As a local I am a regular at the cafe and larder. I feel so grateful to have this fantastic place nearby. The food is fresh, tasty and inventive. The wines are carefully chosen and the atmosphere is light and airy, with a beautiful view of their garden and dam. I'm also really impressed with the sustainable design of the building. It's a great place to have a long lunch.

Stunningly beautiful sprawling gardens with themed "rooms" bordered by high hedges featuring different plantings - parterres, grasses, annuals and perennials. Open only in autumn - check website. Owners truly put in a great effort for the autumn show. Onsite shop to buy seeds, plants or books. Spend a few hours here - combine with the other attractions in the area such as the "Gardens of the Goldfields" open day.

Bought an Aronia plant from them online and although it does look healthy it is very small (see attached) and shipping costed more than the actual plant ($16 shipping vs $13 plant). They do take care packaging the plant for maximum survivability so I guess I don't mind that much. Oh and shipping was relatively quick too. Would I buy again? Only if they had something exotic and hard to find, otherwise it's better just spending the time to locate one locally.
