I love Funky Pies! So awesome to have an all vegan cafe like this, it's hard to find vegan pastries and especially ones as delicious as these. I hadn't had a really good pie since becoming vegan so I'm happy to have found Funky Pies. They also sell vegan food in the fridge and have smoothies/desserts as well. Highly recommend!

This place is an absolute Bondi gem! If you haven’t been you’re seriously missing out. Best pies you’ll ever eat. And I’m from England - pie country! Mash and gravy are absolutely scrumptious too. So happy to have this place on my doorstep. And everything is cruelty free so you can eat with a clear conscience! Must try the delicious desserts too! LOVE this place! ❤️

Funky pies is one of my favourite vegan food hang outs. Delicious and great options for pies as well as treats and drinks. They also have full fridges of vegan food you can take home. All round good food and good vibes.

You don't need to be a vegan to enjoy these delicious vegan pies. They can be served by themselves or with mash, peas and gravy or a salad. The lads that run the place are super friendly and had some sweet tunes playing. They also have a selection of sweet treats that looked amazing.

Amazingly good pies. Drove all the way from strathfield to try the pies from here. Very flakey pastry kind melts in the mouth. Fully Vegan pies with meaty textures. Loved the fresh ingredients they put into it and the mash potatoes with pea are excellent. Suitable for non vegans too as an intro to vegan diets. Care is taken to ensure quailty of the pies are done on the spot.

Absolutely delicious vegan pies. We had the recommended funky pie and faux lamb one and they worth both delicious. The mash, gravy and peas were also a great addition and the salad was tasty too. Wish there were more funky pies as if I ever had a pie craving I’d want to have one of these. Will be back for sure.

No doubt about it, best vegan pies on the market. Creative flavours and great taste. Even their gluten free pies taste good.

Oh these pies are just marvelous! Highly recommend a visit here. The pies are absolutely delicious (and 100% vegan!!). They even have a shop with some of my favorite vegan products that I have not seen since I was living in America. Everyone can dig this place-- vegans and meat eaters alike! Must try!! Great work, Funky Pies! Keep doing what you're doing! :)

Lovely friendly staff, amazing vegan pies and I got a caramel slice on the house as a welcome to the neighborhood.

Man, these pies are awesome. Been vegan forever and these are the best thing I've tasted. I seriously could live on Funky Pies and nothing else for the rest of my life.

Unbelievable pies! So many to choose from! All at a reasonable cost in expensive Bondi! Friendly staff, especially Craig, who was a pleasure to chat to!

I love going to Funky Pies. It's my favourite Vegan place to eat in Sydney. You get a vegan pie or Vegie roll or both like I did yesterday. because it's 100% Vegan I always invite my parents there to share a meal when I visit Sydney from Newcastle. It's affordable� You get carbs as in mashed potatos� There's also �Peas and Gravy Friendly customer device thanks� Vinny I'd love to see some cake options... Too many desserts on coconut oil. first time here and loved it! i had the chunky pie and it was easily the best vegan pie i've had, i'll be back!

I don't mind the pies love that they sell daiya and usually the staff are lovely, but just now I went in and the blonde girl was SO rude she took ages to serve me and when I asked if there was an eftpos limit she very rudely said 'yes' but didn't tell me what it was till I pressed to find out. And then she was like 'do you mean a minimum' after we repeated it 5 times. I can't express how rude she was I wouldn't usually post something like this but she was horrible.

I buy them frozen from my local IGA and think they’re such a treat.

Love love love Funky Pies! The pastry is buttery and flaky and tastes just like traditional pastry. The fillings are also delicious. I got the traditional “beef” and the taste and consistency was really impressive. The gravy was delicious and didn’t lack in flavour. I also got a raw treat that was really great. I love that it’s non fussy too. I can’t wait to go back!

Pies were nice and buttery and flaky. Some of the fillings weren’t very good. The sausage roll was terrible with zero flavour and zero filling. Service was pretty poor overall and the tables were so dirty and sticky! I would recommend doing a takeaway! Strawberry smoothie was great, mango pineapple and passion fruit smoothie was watery and gross. Wouldn’t go back.

The pies are really nice here, the pastry’s flaky and delicious. The flavor’s pretty good for vegan pies. I tried three pies here and my most favorite was the butter chicken. The meat bits are a little too chunky though. The gravy was alright, not the best. Also the chairs and tables weren’t clean. And when I asked for a tax invoice the cashier took out this old school notebook and started writing on it, I ended up filling my name and all just so I can have the receipt! it was a little inconvenient. But other than that the staff were really friendly.

