Probably the most uncomfortable stools and tables Ive ever sat at. Reschs on tap made it all worth it. Worst phone reception aswell.

First I have to say I’m giving 3 stars thanks to the service, otherwise it will be a 2 . The staff is nice and friendly. However, the food it’s quite average, the prices do not match the quality of the food. I went on a Friday night, we ordered two sirloin steaks, and the meat was hard and tasteless. The sauce had an old taste. The fries were doubled fried and oily. We visit different pubs on a weekly basis and we had better meals for half of the price. I will recommend it for drinks, but definitely not for food.

First time at the Nelson and it didn't disappoint. The food was fantastic, serving sizes are large. The fire kept the whole place toasty.

Beautiful old renovated pub but the best thing was seeing my mate after a long time. I would've stayed there for ages if it wasn't for parking! 😕ps the O'Brien was Niiice 😃 go you Irish good thing 😊

Good quality pub food and the mains are quite large. The Nelson is good for groups of around 10 to 12 people at the big tables. Sometimes when it is crowded it can become very noisy making it difficult to hear any conversations, however weigh that up with the quality of the food and you can understand why we keep going back.

This is one of the few original old pubs left in Sydney, and its not been allowed to fade. It has an excellent bistro, very comfortable lounge and friendly service. Footy on the big screen in one corner, and families and friends are very welcome. This is my 'local'...

The Nelson has it all, a delicious menu with great prices, great staff and a very country atmosphere. I highly recommend a visit.

Awesome vibe. Always a good time to be had at the Nelson. Something for everyone throughout the pub and on their extensive tasty menu. Staff are extremely friendly and appear happy to be at work which adds to the experience

Really good pub. Old fashioned and a few separate areas. I really enjoyed the beer choices and pasta. Their Thursday night curry was sold out but I did arrive around 7.30pm. Certainly recommend though.

Best pub food I've had in a long time. Awesome food and great atmosphere in the bistro out the back. And a glass of red next to the open fire is great. The pub itself is full of character. Sit at the bar and have a cold one.

Worked up the road for years and only just discovered this place. Good beer choices, great food, friendly atmosphere....it's going to be a regular haunt for me now!

Absolutely great meal! Had the beef burger myself-which was beautiful, however my partner had the medium rare T-bone steak and it was perfection! Cooked and seasoned perfectly... could not fault it!

There's fish and chips and there's Nelson's delicious, wonderfully presented battered baramundi and chips. The staff here are so diligent, polite, and friendly. Great atmosphere. I'll be back again.

Great drinks service in bar area but food service is all about surly attitude & get back to your table. Nothing offered....even when you thank them for taking your order and $$.

Absolutely love the Nelo. It has a lovely charm to it. It's an old school style tiled pub with new and old drinks on offer, great food, newly renervated outdoor area and kitchen. It has a relaxed atmosphere and a great mix of people. A no brainer really!

Not bad. Wagyu spring roll just ok. Lamb pie special was nice. Lamb meatball gnocchi had nice soft gnocchi....be nicer with pulled lamb but was pretty good. Great service and good beer selection. Really like the actual pub itself and decor.

It might not look much inside but once we were inside the main dining room<br/>We were so surprised at how busy the place was and how kid friendly it was. Our son loved the kids room where they gave toys and a tv playing children's movies. <br/><br/>The main dining room was filled with families and the fireplace created a nice ambience. We all enjoyed our food and managed to demolish it all. I tried their grilled lamb cutlets, my brother had their beef burger and my husband and SIL had their chicken Parma which I tried and thought it was tasty. My son had their spag bolognese but instead of ordering from the kids menu, we got a main size which was massive but they were happy to give us a takeaway container so that we can pack some of it away.<br/><br/>Limited dessert menu but I'll definitely back!

Good pub food, value for money, vegetarian options, tasty fish options, meat for the meat lovers, pleasant service, wine list not big however stylish selection. A great pub meal in Bondi Junction.

This place is a man cave on the weekends but if you're after a good quality pub meal, the nelson is the place for you. They do great steaks and really good sausage rolls.

I have dined at the Nelson a heap of times. If you are after tasty and affordable pub food then this is the place to be. We have rarely been disappointed here. The burgers are great! This place goes under the radar, it's awesome!

This our go to place for after work drinks and a feed. I've tried a few things from the menu and each has been tasty, filling and all for a good price. Do yourself a favour and hit this place up, you won't be disappointed with the food.
