No doubt about it, best vegan pies on the market. Creative flavours and great taste. Even their gluten free pies taste good.
Oh these pies are just marvelous! Highly recommend a visit here. The pies are absolutely delicious (and 100% vegan!!). They even have a shop with some of my favorite vegan products that I have not seen since I was living in America. Everyone can dig this place-- vegans and meat eaters alike! Must try!!

Love love love Funky Pies! The pastry is buttery and flaky and tastes just like traditional pastry. The fillings are also delicious. I got the traditional “beef” and the taste and consistency was really impressive. The gravy was delicious and didn’t lack in flavour. I also got a raw treat that was really great. I love that it’s non fussy too. I can’t wait to go back!
Quick, Easy, amazing pie- had the chunky funky and tried the Chilli non carn pie. Really flavourful and service was quick. If you live outside of Bondi it’s worth the trip!

Great vegan pies- you wouldn’t even be able to tell that they are vegan. I ordered the chicken one which was super creamy and the pastry was light and fluffy.
After checking out the Sculptures by the Sea exhibition, we were in the mood for some grub. Looking at our options, we came across Funky Pies which had great ratings and was just the kind of quick eat we were looking for. When we got there, we were delighted to hear that every one of their pastries were vegan!
I LOVE vegan pies. i ordered the standard "Funky" pie which had a chunky mushroom filling and there was SO much flavour inside and the pastry was incredible!! I highly recommend checking out Funky Pies, for sure!
I got it with the peas, mash and gravy which was a great addition, but it was a little cold.
Great prices too as the whole meal came to $12 and if you get just the pie, it's around $7.
They also offer milkshakes and have a fridge with vegan ice cream & other goodies available and the pie menu itself is quite large too! Just hope that the cabinet is stocked upon your arrival ;)
I think this place is amazing. I'm not vegan, and it doesn't matter if you aren't either, these pies are amazing. The peas, mash and gravy are a must add on. Good sized feed though.
I've tried both the No Wurry Curry and Mexican Magic pies so far and can highly recommend them.

Yay for Funky Pies. I think it’s best if you go during the day for lunch, because at night you’ll be left with only a few options and the pies would have been sitting there for a while. Met with chill, friendly service, we had a look to see what was left for the day.
On the menu they have a decent variety, all vegan, and I was quite pleased they still had one rustic Bolognese pie left as it was the one I wanted to try. The other one we tried was the chilli non carne (mushroom nuggets, kidney beans & capsicum in a mild chilli tomato salsa). Pies are $6.50 and $12 including a side. They no longer had any mash, peas & gravy left so we went for a salad.
As mentioned on the menu, the crust is indeed flaky and delicious. Makes for a premium pie. But the filling is also important, and Funky Pies do not disappoint. Both were super tasty, if I had to pick only one I’d say the chilli non carne was slightly better, but only just. The capsicum and tomato salsa did it for me. As delicious as the crust was, the pies could do with a bit more filling, but this is so minor because the pies were really that good.
So good, so worth checking out, and I’m glad to have gotten around to it finally as these guys have been on my list for ages!
I don't think I would care much for a 'Funky Pie,' if I ordered a pie and it smelt or appeared 'Funky,' I most likely would not eat it. All lame humour aside, the pies are delicious, 100% vegan, and are not 'funky' in the slightest. The staff are mainly hippies, very chilled, very nice, and probably as baked as the pies they make. I love the place and am a regular, great joint! (No pun intended)
Love funky pies!! So so delicious and such a cute little shop. The staff are always really friendly, and its a great place to sit with a friend, enjoying a hungover pie with mash and peas, while people watching.
Get in my belly goodness!!. Searching for good vegan food can be hard, yet alone vegan and gluten free! Staff were knowledgeable about their products and we super friendly. My partner who has coealiac disease had the gluten free g'day satay pie, while I had the chick pea and lentil curry pie. We chose to have the tasty mash , peas and gravey as a side. We sat out the front watching the world go by as passers by looked at our food and said in passing " that food smells good". The Sad thing is you see people see the vegan sign or a mate goes and says " it's vegan," like its a bad thing. Truth is vegan food is super tasty and good for you. Be open minded, this place is great. The food is made with love. You don't need to be vegan to eat vegan!!
Anyhow They have vegan cakes, coffee, juice, vegan shakes. Oh and vegan ice creams. Woohoo.....and I'm not even vegan..yet.....

I love Funky Pies! So awesome to have an all vegan cafe like this, it's hard to find vegan pastries and especially ones as delicious as these. I hadn't had a really good pie since becoming vegan so I'm happy to have found Funky Pies. They also sell vegan food in the fridge and have smoothies/desserts as well. Highly recommend!
This place is an absolute Bondi gem! If you haven’t been you’re seriously missing out. Best pies you’ll ever eat. And I’m from England - pie country! Mash and gravy are absolutely scrumptious too. So happy to have this place on my doorstep. And everything is cruelty free so you can eat with a clear conscience! Must try the delicious desserts too! LOVE this place! ❤️
Funky pies is one of my favourite vegan food hang outs. Delicious and great options for pies as well as treats and drinks. They also have full fridges of vegan food you can take home. All round good food and good vibes.

You don't need to be a vegan to enjoy these delicious vegan pies. They can be served by themselves or with mash, peas and gravy or a salad. The lads that run the place are super friendly and had some sweet tunes playing. They also have a selection of sweet treats that looked amazing.
Amazingly good pies. Drove all the way from strathfield to try the pies from here. Very flakey pastry kind melts in the mouth. Fully Vegan pies with meaty textures. Loved the fresh ingredients they put into it and the mash potatoes with pea are excellent. Suitable for non vegans too as an intro to vegan diets. Care is taken to ensure quailty of the pies are done on the spot.
Absolutely delicious vegan pies. We had the recommended funky pie and faux lamb one and they worth both delicious.
The mash, gravy and peas were also a great addition and the salad was tasty too.
Wish there were more funky pies as if I ever had a pie craving I’d want to have one of these.
Will be back for sure.
