Another cafe with minimal signage but a maximum "Melbourne-cafe-experience". Friendly staff. They're doing coffee right over there, if you are a snob for coffee, you will appreciate their expertise and finesse. (Ordered a soy magic, that went down so smoothly , great temp ) I also ordered the egg benny for 16 bucks (cheaper than most eggs Benedict at any other cafe around Melb) simply delicious, great proportion. Ambience is perfect for a place to study, work. Quite a small nook, so wouldn't recommend more than 3+ person catch -ups.

Battle has become a bit a weekend requirement, the coffee is always exceptional, food is always tasty and well presented and the friendly service is always inviting...if you have not yet been to battle you should

This morning I dined on banana bread and a strong almond latte whilst having my hair done. This clever cafe delivered to my hairdressers a couple of doors down. The banana bread was delicious and not too sweet, unfortunately I gobbled it down before remembering to take a photo! The coffee was lovely, I forgot to ask for strong but really enjoyed it.

Called into Battle Cafe this morning after dropping my other half at a hair dressing appointment nearby... otherwise I might never have known about this little block of shops in Blackburn North. A cute little cafe that was light and bright with whites, light wood and greenery, a winning formula in cafe decor. I grabbed a take away latte and couldn’t walk away from the rhubarb and pistachio danish. Coffee was served strong and made with care with milk art despite the fact that a lid was placed above it. I didn’t get to see the cafe menu but there were signs up advertising new menu coming soon so good to see a place that updates its offerings on a regular basis.
Service was friendly and relaxed and although I was only in Battle for a short time I thought it had a great feel.
Finally Blackburn!! Great tasting food AND amazing coffee and conveniently at my doorstep :) Had brekky here this morning, avocado with a sous vide egg on the side... deeeeeelicious!! They even have hot chilli relish haha so very happy!! The staff are friendly and service is great too! I would definitely recommend checking out Battle Cafe!
This place offers not only the best coffee in Blackburn North, but amazing toasties and food for the customers on the go or just wanting something light.

Came down to Battle during the early days when they were still offering a very limited menu. Coffee and croissant was great.
Have since some back since the menu was updated and had a delicious smashed avo deluxe and my girlfriend and I had some really tasty coffees. Both tasting consistent with the coffees we had when they first opened which is always a reassuring sign

Not only is it the best coffee in town, the 3 cheese and ham toastie is possibly the best toastie I have ever had! Definitely worth a visit! Thank me later!
Hands down the best coffee in Blackburn. Friendly, clean and top service. Small menu but great quality ingredients. Perfectly reasonable prices too.
Finally there is a decent cafe in Donny east region! Not saying others are not good but this one definitely stands out and can be compared with those big names in the city.
The house blend coffee (I had long black), has a very nice sugarcane fragrance. It’s border line between espresso and long black! Rather nice!
Food was also interesting and generous. Very yummy and the ingredients are fresh, unconventional!
Best part is, every table around me is praising how good their dishes are! This is a gem in the suburb! Hallelujah!!
Another cool little cafe located in a residential area. Love the vibe and friendly staff. I came to try mama Vicki’s meatballs but it was sold out. Nooo,!!!!! both my second and third choices, “salami get this straight” and “gozleme”, were also sold out.
This cafe is a gorgeous little gem in Blackburn North, with almost the entire menu able to be veganised (happy days!!). The staff are super friendly & helpful, & happy to offer suggestions if you are really struggling to choose between the delicious options on offer. Listen to their advice - it is invariably excellent! The soy lattes are delicious too.
Great coffee and friendly service. Little Woodpecker is very popular with the locals. The meals have been very good and generous servings. Enjoyed the Spanish Harlem (Omelette) 28/6/21...beautiful 👍
Really nice local cafe, coffee used to be really good but recently the coffee standards have dropped, hopefully they can fix that up.

Quiet little cafe amongst suburbia. Hipster decor. Excellent coffee but food is a little overpriced.
Gipsy Kings (Baked eggs) - don't be surprised if you can't find your eggs. They mix it in so it cooks quicker. Loved the chillies in this - most of the seeds taken out so it's not too hot.
When in Rome (avo/mush/tomato on toast) but stingy on the toppings for two pieces of toast.
