Review My Thai - Brisbane

Joe Khoo
My Thai rivals Siam Samrarn at West End for their beautiful traditional Siamese decor. Dishes were mostly well presented and tasty. The Tom Yum Goong and Thai Spicy Chicken Mince Salad were very salty, almost inedible while the Calamari was bland. The beautiful Mocktails and Thai Desserts were the highlight!

Best authentic Thai I’ve ever had in my life. I honestly don’t understand why anyone would give them any less than 5 stars and would question any negative reviews. We got a takeaway (my pic does not do this dinner justice:) and shared a few of their tasty vegetarian dishes with a delicious phad Thai and the most phenomenal goat curry which melted in the mouth cooked in a wonderful lentil sauce. Everything was so incredibly fresh and beautifully cooked with love. Attention to detail with fresh chopped coriander, slivers of cabbage, slices of lemon and sauces. We will never ever go anywhere else again and will dine in next time. The restaurant looks very cosy inside and also has outside seating and excellent service. 🥰❤️

Beef salad was so good, very spicy which I love. Our whole table loved this dish as we’re all Asian and it’s nice to see when restaurants stick to their guts and don’t compromise on spice and flavour- it tasted so authentic. Got the pina colada as a joke but it was actually so good.

Lovely ambiance but what a disappointment the meal was. I had the Aussie Cry Beef Salad based on the beautiful picture in the menu. What arrived at the table was nothing like the menu. The beef was cold soggy and salty. Definitely no fish sauce or lime, in fact I had to ask for them to bring lime to the table. In hindsight I should have sent it back. Maybe the owner needs to quality control the meals. But what most annoyed me was the false advertising, the dish I was served was not like the one pictured in the menu. Two slices of tomato and three slices of cucumber. Not restaurant quality food.

Very beautiful restaurant with amazing food 😍😍😍 love the lemon grass pork belly, mussaman beef curry and crispy pork with kale😋. They have the best rice paper rolls I have eaten 🥰. There’s many different kinds of drink and interesting cocktail my favorite is blue sea margarita🤩 Amazing service always so helpful and friendly❤️. Also they have mango sticky rice with coconut ice cream (seasonal dessert)🤤 it’s wonderful! The mango is fresh and the decorating is so pretty 😍. Definitely my favorite thai restaurant in Brisbane makes me feel like I am in Thailand~~

Fantastic service, fantastic food! We celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary with dinner here and enjoyed the Thai Dim Sims, Massaman Beef and specialty dish Thai On The Roof with coconut rice.. I let the team know ahead of time about our anniversary and they were kind enough to give us great seats and complimentary drinks which did not disappoint. If you love Thai, this is Brisbane’s best, and has been consistently brilliant from the first time I visited in 1998.

The waitresses and waiter were so lovely and even though we had to wait a little bit the food was just perfect, and super delicious! Thanks so much for a great night, and for holding the ship as well as you did even with less than ideal circumstances. Aum and the waitress in pink were particularly kind and great servers. Heads up, you guys did an upstanding job and we’ll definitely be back as we live up the road and the food is great ❤️

There is a reason to book a table in advance - you just might miss out as this place is usually busy. My Thai has fantastic authentic Thai food, professional, well trained, organised and friendly staff and the food…..5 Stars. Every thing just feels clean and fresh here and for a restaurant that been around for ever, the owners should be congratulated for its consistent 5 star feel.
Jenny
Delicious Thai food here. Portion for pineapple fried rice is good and also the fish is decent. Curry is also flavorful. One of the best Thai pl on my list now. Certainly will be back for more

