Review Sefa Kitchen - Bondi

Nice restaurant. In a general sense, the dessert far better than the food in quality-quantity-price terms. The food is Spanish tapas sizes, so becareful to what you order

An amazing little gem in Bondi with a great atmosphere, good tapas and drinks. The best part of this restaurant is the service top-notch customer service. I, recommend this little gem but make sure to book a spot, especially on the weekends.

Amazing flavours of food, beautiful decor, and excellent service.

Have been here quite a few times now and love it every time! Great food, cosy atmosphere and all the staff are so lovely. Especially Ebru who was our waitress last time we went. She made such an effort to make sure we had the best experience!

Most of the food is really good (with the exception of the salmon). The portions are small. The prices are very expensive for what you get (even for Bondi). Most of the dishes are between $18-28 (the lamb is $44). It's recommend that each person gets 2.5-3 dishes. If you're hungry you could easily eat 3-5. Service is decent, delayed at times, but friendly. Nice atmosphere inside and it does fill up, so make a reservation. Although I really enjoyed most of the food, because of the prices and small portions I don't think I'll be back. This place should easily be $$$ rated (instead of $$).

Gorgeous warm, intimate restaurant and bar offering delicious Middle Eastern cuisine. As a party of four we ordered the $45.00 banquet. All dishes were just delicious and beautifully presented. Everyone’s favourite was the octopus which was so tender. I really loved the beetroot dish as well. The staff were all friendly and attentive. Can’t wait to return when in Bondi again next year for City2Surf.

Wow, love the food here! Great little Mediterranean tapas dishes great for sharing for big groups. The meatballs and lamb were the highlights for me. Cocktails are unique and desserts are yum! Reservations needed and come with an empty stomach!

Not your regular "mainstream" restaurant, rather it's small, intimate and very homely. Traditional flavours made to share. Their dishes aren't large or served as a main for one person, which is perfect for groups of 3-4 to taste a range from the menu. Will come back to try their other mains and cocktails.

Absolutely the best food in the eastern suburbs! Amazing wine. Amazing salads. Amazing meat. Relaxed vibe. Love it! One of my fave places to go!

Sefa kitchen is an absolute gem in Bondi. The decor is quirky and warm, the food is outstanding and the service is attentive, friendly. The waitresses take time to explain each dish and give recommendations about wine. You should definitely go for the set menu, the wagyu brisket is to die for and it is very good value for your food. Will sure be back.

This place is a candle lit, intimate and cosy kitchen space where the food is honest and full of love. No wonder the regulars keep returning. The perfect spot for couples, a catch up with friends, even a group shared Turkish feast - not too loud but busy to Would happily take any of my friends there cause the vibe is just great. The honey Haloumi is a total winner, spiced + fried cauliflower YUM and brisket cooked to perfection. The chocolate ganache dessert is something you cannot leave without having, its memorable and teamed with a special wine list including organics from Sicily its a good time. Thanks Sefa kitchen, ill be back.

Enjoyed the food a lot and service was great. We definitely will come back and highly recommend it

Always awesome! Cute & cosy. Shared meals are beautiful taste sensations, staff and general vibe is relaxed but not slack at all so helpful and kind. Left feeling very looked after. I have had many dinners there and a few breakfasts.. all great, thanks Guys!
Kelly Hargreaves
'Relaxed' is not how I would describe our dinner last night. My three friends and I were hurried through our meal, dishes turning up 3 minutes after we had ordered them, and then being told that we couldn't order another glass of wine as they would be needing the table in 20 minutes. The waitress was irritable and the serving sizes minute. Such a shame as the food is tasty and the room quite charming.

