Review Les Bubbles - Brisbane

Tony Ng (2lo)
Restaurant is cool and the vibe is good. Staffs were polite and service was adequate. Menu is very simple, few starters, one steak and few desserts to select from. Steak was cooked well and flavourful, chips were hot and crispy. I don’t think this is overpriced, very reasonable indeed.

There was a lot of hype about this place before I travelled to Brisbane. I don't think that the steak was worth $40 though - the fries and sauce were very good. Nice ambience with fun and friendly staff that will talk you through the history. Nice if you need a no frills easy dinner, but wouldn't make the journey a second time.
The Dirty Wizzard
Nice place cool and Boosie...the building has a great back story. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Menu was was small but done well. Drinks list was good, great wine list🍷the main option was nice not great done well.. Yes but I've had better steaks, the bottomless chips and sauce yesssss!!!!!

I can't find the words to describe how amazing the main dish was. I've had lots of pleasure ke experiences in life but I never knew food can make you feel so much job from just the pure taste. The three sauces were all amazing for dipping and gh and fries... I don't know how they've got the charcoal grill taste in them but ut they were to die for.. And you get to keep topping them up if you have the stomach for them. The steak I had was medium rare and I feel like it made me experience pleasure I didn't know possible from eating. I the staff are amazing super quick service and very friebdly and professuonal. I will certsinly make this place a must go to every time I come back to the city. Two days have passed and I still think about the amazing dish I had... Unreal
Sunny Day
Great atmosphere. Meat was over cooked. Staff was friendly but they looked so stressed. Creme brûlée was great.

Epic night out. The steak was divine, along with the frites which were super yum. We got a couple of different sauces and both were amazing. Definately hit up the bone marrow as a starter too. Not usually my thing but was A-MAZING! The staff were super attentive and friendly. Decor is cool and exudes french charm. Definitely worth popping by.
Nigel
Love the vibe of the restaurant, awesome cocktails and great service from the staff Had the marrow bone to start with and of course, steak with frites for the main, reasonable but nothing special

Very good service. The staff was very lovely (5 stars). The wine was good but 4 stars for the steak. 😊

Wow, this place lived up to the hype. From the awesome decor, to the wonderful service, not to mention the food was orgasmic. The steak was cooked to perfection, medium rare is what we asked for and medium rare is what we got, so many times I have gone to a steak houses and got either something that just come dripping off the side of a cow, to a lump of grey something that once resembled a cut of meat. My meal was beautifully pink and tender to each bite! Loved the sauces, and the unlimited fries were well worth it #cheatday! Can’t wait to return. Thank you again to the team at Les Bubbles!

Me and the missus first dined into your restaurant Feb 9th, 2017 as our first date. Since then we have eaten here over 15 times and we’ve enjoyed every single meal. The quality and quantity for the price to pay is very hard to beat - so we rate your steaks the best in Brisbane. Alongside an amazing meal and atmosphere, your service and attendance to customers is fantastic. 1 particular staff member that goes by the name Michael has made us feel welcome ever since the beginning. Hes kind, well spoken and funny. 5 stars to your restaurant, meals and staff! thank you

Well i googled "Best steak in Brisbane" and Les Bubbles delivered one of the tastiest!.. melt in your mouth!.. No need for the steak knives!... steaks i have had in a long time! Brisbane... you have a long way to catch up to this place. Love the ambience of the place and great service! I couldn't fit desert in this time... but you will definitely see me alot more!

Have been twice now to give the benefit of the doubt but disappointed that on both occasions. All parties ordered medium rare and only 2/4 steaks were cooked correct. Still can’t wrap my head around the concept of the salad served before the steak, and always incredibly tart from the red wine vinegar it makes it difficult to eat. Service is lovely and atmosphere is great but only serving one meal all day every day would expect some awesome cuts of meat and cooked to perfection

Went to have lunch with my family for my son’s 3rd birthday. I was a bit apprehensive about it because we had three toddlers and an infant with us and I wasn’t expecting it to be the most kid friendly venue (being ex brothel/casino/bathhouse lol). But they were so accommodating and the service was outstanding! Great food and cocktails too! Highly recommend Les Bubbles.

My daughter and I walked into Les Bubbles with no expectations and 2 really tired children after a day of travelling... We were welcomed warmly and seated though when we asked about the babies..we were told it was ok for the children to be with us though there is no children's menu. We were happy for them to share our food. The bread and salad delicious and then the piece de resistance arrived. Which was.. . The most perfectly cooked steaks.....melt in your mouth..even a toddler could enjoy! The sauces to die for...not to mention the wines ...the staff ..and food were amazing..we wish there was a place like this at home..we will definitely be back

Best service I’ve ever had, loved the simple approach to the menu and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a good dining experience.

Went there Saturday night as we were hungry for a good steak meal was not impressed at all, we were served a small salad with bread, by the time our steak, chips and sauces come out we had finished our salad. Drinks are over priced for a glass of red was 17 dollars for a glass and 80 dollars for a bottle. We definitely will not be going back again.
Kaitlin Grimmond-Ellis
Loved it definitely going back and would recommend everyone to their great meal and customer service 10 /10

Came on a busy friday night but booked in advance. The host was lovely and our waiter Tiffany was the best. Her personable demeanor and sense of urgency made our night very enjoyable. She should be commended. Defiantly will be back.

Food was good, atmosphere awesome, really excited to try as we had our work party there the week before. Service was good except let down by one waitress who seemed in charge. Very confronting and blunt, was pointed at and told what I ordered by someone who didn't take my order, also were being dripped on by the above aircon which wasn't very nice and it was dripping into our food and water. Payment was not convenient as a large group, could only be split four ways but we weren't told prior so we couldn't order separately to start with, walked to night owl down the road to get cash out. A wee bit disappointing.

Took my boyfriend here for his birthday and it was amazing. The steaks were to die for and the staff were fantastic. Upon hearing it was my boyfriend's birthday, they gave us a drink each on the house which was the icing on the cake. We will definitely be back.

Loved it. Especially the service. Wish I could give it 100/100. Great quality for price + bottomless fries. #blessed

Perfect steaks. Amazing frites. Good wine and beer list. Loved it.
Steve Brooker
Great food , exceptional service. Had a great night. Thanks to all the staff for making our dining experience a great one 👍
Sandra King
The service was great.. the meal was great.. but... however wtf..a bottle of cab sav cost $75 plus.. how do you justify a $36 meal with a $75 bottle of wine, which was a typical standard wine, I ordered a bottle thinking it would be reasonable about $35 - 40, was very shocked to see my credit card after 3 bottles.. !!! Just be aware..

Les Bubbles is an imposing building on Wickham Street in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane. It used to be a brothel, and has a downstairs bar with a jacuzzi tub for those who are brave enough to jump in. In 2016 we were regulars here and the menu consisted of very little – steak and frites – but wow they know how to do steak and frites.