Saturday night and our group of five walk into a bustling My Thai at 6.30pm. The elegant traditional Thai decor is mesmerising as I take in this beautiful suburban restaurant. Wait staff looking impeccable in Thai traditional dress seat us quickly and cold water/menus are provided. After placing our dinner order, drinks from the bar are served. <br/><br/>*Our entrees arrive within 20 minutes. The Thai Fish Cakes are good and the Tempura Calamari Rings though tender are quite tasteless. <br/><br/>*Tom Yum Goong comes in an attractive Hot Pot and the soup is tasty with a touch of coconut cream but is very salty. The ten large King Prawns look impressive and are quite fresh. <br/><br/>*Mussaman Beef Curry is flavoursome and the Beef is tender but the serving size is quite small. <br/><br/>*Laab Gai (Thai Spicy Chicken Salad) is Chicken mince tossed with chilli flakes and fresh herbs with a squeeze of lemon juice. This dish is tasty and refreshing but is very salty.<br/><br/>*Pad Ped Talay (Combination Seafood) has Scallops, Prawns and Calamari tossed with red curry paste, bamboo shoots, capsicum, green beans, Thai basil and Kaffir Lime leaves. This dish is nicely presented with a generous serve of seafood and vegetables. <br/><br/>*Mix Desserts are a combination of Black Glutinous Rice & Coconut Cream, Coconut Ice Cream and Tapioca Pudding with a Lychee. These desserts are a group favourite. <br/><br/>*Our Kiwi Land and Red Rose Mocktails look outstanding, are refreshing and delicious!<br/><br/>Our group enjoy our dinner here. The food is good, not outstanding but the attentive helpful wait staff and beautiful decor of this restaurant helps improve the overall rating to 4.0/5.0!<br/><br/>With... Phuong Tran & Gaik Kee Khoo

Lovely Thai food tax return sauce is sensational. Laab Gai lovely. Stir fry vegetable with cashew lovely too. The red beef curry delicious. All dishes will delight. Can be busy so book early. Have been eating this food for 15 years and never disappoints. Never. Run by the owners and it shows.
Blind Guardian
We'd heard great things about this restaurant, and so turned up here on a Friday night for a birthday dinner for 4, with 2 members never having had Thai before.<br/><br/>At the end of our meals, 3 thoughts occupied my mind :<br/><br/> - The food. I have had a lot of Thai food in my life, and this has been about as good as it gets. It tasted different to other suburban restaurants, which gave the impression of it being more authentic. It was certainly tasty, and the presentation was amazing. The 2 newbies in our party were very impressed with their respective flavours and became instant fans of the cuisine.<br/><br/> - The ambience. The building and decor are quite striking. As you enter you are greeted with strong wooden features which culminate in a cathedral ceiling. Off to one side there is an impressive feature in the wall, quite large statues with accentuated lighting. The overall lighting in the restaurant was a little too dark; I had to read out the menu items for my parents, who are only in their 60's but still had difficulty reading the menu in the given light.<br/><br/> - The waitresses. This was the one great negative of the night. 3 of our main dishes came out in good time, but of course all 4 should come out at the same time. It wasn't until we asked one of the girls 5 mins later about the missing dish, that it finally came out. During the meal we had finished the large serving of coconut rice, and requested another one from the waitresses so that we could continue with our meal. We were brought out a SMALL serving of coconut rice. When it came to our table, we informed the girl that we had asked for a large serve. So we waited. And waited. We then decided to just make do with the small coconut rice between the 4 of us. Just as we were finishing up with our mains, the large serve of coconut rice came to our table. So now we had this massive portion of coconut rice to get through, with nothing to mix it with.<br/><br/>The waitresses themselves were quite friendly, but the owners of this fine restaurant need to set some procedures and training in place for these girls as the service part of our evening was a bit of a mess.

I’ve been here a couple of times over the years and although it’s more pricey than other Thai restaurants, the quality of food is top quality and delicious. Nice decor and service, the rice paper roll entree were the nicest rice paper rolls I’ve ever had!
Blake B
Really friendly service and great quality thai food. My girlfriend was also really happy that there was yummy vegan options. It is great that we could split the bill. Highly recommend if you are after great thai food in Brisbane :)
Little Man
Good food and reasonably priced. We have been here multiple times and each time we always order the barramundi (along with other dishes) ... delicious. Its family friendly and I love that it's BYO. They have also expanded into Milton. This is a great family run restaurant cooking fresh Thai food well!!

