Review Rifle Brigade Hotel - Bendigo

It was ok, service was prompt, the vibe was busy but then might be Ive got used to been in lockdown 😆 , if anything ( this is why my 4 star rating) I expected my wife's mocktail served in a nicer glass🍹 and not just in a common pub glass with no catching eye detail 🍓other than that keep the good work up😉

Great pub with loads of ambience & atmosphere. After a long day of flights (topped off with a small family emergency back home) we made our way to this iconic pub and wasn't disappointed. Met with friendly staff (shout out to Bree) and nice cold beers to help settle our day. Bree went above and beyond to look after us and seated us near the warm fire place as we had some lovely comfort food for dinner. Highly recommend.

We visited the Elvis From Graceland exhibition. It was absolutely amazing. Staff friendly and efficient. Will definitely return.

The food was fast, excellent quality and plenty for the price. The entrance bar is a little cramped but the rest of the parts of the building are laid out to negate this. The outside seating area is open and spacious. Love that they have local products featured. The staff are super friendly and very helpful. Overall looking forward to my next visit.

Had a lovely lunch at The Rifle Brigade Hotel yesterday. The food was really delicious with large portions for the the money. They have a few gluten free options which is good and the waitress asked if my gluten free meal was due to coeliac disease and which I really appreciated that they are considerate of that. I had the gluten free lemon pepper calamari which was flavourful and soft. My parents had the steak and the stuffed chicken which they both loved. Special thanks to our first waiter Fraser who was extremely accommodating to my mum. There was initially only tables available outside, we asked if it was possible to sit inside and initially was offered a bar table and bar chairs, due to my mum's injured leg it would have been hard for my to get up on a bar chair. Fraser did his best and found us a normal table. My mum was extremely appreciative. Wonderful experience and definitely would be back.

Honestly if it weren’t for the amazing food I would give one star. Normally the staff are so attentive and pleasant but tonight we were barely spoken to or approached. We ordered a plate of dips and bread to share which we didn’t receive. No one came to see how our meal was or ask if we needed anything. We tried to get the attention of the waiters and only after an hour and ten minutes were we able to get a dessert menu. We then waited 20 minutes for our order to be taken. Pay a little more attention to your customers, the impression is lasting. The food however, is perfect.

My husband and I had our wedding reception upstairs at The Rifle and it was amazing! The food was beautiful and having our own bar made it a lot easier for our guests to get their own drinks! The staff were so helpful, kind and easy to deal with, they did all the setting up for us, and they did an exceptional job!! The Rifle certainly made our night so relaxed and easy! Highly recommend the rifle for your next function or even for a night out!!

Without a doubt - pumpkin pizza - best pizza I've ever had, for someone's that not a vegetarian it was really good. Also the Beers are cold and tunes are pretty mint, good job Rifle �

Lovely interior.. great friendly staff... fantastic salt pepper squid.. braised pork ... paella and the orange almond cake yumo. Great anniversary dinner. This is our fav hotel in bendigo. Hat off to the chef.

We had a function upstairs in the balcony this October. The staff were great in the lead up, they worked with us so we could look at the venue multiple times. They were very up front about the cost, there were no hidden suprises. The food was delicious. We had quite a number of people with different dietry requirements and they catered for them all. Special shout out to Jenna for making sure everyone got their food. As an added bonus the Rifle supplied flowers and candles so the place was already decorated.

We had an amazing meal. Cheese cob for starters followed by lamb strap (delicious) and Thai beef salad, finishing with choc brownie and a mango panacotta.The staff were fantastic and looked after us very well considering they seemed quite busy. Well done Rifle Brigade.

Beautiful view from the balcony. Decor cool and stylish, immaculate toilets and staff wonderful and accommodating.

Had the most beautiful meal here tonight. The waitress we had I believe her name was Jenna. She was so hospitable, polite and accommodating! Thank you for a great night :)

Really fast service, though it wasn't really busy. Had the burger, it was really nice, only issue was that it was just too big to be eaten with your hands. Kaye had the fish and it was really good. Beer was nice and cold.

We had a great lunch here today after seeing the Marimekko Exhibition. Service was wonderful and food was fabulous in a great surrounding.

Great place! Beer was cold and food was amazing! Better signage for the toilets is the only "negative".