Fabulous food, fantastic staff, and if your looking for an amazing night out, this is the place

Gorgeous food and ambiance! Gutted that I didnt get a chance to try the brussels everyone raves on about- but we did embrace the change :) ! Pumpkin Fatteh and the Beetroot dish stood out for me :) Nice to meet you Utku and thanks for the dessert special: Yoghurt Pannacotta and dessert wine...mmmm! Desi

Absolutely blown away!! Food service ambience all fantastic!! What a find and local to us

First impressions of this restaurant were good. It has a very nice ambiance and the service was very friendly. Unfortunately as the night went on, the service was slow (although still friendly) and we felt as though the team there were a little overwhelmed and perhaps had priorities elsewhere... The food was interesting but not outstanding and the portions were VERY small. We were encouraged to order lots of plates given the "Meza" style of restaurant that it is but found that the pricing was very high when considering value. We had 5 Meza plates, a lemonade and 2 deserts and 2 Turkish coffees and we walked out with a bill of $144.00... Perhaps the experience would have been better if the tiny plates were clustered and delivered to the table in groups instead of one at a time and with significant delays between courses... Will we be back? Probably not - there are just too many better choices in the area offering a better dining experience and better value. We left a little underwhelmed and disappointed...

Loved this restaurant. Superb food, lovely setting, it's good!!!

Wow how lucky for us to discover Sefa Middle Eastern Restraunt in Bondi tonight. The food and flavors amazing!

I came here with my wife on a bustling Friday evening after the Bondi to Bronte coastal walk.

Quality: Superb on all accounts - we ordered:
1. Roasted cauliflower with garlic hommus and pine nuts
2. Egyptian chicken and garlic paste with coriander potatoes
3. Char grilled octopus with gremolata and potatoes

All dishes were great. The hommus with the cauliflower was sensational, the garlic was perfectly balanced with the tahini. Sweet glaze on the cauliflower brought it all together really well.

Chicken was also a stand out. It was succulent and moist which contrasted the crispy potatoes and gremolata.

Service: excellent. Our hostess was attentive and the food came out at a really good pace - just enough time between dishes to enjoy the bustle of Bondi road without getting restless.

Value: $76 for food seemed reasonable given both of us were quite full by the end of the meal. You could easily pay $100 for food alone closer to the beach and the quality wouldn't necessarily be as good.

This is a real gem - so glad we found it whilst out on Friday date night. Thanks!

Delicious contemporary Middle Eastern cuisine, Sefa is deserving of all the glowing reviews below. The $45/head set menu is exceptional value, with ample servings. Staff are friendly and on their A-game. Wine list and menu have both been thoughtfully assembled. I can understand why this place is so popular

Awesome food, atmosphere and staff!

One of my fav place in Bondi area.
It’s hard to say which one is my favourite dish because all are delicious. Man’oush bread serve warm, thumbs up. Love the halloumi with honey and chicken dish is so tender. Israel couscous serve warm, creamy mushroom taste is nice too.
I found out my love to sage tea here.
Service was quick, I always comes early for dinner.

This place was over priced and not worth it. The dishes were satisfactory and I compliment the chef for the taste BUT the size of the meal was for a 7 year old. 4.50 each for a SMALL glass of mineral water and not to mention 1 entree and 2 mains, cost us about 78.00 dollars. The size was so small we were still hungry. The dishes are too expensive for what little they give. They say its to share but its more like tasting plate. NOT RECOMMENDED for dinner. Better off going somewhere else and save your money its nothing special. If these guys really want to improve then either put your price down for the kids meal you guys serve OR ACTUALLY INCREASE THE SIZE OF THE MEALS FOR ADULTS and especially if you serve steak. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ENOUGH SO A GROWN MAN CAN actually say yes, that amount of money was worth it im definately FULL KEY WORD FULL!. RIP OFFS

Sefa kitchen is this creative / adventurous middle eastern eatery in Bondi. It is indeed creative and the dishes were good. I especially liked the roasted cauliflower on hummus. But... i don't think you get a good value for money. We paid $105 for 2 people with 3 dishes (not mains, the dishes are smaller as they are designed to share) + 2 desserts and 1 glass of wine 😳 definitely overpriced. But the quality was there...
Foodfromashandco
The food was amazing and we had a fabulous time. Can't wait to come back for corn fritters 😊 (they were sold out). The staff were very friendly and super helpful!