For one! The staff and management are 10/10 they actually take interest in your running experience and even remember you form the last time!!
Two, the food was cooked top notch, simple classic flavours with a heavy French influence, the menu is small but they do it to perfection!
A great wine list!
Three, the restaurant is nicely spaced out, the decor is kwerky and elegant. The cutlery and glass where a cool twist to the classic French theme thoughout the building, and is just nice to sit here!

Date night don't come often enough once you have kids! We had a free night as Grace had a sleepover at her grandparent's place. So we decided to visit Les Bubbles to check out their steak and unlimited fries. Parking is always horrendous in the Valley, yes those street parking. We eventually found somewhere about few streets away and walked down to Les Bubbles. I was surprised that they are quite busy considering it a Wednesday night. Menu is straightforward because there is only ONE MAIN to choose from and with the entree, you can choose either the Camerbert OR the bone marrow.

Excellent steak.

If you've visited the likes of Entrecote in Melbourne or Harry's on the GC, you can probably give this place a miss for steak frites.

The service was great but that couldn't make up for poor quality steaks we received. The sauces were Ok.

Really disappointing overall.
Ghassani Swaryandini
To be perfectly honest, I was underwhelmed by the steak. It was slightly warm and the taste just didn’t quite suit me. One of the sauces tasted quite good and I love shoestring chips, so they were good. Otherwise, it was just not enough for me to want to come here again.
Vik
Easy on the salt chef. The temperature on the meat was on the mark however the sauce and chips had way too much salt. The sauce was probably on a rolling and became concentrated but fresh chips with way too much salt becomes a bit rough. Will go for another go because the desert was delicious

This place was a bit of a let down unfortunately. The service was underwhelming and the waitstaff inexperienced and more interested in their Saturday night plans than doing their jobs. The steak, sauces and fries were really tasty and well cooked but the salad was boring and lacklustre and the dessert was very ordinary, almost like it was made off premises, frozen, defrosted and put on the plate. The wine list was decent but incredibly overpriced. The only thing saving this place is the steak and fries (which I guess is lucky seeing that is all they do)

Came here for my birthday recently. The steak and bottomless chips were the hero. Generous sauces too. The salad however was very sad and below par. The lettuce leaves were wilted and brown, it was clearly a few days. I wanted to speak up but it was an open kitchen and the chef was just right there opposite my table. I didn't want to risk eating a poorly cooked steak. It would have been a perfect meal if they paid more attention to the salad.
Benji
They only have one main dish here, steak and chips, but boy oh boy they do it well! Table service is amazing, our water glasses were topped up quite often and because we didnt know what sauces to choose from they gave us all 3 sauces to try! Oh i forgot to mention the unlimited fries! Highly recommended!
Jade_chang18
Loved the atmosphere and we had very friendly casual staff but the steak did not live up to our expectations. Every table around us looked like they got rump caps while we got a flat piece of meat.... our steaks were a bit chewy which was the let down as we expected the steak to be tender!
Scott.a.spencer85
Excellent customer service and food is just WOW.
Would and have highly recommended this place to anyone.
I would like to look around this place more, as it hosts a lot of history and interesting atmosphere.
Renata Fonseca
Fantastic ambience and delicious food! The unlimited fries are amazing! Steak was beautiful. Recommend for birthdays, treated all of us really well.
Chloe_Eats
Whilst it is devastating that they are no longer a brothel, Les Bubbles’ steak is exceptional, which does make up for it 😂 Steak with unlimited sides @lesbubbles ! You won’t leave disappointed 🙌

Worst customer service, on their website stated there is complimentary parking at Chinatown Secure Parking. Even after validation, i still ended up paying hence went back to restaurant and the staff somehow promised will give refund of it. One of the staffs said that manager will give me a call the next day, but nothing from him. I sent another email to them and yet no response at all. I won’t go back to this restaurant ever again.
Garrethkoh
It wasnt a plessant day for me. The website was false advertising about the parking validation at China Town Secured Parking. After two times of the validation, I still got charged $15 for the parking (I actually went back to the restaurant again for second validation, because when I tried to get out from the parking the screen was showing outstanding amount of $15 so I had to go back for second validation). Important to note that the staff was pretty confidence about their validation and she was telling me that if I still get charged for the parking fees, they are happy to provide me a refund for that. After paying the parking fees, I headed back to the restaurant and seeked for help with regards to the issue, however I was rejected by the staff and said their manager was quite busy and didnt have time to speak with me. She asked me to leave my number and the manager would ring me back regarding to the matter. It has been 3 days and I have not even received a call or email from them. I will definitely not going back to this restaurant again, false advertising and bad services.

We fortunately went during a quieter time and was served promptly. Everything was amazing from the salad, steak, fries, dessert... Waiter was also really amusing with his service. In a good way of course. Thanks for the good food!

Value for money steak on the edge of the CBD, simple menu done darn well with a great atmosphere and service to boot! ................. Worth the walk out of the CBD to get there.......
FoodieLustAu
What can I say! Superb! The cafè de Paris sauce, those frites and the steak..bang on!
Happy full bellies indeed!
The salad and bread also a nice touch and you definitely leave satisfied!

Make sure you book!

My experience at Les Bubbles was really enjoyable. The steak was cooked to perfection (medium rare), the fries were hot and crunchy, and the green peppercorn and cognac sauce was the perfect accompaniment. You also receive salad and bread for starters, and endless refills of fries so it’s good value for money. I recommend the Château Mont-Redon Côtes du Rhône from their very comprehensive wine list. The staff were attentive and the food arrived quickly, despite it being a busy Friday night. Great decor, although it does get quite noisy. Overall, très bien!
Mai Hoang
Superb service. Excellent atmosphere. Fantastic meal and for the price you pay it’s really good portions. Had a perfectly cooked medium rare tender steak, unlimited fries, didn’t have to choose just 1 sauce cause they let you have all three and a starter salad plate that was generous and seasoned well. Definitely gonna be able to invite and impress friends and family here.

Delicious beef steak in town..
Served with fresh salad and friendly service..
Athmosphere very nice and near Fortitude Valley Station.
I'll come to this restoran again..
Ashley Anderson
Kind staff, party environment with a good bar. You get a salad as entree and Yummy steak and all you can eat chips as a main, ask for all of the sauces as they are great. They also have a desert menu but i was so full i couldn't continue eating. Amazing atmosphere.

