Pulled in here and to be honest I wasn't expecting much from it, being a little roadside cafe. Firstly, I was relieved that they took EFTPOS as we had stopped at a pie shop which didn't take EFTPOS and charged for sauce! Who the hell carries cash these days? Anyway, we had a sausage roll, a beef pie and a steak cheese and bacon pie and OMG!! The sausage roll and tomato relish were life changing! I've never had a sausage roll so good in my life. I now feel angry about all the inferior sausage rolls I've had in my life, how can they share a name with this delicious piece of heaven?! The pastry was buttery and the filling had so much flavour. It was beautiful. If I had another child I would name it "The Hive Sausage Roll" in it's honour, that's how strongly I feel about this sausage roll and I don't even like sausage rolls much. The pies were delicious too and some of the best pies I've ever had. I was just so full after the sausage roll that I didn't really get to enjoy my pie. Having recently moved to the area from Melbourne, I can now happily turn my nose up at the Melbourne food scene with their deconstructed everything, and take comfort knowing that the world's greatest sausage roll is down the road in Berambing.
Delicious Focaccia with ham, tomato, cheese and eggplant with Matcha tea for breakfast was delicious and then had apple pie and cream it was Bellissimo!!! You are both excelling yourselves with your cooking and service. Can't wait for your winter specials
A very nice little cafe to stop for a cuppa and toilet break. The toilets were lovely and clean, the person serving us was friendly and cheerful and I really enjoyed my red velvet hot chocolate. They have lactose free milk available.
Enjoyed this small family run cafe. Something for everyone on the menu, and most items are baked on the premises after we enquired. Croissants, sourdough, pies and toasties. Yummy cakes and slices. You can tell they are passionate about coffee too. You can sit outside so dog friendly.
Finally got to try to a burger from here after hearing how good they are. It did not disappoint!! We've been getting coffee's and toasties here for a long time and it doesn't matter what you order, its always delicious!!!!!
We stopped at the Hive for lunch on the way back from the Blue Mountains Botanical Gardens, which is only 5 minutes away. Great little cafe, with tasty burgers and toasties to choose from. Coffee was also good. It also has a little shop selling local honeys and treats. Even freshly baked apple pies. Very yummy.
Cute little joint with not much seating indoors (3 tables or so), people cram in from the cold.
Great egg n bacon roll with sweet onion chutney done really well in a brioche bun. It's a little small but delicious.
Coffee was average.
A great place to stop before going to the mountain garden. Interior design looks nice and outdoor seat looks great, too. Food were great but drinks can be improved 😊.
Parking available 👍
I love their sandwiches💕