Yum!!! Had my 21st here- was so good!!!!!! The drinks were fantastic, the staff were super obliging and all of my friends said they had never had such delicious middle eastern fare!

Had brekkie here this morning. My partner and I chose to get the 'blind feast': a four course (three savoury, one sweet) start of your day with a hot and cold drink of your choice.

The friendly staff surprised us with delicious dishes picked by the chef. Well-balanced and great use of spices! My top pick was the corn fritter with haloumi, bacon, chutney and sour yoghurt.

We will be back!
Aron
Great tasting brunch here, friends of mine had a blind tasting which they all throughly enjoyed especially as they couldn't decide what to eat. Great if your not fussy! I had a corn fritas where were prettt good. I would avoid the coffee tho, worst I have had in a while. But definantly worth hitting up for food!
I Ate My Way Through
A few months ago, we partnered with Sefa Kitchen to run a pickling class and Mediterranean long lunch and since that day, my pickling repertoire has expanded to include some of the best pickles I’ve ever had — my signature pickle being cauliflower spiced with cloves, fennel seeds, coriander seeds, peppercorns, cardamom and my Mum’s homegrown turmeric.

FOOD TYPE
Middle Eastern

FOOD QUALITY
Four of us dined on a chilly Saturday night in mid-winter. Guided by our waitress, we chose a selection of six different dishes to share (she advised two dishes per person and given the sizes, she was right). Apparently this is the only way to do it here: everything needs to be shared. We choose the crudités, the beetroot, haloumi, Brussel sprouts and basturma (which is a kind of cured meat) off the cheaper end of the menu, at prices ranging from $10 to $19 a dish. Also, the wagyu brisket ($29) with peas and a “biber tarator” sauce, which tasted like tahini, plus two serves of olives at $6 each. The quality of the offerings was first class and rarely have any of us had food this tasty, fresh and wholesome. Unfortunately however, what could have been a satisfying and enjoyable culinary experience was spoiled by the ridiculously small size of the helpings. Each dish really just a few mouthfuls. We all felt so unsatisfied and hungry afterwards that we rushed off to the nearest Coles and bought an apple strudel and ice cream and ate that at home.

ATMOSPHERE
S.K. is a small restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. The night we dined, it was almost full and buzzing with energy and activity. They’ve managed to create an interesting oriental themed dining space, with exposed brickwork and period style low hanging lamps, in a dimly lit interior with lots of wood and red upholstered chairs. This all works well to create and homely and inviting atmosphere.

SERVICE
Service was efficient, helpful and polite. Our tall, elegant waitress in a smart black outfit took her time to explain all the dishes to us. There were a number of staff on duty, so everyone was attended to promptly, even though the place was full. Orders were quickly taken and drinks and food came out smartly with no long wait between plates.

COMFORT
Despite the stylishness of the interior design, I found it a tad cramped and claustrophobic, with tables packed tightly together and the hard wooden seats quite uncomfortable. Dishes were brought out in stages, meaning that at least we had no problem in fitting it all on the table - the small plate sizes also helped. Despite it being winter, the front door had to be kept permanently open to allow service to those hardy souls who were prepared the brave the winter temps and sit outside (yes, there were a few). This kept us chilled and in a draught all night, as we were rewarded for our advance booking with a lousy table near the door.

MENU
The menu is fairly straightforward and easy to follow on loose sheets attached to a clipboard, which seems all the rage these days. One side of the page for the food and one side for the drinks. It exactly mirrors the one you’ll see on their website with the exception of a Brussel sprouts dish, which seems to have replaced the cauliflower one except that the website hasn’t been updated for this seasonal change. It’s a small menu anyway and you’ll probably find that in order not to leave completely starved, you’ll have to choose at least half the dishes. I noted that there are some fixed price options too, at $45 p.p. for the “Orient” and $65 p.p. for the “Carpet Ride” and you can see their website for the details, although I don’t think either of these options would represent any better for money that individual ordering. Unless you’re a small eater, either way you’re going to leave feeling hungry.

