Everytime I come to Qld this is on our places to eat. If you want your steak well done then you actually get it well done. And the meat still melts in your mouth. Complements to the Chef. All the wait staff are excellent, efficient and friendly. I highly recommend Belvedere to anyone after a great meal at great value

The food and service here was absolutely fantastic. The staff were so welcoming and accomodating for our group, including two young boys who were set up with colouring in pages and pencils. Definitely would come here again! Cocktails were fantastic and the ribs were the best I've ever had!

I had lunch there last Sunday with my partner. We shared the 1kg Rack of lamb. It was as they say "to die for" Had dessert, coffee and a wonderful bottle of wine. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Cost certainly NOT exhorbitant by any means. Will definitely go back again.

Came here for a quick dinner with my wife on a night out. The food was very good. Eye fillet cooked med rare as asked, my wife had the salmon salad and it was great.

Love eating out here, you have the view, friendly staff and the owner is always there is there is a problem, but have never had a bad meal. Yes sometimes there are ships in, it’s never ruined our night. You there to enjoy the company of your friend and family.
Ok awesome! From the minute our group walked in “table of 6” we were welcomed, like one of those old Italian restaurants, remember when the husband and wife ran the place and treated you like family.
Drinks came immediately. Then the normal discussion began. Who wants what? What do you feel like?
Like a well organised professional, the host asked if he could take the lead in our meal choices.
After a few smug looks at each other, it was his to take the lead in our meal.
Wow we were amazed from start to finish. Beautiful meat cooked to perfection. Starters and sides that tempted the taste buds to go back for more.
I loved this experience especially when everyone seemed to get a little of everything they wanted.
My only down point which is almost nit picking, it was a hot day and being a semi open restaurant it was rather warm inside with only ceiling fans for respite.
Really the food spoke for itself and it left every one to enjoy the afternoon.
I really loved the interior of this restaurant, open but homey, fancy but cosy. The pasta was very nicely done, flavoured spot on and very generous with the crab meat. The lamb share plate was nice and filling but nothing very special. Also tried the baked oysters and soup of the day, hearty and yummy but it’s something you could cook up quickly at home as well. Nice place to relax and enjoy a ‘homey’ lunch or dinner.
We came here looking for some good steak and succeeded when ordering tje 1kg wagyu rump. The marbling score was aroumd 3-4 which was visible with every cut. At most this was a great steak, some chewy bits in there but a 5%. The service here is always good and the aptmosphere 👌.
The dessert tasting plate was nice and balance between sweetness and tang from the sorbet, nutty pudding and creamy pannacotta. Paired with coffee/tea was great.
The only downside was noise coming from the ship that was parking right in front of our seats and my husband's cup that has a lipstick mark on it, but it was quickly replaced with a new one.
Great Service and reasonable pricing, Recommend the Mixed Grill but our group of four all enjoyed their meals. Meals arent large but certainly great quality!

My boyfriend and I came for dinner here one night after a couple of drinks while it wasn't all that busy. The service was fantastic and the food was unbelievable. My partner got a mixed grill which was $39 and although you didnt get alot on your plate (which we were expecting) the food that was there was delious. I got the short pasta with tomato and meatball sauce. I personally thought the meatballs were cooked perfectly and sauce was sensational. We will definitely be returning!
Wanting to dine at a Modern Australian restaurant with views of the river, head over to Portside Wharf and you could find yourself sitting here at Belvedere. An environment perfect for a date, a birthday party or just simply a gathering with a variety of dishes offered on their menu ranging from cold entrees to pasta or if you feel like mixed grill or even seafood or steak, Belvedere's menu will suit any tastebuds. What intrigued me about the restaurant would be first, the glass display in front of the restaurant showing dry aged beef. Although I have always been a regular at Portside dining here and there, I never gave myself the time to try it here and so since we wanted to try somewhere new, we figured that here would be a good choice for a date night.
Love the location here. The staff have amazing accents which may explain why all of our steaks, even though we wanted them all cooked a different way, all came out together looking the same. Mine was a little under for my liking but would have it been cooked as per my request it would have been one of the best I've ever had. Not badly priced for Hamilton although you do not get any salad or veges with your steak and it only comes with steak fries - No other options are available.
We came in expecting bar food, to find a small diverse menu. Awesome layout and friendly staff, we had a French waitress who was attentive and friendly. We ordered rare pasture fed steak and it was amazing. Maybe a tad expensive but that is ascot/portside for you. Will definetly go there again for special occasions as the price is quite high. But otherwise way better value than the Italian restaurant across which I would never eat at again.
Stopped in for a drink before dinner. Service was fast and friendly although the bar staff asked what I wanted and went off and made it without asking my partner for his order which I thought was a bit odd. My drink came back quickly and we both soon had our orders. No one here seemed to be ordering food but it's certainly a nice place for drink before moving on elsewhere

