Came here for takeaway order on the weekend. Staffs were really busy but still very helpful and friendly. We ordered tom yum soup and chicken cashew nut stir fry. Food were really yummy just as we were dining in.
July 2020. Rated 4.5. Went here for weeknight dinner with the family, following a prior reservation by phoning the restaurant. As well as the main menus, we had also asked for the special 'Thai menu', which included a few additional Thai specialties.
We shared the Kui Chai Tod (pan fried chive pancakes; very delicious), Fried Whole Fish (deliciously tasty with good spice), Ginger Beef (tender beef), Spicy Chicken (as name suggests) and the Red Curry Chicken (mild, sweet coconut flavour). Rice is additional.
BYO available with corkage fee, otherwise there is a generous list of alcohol and non-alcoholic beverages.
Very generous servings. Takeaway containers are 50 cents each.
Friendly and efficient service. Casual ambience with limited indoor and mostly outdoor seating - could improve by investing in outdoor heaters for these cooler nights. Reasonable prices.
Overall, a great dining experience for authentic yet refined Thai cuisine.
If it's possible to check out all Thai spots in Brissy while I'm living here, I'll do! Actually, all restaurant has its strengths, and this restaurant as well. Many dishes that are rare to find are here for you. You might forget the simple menu that is easily seen in public, such as Padthai, Stir-fry Basil, and etc. The thing is, don't forget to ask for the Thai version of the menu if you're keen to try rare recipes.
I’m sure many of you would be familiar of this famous Thai Restaurant that I would be sharing about today. But what most of you might not know is that, they actually have two different sets of menu! They would usually hand out a standard menu to everyone unless you specifically ask them for the “Very Thai Menu”. We got this tip from Jacky’s Thai colleague at work!
Fantastic food. I had the seafood laksa. Unlike many other Laksas I’ve had elsewhere it wasn’t too full of noodles. It was full of delicious seafood and vegetables and had a delicious but fairly safe broth. It certainly wasn’t super spicy or complex in terms of flavours but it was very nice. The decor is lovely and the staff are friendly. My only complaint was the number of flies that were at our table while we were eating.
Great find in the suburbs!
IThe food & service has consistently been excellent. Staff are always very polite & smiling. Thai Naramit has a great atmosphere, reasonable prices & authentic, delicious Thai cuisine. Highly recommend!
Seriously good everything!! Delicious food, great atmosphere and amazing service. A little overpriced but the food defenitely delivered. Recommend getting the duck naramit and seafood pad Thai! We will defenitely be back!
This is a great local place for a Thai dinner. Staff extremely friendly, food above average and slightly above average prices. A good takeaway service also available and BYO is always a positive, especially as they’re right next to a decent bottle shop!
Honestly the best Thai place in Brisbane! We take all our friends there and continue to be impressed by the freshness and tastiness of the meals, the lovely service and the awesome venue. You can sit outside near the heaters and they even offer blankets if you’re cold. Highly recommend!
This place is a hidden gem. Prices are reasonable and food is very good quality (and quantity) with beautiful presentation. I tried the red bbq duck curry, the money bags, and the banana spring rolls. I strongly recommend you try the banana spring roll, this is served with ice cream, cream, lollies and some fruits prepared in a way that is a nice sensorial experience. I also enjoyed my curry very much. Service is great and staff is polite and helpful. I will come back!
Been here for a few times. The food is amazing and the service is always so friendly. It has become one of my favourite restaurant in Brisbane.
Good food. Great service. Will come back just for that. Best service I've had for as long as I can remember. Sum tom salad had great flavour and choo chee curry beef was very tender.
Being carnivores, we have had a little too much of meat the past days and was looking forward to having some greens and seafood. This hidden gem is a frequently visited by my brother and his family (as I was told) because of their good food. It was short drive from my brother's place and gamely went with them to try out their offerings.
The restaurant is a casual dining place; simple but clean and had a welcoming ambiance. We ordered a variety of dishes but what hit me on the spot was their soft shell crabs; it was delicate yet had that crunch which perfectly compliments it's excellently seasoned crabs, simply scrumptious 😋 I also love the beef salad which had a vinaigrette that gives an explosion of sour, sweet, spicy combo and just about the right tang. Actually, all other offerings we tried were good, including one deep fried pork cutlets that were off the menu. Prices were quite affordable too - value for money 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
Love the Thai fish cakes. The curry we got was delicious but sweet. I found the stir fried beef with vegetables could be improved. The broccoli and carrots were still raw and it has a strange 'gas' taste. The beef was tasty but felt something was strange with the texture. Overall it was okay, prob better than other Thai restaurants around the area.
My Italian dining partner Dom recommended Thai Naramit for lunch. It's a 5 minute drive from Racecourse Rd with ample parking in the carpark behind the restaurant. I was surprised at how cosy and tiny this quaint restaurant was inside. Looking out I could see a substantial number of tables set for al fresco dining.