TOILETS
Toilets are signposted from inside the restaurant. To get there, you need to walk out the back door, down a steep, lengthy flight of stairs and round the corner into what looks like an anteroom of an upmarket Ottoman-style brothel with a retro telephone and black and red colour tones. The whole configuration is unisex which I always find a bit disconcerting, but nevertheless the two cubicles with wooden stable-like doors and the hand-basins were clean and well provisioned. Being directly underneath the restaurant, the sounds from up top make it seem like the patrons are in the toilet with you.

ACOUSTICS
The lack of carpets or any other noise absorbers, make this a noisy venue, It was especially bad when we arrived and found ourselves cheek by jowl with the adjoining table of six loud females. Eventually though, as the evening wore on, the place emptied out a bit, and then we could at least converse more easily.

COST
The main reason we came here was to avail ourselves of the Ent Book’s 25% discount up to a generous max of $50, and without that, I think it would have been extremely expensive for what in reality are just entrée-size meals. A bottle of Riesling, which could probably be bought at any liquor store for $20, was priced at $61 (we had brought our own wine but were told it was strictly no byo on weekends). All up and before the discount, we would have paid $187 for six little dishes, two little plates of olives, said bottle of wine, a beer and a cold drink. In the result, we ended up paying $137 after they allowed us the max $50 discount, even though, according to my calculation, the discount should only have been $47 (either their arithmetic was a bit dodgy or they felt guilty about making us pay so much for so little). But even $137 was way too expensive for what we had.

BOOKING
This place seems popular with the locals, so booking is probably advisable for weekend dining.

PARKING/ACCESS
S.K. is located at the beach end of Bondi Road, between Castlefield and Denham Streets. Luckily for us we managed to find a spot on Bondi Rd, where restrictions end at 6.00pm. If that fails, try one of the side streets around there.

SUMMARY
Staff are hardworking, polite and helpful and for that they deserve credit. And one simply can’t fault the food quality. Yet I cannot recommend this place because the portion sizes are just too small. There’s nothing worse than paying premium prices for a restaurant meal then having to rush home to eat more because you’re so hungry! I found the venue to be a bit cramped, noisy and uncomfortable and the vibe pretentious. Even with a $50 discount from the Ent Book, you won’t get value for money here so we won’t be rushing back.

RECOMMENDATION
The wagyu brisket is melt-in-your-mouth tender.

MEMO
Be prepared to share and suggest you order as many dishes as you can afford. When we complained to our waitress about the small serving sizes, her response was that we should have ordered two meals each, as she had suggested at the outset.

I ate brunch at Sefa on the horribly rainy day last weekend. The interior and crockery were beautiful, and the music Playlist was so vibey! I loved the salmon breakfast dish, which was extraordinarily tasty and generously sized. The waitstaff were lovely too. Will definitely be back.
Stef.
Sefa is a nice little spot far away from the bondi caos, in a very "home" cozy kind of environment. I tried the basturma plate and it was enjoyable. Not a place that I would maybe drive two hours to go to, but if you are in the area it is nice to give it a go.

Ate at Sefa on the weekend. Food tasty but portions are a joke. 6 people sharing cannot get a mouthful of each dish. They should not offer share plates for six with portions for 2. Bread comes as one pita size piece for 6 people. It is overpriced and poor value for money. Came home to eat dinner after paying a ridiculous amount!

With so many choices in Bondi alone, it may be easy to miss this place. But once you have discovered it, you will be an addict like me. The owner is so friendly & personable on each of my visits here, ensuring all his customers are happy. The place feels like a big family celebration with amazing food designed to share. Middle Eastern driven flavours dominate but ingredients shine. There is also an interesting wine list to keep it fresh. I have never had a bad bite here & each time I leave, my only thought is of when to come back next

The food is always mind-blowing, full of flavours, and they do generous portions.

