Can’t believe I forgot to review one of my hidden gems in Box Hill, if I could, I would give them ten stars where fives stars represent the top score. Trust me, no matter what dish you order, you won’t regret as they are all wonderfully prepared. The flavors are always magnificent and the ingredient
Have come here several times, good pricing, roast pork and duck is excellent, they offer Chinese soup and tea when you seat
Well... The roast pork not same as 2021 already..
I don’t think so now the taste and the meat is not doing well already … I didn’t see the old chef standing there anymore…
Tasty duck and noodles! Will be back to try more items on the menu. It lost one star as the company I was with did not enjoy their meals quiet as much. Mind you they did not order the duck which seems to be their specialty.
Ordered roast duck rice and soy sauce chicken rice. Duck and chicken were both very overcooked and the meat was dry. The service was mediocre and this lady (seems like the boss) kept picking on this new cashier staff because she was getting impatient with him. Didn't give me a good first impression
Although Its not quite the same as 大家樂 in Hong Kong which is a fast food/cafe style food, this one in Box Hill has its own charm.
We arrived quite late but the staff were happy to serve us and made us feel very welcome. Soup came straight away and it was great to see the traditional Cantonese soup
Initial impressions: Friendly af service, great tasting roast meats, flavours are fairly authentic and clean tasting.
Edit 3 months later: less than attentive service on subsequent visits, wait staff don't seem to care or notice who came in first. Flavours a touch off, probably will give it a miss
Had takeaway here. Very quick service even though place was pretty busy. The only issue is they have surcharge for credit card use. Even eftpos requires minimum of $40 to avoid surcharge. Apologies for the photos. Already started eating it before remembering to take photos :p
