Review Burger Project - Bondi

We’ve gotten the Double Burger Menu, it includes the burger, fries and a drink. We both took the passion fruit soda, which was really good and fruity. The burgers were great and a really good combo with the fresh lettuce and fresh onions. The bun could be a little more toasted but all in all was the burger good. The fries were average, not too good but also not too bad.

Good burger place in the heart of Bondi Junction. Very convenient if you live nearby. The fries are great, the burger is tasty but average. Ice cream is also good!

It looks cool on the outside, has a cool name but for the price you pay, the food is underwhelming (both taste and presentation), it’s self-serve all the way (order at counter, pick up at counter, everything in take away packaging). Like a lot of people had already said in the reviews, you’re walking into a McDonald and Hungry Jack standard but paying 50%+ more? It’s not a bad-worse situation, just not a $22 meal in my opinion

Closest to an American burger in Australia. A well cooked burger patty. Size is small. Chips nice and crispy. Good iced too. Quality over quantity. Price is highish but ok if they are paying farmers fair wages as they say they do.

Pretty good burgers. Chicken Katsu was very nice and the chicken was very generous. It was a bit difficult to eat as the bread was very soft and the burger fell apart. The chips are nice too. They have great milkshakes. They have plenty of seats indoors and it is quite close to the train station and bus stop.

Any good burger experience inevitably ends with sheepish guilt about what you've put your body through, and certainly after my time at Burger Project I wondered how many years I had left before my arteries gave in. This is no sleight at Burger Project, but rather an affirmation that it sits comfortably with the likes of Bar Luca in Sydney's crowded burger scene. Flavourful and sinfully juicy, my cheese & bacon burger ($10.90) was delicious and devoured within seconds. The Cape Grim beef patty was of a good quality. However, more careful construction of the burger may be warranted, as the other ingredients failed to match the size of the bun: the tomato slices were too small and the lettuce too large, so each bite was irregular in terms of the ingredients you picked up. We also ordered two sides of chips ($5.50 for large), one with Sichuan pepper salt and the other with chipotle chilli salt, with both leaving more to be desired as they added little to the crunchy chips themselves. We might just go with the classic version next time. Finally, the chocolate thickshake ($7) was sumptuously rich, unbelievably thick (don't bother with straws) and oh-so-delicious. Either share this with a mate, or be prepared for a sugar coma. Burger Project is a welcome addition to the somewhat tired food scene of Bondi Junction. Sure to become a staple for locals, good luck convincing yourself burgers are a "sometimes food."

hello everyone I went here today and I had the out back burger and it was quite bland (No taste) but the chips on the other hand where great really nice and crispy with not too much salt but on the other hand the tables where a complete shamble some where dirty and some where clean I don't know maybe I came at the wrong time or maybe I shall never return the only thing that saved the score was the cute girl at the register and the man that came out and showed me and my friend what to order and the chips other than that they have quite alot of work to do...

Burgers are tasty, but a little pricey. Friendly service and nice open seating area. Amex and Android pay accepted.

Wow tastes like I bought an overpriced maccas burger , bacon had clearly been over cooked previously and not cooked fresh , raw onions $15 ya joking , someone forgot to order the salt and pepper for the store , and that special sauce omg, wtf is it , I got through half the burger and tossed it , With Neil perry and Rockpool behind it I expected far far better , and they should be ashamed to have their name on it

Poor burger. Chicken did not fill the bun, chilly was just raw chilli spread on burger. Coleslaw was weak, 13.50 for half a burger. Local business that won't be returning :)

Absolutely delicious! Not greasy and soggy. Just absolute quality and sensational taste. Had the Cheeseburger, can't wait to go try another burger sometime. Their chips were yum yum yum too. I ordered their home made Ice Tea as well and that was really awesome.

Nasty!!!! Service pretty rubbish for a start, order incorrect three times! However, I can forgive that if food good but that is not the case! Katsu chicken burger tasted awful & a tad pink, drunks awful (clearly cheap syrup used!), chic milk shake tasty line a cheap attempt & overall a poor experience! With the Rockpool name behind it I expected more......will not be back!

Worst burgers ever, actually I take that back, I'll give that honor to McDonald's. chips bland and over priced. Terrible service.

Staff ask what your order is by shouting while doing something else away from the counter so you need to repeat it 3 times, meanwhile another one bashes meat with a mallet loudly in the kitchen causing you need to repeat it another 3 times. Still too difficult for them to note it's a takeaway in spite of mentioning it several times and then my personal favourite was the staff member rubbing their nose just before packing the burger with the same hands. They did try to upsell me while ordering of course, but considering how difficult it was to order one product, I didn't think it was wise to burden them further. Suggest renaming it The Booger Project...
