There is a lot to like about the Golden Vine Hotel at 135 King St Bendigo, that is because there is a lot going on. Depending on the night, you will find trivia, live bands, pub choir and more. We popped in for a meal; I had the Lemon Pepper Calamari with wonderful crispy chips and tartar sauce. The meal really hit the spot. We found the staff happy, friendly and welcoming. What more could you ask for?

If you order food order it at least 30 mins before you think you will want it. They over cook a lot of stuff though.

We are a couple from Melbourne, and were there a week ago, (18/2/22), for an early dinner and to see the brilliant Quarry Hillbillies. Had a great Wagyu Burger, and Jenny loved her Warm Beef Salad.
All the while, the service, enthusiasm and atmosphere was one of relaxed enjoyment and great music.

Wonderful little hotel that seems to have a variety of musical nights. Good meals & Great staff.
The only negative was steps to the ladies restroom, which of course is difficult for disabled customers. There may be another room for disabled so I will have to go back and check it out further.
Definitely worth a visit if only to check out their cocktails they develop on sites. The barman was working on a new one while we were there.

Very crowded - although it was a special night, they have a lot. Had to crawl over seat to get out. Food was plenty and quite good. Mixed grill: well cooked and flavoursome, although as with all thin cut steak everywhere, way over done: literally no more than sear each side and it is tender, any more and it is boot leather.

The ambience is nice, the food I had was horrendous how do you stuff up fish chips and salad, every mouthful tasted like oil, no amount of salt could even improve it. And as for the wailing woman in the front bar, I was considering taking up a collection to get her to stop attempting to sing and go home. After 2 hours I'd had enough and left.

Good food & great price for lunch, with a couple of vegetarian options. Service was fast. Not too crowded. Was a nice place to catch up for weekday lunch with friends.

Been to the Golden Vine Hotel twice now for lunch and must say the food is excellent, the beer cold and it has a lovely friendly atmosphere ... thank you so much for the top notch service, great food and warm atmosphere two thumbs up from me !!!! We went Saturday night for a meal... .. Waitress informed us there was a party of 40 just placed food order and might be a bit of a wait... It didn't seem that long before we were served our meal... The young chef did an excellent job that night keeping everyone happy.... There were other diners as well... Food was fantastic staff were great and the music was perfect.... The Cartwheels were playing country and western sooo good... We will def be back... Keep up good work

Friendly staff and usually something interesting on. Ten dollar lunches great value. Meals in general very large. Great to have a local that supports live music too. Nice atmosphere, not dive-ish.

Bendigo's iconic live music pub is again that with new owners Kevin and his team bringing back a pub you want to keep returning too. The new menu is a mix of pub classics with a little more sophistication at very reasonable prices. We are working our way through the menu each week! Fav's so far are the beetroot arancini balls, gourmet nachos and smoked pork belly. A very comfortable and inviting atmosphere and friendly faces make you feel welcome. Trivia on a Wednesday is a lot of fun and very entertaining. Big thumbs up for the new Vine.

This place is the real deal. Just got home from the second time having eaten here and once again it didn't disappoint. Legit American BBQ and killer sides. Burgers are spot on and that brisket is LEGIT. Great selection of beers on tap and some really cool gins, whiskey and wines.

The Vine is always a great place to see live music. It was fantastic last Sunday 15.4.18 Hats off to Rhyley McGrath who invited local muso's to join him in a Jam Session. What a huge success, the local talent was outstanding and in abundance. Looking forward to the next months Sunday Jam Sesh. Great menu, great service and the food was available all day. 10 out of 10...

First time trying out the new menu at the vine, always drove past and thought abit dingy but lately I've heard great things about the bar and new menu so checked it out, I've had other popcorn chicken around Bendigo pubs but the vine has taken it next level and legit made it even better. Awesome food. Great selection of beers and ciders to go with the perfectly spiced food.
