Review Bribie Island Rsl - Bongaree

Positives: Great food Mostly friendly staff Negatives: Staff too busy talking to acknowledge customers at the 1st earing area we went to. Ended up looking on their website where else in RSL we can eat. Staff tried taking half full plate of food from infront of us without asking if we were finished.

Food was tasty & atmosphere lovely & relaxing. Good pricing too.

Great dog friendly place with a nice selection of food and drinks! Always visit when we pop over to Bribie for the day.

Fix the bloody toilets toilet paper dispensers. Yes that’s just outrageously my biggest issue. Been before and before. Toilets are really in need of maintenance. Toilet paper dispensers. Take a walk around. You seriously don’t walk around your toilets and check them yourself? Seriously?

We couldn’t get a seat at the restaurant and the receptionist said there was another cafe out the back called the Social Cafe. I thought it would just be a club meal.. I was wrong. The food was excellent the service superb. I was never happier I couldn’t get a seat a a restaurant. One of the best meals I have ever eaten at a club!!!

Haven't been there for a few years.. Well what can I say but we had the most awful meals.. We booked and sat in the restaurant, the staff were very welcoming and just pointed to our table..'It's over there' and this was the start to our night. A staff member finally come over to let us know that we had to order our meals 'over there' and pointed to a counter. We ordered and paid first our meals.. The restaurant wasn't really busy but we had to wait a little while for our meals. My sister ordered a steak meal and asked for her steak to be 'well done' and I tried something new to me, a 'warm salad with chicken and cashews'. When the meals arrived my sister's steak was bleeding all over her vegies. We took it back to the kitchen and asked them to cook it a bit longer. I started eating my meal. After a few portions I found a big piece of clear plastic in my food. Well this turned me off. We called over a senior staff member and she was shocked. I stated that I wouldn't have the same dish and could I have something else. The staff member told us that we would get a refund on the bad meal. So we didn't have a very good experience. This might be a once off but we won't be dining there again. Sorry Bribie RSL, you have lost us.

Have always loved the service, food and great staff at Social and taken many visitors to the Island there for lunch, coffee etc. Today I ordered a beef sausage roll - it was presented looking wizened up, dry as a bone, brittle and tasteless! And it tasted as if it was at least a week old! Ate two mouthfuls and sent it back! Lift your game Social - the Island is small and the word gets around very quickly!

Fav place for catching up with friends. Beautiful decor - lounge area, and modern and relaxed. Restaurant 'Botanic' OR casual eating areas inside or outside at 'Social'. Great prices. Half-price member days; Events. Beautiful :) Staff very friendly, efficient and helpful. Grwat coffee, cakes and healthy, tasty meals - good prices :)