The friendly waitress shows us to our table then delivers iced water and the menus shortly after. Wanting a light lunch we decide on coconut prawns, chicken satay, beef pad Thai and chicken pad Thai. Dom recommends the Thai papaya salad, whole fried barramundi and soft shelled crab for dinner. I make a mental note to book for a table inside on my next visit for dinner. My family would like the decor and cool air conditioning.
Our entrees arrived after 20 minutes. The prawns and satay chicken were piping hot and delicious. On seeing we had finished the entrees the waitress informed the chef to prepare our pad Thai.
I appreciate this show of professionalism. Many Oriental chefs would simply complete our order and our small table would be loaded up with food which are fast turning cold. My chicken pad Thai was nice, perhaps a bit too sweet, but I enjoyed it. Dom tried but was unable to finish his noodles.
I rate this lunch on what we ordered today at 3.5. The decor and good service pushes the rating up to 4.0. The main courses for dinner look more interesting. I would like to try Dom's recommendations together with some curries on our next visit.
Really enjoyed the food here! Yum. Easily the best Thai we've had on the Northside. Beautiful presentation, particularly the dessert. Staff were very sweet and welcoming. We would definitely go back next time we need a Thai fix!
They've done a fantastic job in re-decorating and renovating the space from the old Thai restaurant. They're so friendly. Fantastic atmosphere. I've never had a bad meal here and the crispy basil prawns, curry puffs and golden bags are my favourite on the menu. I think I just lacks oomph in a lot of the meals. I kind of liked the authenticity and flavours of the old Thai restaurant that was there better but I do like the atmosphere of this one far more. It's just same old same old Thai dishes offered every where else and I wish they offered something a little more wow to match the interior. Again, never had a bad meal, but it's not the best Thai food and it just lacks that little bit of BOOM in their flavours
The look of the restaurant from the street wowed me! It was cosy, charming and welcoming. The interior decors were fabulous. We really enjoyed our dinner there; an authentic papaya and rice noodle salad, a delish steamed barramundi with lemon and chilli, an amazing stir fry gailan with crispy pork and wicked soft shell crabs!!! The food might be a little pricey, but maybe worth it:)
Went here on a friends recommendation. Bit out of the way for us but definitely worth the trip. Beautiful restaurant especially inside. Started with ginger jasmine tea. Not really a tea drinker but really good on a winter night. Food was exceptional, really well presented and on point. Stand out was the fish with curry, loved how the fish was prepared off the bone. And to finish with the home made coconut ice cream was just brilliant. Service was great. I would recommend this place to anyone if your in the area. Just fantastic Thai food. Thanks for having us.
absoloutley gorgeous thai food in a gorgeous colourful restaurant! have been going here for years and never had such tasty beautiful thai food. love their fried rice, pad thai and coconut rice!
Pretty decent. The yellow chicken and massaman beef curries were both delicious in terms of flavour and the meat was cooked well, but the sauces were both very soupy and onions undercooked. Aside from 1 or 2 chunks of potato, there wasn't much to them so weren't really anything special. I wasn't a fan of beef in the curry puffs but that's just personal preference and the pastry was good, albeit served with what seemed to just be a cucumber water dipping sauce. Not the best Thai in the area, but worth another try to see if we just had an off night.
Excellent food and very friendly service. This little place is the one that you can taste real Thai food without traveling to the country. 👍
After reading so many great reviews on this place I couldn't help but give it a try over my other local Thai place just for a little change. I was not disappointed, the food and service was amazing! The prices were very reasonable, I will be back, probably even make this my new local Thai restaurant.

Fantastic little Thai Restaurant. On my quest to find the best local Thai, I seen the great reviews this place had so I thought I would give it a go. Let me just say this place did not disappoint!
I ordered the curry puffs and these were beautiful, just like they were homemade (as the menu said) the pastry was fresh and crunchy and the filling was very tasty.
The curries had so much authenticity about them, they didn't taste like a pre made sauce like most restaurants do these days.
I also ordered a green Paw Paw salad, although I thought that the price was a little steep at $15 it was very delicious, fresh and packed a punch of authentic Thai flavours.
Definitely found my new local Thai restaurant! Will be back
Awesome food and service. Best Thai this side of town!! Would highly recommend. Cute place to dine in or take away. Bit more expensive than other Thai places but it's worth it.
Excellent Thai at reasonable prices. After reading the reviews for Thai Naramit on this website we decided to try it before a concert at the entertainment centre last night. We were not disappointed. Great food at very reasonable prices, and in a lovely atmosphere. The service was prompt and polite, and the whole experience could not be faulted. I wish we lived closer, but I do think we'll make the trip all the way from the other side of town for such lovely food. It is a standout.
Top food and service. We are locals who regularly go to Siam Sensations (great!) in Nundah. Went here for something different, always drive past and its busy plus positive reviews. Was not disappointed! Genuine friendly quick service + top tasting meals = big win in my books. We shared money bags as an entree. Wife had some sort of chicken stir fry, I had chilli crispy prawns. Delicious! Would've loved dessert but too full. Prices are spot on and this place is BYO! No hesitation in recommending this place to others, we will be back. Make a reservation if you are going to dine in.