If your looking for a simple good piece of steak and just that with french fries as your side then this is your place, literally. They only do one dish ...but they do it so well.
We have been here several times and we so find that some of our steaks have varied in consitency due to different thicknesses they are cut ranging medium to medium rare (we luv it medium rare). The cut itself is very tender and has nice charr grilled outside.
The french fries, which are bottomless😎, are always cooked perfectly and stay crispy throughout the meal, though the fries do come out a little warm where we luv them nice and hot. The portion you you get at the beginning is quite large and we have only gone a second round once out of 3 visits.
You do get a salad and bread at the beginning of your meal where the salad uses fresh crispy ingredients amd bread nice amd warm. So for a simple , nice cut of streak cooked well, perfectly cooked fries, great service in a very cool aptmosphere. This place would tick the boxes. They also have a bath house down stairs were the do some amazing cocktails.

Had a nice night out at Les Bubbles for Fathers Day! 6 of us sat in a booth and it was definitely a little hard for everyone to hear each other, but that's to be expected on a busy night. Quirky decor upstairs and love the tiled bath house bar area downstairs. Tasty salad to start followed by yummy steak - cooked well 👌🏻 Our only gripe was the tarragon was a little heavy on in the béarnaise. Definitely preferred the green peppercorn & cognac sauce. Creme brûlée was perfect but there was far too much nutella in our crepes (never thought I'd say those words!). All in all a fun night and for $65 a head including drinks and shared desserts, we would return.

Unsure what the hype is about. Went with a group (2 hour booking only). Entree is "salad" - lettuce and walnuts smothered in dressing. Main is steak with fries. Advise of allergies as they baste their steak with dairy(!?)! All their "signature" sauces are cream based but never fear, there is runny tomato sauce to ask for as well. All people were under-enthused with their so-called awesome sauces and couldn't tell the difference between some of them. Steak was a fatty cut of rump. I expected better noting they only cook the one meal...
MadPaddy
I've been here once before and found the food and atmosphere great. My second visit not so. What's meant to be the hero of the dish, the steak was tuff and had too much gristle. The sauces awful. The fries were great. I think the hype of this place is way overrated. Go to a good pub and you'll have a better meal.
Samuel Hawkins
Quite possibly the best steak house in Brisbane for me personally. The best value I've found (literally impossible to go home hungry as its bottomless chips), such an experience and also casual/flash enough to be able to go for any occasion. There's this crazy Scottish guy that works there and he made the night for me.

Gotta love it!
Jon-Paul D'Angelo
Great spot. Amazing tasting steak, doesn't even need any sauce. Great value. Will definitely be back. First time visit. Would recommend to any steak lover.

This place is cool - but a little overhyped and a little too heavy on the concept, not heavy enough on the execution. The first staff member (sommelier?) was standoffish and kind of rude, then later on they tried to charge us for 3 bottles of veuve clicquot that we did not order. This was quickly sorted out, and the waitresses that we had were really attentive and lovely. Food came out fast, fish was slightly overcooked and a little bland (needed more fat, more salt, more acid) but the steak and the fries were really good. This place is good fun before a night out, and good for a group of four to eight people.
Jenny
Steak was cooked perfectly, but my steak had a lot of fat which was disappointing. Im not a huge fan of the McDonalds style fries but salad was nice and the sauces served with the steak were also good. Average meal overall as with only one dish on the menu i expected it to be amazing
Linh Do
Les Bubble doing what they good at which is Steak Steak and Steak. It was our first time in Brisbane, mom wanna have some steak for lunch so we went here with high expectation cause my friend said it's a must eat place. And yes we love the place. Steak was great, medium rare, amazing sauces, we end up with 3 sauces, bottomless chips which we of course didn't finish. Love the walnut salad. Too full so didn't try the desserts here but there always a next time. Very friendly staff, great service, nice decor and atmosphere. Will go back soon!
Around The City
I love the simplicity of this restaurant. They are good at what they do. The steak was really tender and juicy and the side of chips (fries) are to die for. So crispy I could sit here all day munching away. I love the interior as well and the service was really good.
Lauren Buchanan
Very simple menu done extremely well with the steak cooked perfectly. Huge portion sizes and a good selection of beverages. Would highly recommend!
EC
I couldn't fault anything. I booked a table online and the process was simple. Absolutely loved the fries, and the fact they are bottomless is a real plus! They were crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside which is how they should be. They give you a very generous serving though, so it would have been very greedy of me if I asked for more! I was absolutely stuffed and still had so many fries left on the plate (and I do have a big appetite!). The steak was well cooked, and all three sauces were delicious in their own way. Even the salad was nice too. It is definitely worth the price in my opinion.

Although Les Bubbles has been established since 2015, it still remains a prominent restaurant in Fortitude Valley.

I'll be honest, the venue definitely appealed to me more than the food with its classic neon signs, tiled floor and red booths. If you're not already aware, the venue used to be a brothel. Now, the restaurant is a Parisian theme. Downstairs in the 'bath house', you'll find yourself more of a relaxed atmosphere where you can have a drink. Upstairs is where the action is at where the chefs are on display and the lighting and music are just right so you can settle in for the food.

The small salad was delicious; lettuce, radish and walnuts doused in French dressing (of course). It's amazing how few ingredients can satisfy the tastebuds.

Les Bubbles serves one meal: grass fed, scotch fillet steak served medium rare but you can alter this if desired. This is accompanied by fries and the main standout, the sauce. We had all three sauces to try but the standout was definitely the green peppercorn and cognac. All of the sauces are very rich however. Added bonus, you can refill the sauces AND fries, but you definitely don't need to as the meal is quite filling.

The only thing that didn't go down so well personally was the amount of salt on the fries. Each to their own, but it was far too salty for me.

The service was prompt, the food didn't take too long and the atmosphere was fitting. Give it a try!
Natasha Argue
Great food, great location, great staff. Food was delicious, dessert was the best part. Bombe Alaska is a dream! Great portion size and can get a top up on fries and sauce as many times as you like. Chilled but fun vibe in the restaurant with cool decor.
Annabel Brooks
Visited Les Bubbles the other night. Steak and unlimited fries?? You had me at hello!! Not sure about all these people complaining about the neon signs and the fact that it used to be a brothel, clearly all part of the intrigue and charm. Go back to Sizzler
5/5 from me, love this place!!
Archana Rayamajhi
Delicious steak and fries. I like the idea of unlimited fries although that would be of no use to me. Small stomach :)
Having said that...i did finish the steak, fries and salad on my plate. I was hungry and the food was delicious. The steak was cooked perfectly to my liking.
The sauce with green peppercorn and cognac was the best for my steak and the fries. Ketchup...move outta the way

