Was in the area (road trip from Cairns to Sydney) and came here for a late lunch / early dinner. Ordered fish and chips, some calamari and a bug tail. All delicious! Would have been great if the bug tail was less battered as lost the taste of the tail a bit. When we went we were the only ones there so service was fast. Great little place - has a nice outdoor seating area out the back with water views. Food was good and tasty - probably no standouts though.

Little hidden treasure in Bowen. Seafood is really fresh and they sell fresh seafood packs to take home and prepare to your liking. Got the fish of the day pack, crumbed bugs tail and crumbed oysters very delicious with nice hot chips 🍟 good view of the marina clean and well maintained. Definitely will be back on my next holiday 😊

FINALLY got the chance to stop in on our way through Bowen. I have waited for this moment and Bird's DID NOT disappoint. The staff were lovely, the food incredible and the view just a few meters down the road to top it all off. Will always come back.