Not authentic Thai food in my opinion. People who enjoy food here probably haven't been to Thailand or tried other Thai restaurants in Brisbane.<br/><br/>What we ate:<br/>- Pineapple rice (it's okay, presentation looked good);<br/>- Red Curry Pork (gravy is tasty but there was a bulk of bamboo shoots in the curry for some reason)<br/>- Beef Sweet Basil (cheap cut of the meat was used, nothing special)<br/>- Fried prawns entree (best dish we had, tasted fresh and crunchy)<br/><br/>Other:<br/>- Busy waitresses but at least the food came quickly<br/>- Decor and food presentation looked good<br/>- Food is expensive<br/>- We went at 7pm on a Wednesday <br/>
Kan Do
Another Thai restarant in Brisbane and another Thai disappointment for Mrs Kan Do and me, which is a pity considering the excellent Zomato ratings, which I can understand to some extent.<br/>The decor which impressed us as we entered is excellent and tastefully Thai. <br/>Mrs Kan Do was really in the mood for some tom yum goong (tom yum soup with prawns) and I was in the mood for prawn stir fry with coconut rice. Unfortunately due to the white spot disease, prawns were not available so we settled for alternative seafood dishes - a pad thai with mixed seafood and the chef's special 457 - steamed barramundi and vegetables with a 'herbaceous special sauce' which we ordered medium-hot. <br/>The food did not take long to arrive. The pad thai lacked flavour, spicy heat and wok smokiness - three essential elements for this dish. I asked for some extra crushed peanuts and fresh cut chilli with soy sauce which helped the dish along. The seafood was cooked perfectly, but without sufficient flavour this dish rated a 2.5-3. <br/>The steamed barramundi and vegetables was cooked perfectly, but the promised 'herbaceous' mix of lemongrass, green chilli and coriander were mere hints rather than adding a real kick to the dish. I may as well have been eating at a European or Australian restaurant, in which case I would have rated the dish higher than the 3 I give it in the context of a Thai restaurant. <br/>Mrs Kan Do decided to pick some dessert to pick up our disappointed expectations, and we were having a hard time choosing between the coconut ice cream and the tapioca pudding (sago pudding). Our friendly waitress recommended the mixed dessert, which is a shot each of three desserts on the menu, including the coconut ice cream and the sago pudding, and the black sticky rice dessert. <br/>The desserts were all satisfactory but not too amazing. The best of them was the black sticky rice which was served warm and was delicious with the coconut cream. The coconut ice cream was also quite good, although I would have looked more coconut flavour infused by way of coconut cream as well as the shredded coconut throughout the ice cream. The sago pudding was adequate. Overall, the mixed dessert rated 3.5-4. <br/>Service was impeccable throughout, with friendly and efficient wait staff. <br/>I agree with other reviewers that the restaurant does not compromise on the quality of the ingredients, and there is some skill to the cooking, and therefore you can expect to pay a corresponding price for the dishes.

Absolutely by far the best Thai food I've ever tasted, they were good 20 years ago in there old premises, there even better now. The food is amazing and the atmosphere was so warm and comfortable
Peruvian Palate
Outstanding Thai food. I forgot how good this restaurant was! Was going to give them a 5 but didn't because it was soooo hot inside. They seriously need to upgrade the A/C if they want their customers to be comfortable, specially in summer and specially while eating Thai. One of the best Massaman curries I've had in Brisbane. The meat was so tender and the sauce was so complex in flavour and was so creamy and thick. The entire table had to try it and they all agreed. Out of all the dishes we ordered, this was the favourite. My second favourite was the prawn we had as an entree. The batter was light and fluffy and the prawns so big and juicy. The servings are huge and the quality of ingredients is high. Prices are a bit high but worth it. Will be coming back in winter.
Croissant Et Café Noir
Opted for the Satay Skewers, coconut rice, red chicken curry and pad Thai, all the staples. I can assure that they did not disappoint! A fantastic classic Thai restaurant that is certainly my favourite in Brisbane. Eat in or takeaway the quality won't change. I wouldn't hesitate if you are looking for something fantastic.
I Make Food Into Nards
So they pack you in like sardines, but they don't offer sardines on the menu. Not that I am complaining, food and service was great but I was craving sardines, cause I am that guy at work who has the stinky lunch (we all know that guy).<br/><br/>Considering that I couldn't swing a dead cat in there and I was sure that that same cat wasn't on the menu, we had a great night. Food and service was delicious and quick.