A good experience. Overall the food was well prepared and the service attentive. This was a weekend lunch and there were few people there - surprising seeing there was a boat in at the time. Not sure how it would be if it was packed. I'd go back.

Great drinks - fantastic live music. I went to Belvedere with a few friends last Sunday, i was pleasantly surprised to see that there was a jazz trio playing. The music was great, a mixed repertoire of Brazilian Bossa Nova, Jazz, and French songs, quite different from the usual offering. We had some amazing cocktails, just the perfect atmosphere for a sunday afternoon! We shall definitely go back as the live music is now on every Sunday now!

I celebrated my 26th birthday at Belvedere with 20 of my closest friends and the night was such a success thanks to the amazing staff who helped me plan it. The service was great, the canapés were to-die-for but the best part was the location and the ambiance, you really couldn't get better. All in all a great experience.

Brilliant!! We went on Fri night & were greeted & seated @ our table, fabric servietted were placed by the waiter on our laps. The pork belly entree was devine! As were all our entree's. we had the Chateubriand (hope I spelt that right) it was cooked to perfection & the flavours were a party in our mouths. Every second at this place was enjoyable. Not the place to go for a cheap feed but worth every penny. 4 people had entree,main & 1 drink each..the bill was $270. We were more than happy as the meals did not disappoint. We will go again.
A lovely lunch..... I was a guest celebrating a special occasion with friends. The service we received was excellent, friendly and efficient. I enjoyed the menu items I chose, Caesar Salad followed by steak with roast potatoes. Dishes of beautifully seasoned vegetables were set out on the table, along with dishes of roast potatoes. The flavours were wonderful. The meal was great value for money, as we were offered champagne on arrival, followed by wine offered throughout the meal, plus still or sparkling water. At the end of the meal, along with tea or coffee, platters of complimentary hand made sweets were offered, and they were wonderful! All this for around $55. The owner or manager was on hand, and
obviously takes pride in what he and his team do. I would definitely recommend and would return.
Yes Yes Yes!!!. Cannot praise the food, service and ambience enough. Eating out three times a week sometimes more you get to know what good food and service is all about and unfortunately not all restaurants live us to your expectations. However this restaurant exceeds those expectations. Nothing is too much trouble and the quality checks by the owner when food leaves the kitchen is amazing. The soft shell crab just melted in our mouth and the steaks and ribs were just so tender and tasty. Yes, it is not cheap but if you are a food expert you will not be disappointed. Can't wait until we come back.

Best. Place. Ever!. This place was absolutely fantastic and I can't wait to go back again! Despite the rain we decided to go out tonight and didn't expect to see it so busy with that much rain, I know it is Friday though. Anyway we dined there and the food was amazing - good sized portions, complementing flavours, ahhh I don't know how to describe it except to say its been my most memorable food ever. I was in heaven.
I eat out a lot (approx 3 nights a week) at everywhere from the cheap Thai places to pubs with their big steaks, to the fine dining restaurants with their tasty but tiny portions.
We had the garlic prawns, scallops and the ciabata bread as entree. Both were fantastic, the bread was soft, fresh, warm, and tasty.
Mains we had the dry aged rib on the bone and the curry baramundi - both were seriously the best!
The service was prompt, efficient, and friendly without being intrusive. The operations are ran with precision by the manager who loves to have a chat and comes to check regularly one everyone. Now for me that's service.
They have plenty of wines to choose from, but I didn't drink.
A lot of comfort foods that'll be sure to fill you up. I loved how the food was amazing while the portion size was generous.