My favourite dishes are the Fried cauliflower w baharat spices & almond tarator, and the Tunisian fish fillet, burnt capsicum, tomato & zoug.

The staff even catered to our special request of separating the almond tarator and cauliflower due to one of our guys having a nut allergy.

The waitress told us that you'll need 2 dishes per person, but honestly we always end up with so much food. The serving size is so generous 1-1.5 dishes per person is enough. We were a group of 4 (2 boys) and ordered 5 dishes and that was more than enough - we couldn't finish the last dish!

When people ask me for good eats, I always always add Sefa in my top 10!

I highly recommend this restaurant for its cosy and colourful ambiance, welcoming staff and exotic dishes. The set-menu is a must because there are so many interesting flavorful dishes for such great value. Also good for vegetarians and romantic celebrations. The whole experience was very intimate and personable!

A laid back spot in Bondi that serves brekky with a Middle Eastern bent. We went for the set brunch with 7 dishes served to share. Though it was a largely meatless meal, there was plenty of textures and flavours to savour that we barely noticed the lack of animal. Having said that, the lamb mince with hummus was terrific. A good squeeze of lemon cut the richness and really enhanced the taste. Other standouts were the roast pumpkin with its charred, caramelized edges, the haloumi with a hint of honey and the fluffy omelette. And a special shout out for the goats milk lavender creme brulee. It didn't get much love at my table but I actually really liked it. It wasn't too "goat-ey" and paired well with the floral notes and pine nuts scattered on top. Service was very friendly although there seemed to be inconsistent timing between dishes. It was really nice to enjoy a leisurely brunch without a queue of people silently urging you to leave asap.

I'm a big fan of Middle-Eastern food & was not disappointed by Sefa Kitchen. Service was good, presentation very nice. The sucuk breakfast was excellent. I'll definitely be back.

The haloumi and espresso martinis are absolutely heavenly here. Came here with a few girls for a dinner and the service was impeccable with the most outstanding dishes. Presentation was spot on and so were the flavours. Can't wait to go back!

Amazing food and fantastic atmosphere - the customer service is attentive and the place is constantly frequented by locals. The great thing about Sefa is that the produce is always fresh and the meats are so tasty. i highly recommend getting the set menu as the portions are so generous and you will leave like a stuffed cucumber.

SEFA Kitchen is a charming little middle eastern restaurant located on Bondi Road. It's a hidden gem away from the busy beach strip and it's quite cosy and quaint. It was the perfect spot for a late afternoon lunch as the restaurant conveniently is open late for all day breakfast/lunch on the weekend.

This little gem on Bondi Road is unassuming from the outside, but inside you will find a cosy, dimly lit oasis perfect for couples and small groups.

Nothing to fault on a beautiful 27degree day in Sydney. Everyone else must have been at the beach as we had the restaurant to ourselves! Amazing value for 3 $142 including some pretty serious cocktails Merhaba Mezcal was delicious. Standouts artichoke salad and chicken zhoug the semolina biscuits icecream with Halva was a great finish with white sage tea. Enjoyed everything

Sefa Kitchen in Bondi is something a bit different for the part of the beachy suburb, situated on the strip of restaurants on Bondi Road, just before you wind down to the beach. The fitout reminds me more of something you’d expect to see in the inner west – rustic and cosy with exotic touches on the walls playing on their Middle Eastern heritage.

Sefa Kitchen is located on Bondi Road with ex-Rockpool chef Simon Zalloua running the kitchen. The restaurant is now open all day on weekends with a new Middle Eastern snack menu. The grazing menu is best enjoyed on the weekends with Happy Hour at Sefa. Zalloua draws on his upbringing and trips to the markets in Auburn and Greenacre for this new menu. Featuring Middle Eastern dips, olive platters and meze plates, the new snacks will taste great with the spritzers and wine on offer.

Warm, friendly and patient service was followed by a delicious meal. Sticking to fish + vegetarian, we still had plenty of choice and satisfying variety of flavours & textures. Good ambience as well, and a good choice of restaurant for a quiet birthday celebration combined with family reunion.