Is it really worth the wait? Don't think so! We made reservations for a Friday night , for 2. We arrived on time, the waiter took our drinks and entree order, then ten mins later we had the waitress come up to us to take our order, she didn't even know that we had already ordered entree n drinks. So clearly a miscommunication , you would think if we had two waiting staff looking after us, we would get amazing service, well...we ended up waiting for our mains for at least an hour , and people who came after us got their mains! And to make it worse , after a long wait long , when I asked, the waitress how long our food would take, she responded " do you guys have some where to go??? Seriously??? So if we had plans after dinner then you would get us our meals on time??? What happened to customer service ,Anyways then she comes back with a tall glass full of ice for our coke, and suggested the ice was to keep our coke cold... whilst waiting for mains that takes an hour !! Ice to make up for an hours wait?? Plus I had a 1/4 glass of coke ?? Seriously? a lil while after we got our mains, the owner comes out from the kitchen to greets the guests, walks to the table before us to check on them and walks past us and talks to the table behind us, r u for real lady???? So after paying $90 , all I get is a glass of ice, and an owner who clearly picks n choose her customers...Never coming back!!! Poor service! Very disappointed customer!!!

Came in on a slightly busy Wednesday night, service was fine and after ordering, the dishes came to us surprisingly fast! We only waited for around 5 minutes before our first dishes arrived. The spicy fried rice was full of flavour, but it was not very spicy so if you have a spicy tooth, try asking the waitress to increase the spiciness levels. Had a duck curry and tofu, these dishes were standard stuff. What stood out was the barramundi. I ordered it from the chefs specials area and boy did it rock my taste buds. The fish was tender and cooked just right with the green curry sauce complementing the fish perfectly. All in all, nice ambience and quick good Thai food. Will come again to try the other dishes!

Drove along Haig Rd and past the Sprout Cafe that recalled the episode of the dining experience in this renowned Thai restaurant at Auchenflower. Had a dinner with friends quite a long time ago, my impression of this restaurant was so strong with grand and elegant set-up after-image. It gave me the feeling of having dinner in one of the palace at Thailand. Foods were traditional and authentic. As I compared it with its sibling "My Thai Kitchen" down the road. They are just like mother & daughter, this restaurant is just like the mum who covers up all the meals at home and the daughter "My Thai Kitchen" shows her energetic character to reflect what the mum has taught in a causal way. We should be proud of having these two Thai eateries in Brisbane.

My Thai is a great place to get some nice food. Always have lovely service and the owner is a delightful lady who is very bubbly and social.

Happy customer. Great food probably the best Thai I've ever had!! Great staff very attentitive, and really fast service!! Will definitely be back!!
Pjanethenderson24
Best Thai Food. I absoultly love teh food here, I live local and come here as often as I can. Take away is pretty fast and reasonably priced for the amount of food. Perfect
Ava
The Food wasn't good we had Pad Thai and beef salad (Aussie cry ) .. Very lack of quality compare with the price!!! Pad Thai was ok not thing special but the beef salad can't taste anything just chilli and they use too much chicken stock I can taste after you had food you will feel very thirsty. Think about before you go there have many Thai restaurants around there not too expensive taste not much different why you spend higher price !!!!!!!!
Ingrid Rendon
I absolutely love this restaurant !! I usually get take away coz I live near by. Never had a problem with anything I've ordered and the food is ready in no time!