Food was absolutely amazing, the service was superb and they're open till pretty late. The only down side was that the table was tiny, we had a party of 4 and there was no room for our drinks, we were then moved to a booth which had so much more room. All in all not a bad spot at all, we'll definitely be back.
PaulaMc
I've been to LB a number of times. Returned last night - don't believe any reviews that say it's gone downhill. Far from it. Service was great, steaks juicy, frites outstanding, vibe fun. Cocktails not bad either. Still a winner!
TWARH
Le bubbles has to be the most hyped up steak joint I've ever come across with good reason and it's not because of the steak. Besides having only one item on the menu of steak, salad and your choice of 3 sauces, they offer bottomless fries as well. That's right folks, unlimited fries! All for a low price of $29.90. The steak is pretty decent and sauces could be better if there was mushroom sauce as a choice but bottomless fries makes up for it. Although, they actually serve a huge amount of fries to begin with. I end up getting full but the thought of unlimited thin cut fries just like Macdonalds but consistently golden and crunchy makes me so happy. They're also open until late if you want a late night fix. Did I mention they also serve dessert? I've yet to try but I'm a savoury kinda gal. Besides the food, it's a pretty looking place despite having a neon signs informing they're no longer a brothel and having a bath house down stairs. But all I can really say is if you're after a cheap decent piece of steak and you're a huge fan of fries then Les bubbles is the place to be.
@enticemebrisbane (Clarissa)
Another great addition to the Brisbane food scene by Damien Griffith. Les Bubbles serve their signature steak and frites as the main menu item. For $29, there's a salad starter with baguette and butter then main course steak and bottomless fries (hard to get through the first serving). The salad is dressed with a delicious vinegarette and the steak is cooked to perfection. Love love love Les Bubbles
Tibbyeats
Went to Les Bubbles for a Sunday night steak and was greeted by lovely and helpful staff. Ordered their only menu item - steak frites - steak was ok, not quite medium rare, more medium, and wasn't the best steak I have had in bris, maybe due to the cut of meat. Sauces were good, abit creamy for my liking so would have liked to be offered another sauce to compliment the current ones on offer. The chips were really good and I was filled up because of their tastiness. Also had the crepes - way too much Nutella/chocolate unfortunately. All in all an ok trip but probably wouldn't return, even if the chips were good.
Rachel Hutton
I've been here twice now, and both times had faultless service with great staff, speedy wait times and steak cooked exactly how I asked for it. The frites are crisp, fluffy in the middle and go great dunked in the sauce, and the steak, while not a premium cut is tasty, grass-fed and to me packed with flavour from the chargrill. I've always been way too full to have dessert though, so on my next trip I think I'll have one of those and a cocktail or two! ;) You guys rock, please never close :D

Fabulous Valentine's Night Set menu. Ordered the steak rare, cooked to perfection. All the staff made us feel very well looked after. Desert plate wonderful💕
Jenny Ruffell Smith
A few of us went to dinner here the other night and would definitely recommend if you're looking for steak at a decent price. We started off with a basic salad and bread (I think they might have forgotten the butter) and then moved onto steak and shared all the sauces, which were all very good. The steak was cooked beautifully and a decent cut as well. We barely managed to finish it all as there were a lot of French fries but they were cooked to perfection! We did notice that they seemed to be hurrying us up the whole time we were eating and whilst service was very good and quick, we were quite happy to sit and chat and take our time. I would not recommend getting any of the wine as it's extortionately priced and you'd be better off having a beer or drinking elsewhere prior/after; the shiraz is $75 on the menu and $21 in the bottle shop. Overall a good experience and will be going back for the steak.

Great restaurant. Love the environment. We went to the restaurant at 10:43pm and their kitchen closes at 11pm and we still managed to get excellent service from the staff members. Love everything about this place. The prices were great for the steak and the set came with bottomless chips, bread and salad. Higly recommended restaurant!!!
Mary Go
Had high expectations of this place, due to anticipation of finally coming here and from friends recommendations. Gladly those expectations were met!

I came for the steak and stayed for the bottomless fries.

We had noted to the staff over the phone booking that it was my partner's and I anniversary and they accommodated that note by giving us a private corner seat by the front bay window. That was a plus!

Entree and main came out with good timing which was good because we had prepped for hunger knowing about the bottomless fries.

The sauces were awesome! We tried all three and in my personal preference, in order of favourite was 1) cognac, 2) cafe de Paris then the bernaise.

The steak was tender, not too fatty and tasty! But the fries, my god the fries, were the best! They were so fresh, had lots of little crunchy ones (I love those shrivelled crunchy ones) and they smelt amazing.

Definitely would recommend for anyone with friends or on a date.

Good job fellas 🙌🏼

There are many great steak restaurants in Brisbane and they charge a lot more than $30, so I was a little skeptical. I shouldn't have been, what a cracker! I can't wait to go again. Good cut of meat, cooked perfectly, delicious sauces to compliment, I wish I could've eaten more fries! Salad as entreé is random especially when you're not sure whether it's to be eaten before or with main (it's to be eaten as entreé FYI). It's a nice fresh salad though, and seeing it's served before main it's more likely to be eaten! Genius idea management! Nice drinks, friendly staff, maybe felt we were a little rushed is all. Get there everyone, make sure you book ahead though.
Indeahgrace
Really nice food for a great price. The menu is limited but really good quality which makes up for it. The servings a large and the sauces are amazing. Will definitely be going back!
Peruvian Palate
Great steak for under $30. Endless fries anyone? This place has just that! I've never seen any place in Brisbane do anything "endless" so very cool concept. You get a crisp, tangy salad at the start. This is great as it helps wake up your palate and prepares it for the steak. Steak was so tender, juicy and with the perfect char. The sauce I got was the cafe de Paris. Creamy, smooth and tangy with herbs folded through. I had to get another serving of sauce as it was so good. Great place for steak, period. Menu only serves steak and a vegetarian option, so if you want variety, this is not the place for you.
Romeo Mangiare
We arrived brisbane around 9pm and felt hungry, trued to google restaurant that open longer and found Les bubles. This place didn't offer much menu and we ended up order steak. Didn't take very long till the steak came into our table. We were surprised with $30 we've got grass feed beef while where we came from it cost at least $40 to get grass feed. The steak was nice, the sauce is good as well and we got a plateful of salad. Thats just fantastic. Service were good and the ambience was great..i love the place and definitely will come back when we visit brisbane again.
Hungrygirl
Went here with a friend recently and really enjoyed it. For $30 you get salad, fresh bread, steak and unlimited fries. The bread was quite fresh and soft but the salad was a little too bitter for my liking. The steak was good, but it was a little overdone for what I would call medium rare, personally I would request it rare next time. I found the meat a little inconsistent, some pieces being very tender and some being a little tough and gristly. The fries are really delicious though, it was really hard to exercise self control with these I have to say. The café de Paris sauce was really nice, a little tangy with lots of fresh herbs and the green peppercorn and cognac sauce was quite smoky, almost had a slight bacon taste with a really subtle hint of pepper. The service here was really good but make sure to book a booth or you will be sat at a wobbly table next to the bar like we were. I don't think the steak here is phenomenal, you can definitely find better in Brisbane but for $30 you will get a pretty good meal.
Nic Habgood
I really like the idea of this place - one menu option makes it easy for group dinners and leaves the decisions up to the restaurant. The steak cut wasn't amazing but it was cooked medium rare, as promised. Also a lovely decor inside. The waitress was friendly and attentive, although I found the hostess to be pretty rude. In terms of value - it's pretty damn good but the hostess left me not really wanting to return.