Worth a visit for the duck!. So myself, spouse and sis-in-law attended last Friday night for a quickie, and came away happy but certainly not stupefied in awe of the chef. This is a homely and seemingly popular suburban venue, which claims to serve authentic Thai cuisine. The service was excellent, and the staff's guestimate of 20 minutes prep was slashed by some 12 minutes when the first few dishes came out in record time. The servings were generous, and the meals generally tasty and of good quality. However, for someone currently immersed in Thai cuisine, the dishes seemed dumbed down to attune to a western palate, and this was disappointing. The standout dish of the night was the Duck Naramit, a generous roasted half-bird in a delicious sauce and vegetable accompaniment which I did my best to keep to myself. If you're northside, well worth a visit.
Love it!. Enjoy dinner last Saturday with my spouse. Duck Naramit is the best! Restaurant decor is famtastic! like artificial green grass area..give us a feeling of dining in backyard.
Very good. This place is fantastic. I have been going there with my family for a while now and every time I am impressed. They underwent a refurb a couple of years ago and it makes the atmosphere really comfortable. Not only that but it is cheap, excellent food that always hit's the spot. I'm going back to this place for, hopefully, many years to come!
Excellent local for us. Their Duck Naramit is delicious - crispy boneless roast duck with a tangy sweet sauce and crisp vegetables. Love their Pad Siew as well. Recommend.
Dinner. We found this restaurant accidentaly on the way to Racecourse Road. I had vegetable and tofu yellow curry, tofu was so tiny then I was disappointed. However curry was so good! Good atmosphere and service.
This is a wonderful and authentic restaurant for delicious Thai food!! I highly recommend it and truly want to give a shout out to all the hard working staff - Veronica and Boom alongside with the owner herself - to name a few. I definitely recommend trying the deep fried tofu with the Pad Thai and the desserts (especially the mango rice and deep fried ice cream) which are to die for! I wanted to say thank you to the team for such a wonderful experience every time I come there!
Authentic Thai with this workers. You see Thai customers here so it must be good. Will give this place a few more tries as we only had a small lunch here. Meal was fresh and tasty. Thai ice mill coffee had a funky orange colour.
We purchased food for take away and after driving home we opened the bag to what seemed like half a container of rice ($5 for sticky rice). We had to cook more rice at home as there was like 3 times the amount of curry than there was rice. Everything else was delicious, great curry and pad Thai, however only giving 4 stars because the rice was extremely underwhelming.. Also it was a 45 min wait however it was very busy (6:30pm on a Sunday night) so understandable. Staff were all super polite and helpful even though they were rushed off their feet.
The flavors are awesome and the wok dishes have a great spicy kick to them. I have had many takeaways from here and my only criticism is the green beans are always under-cooked, almost raw and hard, I toss them out. Apart from that, fantastic.

A local family favourite!
The best authentic Thai food, great interior design and most welcoming, friendly staff.
Highly recommend for every occasion! Birthdays, Work parties, Family gatherings, Friends reunion, etc..
Thai Naramit is undoubtedly the best Thai restaurant in Brisbane! (Chefs kiss🤌🏽)
My family and I have been going here for 5 years. We’ve celebrated almost every special occasion here from birthdays, anniversaries to high school graduations because the place ALWAYS goes ABOVE AND BEYOND. Not only is the food exquisite (The most flavourful Thai food we’ve ever had.. even recommended by the Thai community) but the staff also know how to bring it on. For my 17th birthday my parents took me to Thai naramit to celebrate. Honestly, I was just expecting the casual delicious meal but NO! To my overjoyed surprise they brought balloons, (when we ordered dessert) they brought out the mango sticky rice with candles and birthday signs; the lovely staff SERENADED us with their beautiful ‘happy birthday’ singing voices! The whole restaurant ended up joining in the serenade.. even the manager and owner!! WAY TO MAKE YOU FEEL SPECIAL! The staff are so lovely and considerate. They do this out of good service! When I asked my parents if they had anything to do with it they said they didn’t know they would do this.
I see them doing this for many of their customers birthday celebration!! So if you want great food and lovely service to treat your special occasion, THAI NARAMIT is definitely the way to go!! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Well done 👍🏽 Forever a fan of this lovely family of a restaurant.
Always a local fav! The food is super delicious and it’s always a beautiful ambience with the fairy lights and Thai authenticity.
We had the fish cakes, fried wontons, chicken larb salad and the chefs special duck! All made fresh and full of flavour. I also tried the lychee martini 👌🏾👌🏾
We love thai food!! and by far this is the best restaurant we’ve been to! 😊 we order Moo Yang bbq, beef Mussaman, fried rice and pad thai although a little busy we were able to get a table quickly.