MYTHAI. My Thai would have to be the most pleasant dining experience I have ever had! Just the smell coming from the kitchen I knew I was in for a feast fit for a Queen. I thoroughly enjoyed every mouthful and the overall atmosphere was impeccable. The wait staff were very helpful and went over and above to accommodate me and my family.
Bjclance
Best Thai I have eaten!!. I really love this place. I have been going to My Thai fro the last 18 years and it is still as good as it was the first day I found it! (Thought it about time I wrote about my love for it) The wait staff are always friendly and give prompt service. the meals are brought to the table quickly. The meals are delicious! Very authentic Thai food. The dishes will really keep you coming back for more :) I highly recommend coming here for any occasion!

Loved the food, pricing and atmosphere. Great food

Consistently good. Any restaurant which has survived for over 20 years in Brisbane, under the same ownership and continues to pack them in night after night must be doing something right, and indeed they are at My Thai.<br/>The menu hasn't changed that much over the years, all the traditional staples plus a few specialty dishes that are uniquely "My Thai"<br/>Probably one of the more expensive Thai restaurants around, however consistently good flavours, atmosphere and quality service keep us (and obviously many others) coming back regularly.
Quocle811
Good food, but very expensive, it wothed thought if you are not a student like me, enjoy.
Tyler Brown
Expensive and nothing outstanding. Three of us went here last Wednesday night. We've been going here for so many years and I have always asked for a table on the verandah. I was told she would try, but it was looking full. We arrived to find only two tables being used, and the others not set up. We were shown to a table inside. I couldn't be bothered requesting a table, but My Thai is not that great inside - really brightly lit and very noisy.<br/><br/>Our meals - tofu green curry (the four pieces of tofu were so big - too hard to eat in one piece - and a little hard to cut with no knives supplied); lamb chilli stir fry (none of us could tell whether it was lamb or beef or something else. It actually had no flavour. My mum had chicken prik king - it tasted exactly like the lamb dish.... Why do all the story fries here have the same flavour? We've always found that here - and while the flavour is nice, it gets a bit boring.<br/><br/>The waitress we had was lovely. But the night was a bit expensive, especially for the size of the meals - 2 beers; 2 vodka lime and sodas, one entree and 3 mains - $120. There are too many other nice Thai restaurants around to only come to My Thai - Thai on High, for example is always good.
Hugo
Very good. We where 8 people and ordered chicken satay and fish cakes , both of which were delicious. We followed with pad thai, garlic lamb, scallops and larb gai. Everyone enjoyed the food, the service was very good. We had a lovely night. <br/>We will be back. Hugo

We love this restaurant! Always consistently great good and amazing service. Golden parcels and my Thai goong are amazing!

Ali n sunny. We dined at My Thai last night, it was our first time. We loved it. Absolutely fabulous food and service, I can not think of anything I would change. Thank you for your hospitality.

My Thai. My favourite Thai restaurant in Brisbane always perfect - thank you :)
Neil M Lavery
Very good. We have been regulars at My Thai for some years now; the food is always great and the service is also good. Most recently we noticed the portions getting smaller and smaller.<br/><br/>Great place for a romantic dinner or a table of friends...
Theo
Consistently good over the past 10 years! Authentic and flavoursome food!

Lovely Thai. Enjoy the food and atmosphere. Great service!!

Very yummy authentic Thai food.. Best Thai meal we had for a very long time. Service is excellent, Decor makes the feeling very Thai.<br/>Very reasonably price meal for the quality of food you get.<br/>Would highly recommend to anyone wanting beautiful Thai food.