A really good option for a group of people. Both the food and the service were excellent. As long as you like steak and chips you will be very happy.

Amazing night out! Such a nice setting and great service. The steak was delicious, fries a plenty (slightly too salty) and the bombe Alaska was a perfect way to finish off the meal. Highly recommend for a good date night or night out with a few friends.

Brilliant! Enjoyed a drink in the downstairs spa room pre-dinner. Then we were seated for our meal. Lovely salad starter with fresh bread, followed by the famous steak frite. Could not fault it! We waddled away totally full. St $30/head for the meal, it's ridiculously good value...
Jess
Loved the concept - they definitely do their one dish well. Tasty salad to start - simple but yummy. Steak was cooked well and was a good portion size with plenty of fries. We shared three sauces between two but the stand out was the green peppercorn & cognac. Our waiter was lovely and looked after us well!!
We will definitely come back!

We had a great evening. The food was almost perfect, the service was good and the fit out was excellent. The bathhouse bar down stairs was a surprise.
Cino's Mum
I like steak and chips. Husbandio and my mates do too. (Cino does three but he'd probably block the hot tub filter so he was left to prowl the house.) So Les Bubbles was a greatly anticipated occasion.
Although a cut of steak far removed from what I'd normally choose, I appreciated that it was cooked skilfully. If you want a cool place to meet your mates this'll cut it for sure. As it did for us. Not blown away but entirely adequate: done it now, moving on.

I came here about a week ago with a group of friends to celebrate my birthday. I love the fitout and the branding. Damien Griffiths has definitely gotten this side of his venues down pat! The service was a little odd, I'm just assuming it was our waitress who offered particularly awkward banter. The food is alright, nothing special considering it is only steak and fries. For steak I would probably rather somewhere like the Norman Hotel. However I was starving and it hit the spot. The downstairs bar was closed however I'll be back to try it next time. Hopefully we will get a different waitress next time...

Had dinner here about a month or so ago. Great price for a good meal! Bread to start, lovely rocket and walnuts salad to start. Had a rare steak with the pepper sauce (which was delicious!). Decent sized steak and good cut. It's a bit hard to book into as it's quite busy. Loved the espresso martinis in the cocktail lounge downstairs, perfect place for date night 💕 can't wait to go again!
Ilovefood
Busy place! Tried 3 times until I could get a booking on the weekend at a decent time - so make sure you book well in advance. Only one cut of steak - but quite tasty. We enjoyed the unlimited fries and sauces, also comes with bread and salad. Really good value at $30. Good wine list too. Great service and nice ambience. 👍

Amazing steak and unlimited dies. What more do you need?
They do one thing and they nail it! Pretty good value also. Nice place and very friendly staff.
Pez
The fries are perfection, always crunchy outside and soft inside. The sauces are excellent, the creamy pepper corn and cognac my fave. The steak whilst not my favourite cut (rib eye / scotch fillet) is char grilled and perfectly cooked. Good value for $30. Try the souffle for dessert!
Only real issue is the service is pretty hit and miss. They seem to have a high turn over of staff.
Andrew Cusack
I don't understand all the 5 star reviews. There is only one food option and its very average. Average steak with McDonald's chips. If you want a good steak go to brekky creek or the Norman etc, this one is nothing special. I think the $15 lunch steak at beach house in the city is actually a bit better and half the price. On the up side the venue looks pretty cool, the styling is good. I don't understand the hype at all, maybe this place is good for a beer but I wouldn't go for the food!

Fun decor and atmosphere (spa bath downstairs) very cheeky.
Traditional Parisian menu of steak frites and choice of a selection of sauces. The shoes string fries are delicious and the best part is that they are endless! I could eat them for hours - not even joking.
I wasn't impressed with the steak. I was expecting a nicer cut. It was quite thin and quite gristly.
Staff were friendly however there was a long wait for our table to be ready (we had pre booked earlier in the week). Once seated it took a while for the waitress to take our orders so we were all well and truly hungry by the time the meals came out.

Pretty good - nice space, friendly staff. Steak was delicious. Fries tasted like doughnuts - strangely not a bad thing. Good value for money. I liked it.
Amy
Starts with a nice salad of rocket with walnuts and fresh soft bread. Followed by a steak cooked to your liking with sauce of your choice which both were nice. And a side of everyone's favourite non stop chips. The meal was very nice and great value. The service was very efficient and friendly. Would definitely go back next time I'm ready for a big feed!

The customer service of the waitstaff is amazing. The steak is just OK, not the best I've ever had but certainly not the worst. The atmosphere is really nice and they validate parking for china town which is great. The standout for my visit was definitely the wonderful waitress we had. Thanks!!

This has got to be one of the best steak places in Brisbane! My partner had taken me here on my birthday for dinner. The restaurant vibes were unique, and also included a bar. The only main dish they served was steak, and this was god damn goooood. You also had the choice of various selections of sauces. The frites were also unlimited, despite the servings being so reasonable for what you pay. A salad was also served on the side. I definitely enjoyed my night here and will be returning soon.
Hungrylouisa
Bottomless fries and steak. What more could you want? Good service, awesome atmosphere. Steak was cooked well though my cut was slightly fatty. The sauce cafe de Paris was a perfect accompaniment to the steak and rounded off the dish well. Did I mention bottomless fries?!???
Lananana
If you want good quality steak you won't like this place. The steak is a cheap cut and the chips were dry with little to no salt. Food is pretty terrible but you get what you pay for.
Samie
Two amazing visits, two amazing experiences. Love this spot. So chic with a hint of naughty history that is celebrated in their decor. Yummy food of course. Hubby loved his steak and I was happy that they accommodate pescetarians. And their cafe de Paris...... With the bottomless fries......... Time for another visit I think.

Sure, some people may not get the idea of a steak-frites restaurant but I LOVE it! You go, you know exactly what you're going to order and it comes out and it's delicious.

having been to Les Bubbles several times, I have always enjoyed it. Salad, steak, frites, all done to perfection and for $30, such good value!

The only problem I have is that it can be so hard to get a table because it's too popular. i would happily go here any time.
Anthony H
Love this place!
The steak is delicious and the peppercorn sauce is my personal favourite.
I also really enjoyed the fresh bread and French butter which is served as an appetiser.