Loved our evening at SEFA - beautiful food, great service and lovely atmosphere in this pretty little gem. Shame it's not BYO every night as the bill was quite expensive. Gorgeous food but slightly over priced

WARMED FRIDGE LEFTOVERS. Very disappointing. It is as though I had tried to make a lunch with my fridge leftovers. It lacks taste, but I eat it anyway. Not vile, but not delicious. The food at this restaurant lacks flavor and coherence and becomes expensive with the amount of dishes and wine. I have no idea what the other reviewers are talking about. Every dish a disappointment.
Pleasant atmosphere and service.

The fitout reminds me more of something you’d expect to see in the inner west – rustic and cosy with exotic touches on the walls playing on their Middle Eastern heritage. I get into the spirit by ordering the Egyptian Tea to start while waiting to order our brunch. It was a lovely marriage of floral and sweet thanks to the rose, tempered by some fresh mint from their herb garden out the back. Sefa really knows how to make black tea more exciting! I absolutely loved it and had to fend off my friends from finishing off the rest of the teapot, though they had ordered themselves a fresh, healthy juice of the day (featured apple, beetroot and kale) and a soy cappuccino made with their aromatic and full-bodied Hero Blend. Egyptian Tea, $4.50 Juice of the Day, $7 Soy Cappuccino, $3.80 I enjoy the intensely flavoured dishes in Middle Eastern cuisine, so I had a hard time picking what to order off the menu at this gem of a restaurant. Luckily I had a couple of friends with me who were willing to share dishes so we could all try a bit of everything. I settled on Poached Eggs, which were perfectly poached and drizzled with a delicious garlic infused yoghurt and served with tangy mushrooms on the side for a twist on your usual brunch fare. I also ordered a side of Merguez Sausage to up the meat factor in my dish and was glad I did, as it added a tasty, spiced beef heft to the dish. Poached Eggs ($16), with side of Merguez Sausage ($4) My friend chose the Merguez Sausages with Fried Eggs and Sweet and Sour Mushrooms, which was pretty similar to my dish after I added the the extra side of sausage. The fried eggs weren’t cooked all the way through, so the yolk was still runny and lovely on top. There was also a plate of grilled halloumi with toast on the side – I’m not sure which dish it came with, but the

This place is amazing!! Such warm friendly staff and the share plates are to die for. Highly recommended if you want some relaxed local friendly yet sophisticated ambience, and incredible Middle Eastern food you haven't tasted before.

Oh my god the lamb shoulder !. I had diner last night in this cute restaurant on Bondi Road. Was welcomed by this lovely waitress, Basaq, who explained the menu and highly recommended some of the dishes with a big smile and attention . Our last dish, was the lamb shoulder served with a lovely prune sauce. I have never had a lamb served this way, I will surely be back again to taste more of the menu.

Good service, Good food. Went for dinner with a friend. They explained the menu perfectly. We ordered a couple of dishes which had a lot of taste an flavors. You have to try the pumpkin and the cauliflowers. Great food and the staff is really lovely! They will see me back for sure!

Sefa Kitchen is small. It’s exposed brick walls, harbouring small-slightly battered wooden tables. Book in advance and ask for a seat along one of the walls – it’s cushioned and cozy. As you eat, gentle flickers from candles inside vintage crystal vases reflect onto not-too-large shared dishes. Sefa Kitchen don’t serve your usual middle eastern menu of dips with bread, grilled meats or fattoush. But a mixture of well thought out Turkish flavour combinations.

The “third date… are we getting serious?” This place is a little gem...It’s intimate, cosy and pretty casual (by far the least hipstery place on this list)...Must order: Trust me and order all these dishes, no questions asked! Fried cauliflowers w almond tarator & mulberry molasse. Haloumi w honey & za’atar. Albacore tuna chramieh w israeli cous cous. Beef cheek w spicy bizella.