YUMMM. By far, Brisbane's best Thai restaurant! <br/>The swarm of customers in the restaurant is a pretty good indication at how amazing this place is. I have been on a Saturday, Sunday and even a Tuesday night and it was fully booked. Consistent service and great food. The Chicken and sweet basil with a side of coconut rice is my favourite.
Annaleigh
Friendly service and amazing food! would definitely recommend this place for thai food as there is a variety of thai dishes to choose from
Jennifer
Very poor experience!!! We had booked a table for 14, one week prior for a birthday and when we got there they were so unorganised!! We could only only have table for 2 hours. We had a cake and when we asked for it to be brought put they weren't very helpful at all. The toom is too crowded and tables and chairs are pushed to close together. The customers for pickup of takeaway wait and stand near the diners tables!! very unhygienic and uncomfortable for all. The food was nice.. The customer service was very poor. There were a couple of waitresses who were happy and efficient and then there was a particular skinny waitress who would not smile for anyone and the restaurant was packed and she would not smoke, grin, make any happy facial expression. There was a older guy (I assume the owner) standing behind the bar glaring at everyone). Definitely not child friendly even though they promote this. No room for a pram. Was given a Highchair and then asked for it half way through the meal so another table could use it as I was feeding my child. So baby bad incidents within one night. All 14 people wre unhappy. We will not be going again!