Tip: You can order as many sauces as you like.
WAYz
A group of us went to see what the hype was all about so we all went with the easy menu, Steak Frites which is pretty much the only thing in the menu. This includes steak and bottomless fries and salad!

Starting off with complementary bread, which was surprisingly fresh.

The salad came out next which looked a little disappointing, it looked very basic and tasted very bitter.

The mains came out, myself ordering a rare steak with Sauce Bearnaise. Steak wasn't the best cut nor flavoured at all but was reasonably well cooked. The sauce was more on the bland side which was also discussed and agreed between us at the table.

The fries were a little bland for me so I requested some ketchup. After waiting 15mins and no ketchup I had to re-request, which it then came out a few minutes later.

The bar down stairs did look interesting tho really lacks in seating.

The wait staff were polite and professional, but having to wait for my sauce wasn't a good experience.

Overall, the experience was a little average but for $29.90 it is value for money if you can eat a lot of fries. If you want quality prob a few better places around.
Barbara Ceglarski
What a super fun place to dine. Recently lunched with friends and we were all happy and satisfied with the food, service and atmosphere. Have no gripes at all with the food - All fresh and tasty and steaks cooked to perfection. But the best was the raspberry souffle, to die for!!! Service was attentive and professional. Looking forward to dining there again soon.
ChrisEats
A lovely mid week mini celebration meal. Steak and fries exactly as advertised, with remarkably good house wine served decanted in a carafe. The steak and fries were exactly as you could expect - quality and a bang on medium rare. Not life changing but genuinely tasty with both the béarnaise and peppercorn and cognac sauces on point.

Recommend !
L

Well worth a look.
Bonnie
Steak, frites and salad just done really really well. Delicious!
Service was a little keen to clear our plates. Three different waitresses constantly asking if we wanted our salad taken away and if we were finished eating when we were just happy to sit and pick. Mildly annoying.
Marjan
OMG! That was an awesome steak. Every thing was just perfect. Salad was so fresh and tasty. Steak was served with huge amount of chips and amazing sauce. Restaurant has a great atmosphere and chic furniture. Waitresses are so polite and helpful. I definitely recommend it.
The Delicious Pursuit
As lovers of steak and all things tasty, it was only a matter of time before The Delicious Pursuit made its way to Les Bubbles. Whilst plenty has been made of Les Bubbles’ transformation from notorious bath-house to chic French bistro, our eyes were focused purely on the menu.
May
Absolutely gorgeous steak ! well cooked and simply loved the peppercorn & cognac sauce! fries were spot on ,accompanied by a real yum salad . For dessert, the apple tarte tartin and vanilla ice-cream was splendid! good night out indeed with a glass of champagne :)
Espresso&Matcha
With all the online hype, it was only a matter of time before we had a meal at Les Bubbles. Having reached a significant milestone lately, my companion and I headed there for lunch. We had booked in advance, which ensured that we were able to grab a table without any trouble, and it wasn't even half full during lunch time.
Harvey Shore
Had dinner tonight with friends at this reasonably new steak & chippery in Fortitude Valley. Allegedly a brothel in previous days, the walls here are covered in Fitzgerald-era photos suggesting another type of vice, and the entrance hints at butcher shop roots. But now it offers easy access, an open kitchen, quick service, very friendly staff and decent-size steak and chips. It's a popular spot for carnivores. Probably not for vegans, because steak & chips -that's all they've got for mains! The joint offers a buzzy vibe and bottomless servings of chips. Service is quick ... prices are fair: mains are $30 and beers $7. But we have two complaints:- (1) The steaks were poor quality - like chewy discount scotch fillets cut in half, with too much sinew and gristle. Not a great taste. (2) They forgot which sauce was which, and brought the mustard at the end of the meal instead of the beginning. But the wait-staff are so damn nice, we hadn't the heart to complain. When the seven desserts on their menu didn't appeal, the waitress winked and indicated a very popular ice cream parlour just outside. We left feeling full and happy (despite those chewy steaks).
Cora Chen
I think Les Bubbles is great in concept and execution. Obviously the idea of a steakhouse that basically only serves steak is not going to appeal to you if you're a vegetarian or don't eat steak, but for those who do love a good cut of red meat, this place dishes up the goods. If like me, you get overwhelmed with choosy menus, you'll be relived to learn that Les Bubbles only makes you choose the sauce to accompany your steak. We saw there was quite an appealing dessert menu too but we chose to get our sweet fix elsewhere.
Foodietee
The steak meal here itself is great. The steak is cooked perfectly, the chips are well seasoned and the sauce is creamy. I also really enjoyed the bread and butter that was served as part of the starter. I would recommend, perhaps, a different salad? The salad they currently serve is extremely bitter and just not very appetising. Bit of a blah way to start a meal. Service is also not to the level that would be expected of such a establishment. Staff seem to be quite inexperienced and would be better suited to a more casual dining cafe than the fancier nature that Les Bubbles is trying to sell.
Skip Hansen
I'm that annoying guy who never makes a decision on his order until the waitress is breathing down my neck, I've always been a terrible decision maker and so obviously Les Bubbles one steak option is right up my street, even if I did take my time choosing the sauce.

This ranks as one of my favourite steak experiences. The vibe is trendy, laid back fun, staff are beautiful and confident. Frites top notch (didn't need seconds), great tasting medium rare steak with the Café de Paris sauce (green peppercorn was better in my opinion though). Nice wine list too. Hopefully they can keep it up long term.

They have a different take from every other steakhouse in town and absolutely adds to the city, like many of Damian Griffith's other ventures. Les Bubbles gets 4.5/5 (Bombe Alaska dessert, edible but not my favourite, brings it down half a notch).
F.A.T.Susie
Have been slightly obsessed about this place and have been at least three times in the last few months - each time the steaks were cooked perfectly and were absolutely delicious. Unlimited fries? Heck yes. But the highlight is definitely those sauces! I would say the green peppercorn and cognac is my favourite but love how I was offered all three to try. All the waitresses I have interacted with have been fine, no complaints. The butter for the starter breads are delicious too - been wondering where I could get them from! Desserts however were nothing special personally. Will continue to go back for the steak and sauces !
Frank
First visited on opening night and it was terrible so thought we would give it another chance as they had some time to sort out the little things. The appearance is great and the plates and glasses are nice, basically the only thing this place has going for it.
You'd think for a restaurant that only had 1 dish on the menu that they'd be able to do it well but that is not the case. Firstly that salad is absolutely drenched in an awful vinegar so you can't taste any other flavour. The fries are oily and the sauce also had just as much oil. The menu says the steak is served med rare and you'd think they would have that perfected but both steaks came out well done. They were also thin and tasted like dirt. Doesn't help that the waitresses are obviously not hired on their waitressing skills. It's as though the manager went out on the street and picked the 5 prettiest girls and didn't worry about having any experience. They were rude and didn't even know basic serving skills. Les bubbles is really a mess and we left unhappy both times. If you're going to be a steak restaurant at least cook a good steak.
Justcozitstuesday
Having heard many lovely things about Les Bubbles, we booked a few weeks in advance for our pre Christmas celebration. Arriving early, I was shown to one of the front tables, that was tucked into a little niche.