Being the only ones in a restaurant is never a good sign. And had it not been for the enticing reviews, I would have second guessed. The relaxed wood and bohemian decor only slightly lessened the intimidation of being the sole customers. The waitress must have felt it too. At least I will give her that as an excuse for constantly knocking over the precariously placed glassware. We ordered to share: corn cakes with haloumi and zaatar; baby lettuce crudités with goats curd, and; pumpkin fatteh with chickpeas and sour yoghurt. The corn cakes were warm and moist but the highlight was the flavours with lon

Terrible dining experience. I ate breakfast here on 7th February 2015. The food was quite nice. Pretty standard avocado and poached eggs in a tasty yogurt sauce. However, one piece of bread for two eggs was a little lacking. Also, the coffee was burnt which made it bitter and not pleasant to drink. Apart from that the food was quite good and we considered coming back for dinner another time. The service was also quite good until it came to paying the bill. Our cheque was given to us by the male barista, who had not served us through our meal. I paid in cash and patiently waited for my change. Ten minutes passed and I started to wonder where he had got to and assumed he must have been caught up in the kitchen as at this point the restaurant was pretty much empty. I was surprised to look up and see he was moving tables in the dining room. At this stage I felt really uncomfortable as it was obvious he had assumed that the $5.00 was a tip. I actually had to make eye contact with him to 'remind' him to bring me my change. Which he did and completely averted eye contact with me as he rudely dumped it on my table. I have just returned from living in the US for 10 years and never have I been treated in such a way, despite the fact there is an implicit tipping culture there (The consumer pays the servers wages through tipping, not the employer. I know people who are paid less than $5 an hour in the states and rely on tips for their wages). Thankfully, we do not have the same tipping system in Australia. But as a result we pay a much higher price for our meals and servers are paid fairly by their employers. As such, there should never be an expectation to tip and I do only on the occasion that the service is exceptional, which in this case it wasn't. I am really offended by the way this waiter treated me and made me feel for not tipping. I certainly won't be back again despite the good food.

Don't touch the beef cheak!. We ate there and this smelt off. Not waning to take the risk we sent it back. They charged us for it anyway.

We won't be back!

Great breakfast. Came here for breakfast and had the minced lamb, which was fabulous. The prices were reasonable too. The service was wonderful as well.

Nice service . Very . Food.... Nice service . Very .
Food - lamb shoulder was falling off the bone and tasty but overall I'd say ,pretty good. Not amazing. Try kepos street kitchen. More complex flavors . More variety .

Just fantastic. The service was superb and the food was all delicious and perfectly executed. We loved each and every dish especially the pumpkin, brussel sprouts, lamb, beef and zucchini. Reasonably priced and great wine list. Cannot wait to return!

Great food, shame about the waitrresses dress sense. We had a fantastic dinner at Sefa on Saturday, the food was all delicious and the cocktails are not to be missed. The haloumi is the best I've tasted and the lamb dish is to die for! There is a fantastic atmosphere and a really buzz about the place. Unfortunately is seemed one of the waitresses had forgotten half her outfit, we were greeted by her midriff (which was on show due to a skimpy top and short shorts), not what I would expect from a such a restaurant like this. While the other waitresses and waiters seemed smartly dressed, she looked scruffy and rather out of place with dirty trainers and too much flesh on show.

So yummy. Came here for dinner with a partner. Cosy atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff. We ate pretty much all the meat dishes which were all so different and delicious. Left feeling so full. Just disappointed we couldn't fit dessert in as they looked awesome. I'd go back anyday!

Highly recommend. This was my second visit to Sefa. The food is so interesting, tasty and beautifully presented. The staff are friendly, the atmosphere is great. On the forts visit we were 9 and had the set menu, but they were willing to change a few things to suit our tastes. This is a hidden gem on Bondi Road.