My best Thai !!. Become a regular customer their now. This place has a very nice atmosphere, excellent staff service , warm welcoming(big smile) ,food absolutely sensational.<br/>Very recommend this place if you need an authentic Thai.<br/>Will always support :) Mc Kay
Carmen
Love it! My partner and I would either eat in or get the equally as good take out weekly. The service is the best I have ever experienced and the staff are always so beautifully groomed. This place is certainly one to try but no matter the day I would advise booking as it can get very busy.
ClaireJane
One of the best Thai restaurants in Brisbane. The food is always exceptional and the restaurant is lovely. Great for a more upmarket Thai dining experience with an extensive menu to choose from. 'Chicken with pineapple' is one of my absolute favourite dishes and this is the only restaurant I've found it at. Service can be a little slow though.
K
Excellent everything but don't get the Laab!. Been here several times for family birthday celebrations and have been impressed with both the food and service every time. We normally get a selection of entrees, stir fries, salads and curries to share and they are all very good quality and generous servings. Except the laab, don't know what was going on there, it was dry and tasted weird, not off or anything, just not nice. I'd stay away from it. But other than that everything is very fresh and well flavored, definitely recommend.
Teresa
Average. When the entree came out i was really impressed, i had the coconut prawns ! they were delish! the main came about, and i didn't enjoy it at all, it had a very strange taste to it. - not really a nice taste. However, the service was pretty good! :)
Curly
Terrific Thai.. My Thai has the most divine Thai food, from when you enter the Aroma just wafts through the restaurant and awakens the senses, so when this happens you know you are in for a treat, and indeed it is just that. The food is just so delicious, that once you have had a hearty meal it makes you say to yourself, I must come back to explore other parts of the Menu and so the journey begins. The staff are wonderful they really do a magnificent job, and so I thoroughly recommend venturing over to this restaurant and after visiting, you to will understand why everyone adores this place.
Allan
The best. Quite simply the best Thai I have had - including dining in Thailand. Unlike a lot of Thai places the food was not greasy and very fresh. The springrolls were amongst the best I have had and the flavours well balanced. Lovely décor too.
Charlie
My favourite Thai restaurant. My Thai is literally the best Thai restaurant I have been to in Australia, and it actually beats quite a few of the restaurants that I visited in Thailand. The service can be a bit abrupt, however the ambience of the restaurant, coupled with the simply amazing food more than make up for it. Completely recommend this restaurant.
Candice
Our family loves this place! Delish.
Gary
Best Thai In Brisbane My Thai Heaven. A lot of the local restaurants can be reall hit and miss....Too noisy inside, really rude staff who don't care if you are there are not, but My Thai is different. The owner has been around for a while and it shows. The restaurant is beautifully decked out, with an indoor, or outdoor eating area. It is very busy and every time I eat there, it is full to capacity, and has been for years, which is always a good sign. The staff are well trained and very attentive and the menu is perfect Thai. Very welcoming and wonderful food. This s a place I kep going back to regularly and am never disappointed. You can also get any of the wonderful meals on the menu as take away. My Thai Heaven
Yum Yum
Not as good as it used to be!. This used to be best Thai in Oz but visit last weekend let us down. Fish cakes were rubbery and beef in Thai herbs unbelievably salty. Duck red curry however was the usual my thai delish I've known. I really hope they can get back to all dishes being that high standard.
FanchiangBill
I would never ever go to this restaurant again! unbelievable rude attitude!!!!! Forced customer to apologized for missed appointment!!! I can't believe he was soooo rude after even I said sorry!!!
Anna
Yummy. I went here with my parents and boyfriend- the food was fantastic! The place was packed and we didn't get as good seats as we would have liked, but I guess we booked the day before so can't really complain. <br/><br/>Drink service was average and the waiters didn't really know much about beer- but all that can be overlooked for the quality of the food this place puts out. I was really really impressed- and I will be back!
John
NOT CHILD FRIENDLY RESTAURANT. Bad and rude restaurant manager.
Angie
Have been going for years and have even done a Thai cooking class there. After trying other Thai restaurants around Brisbane, this one is the best
Jakajutin
Food is good. Front of House Poor. The lady at the desk at the front of this restaurant needs an attitude lesson. The customers pay her wage, and do not need to be scoured at, nor made to feel unwelcome. If you can see through the staff problems - and typically for an asian restaurant - the food may be good, but what you order and what is written on the ticket may not be the same dish.
Bon
Fantastic!. It's got a top rating and it's constantly packed, for a very good reason. The best Thai restaurant I know of, and reasonably priced to boot. Even my picky mother will happily eat here, which speaks volumes. Rich flavors, always cooked to perfection, and a huge variety of options. My fiance and his friends have often muttered about trying the 'Aussie Cry' but none have yet dared...
Sabrina Poon
Good Pad Thai, nice decor. First time getting take-away. Sunday night, the restaurant is 90% filled. Lovely decor. Pad Thai were moist, fresh and soft! Best one i have had in Brisbane. Spring rolls were home made and you can taste the freshness of the ingredients. Nicely done.
Eekimus
Lucky we booked ahead as it was busy at night time. Lots of people ordered takeaway as well. Ordered the fish cake entree, chicken green curry and seafood combination dish. Overall food was tasty, well presented. The portion sizes could have been bigger especially given the price. Service was very good and the place well dc
Miraiy
Best Thai in Brisbane. Favorite place. Yummy yummy.
RW
Excellent, always busy for a reason. Coconut rice can be a bit much sometimes. Some of their dishes are sweet enough. Get the basil chili lamb, yum.
Tez
Brisbane's Best Thai Restaurant. We have been going to My Thai for many years. The food has always been exceptional, the service is great and it is reasonably priced.
Jessiedex
Love love love! Always gorgeous food that full of flavor. The service is friendly and efficient. I am a huge fan of their Tom Ka Gai and Duck Pad Prik King. It's my favourite Thai in Brisbane - take away or dine in
Urbanchowboy
Among Brisbane's best Thai. Recently re-visited here after an absence of some years - the food is still as tasty as I had remembered it, service is friendly, and meals were quick to appear even during a busy service. Impressive consistency of flavours in all dishes we ordered.
Shaztina
Love this Place. Its not our most local Thai, but if we wanted to go out for Thai we would come her. Great food good value.
Premshankar Ramachandran
Me and my friends went to this place last week. The food was very nice. They have used authentic Thai ingredients in dishes. The satay chicken starters we ordered was really nice . Loved the rich peanut sauce. One dish my sister ordered was a bit off the taste we expected. But the ambience and seating of the restaurant beats it all. Interior decors and service was awesome. I also expected the deep fried snapper on their menu which they didnt have. Will dine in again.
Mark Tyse
Best Thai in Brisbane. We went there with four people on a Thursday night. The restaurant was full, the decor made me feel like being right in Thailand and all the food was amazing.<br/>YES this restaurant really is as good as everyone here says.
Satiety Society
Great food!. We've always enjoyed the food here. There are plenty of Thai restaurants in Brisbane but this one is worth the drive to the other side of town for us.
.iHo
A galaxy far far away.... I've eaten here a loooong time ago - from what I remember the food was pretty good, though I couldn't eat much as I was on a very tight budget at the time. The value might be ok... but I guess I will just have to go back out to get a proper feel for it (damn it!). <br/><br/>If you're reading this Ella & Belinda: HINT HINT! Lol

