Laurie's has some great tasting fast food style options on the menu, many of which are vegan, not just vegetarian. The service was great, helpful and fast. The food was clearly hand made by people who believe that a vegetarian life shouldn't come at the cost of flavour, and we could sit in to eat at one of the tables as well as take food to go. Definitely worth trying, especially if you're vegetarian-curious.

Laurie's Vegetarian is an inviting restaurant/take away shop selling vegan and vegetarian food on Bondi road. They sell comfort foods such as Burmese noodles, lasagne, roast veggies, desserts and lentil hotpot. There are limited seats within the restaurant so it can get crowded if you arrive during a busy time but otherwise most people order the food to go. In terms of food, I ordered the lasagne (which I thought was vegan, since nowadays almost anything can be made vegan) which had cheese on top, although it was to die for, the unclear vegan/vegetarian labeling of the dish names caused confusion. I also got the roast veggies which was insanely good, I don't know how they do it, I wish I could get the recipe and make it at home! All in all, I'll be back to try the vegan chocolate cake, burmese noodles, the korma, basically all the vegan things on offer. This place is definitely one of my favourites now.

It's cheap and you definitely get what you pay for. I always get takeaway (never dined in before) and love how you can add as much filling as you want in the boxes (for the large box I got 4 different selections). <br/><br/>I'm not a big fan of the basil salad dressing. It's not balanced and very acidic. The chickpea korma is one of my favourites - very creamy. The salad could maybe use a little ba- zing. The Asian noodles with eggplant, coconut milk? Was nice but missing some flavour depth.

This place has great value. For $10 (medium bowl) I was able to try everything I wanted in the cabinets. The food was tasty and had a great quality to it: it tasted very homemade, and didn't have any of those typical restaurant nasties in it. Despite this, the food wasn't as hot as desired: it was just warm at the least, because it was in a cabinet. But other than that, I loved the vibe of this place. It was very homey and cozy, with homebaked apple-banana crumble on the counter in its baking dish. Staff were very friendly too. I will be back

I can't go past the Chickpea Korma. It's the best. The desserts are great as well. Apple and banana crumble - awesome. I mainly eat the vegan dishes, but the Lasagna is so comforting and delicious - it's perfect if you don't mind eating dairy. I always tell people about Laurie's Vegetarian and tell them to go. And cheap. Lot's of food, almost too much, for a super-reasonable price. I really love this place.

Laurie’s Vegetarian has been the veggie sanctuary of zen Bondi-ites for years and doesn’t show signs of fading anytime soon. A nice, feel-good option before hitting the beach.

Delicious!. I had the tempeh burger and wow was it nice. Absolutely delicious! The BIG downer about this place was the service. The chick that served me could've at least cracked a fake smile or at least pretended to sound happy. Is it just me or do a lot of vegetarians seem cranky/rude?? Maybe eat some meat in a while... haha

Burgers. The tofu burger with the satay is delicious. A large serve on a wholemeal bun! Kept me full from 4:00pm nwards - I didn't eat dinner! So tasty and good value.
