We love this place! We have lived here for 20 years and I think it opened about 14-15 years ago. The food is just great, always delicious. The restaurant is always busy especially on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights, though it serves lunch Tuesday to Friday too. The staff are very obliging, attentive, polite with lovely smiles. We would highly recommend Thai River!
By far the best Thai food I've ever eaten in Brisbane. If you don't live near Birkdale it is worth the drive! Staff are absolutely amazing, food is great!!!

Always good service and good food! Not the best in the world but definitely best in area. Have eaten here many times and will continue to. Pad Thai is especially good and their entrees are yummy

We walked in and the girl was moody seemed like she didn't want us there told us to seat our selves nice setting n decor and a prity wide range to choose from we got the crumbed calamari the crumbs where nice n crispy and the dipping sauce was really well balanced sweet but spicy and great value 8 rings for $8.50 isnt bad also odered for mains sweet n sour chicken it was prity good my girls enjoyed it and also got Traditional Thai with chicken it was ok.the cashew chicken was the pick of the 3 mains the Thai chicken fried rice was prity good as well had a good taste and mix or veg very good value overall 71.90 is prity good for such a big feed the girls serving let the Thai river down there where not friendly at all hopefully they will be friendly to others the food is good could be worth trying again
Great for takeaway. Green curry and massaman curry are always delicious. Takeaway is always ready on time. Coconut rice is delicious and very coconut-y.

I am a regular here and I would rate this as the best Thai joint in the Redlands- excellent customer service, all the dishes I have tried are delicious and good serving sizes at a reasonable price. The restaurant itself is inviting and is BYO which is also great. Would highly recommend 5/5
Have tried the Chicken Pad Thai, Chicken Stir Fry and the Massmam Beef Curry... all were great! Best Thai in the Redlands City area for sure.

Most beautiful thai food in the area. I must say, this Thai is the best around here, the authentic tasting is flavourable, cuztomisable food and the staffs offer a very good service. The vegetable they used are so fresh and the atmosphere of dining there is so overwhelming!
Excellent Thai in Redlands. The raving Urbanspoon reviews led us to Thai River from our stay in Wellington Point. The food was so fresh, tasty yet light and delicate, not too heavy. Tom Yum with Prawns came each with massive fresh Prawns. Veg and Tofu in Oyster Sauce beautiful, Pad Thai perfect. Left very satisfied with left overs to take home.
Food is very good, service are warm and friendly. Have been to Thai River about five times, very satisfying every time. The only down side is in summer it gets a bit hot. Either their AC was not turned on or they don't have AC. Apart from that it is a very enjoying dinning experience, the restaurant is well presented and nicely decorated. Very good indeed.
Enjoyed a nice dinner here with family for Christmas eve. The prices were really good, and the portions were large. The staff were very polite and friendly the whole time. I especially enjoyed the Pad Thai and the curry puffs. Definitely recommend 😊👍

First time trying Thai River based on a friend's recommendation. The food totally met my expectations. Arrived hot and packaged to minimise spillage. Splurged on delivery and turned up right on time. Will definitely order again.
