staffs.

It’s the long weekend and we thought we’d Yum Cha. A quick search said that The Dynasty inside Canterbury Leagues Club was one of the best in Sydney so we decided to battle the crowds and give this place a whirl… except there were no crowds! We were seated, tea and extra chili sauce on table within seconds!

We went through the standard white-people yum cha selection (aka no chicken feet – even though I love chicken feet in the brown sauce!). The Prawn Cheong Fun (Rice Noodle Rolls) were delicious (5/5). The Shaomai were large and in charge (5/5). The Har Gow (Prawn Dumplings) were what you expect when you order your steamer container (5/5). The Scallop Steamed Dumplings were probably the least favourite of ours but still went down nicely (3/5). Finally, the Fried Squid was crispy, spicy, salty and arrived at our table piping hot (5/5). The prawn dumplings and rice noodle rolls were so delicious that we ordered 2!

For dessert, we shared some mango and egg goodness! The Egg Tarts were fluffy, creamy, light and delicious (5/5), the Mango Pancakes were very good, but a little ripe (3/5) and the Mango Pudding was a little bland (2/5). I feel that by the time we grabbed dessert we were too full to tackle, even though we had spent 90 minutes there already!

For a yum cha restaurant, the service here is extremely friendly. Everyone had a smile and was very polite and there was no pushing white-people dishes onto our table. We will be back again!

This restaurant is located inside the Canterbury Leagues Club. Slightly dark interior, we were seated not long after getting a number. It's best to get here earlier to avoid waiting a long time for a table. We were celebrating Father's Day so a Chinese yum cha would be a great choice for us.

Service is pretty good and attended to our requests quite swiftly. The quality of the yum cha items were piping hot and fresh (positioning of your table is important as we were seated near the kitchen where the food was coming out). The standard of yum chas in Sydney are quite variable but this was one of the better ones albeit being slightly pricy for a suburban one.

Overall very tasty and would re-visit for yum cha again.

One of Sydney's many Chinese restaurants that operate out of the local RSL. You arent going to be wowed by their crystal prawn gow gees or their amazing turnips cakes because neither of these exist here - however on their secret menu lies two little hidden gems that arent found at all of the yum chas around Sydney - Chinese Donutstick Stuffed with Seafood Mash wrapped in Rice Noodles and Chinese Donutstick Stuffed with Spring Rolls wrapped in Rice Noodle. PS I like stuffed Chinese Donuts wrapped with Rice Noodles

Went here for yumcha on a tuesday afternoon. It had a very regal chinese atmosphere. The food was also very quick; and plenty of helpful waiters. I especially enjoyed the braised pork dish. The mango sago was also a delight. However, it was abit exy.

You're not going to find another restaurant with better deco around Canterbury area and the food is quite good. They also do yumcha but it gets quite busy during Saturday arvo.

Came for for lunch and you see a banner that timeout magazine had voted this one of the best yum Cha places in Sydney! Well let's see
Everything was either up to standard or better than expected except for one dish, the pork dumplings are different to what I'm use too but still tasty. Turnip cake and pork ribs stood out for me.
But there prawn Cheong fun was not good, the prawns inside yes but the rice noodle they put on the outside was hard which was strange. Usually it's dry soft.
Apart from this service was good, prices reasonable,a popular place so come early otherwise you will be waiting

A very pleasant evening with friends. Although quiet this Thursday evening, the service was first class. All the staff were friendly and attentive. The food we ordered was '60's classic "Chinese" ( Cantonese) food; lemon chicken, Mongolian lamb, honey prawns, braised pork, fried rice, fortune cookies, etc. Brought back memories of my childhood. Loved it! Surprisingly, for such dated cuisine and presentation, it was excellent. The chicken was plump, soft and tasted of chicken not overpowered by the lemon. The lamb melt in the mouth with a nice balance of Hosin sauce and not overstuffed with onions. The pork soft and salty..... All the servings were generous and by request, not bought to the table all at once. Nearby a large family celebrated their 5yo son's birthday, with laughter, singing and a blue and white ice-cream cake. So lovely to able to see people together enjoying life. A really pleasant evening with friends.

Pretty good place for a yum cha. It is located inside RSL club, which has a nice interior and an indoor waterfall. The restaurant has a cool entrance, the staff was very attentive and polite. We ordered chicken feet, truffle siu mai, garlic chive and prawn dumplings and rice noodles with prawn. Food was good, you pay at the table and they accept Visa and Mastercard.

I love trying new places for Yum Cha. I must say the ambience of this restaurant is lovely. It’s nicely decorated and presented. The wait staff are very attentive. It doesn’t have the food coming on the trolleys. You order on a piece of a4 paper and the wait staff will whisk it away to the kitchen. They’ll leave the bill thingy and mark your dishes ordered on it as soon as you receive them. The food was yummy. My pork football wasn’t hot but it was tasty. I tried a new steamed dumpling dish , it was pork with truffles, it smelled devine , but very similar to the steamed pork ones. I loved the pork spareribs, steamed rolled Rice noodle with beef, mango pancakes, and sticky rice the best. The chicken feet were a different flavour than one you normally get. It’s a little more expensive but I still think Vanh Phat in Cabramatta is the place to go!

Friendly staff and the food I'd rate a high 7/10 for the three dishes I had. I've seen this restaurant many times in the past but never walked in. It's located inside the Canterbury club in Belmore. Prices are moderate. The restaurant seat lots of people. It has the yum cha spinning disk on some tables. The one thing that took me by surprise was when I was asked if I like to pay a tip. I don't think that's appropriate and if someone pays a tip it should be there idea because they were over impressed by the food or service. This tip business is American made and we don't want to be like them. Business should pay their staff adequately so tip or no tip they are looked after.

This is one of our favourite yum cha places in Sydney and we have been coming for years. The food is freshly prepared, tastes great and is reasonably priced. The service is friendly and polite. The restaurant is also very clean. Highly recommended if you are in the area.