For some reason they had on record that we made a reservation for 3, instead of 2. It really isn't a big issue, but it would be helpful if they took away the extra cutlery, plate and glass once they find out.

Once we ordered, our salads and bread came out pretty quickly. It could just be me but I wasn't expecting pre-packed President butter. Warm bread would've also been a nice touch.

At my usual joint, steak frites comes with Bearnaise sauce, so I thought I'd try the Café de Paris this time. I have no experience with this sauce, but I did expect it to be a bit warmer and smoother.

Being tucked away, although in my opinion we were rather visible, it was a bit difficult to catch the attention of the waitresses. I ended up waving my hand so much, the chef waved back and may or may not have thought I was trying to hit on him. I ended up getting my own menu to look at the desserts, since it didn't seem like anyone was planning to come over.

At the end of the evening, it was just as difficult to get someone to come back and put the credit card payment through. True, there were other people lining up to pay but my waitress telling me that it was difficult to see me as I was sitting in a corner really did feel like a bit of a reprimand.

Note to self: if I'm back for a meal, make sure to get a highly-visible-not-in-the-corner table.
Rebecca
They've done a really good job here. Perfectly set up, they only serve steak and fries and the steak was perfectly cooked. The only issue I had was we booked and they squeezed three of us at a small table, when there was heaps of room available.
Steven Gormley
Only one thing on the menu, Steak and Chips. Genius. Served medium-rare, steak was beautifully cooked and served with a very (un)healthy amount of fries. This of course was to my absolute pleasure! Just like a fancy Sizzler gesture of cheese bread, if your keen to mow through more potato - just ask the waiter for more fries, they are unlimited! Good photo opps inside restaurant with decor and neon lighting. Make sure you check out the bathhouse cocktail bar downstairs, I wouldn't suggest taking your togs though.
Dolce Bunnie
our delicious, juicy steaks cooked medium rare. The steak comes with your choice of sauces, including café de Paris, béarnaise, and green peppercorn & cognac. Oh and have I mentioned that you get bottomless frites? Yep, as much as you can possibly eat. They are seriously good frites too!

Came here for lunch with a group of friends and I was impressed by the fit out from the moment we stepped in. Even though the space isn't that wide but instead has lots of length, the red booths on one side with tables down the middle and the open kitchen and bar on one side made it feel roomy and very stylish. Really liked the pendant lights they used too. We ventured downstairs into the bath house area and I was impressed - there was a spa bath in one corner, seating along one wall and a bar area in the middle as well as a sound station for DJing.

Service was friendly and professional and quick. Our food didn't take long to arrive, we were served salad and bread to start and it was delicious. I ordered the sauce cafe de Paris to go with my medium rare steak. The sauce reminded me of mustard; can't say I liked or disliked it in the end. The bottomless chips were good although a little over salted for me and made me feel really thirsty afterwards. Also ordered an elderflower Collins cocktail and it was fantastic.

As a side note, they also validate parking for Chinatown car park, which was a win in my books.
Betty & Jason
We arrived at 5.30pm on a Friday afternoon and since the website said 'walk ins welcome' we didn't book, thus we were told we could only eat till 6.45, which was fine. (Recommend to book)! Salad was so-so, way too much dressing and onion sauce. The winner was the steak- tender, juicy and well charred. The chips were crunchy, flavoursome and abundant and we couldn't finish ours let alone order more! Nevertheless, the girl should have let us eat at our own pace instead of constantly rushing us despite us already knowing we had to leave at a certain time..she didn't let us order a dessert. Service was Meh and weird since half the restaurant was empty and she was rushing us out!
Steven
Went to Les Bubbles for the second time yesterday (Thursday) with a group of friends. Steak was cooked to perfection and unlimited frites were delicious. Our waitperson was absolutely fantastic, we had the blonde English girl. Service was very quick and very friendly although she seemed rushed around and very busy. Only downside was when we came to leave a different waitperson who we hadn't even seen all night swooped by after she saw my card on the table and seemed to snatch to take my payment. We went downstairs to bathhouse and our waitress showed us around and explained everything to us - which was great! Will definitely be back.
Monica Sottile
I really enjoyed the steak I had from here. The cafe Paris sauce was delicious, and there salad was light and fresh. The bottomless chips won me over ever more, can't think of anything better. Service was a bit slow but apart from that I enjoyed it. Had a look at the downstairs bath house though and it was a little bit gross - had a sleazy vibe that I wasn't into.

Parlez-vous Francais? No, me either, but I sure pretended to once I heard the musical notes of this awesomely awesome bistro!

Damien Griffiths has definitely hit it out of the park with this one. Les Bubbles is a quaint moderately sized French Bistro and Bar paying homage to its somewhat sordid past. Les Bubbles is on Wickham St in the Valley and was once an illegal casino and brothel back in the Fitzgerald Inquiry.

The photos of infamous 1980's characters adorn every wall with red, yellow and blue neon signage on the exposed brick.

The food: Les Bubbles has one main on the menu - Steak Frites. A cut of beautifully cooked well seasoned rib fillet and a side of salty frites - or French fries, served with an option of sauces. The Bearnaise, Cafe de Paris, and Green Peppercorn and Cognac, and also a side salad served before the mains arrive.

Did I mention that the frites are unlimited? Yes! You can have as many or as little as you like along with the sauce! Let's eat ALL of the frites!!!

After a main each, with complimentary bread and butter, 2 glasses of Shiraz, and a perfectly airy chocolate mousse with vanilla chantilly cream it is safe to say we left quite satisfied.

Go here if you love steak and chips, an epic french dessert list, and to people watch - the clothing choices that patrons chose to wear were fabulous.

The service was fantastic. Every single waitperson was bubbly (hehe) and friendly and the wonderful French accents of the males was music to my ears.

