Nearing perfection the food was delicious and well balanced the friendly staff knew the menu and also gave us time to decide but where never far, nice presentation of food I had the sirloin(I never get the sirloin because I'm not a big fan of this cut) because it sounded nice and it was, also the duck entre witch was great if I was to fault this place it be on the lighting it was a tad dark the other was the knife and bowl combination used for the steak dish you could not rest the knife without it falling in the dish I would definitely recommend this place and will definitely return. Thank you
Five star food five star staff five star venue, highly recommend the Wolfe, everyone should try it
Since the restriction from pandemic, it was the first time to have such a nice fine dining dinner on last Saturday night.
Booked for the restaurant “The Wolfe”, which is under the management of the previous executive chef of the GOMA restaurant - Josue Lopez. He is the one who turned GOMA from zero to a two hatted restaurant.
It was a very decent dining experience, which took 3 hours to finish the culinary journey. No matter it was the amuse bouche of pork in trio, the black mussel with spanner crab, the surprising inspirational cauliflower or the Wagyu steak, dishes were all fully completed to a nice full stop by the sensational dessert.
It is speechless of how we like to compliment the whole team of the food and service that they did.
Honestly, highly recommended.

June 2020. Made a weeknight dinner reservation for two for the 'Artist Degustation (ft. Elizabeth Willing)' at $175pp. Wine pairing available for an additional $100.
The degustation included a starter of warm bread and butter, followed by nine courses of artistic fine dining.
Without giving away too much, the courses were innovative and impeccable in terms of flavours, textures and technique. Each dish had a unique story behind it and created interesting topics of conversation. With dishes such as 'tipping plate and bell spoons' and 'beeswax bowl', all of our senses were postively provoked in a whimsical and fun manner.
Smart-casual ambience, perfect for special occasions. Friendly and efficient service. Prices reflective of fine-dining but well-worth it.
Overall, an amazing EXPERIENCE all-round. Highly recommend for special occasions.
The food blew my brain and sensory receptors. Creative to the max, unpredictable and deeply satisfying, the menu was outstanding, the service so generous, sophisticated and playful and the artwork sublime. My hat off to chef, team of artists and divine surprise at the finale. Please go. Brisbane needs this restaurant.
Have been meaning to check out the Wolfe for some time and was not disappointed. Without being cliche’d, has everything you expect and want from a cosy neighbourhood bistro. Beautiful food, friendly and attentive service and welcoming atmosphere. Will be back for sure.
What a delightful Brisbane restaurant - typically South Brisbane in presentation, but with an air of sophistication. We ventured into the tasting menu with matching wines and were simply surprised and pleased at every step - service was attentive, happy and informed. The atmosphere is relaxed in such a small space and the table layout allows for plenty of room by limiting the numbers inside - there is an outside area which may be more attractive in the warmer months but it is also on the way to the toilet so there would be plenty of walk by traffic. Everything served was enjoyable from the delightfully fresh oysters to the genuinely tender pork belly (hard to find). The range and variety in matching wines reflects on what is very likely an excellent wine cellar.
Came here for a birthday. Best restaurant in Brisbane- the Wagyu is so good! Also the mash potato with blue cheese 👌 Flavours are seasonal so I think they change the menu up. Quite dark inside so I think it's more for intimate chats rather than big groups.
A last minute birthday dinner booking but I was blown away by how good this place is.
The service is polite and professional and relaxed - always there when you need them and helpful with questions but otherwise unobtrusive.
We had the pork belly and scallops entrees, and wagyu and duck mains - all really good, interesting flavours, and just the right portions so you're not left feeling too full and slightly regretful. The aerated chocolate dessert was also delicious, especially the lavender ice-cream.
The room is nicely dark and intimate - possibly a bit masculine in decor but an elegant, heritage-sort of feel. Given it was BYO night the price was especially reasonable. I am actually excited about going back!
Beautiful little restaurant in the Gabba. Lovely service and vibe. Dishes were a little experimental but all in all had a really nice evening.
Went here for dinner, everything was sublime. From the snails in pork dashi, the oysters with a creamy ought fish foam, the impressive onyx steak, succulent duck and a prawn roulade to die for, attentive, knowledgeable and friendly staff, everything was perfect. They allow BYO wine on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, which was an excellent opportunity for us to bring some of our special wines. cannot fault a single thing about this place. Will definitely be back!
After 25 ish years in the industry, I've become quite picky. After 25 minutes at The Wolfe, I've never been more satisfied. The friendly face at the front door, casual yet attentive and polite service and the fantastic food with a superbly matched wine list took me straight to my happy place. The food is a wonderful compromise between inventive and traditional. The wine list is a great example of regionality and has enough depth to be an adventure. Please stay away, I want to keep this little gem all to myself.
Came here for the first time, ordered the tasting menu. Said I only want 2 glasses of wine, 1 white and 1 red. The friendly waitress recommended I could try 2 half glass of white and red so I can try more. And she will pair the wine for me. So nice.
Food wise, it is pretty delicious overall. Portion size is pretty generous. However, IMO some elements on the plate doesn’t quite work. There were way too much crispy rosemary on the lovely cod. The cream is overpowered the flavour of the beef fillet. The dish they need to put more work on is the dessert. The caramel ice cream is very strong, same as the chocolate mousse. Need some lighter and/or acidic elements to cut through the richness.
To compare, another fine dinning restaurant in the city does a better job when marrying all the elements on the plate. Don’t get me wrong, the food are very tasty and probably I’m just very picky. I will come back and give it another try.
Of the hatted restaurants in Brisbane, The Wolfe is by far my favourite. (5star food, service, decor and price)
Atmospherically, the restaurant strikes a soothing balance of familial and contempory flourish. Krystal reminded me how pleasant and personal dining can be, while upholding the core tenants of a high-class experience.
Date night was a smash hit with their five course set menu. Presentation was phenomenal. The flavours themselves were absurdly good. We both left feeling full, a rarity with meals of this caliber.
All of the above coupled with the locally sourced and left of field ingredients deftly dressed in nuanced flavours, I don't think there's an occasion or event or date night or treat yoself meal that doesn't deserve The Wolfe.
And I broke out the thesaurus because thats how good this meal was uwu
We had a fantastic Degustation dinner with a selection of amazing meals! The service was top and we were greeted by the chef himself to find out how we liked our dinner. Very cosy but beautiful restaurant with a great choice of decor. Suitable for a special occasions.
Is this Brisbane's finest restaurant, hard to find better. Its the only desgustation menu that I have experienced that was faultless. The presentation and taste were impeccible - it was hard to choose a favourite. It is a lovely space to eat in and even the artwork has been customised for the space. I wouldnt do the meals desxrption justice attempting to describe so look at the website. Even the plates were fantastic AMAZING
Exquisite! Intimate modern decor with exceptional service. Wonderful pairing of food and wine. Creative and delicious menu.
Incredible food and service. We were seated outside in the courtyard but weren't forgotten. Lots of gluten free options even on taster menu. Menu changes frequently!
Nice place for a romantic dinner. A bit expensive for what you have in the plate (quantity speaking), and seafood was overcooked for us. But the overall experience was great