Quick, Easy, amazing pie- had the chunky funky and tried the Chilli non carn pie. Really flavourful and service was quick. If you live outside of Bondi it’s worth the trip!<br/>Went with two Omnis who INSISTED on buying some frozen pies before leaving<br/>Will be back soon

Great vegan pies- you wouldn’t even be able to tell that they are vegan. I ordered the chicken one which was super creamy and the pastry was light and fluffy.

After checking out the Sculptures by the Sea exhibition, we were in the mood for some grub. Looking at our options, we came across Funky Pies which had great ratings and was just the kind of quick eat we were looking for. When we got there, we were delighted to hear that every one of their pastries were vegan!

The pies were amazing and tasted completely not vegan, and they were great with the peas, mash and gravy on the side, however as we went for dinner they were lacking options so I suggest going there for lunch. Don’t be shocked when you arrive to find that funky pies is a tiny (I repeat, tiny) place with minimal seating and an open kitchen...which didn’t really create for a good atmosphere. We had to sit basically on the side of the road in the stinking heat. Great food, but not so much a great looking place or atmosphere.

I LOVE vegan pies. i ordered the standard "Funky" pie which had a chunky mushroom filling and there was SO much flavour inside and the pastry was incredible!! I highly recommend checking out Funky Pies, for sure!<br/>I got it with the peas, mash and gravy which was a great addition, but it was a little cold.<br/>Great prices too as the whole meal came to $12 and if you get just the pie, it's around $7.<br/>They also offer milkshakes and have a fridge with vegan ice cream & other goodies available and the pie menu itself is quite large too! Just hope that the cabinet is stocked upon your arrival ;)

I think this place is amazing. I'm not vegan, and it doesn't matter if you aren't either, these pies are amazing. The peas, mash and gravy are a must add on. Good sized feed though.<br/>I've tried both the No Wurry Curry and Mexican Magic pies so far and can highly recommend them.

Yay for Funky Pies. I think it’s best if you go during the day for lunch, because at night you’ll be left with only a few options and the pies would have been sitting there for a while. Met with chill, friendly service, we had a look to see what was left for the day.<br/><br/>On the menu they have a decent variety, all vegan, and I was quite pleased they still had one rustic Bolognese pie left as it was the one I wanted to try. The other one we tried was the chilli non carne (mushroom nuggets, kidney beans & capsicum in a mild chilli tomato salsa). Pies are $6.50 and $12 including a side. They no longer had any mash, peas & gravy left so we went for a salad.<br/><br/>As mentioned on the menu, the crust is indeed flaky and delicious. Makes for a premium pie. But the filling is also important, and Funky Pies do not disappoint. Both were super tasty, if I had to pick only one I’d say the chilli non carne was slightly better, but only just. The capsicum and tomato salsa did it for me. As delicious as the crust was, the pies could do with a bit more filling, but this is so minor because the pies were really that good.<br/><br/>So good, so worth checking out, and I’m glad to have gotten around to it finally as these guys have been on my list for ages!

I don't think I would care much for a 'Funky Pie,' if I ordered a pie and it smelt or appeared 'Funky,' I most likely would not eat it. All lame humour aside, the pies are delicious, 100% vegan, and are not 'funky' in the slightest. The staff are mainly hippies, very chilled, very nice, and probably as baked as the pies they make. I love the place and am a regular, great joint! (No pun intended)

Love funky pies!! So so delicious and such a cute little shop. The staff are always really friendly, and its a great place to sit with a friend, enjoying a hungover pie with mash and peas, while people watching.

Get in my belly goodness!!. Searching for good vegan food can be hard, yet alone vegan and gluten free! Staff were knowledgeable about their products and we super friendly. My partner who has coealiac disease had the gluten free g'day satay pie, while I had the chick pea and lentil curry pie. We chose to have the tasty mash , peas and gravey as a side. We sat out the front watching the world go by as passers by looked at our food and said in passing " that food smells good". The Sad thing is you see people see the vegan sign or a mate goes and says " it's vegan," like its a bad thing. Truth is vegan food is super tasty and good for you. Be open minded, this place is great. The food is made with love. You don't need to be vegan to eat vegan!! <br/><br/>Anyhow They have vegan cakes, coffee, juice, vegan shakes. Oh and vegan ice creams. Woohoo.....and I'm not even vegan..yet.....

Bite into a better planet (and a decent pie by anyone’s standards) at this quirky little Bondi cafe. It’s hard to believe that these flaky, tasty beauties are completely dairy/animal free (vegan), but I assure you they’re made from just plant material.

Great selection of really tasty pies and pasties, can't believe their fully vegan! Choc truffles are amazing too! :-) this place is cool!

Excellent selection of pies, hard to beat when combo'd up with mash, peas and gravy. I thought I'd been a very good boy indeed when I found a vegan pie shop in my neighborhood! As a pie loving vegan Funky Pies is like having a birthday every day. Even your non vego mates will love it.