The females in French lace trimmed maid style aprons was a bit tongue in cheek - a nod to the buildings history perhaps.
Davski
They have one thing on the menu and it's steak, they cook it to perfection, almost as good as some of the $60 steaks you can find around the place. The only choice you have to make is the choice from a selection of 3 delicious sauces. They do have a vegetarian meal but I didn't ask about it. With unlimited salad and chips you won't walk out hungry. They have a limited drinks selection but something their for all tastes so again it's a mater of having a limited selection but nailing what they do have. They have a bar with not much seating downstairs.
Only thing I was not happy with is whilst paying the bill with eftpos the young french (I think) bloke gave me the filthiest attitude for not giving him a tip. It's Australia mate, GET OVER IT !! And this is the reason I had to give a lower rating.
Eat Drink And Be Kerry
It's long been a famous Brisbane destination for all the wrong reasons but Brisbane foodpreneur Damian Griffiths has set out to change all that. Capitalising on the notorious past of Bubbles Bathhouse, which was at the centre of the Fitzgerald inquiry, the building now houses Brisbane's first Parisian steakhouse Les Bubbles and Bubbles Bath-House.
Chris
Well, it's cool the people are fun, the service is equally fun. The food cis just about quick enough to leave the kitchen and is good value. However, this is not a top notch steak house. It's more of a pub steak and that's no bad thing. The sauces are great and the drinks are well made... I enjoyed it. Especially, the atmosphere. Fun and quirky!!!!
Linh Nguyen
The talk of town this month was here so thought I'd try it out. There is only one signature dish at the place - medium rare (recommended) rib fillet steak with your choice of 3 sauces and bottomless 'frites' fries! It could either go completely wrong or make a lasting impression with a risky one signature dish. However, it proved to be the latter. The rib eye fillet was cooked to perfection, when you make the first cut you could see the juice slowly oozing out. The fries left me wanting more and the sauce was tasty and different to the other sauces you'd normally get at the typical steakhouses. Still unsure how I feel about my sauce 'Café de Paris' as it had a very distinct taste but overall it was worth the money!!!

Yummy food. Amazing chips with free re-fills! Steak quite good too!

Open super late which is a huge plus, and with cool decor! The only thing I'd suggest is free soft drink re-fills and an extended menu.

Disappointing mid-week experience.

I was very excited to try Les Bubbles given the history of the building and the reviews I had read, however it did not live up to these expectations. The service left a lot to be desired. We were waiting over 10 minutes to be given a menu or water. We tried numerous times to wave the waiters over or to make eye contact with them, without success. Eventually one of the others I was dining with gave up and went to the bar to ask for menus. The waitress then served another table drinks before coming over to us. She seemed impatient and was not apologetic about keeping us waiting. Bottomless fries were definitely not mentioned and we had little time to peruse the menu before she took them. In any case once we had ordered we were looking forward to trying the infamous steak, given it's their specialty.

We were impressed when our salads came out individually before the mains. The salad was very tasty, we especially liked the inclusion of walnuts. However, our mains then arrived a few minutes after the salad. The salad and mains could not fit on the table at the same time so to our shock and disappointment the waiter collected our unfinished salads. The steak itself was fine, definitely not the best I've had in Brisbane but for the price it was quite nice. When we had finished we waited a long time for our meals to be cleared - about 20 minutes. Whilst waiting for our meals to be cleared we watched the table next to us begin to have the same experience - they were seated and given menus, however their orders were not taken for the same 20 minutes we waited for our table to be cleared. Given there is one item on the menu, 20 minutes is a long time to peruse the menu. I watched their irritation as our table was cleared before their orders had been taken. When the waiter finally came over to clear our table he did not offer us a menu to look at dessert, nor offer us any other drinks. When I asked for the bill I was told I had to go to the counter to get it and to pay. Going up to the counter was an awkward experience given there were others paying so a line was forming - not what I'd expect at a decent restaurant. Given it was mid-week I would hate to think what service would be like on a weekend!

Overall I think the food was fine but it could no way excuse the poor service and this is something the restaurant really needs to work on. I will not be back in a hurry, especially given the other great restaurant choices in the area.

Les Bubbles is another genius creation by experienced restauranteur Damien Griffiths. We visited Les Bubbles last week for a launch dinner where we were treated to a Parisian feast. To begin we were served a soft leaf salad, ingredients were fresh but nothing to write home about. For mains we had their signature dish, Steak Frites, served with bottomless frites. The steak I ordered was medium rare and came out still perfectly pink in the middle - cooked to absolute perfection. To accompany the steak, I chose the green peppercorn and cognac sauce which was creamy and slightly sweetened - I highly recommend!! For dessert we had the Apple Tarte Tatin, beautiful pastry and apple filling but way too much sauce.

Les Bubbles is the latest addition to Damian Griffith's
growing empire of trendy culinary destinations (think Kwan Brothers, Limes
Hotel, Alfred & Constance, Chester St Bakery). Amazingly, the restaurant
serves just one main dish: steak & fries - a bold but winning move!

For just $29.90, you get bread (with French butter!), a starter salad, a delicious
grass-fed premium steak, bottomless fries (umm yes, as in unlimited,
all-you-can-eat fries!) AND a generous serving of sauce (choose from Cafe de
Paris, bearnaise or green peppercorn & cognac - they're all good but my
favourite is the Café de Paris which has garlic and anchovies). Incredible
value!! When you only have one main on
the menu, there's nowhere to hide.. but thankfully the steak was on point! Tender, juicy and the fries were also tasty. On the other end of the spectrum, the dessert menu boasts
8 different creations - I recommend the Bombe Alaska (a refreshing mango sorbet
version!), Raspberry soufflé and French
crepes with Nutella.

Drinks-wise, there are 3 cocktails on offer and you will
definitely want to order the "Cheeky French Maid" - just to take a
picture of the sexy glass it comes in! ;) There will also eventually be wines
on tap and a basement bar underneath the restaurant.

The decor at Les Bubbles resembles that of a hip French
bistro (with a few cheeky touches). Make sure you call ahead for a reservation because this is going to be the next IT restaurant in Brisbane (I hear it's already booked out until next week)... I’m giving this place 5 stars because the price, food, drinks and ambience are all perfectly aligned!

Ps. I just saw that they do daily specials for vegetarians and seafood lovers so don't despair if you want something other than steak :)
Howgoodisfoodbut
Steak and bottomless frites have never looked this good! With high expectations going in, I can say, Les Bubbles definitely reached those expectations and more...

Definitely give this one a try.

can't wait to check out downstairs for a drink.

Wow, was lucky to be one of the first to try out the latest venture from Damian Griffiths and boy is it good!

When you only have one choice on the menu, it better be good. Luckily, it is! Les Bubbles is a French inspired steak house which serves one choice of steak as a main. Don't fret though, it comes with a salad, bread and bottomless fries... You read correctly, as much crispy fries as you eat!

The steak itself is excellent, and when considering it all comes for $33, it'd unbelievable value. The steak is cooked medium rare unless stated otherwise, and mine came out perfect. It's juicy, and flavoursome. The sauce choices are all good too, and you get a decent serving of it. My choice is the bearnaise or the Cafe de Paris. Yum...

The desserts are all pretty good too, picks of the bunch are the Raspberry Souflee and the Mango Bomb Alaska. I'll definitely be back!

I'll definitely be back!
