An amazing oasis amongst a desert of cafés in downtown Bowen. Here I am, desperate for a coffee and some breakfast… and I came across this bakery. Could not believe how busy this place was. The peak hour queues at around 10am to get served lasted for almost an hour. And everybody was so calm and friendly. I don’t know what they do or how they do it, but I know their pies were nice, and the vanilla slice was fresh. And the servers were very pleasant . Locals like coming here for their breakfast and lunch sandwiches.

The best salad wrap I have ever had... big call Going into a pie shop as a vegetarian is some times difficult BUT staff here told me every veg option and all so offered to make me something if there was nothing I liked .... Staff 10 out of 10 Food 10 out of 10

My new favourite vanilla slice! And the coffee was good too. Lovely people who seemed friendly with all. Husband enjoyed his cream bun. It's been many weeks on the road since we've had real cream....yum.
