I came here today for lunch, and first thing I noticed was how friendly staff were. Always smiling, very polite. I got the chilli basil fried rice with prawns for a very modest $11.90. I was so surprised to see that chicken fried rice was only $8.90 aswell. My food arrived very quickly, steaming hot and fresh. I can honestly say this was some of the best fried rice I've ever had: generous portion size, and lots of flavour unlike most fried rice I've had before. Great spicy kick to it, very fresh. A very nice and peaceful place to eat. I'll be back here!
A favourite of ours due to their delivery service. We were staying in self serviced apartments in Bondi Junction and GU offered delivery for only $3. First time I ordered the Barbecue Chicken ($12.90) which was a generous serving of marinated grilled chicken pieces with steamed vegetables with sweet chilli sauce. Very good value for money and a healthy take-away alternative. The second time around I ordered the Fresh Spring Rolls ($5) More commonly known as rice paper rolls, they were described as tofu and vegetables. I wasn't expecting much due to the low cost but was pleasantly surprised with two large rolls and a generous side of peanut sauce. Well priced and many healthy options available as well as the crowd favourites when eating Thai.
Quick tasty local Thai. Very surprised to read such negative reviews as I've been going to J&T for almost a year now and it's fab for a quick tasty bite, in the restaurant or for a takeaway. Prawn chilli and basil stir fry, satay chicken skewers and the green or yellow curry are my favourite dishes. They do a great value lunch menu.
Nothing fancy but simple decent food.
A very warm and welcoming ambiance. There is a flower wall just at the front wall. Looks really nice, the tables are well cleaned and everything is in order. Staff is friendly and cooperative. The place is neat, tidy and hygiene
I ordered beef Pad Thai, the live cooking was fast as my order was delivered in 5 minutes, the pad thai was amazing noodles were perfectly boiled, the protein was in a good quantity as well as quality. I like the taste but personally i felt like the Pad Thai was a bit over-saucy. However it was very good

During lockdown we’ve been ordering from Gu Thai every week and never been let down in quality. Finally had the chance to dine in and to top off the incredible food the chefs prepare we had service above and beyond by the lovely lady at the front. Definitely our regular spot to visit from now on - Thank you!!

Lovely authentic Thai food, as if you were on the streets of Bangkok. Peachy is such a lovely and friendly host. The pad see ew and shrimp&prawn spring rolls were the highlight. Gu eggplant and pork belly was spicy but very tasty (must try). Portion sizes are very generous and there is limited seating, so come early!
Food is tasty and generous portion, staff friendly. The black sticky rice with coconut is delicious!
Amazing food and portions - I had to take away! Really great prices. Decor is lovely. Staff are nice. Good location (close to station). Tables are a bit crowded together though.
Have been coming here a few years. The lunch specials are good deal and you get quite a bit of food.
Would be back this week.
This is the better of the two Thai restaurants, veggies here are much fresher and more varied, pay a bit more but for a better quality meal, it's worth it.