Saturday Brunch @ Sefa. Last Saturday we had a brunch at Sefa with two other friends. Sizes of the dishes are not as big as a traditional Aussie breaky but the idea is sharing plates. Our lovelly waitress explained all the dishes (because we didn't know most of the ingredients, and were trying to google them when she came and asked if we had any questions) she said we can order up to 6 dishes and we followed her advice. At the end we were completely satisfied with the food and the service we had.
Corn cakes are definitely worth trying, and off course the sprouts, they're divine (I can't believe that I say this, because I normally hate sprouts..) Besides we tried pumpkin, shaksouka, challah (my friend love it, you can also eat it as a dessert) and the zucchini.. All were very tasty.
And about the drinks, I have to admit that their Bloody Mary will be my favourite drink for this summer. What a pity that they don't serve it during the dinner service..

Culinary delight. "BRUSSEL SPROUTS" is all im saying.....if you do not try this dish while at SEFA i pity you..its so delicious and comes on a bed of Almond butter..we also shared a delightful whole trout. The service was faultless. the ladies were so attentive, warm and accommodating. i will most certainly be back to try breakfast and dinner & the sunday tunes. It might be worthwhile popping on your menu when something contains wheat/gluten to avoid double handling of food..otherwise. LOVE SEFA with a passion.

More Expensive Than Advertised. This restaurant should be recategorised to at least $$$.
Really enjoyed the brussels sprouts but everything else was a bit meh.
Service was great too.

Delicious food. Only wish was that the meat and vegetable dishes come out together. Ask for this as it would be good to eat them together. Brussels sprouts are amazing!!

Sunday Brunch Favourite. Loving the food here. The shakshouka is lovely with the right balance made even better with the sucuk sausage. Also love the spice fried mince lamb with hommus - perfect for Sunday brunch. Service is breezy, fun and efficient.

A breakfast to remember!. I had properly the BEST breakfast I have had in a long time at SEFA this weekend. From the moment we walked in it was a great experience. Staff were friendly and very helpful, nothing was to much and they created a very relaxing atmosphere in which to enjoy our breakfast. I had the Basturma and fried egg bagel which was divine! My friend had the corn cakes with grilled haloumi. She commented that they were the best corn fritters she has had in Sydney and she has eaten a lot of them, believe me! The person next to us was having the Turkish breakfast plate, which also looked very good and different from your traditional Aussie breakfast that you find in most places in Bondi. I will definitely we going back, and would highly recommend it! I saw they are doing a Mother's Day special brunch set menu, if mum is in town, this is definitely the place to take her if you want to treat her to something a little different to the run of the mill.

Yummy food. Great service. Amazing. Highly recommended. We turned up on a Friday night and they were fully booked. They even squeezed us in!! We had to be out by 8.15 but we didn't mind at all. Was worth it and we will be back!!

Incredible food, great atmosphere, great price!. My flatmate recommended we try Sefa Kitchen and it's definitely one of the top 5 restaurants I have been to in Sydney. The food is exquisite, modern middle eastern cuisine which is lacking in the market. The chef is ex Rockpool and the prices are very reasonable, dinner for 3 was around $100. You feast on a selection of share plates ranging from honey haloumi to pomegranate and mint beef! The atmosphere and decor are great and the staff time the meals perfectly. Enjoy

Dinner for Six. I ate at Sefa Kitchen last night and it was awesome!

I took my girlfriend and her family and we all loved it from start to finish. We ordered nearly everything off the menu, shared all the dishes and were impressed with the variety of taste.

The setting was great and the staff's service was spot on... very professional but made everyone feel relaxed and welcome!

Great food. We've been to Sefa Kitchen twice.. Once when it just opened and again about a month later with 4 friends. The food's great.. Tried everything, including the desserts and loved it all... And so did our friends. The staff (owners) are very friendly and helpful.. Great wine too. Hope they get to use the courtyard downstairs sometime. Looking forward to going back

Fantastic!. Went here in a group of 6, service was absolutely fantastic, it's rare that staff go so out of their way to explain in such delicous detail ingredients and the meals in extra detail from the description on the menu.
We had 9 dishes in total between us, all of which were brilliant!
Would definantly go back and would highly reccomend others to try.