Very good food, fast service, reasonably priced. My second favourite Thai place is Brisbane after Thai Ayuthaya in Kelvin Grove
Sara
Don't like !!!. Don't dine here. The food was terrible, the service was slow. Tried to complain but the staff simply weren't interested.
Julie
Great food and service and a really reasonable price. I highly recommend anything with fish. We ordered two different fish dishes and they were both delicious.
Anonymoose
Very good.... ...but was expecting more based on some reviews. Good in all aspects from service to the food itself - but not mindblowingly so. That aside, it's an excellent neighbourhood restaurant that I'll definitely be going back to.
Dightster
Disregard the Brisbane Times rating. What's the point of having an Oct-07 report from a journo who talks up the restaurants desirable points only to give it a "D" rating ?? This is BNE's best Thai restaurant year-in-year-out, period.
Kessler
Best Thai food in brisbane but it is getting pricey. Manager was great as she gave us a discount for leaving early on a busy Saturday night.
Christine Lane
Would go back again and again and again it is beautiful both atmosphere and food
Jen
Best Thai in Brissie. I've been getting take out from here fairly often lately as though it's not the closest Thai restaurant to where I live, it's certainly the best! I don't think it's a stretch to say it's the best Thai food in Brisbane - it really is that good (and I've tried plenty of places). I've never been disappointed and when we pick the food up, there's always lots of other people doing the same and the restaurant is always packed. One of these days I'll have to go in for a proper meal there! Huge thumbs up if you love thai food.
Chris Barnes
Great service, excellent meals and reasonable prices
Jazc
Cute decor and great waitstaff. food-wise, slightly better than average but not impressive. some dishes can be very, very, very sweet when the tradition and taste don't require them to be.

Best in Brisbane?. I'm going to suggest My Thai is Brisbane's best Thai restaurant. The decor is classy and authentic. The food is spectacular and delicious and the staff are cheery enough to make a dine in trip enjoyable.

My Thai Restaurant has been in Brisbane for over 20 years with head chef and owner Busara leading its direction. You can eat your way through Thailand with traditional dishes such as Tom Yum soup, green and red curry and Pad Thai as well as prawn, barramundi and duck dishes.

The chicken satay was really tender and soft; they were definitely grilled and not cooked using the traditional way which is over the charcoal. In comparison to the peanut sauce I had back in Malaysia which is usually crunchy with bits of peanuts, this one was smooth and creamy. The flavour was all right but really, you can't compare to the ones back home. :)
Dolce Bunnie
As usual, I found the other travel bunnie's duck dish extremely tasty and bursting with flavour. We finished our meal with a dessert of black sticky rice with ice cream ($7.90). I think My Thai is slightly overpriced but the food is nevertheless tasty.

I was quite impressed with the Red Duck Curry because for one, it must have been the first time that I have seen so many duck slices in one portion. Thai food has never been a cuisine that focuses on huge portions and I must applaud that for the AUD25 we paid, we got our worth. Flavourwise, this was slightly too creamy.
MEL: HOT OR NOT
With a Thai restaurant on pretty much every corner in Brisbane these days it's never hard to kill that craving for a red curry or some fish cakes - but in my humble opinion, the odds of finding one that does them right, are pretty slim. I was tasked with
