Absolutely delicious! Not greasy and soggy. Just absolute quality and sensational taste. Had the Cheeseburger, can't wait to go try another burger sometime. Their chips were yum yum yum too. I ordered their home made Ice Tea as well and that was really awesome.
We’ve gotten the Double Burger Menu, it includes the burger, fries and a drink. We both took the passion fruit soda, which was really good and fruity. The burgers were great and a really good combo with the fresh lettuce and fresh onions. The bun could be a little more toasted but all in all was the burger good. The fries were average, not too good but also not too bad.
Good burger place in the heart of Bondi Junction. Very convenient if you live nearby. The fries are great, the burger is tasty but average. Ice cream is also good!
Closest to an American burger in Australia. A well cooked burger patty. Size is small. Chips nice and crispy. Good iced too. Quality over quantity. Price is highish but ok if they are paying farmers fair wages as they say they do.
Any good burger experience inevitably ends with sheepish guilt about what you've put your body through, and certainly after my time at Burger Project I wondered how many years I had left before my arteries gave in. This is no sleight at Burger Project, but rather an affirmation that it sits comfortably with the likes of Bar Luca in Sydney's crowded burger scene.
Flavourful and sinfully juicy, my cheese & bacon burger ($10.90) was delicious and devoured within seconds. The Cape Grim beef patty was of a good quality. However, more careful construction of the burger may be warranted, as the other ingredients failed to match the size of the bun: the tomato slices were too small and the lettuce too large, so each bite was irregular in terms of the ingredients you picked up.
We also ordered two sides of chips ($5.50 for large), one with Sichuan pepper salt and the other with chipotle chilli salt, with both leaving more to be desired as they added little to the crunchy chips themselves. We might just go with the classic version next time.
Finally, the chocolate thickshake ($7) was sumptuously rich, unbelievably thick (don't bother with straws) and oh-so-delicious. Either share this with a mate, or be prepared for a sugar coma.
Burger Project is a welcome addition to the somewhat tired food scene of Bondi Junction. Sure to become a staple for locals, good luck convincing yourself burgers are a "sometimes food."