Everything is just right. Why wasn't this place busier on a Thursday night? We went there at 7.30 and only 6 tables ended up being occupied.
The service was friendly and attentive and the decor is tasteful, and the warm welcoming by the young and handsome Cosimo puts you in the mood as soon as you walk in. The music played that night really matched the atmosphere. The food is absolutely gorgeous. The dry aged beef and snapper were cooked to perfection and the pepper and bearnese sauce home made with great flavours and we were served "fat" chips and not just chips. The creme brulee was great and so was hubby's lemon tart.
Sometimes you sit in a restaurant and it just feels right. You leave the place feeling happy and content. A great night out and we will certainly be back. We need more venues like this in Brisbane. Thank you to the young owner and his staff, wishing them success.
A intimate meal at an exclusive location.
My partner and i booked a table for 6:30 on a friday night, as we entered we were quickly greeted by the owner Cosimo. He showed us to our table which over looked the Brisbane river. I asked the waitress her recommendation for a sweet beer, she told me the belle vue kreik was popular and soon i knew why! With a sweet rasberry flavour it was the perfect drink for a perfect evening. I ordered the mouth watering roasted bone marrow as entree and the cape grim eye fillet. As we received the mains Cosimo equired about our meal so far, we were very pleased. The cape grim steak melted as it touched my palate and it was quickly devoured washed back of course with the belle vue kreiek. We were both impressed with such a personal service at such a busy time. The staff were always helpful and we didnt wait too long for our meal. Top marks Belvedere for a wonderful evening.

After raving on about this place to colleagues, they suggested i could send my thanks by leaving a review on this site.. so here goes..
After only planning the babysitter, my wife and I came to belvedere on NYE without booking, and despite a VERY full restaurant we were welcomed into the bar as soon as we approached the entrance by a very friendly tall barman & lady (manager?) who seated us.
We we're quickly made to forget that we left our plans to the last minute and had a fantastic night away from the kids!
The band played a great selection of current songs, and the cocktails that were recomended were too tasty! One was not enough! The view of the fireworks was great- but the show shorter than expected..
We will definitely be booking a table for the family next year!
If you are looking for friendly attentive service you will find it here! Nothing was too much trouble for the staff working in the front bar. I look forward to coming back for dinner in the restaurant, and more of those yummo cocktails!

I disagree with Tarryn ..... I have visited Belvedere a number of times and have had great service from the bar staff, they know my name and
, my drink and because of the warm friendly service is why I keep coming back. I would like to say a special thanks to the lady behind the bar as I bought friends with me to Belvedere on my last visit and she did not disappoint !!!! I would recommend Belvedere to any one and I would defiantly be back.
Beautifull food, great service.. We found this establishment late in our visit - wished we had found it earlier. The menu is not too ambitious allowing the full creativity of the chefs to be applied to providing succulent and tasty dishes to be savoured. The service was very friendly and attentive. We will have no hesitation in revisiting when we travel to Brisbane in the future - well done...
Great function venue. We had our Christmas party at Belvedere Bar and Grill, each and everyone of us had a great time.
The Plumm room was a great space and the room set up was beautiful.
The food was 1st class and the meal sizes were large and tasted fantastic. The wait staff where wonderful and made sure that the everyone had drinks, I have never had better service at a function.
Cosimo was a great host and went out of his way to make sure we were happy.
I would highly recommend either dining or having a function at Belvedere.
Ribs,Ribs, Ribs.. Wow is all I can say about this new addition to portside wharf. I heard about this place through a friend and was I impressed. Went there with some of the boys from work for our usual friday afternoon drinks and dinner. Everyone had the ribs, which was recommended to us by the lovely smiling waitress. They were so tender and delious that they were falling off the bone a nice change to some of the quality we have had around brisbane. We will be making this our regular friday meeting point . Thanks alot Belvedere for this pleasurable dining experience.

thank you for your feedback , but I would appreciate more honesty from you , If you had spent $ 3000.00 in my restaurant you would had been very full from over-eating or very happy from over-drinking (which would not had have happened) .The average spending in my restaurant is around $ 55.00 per person for food only. Are you sure that you were at Belvedere bar & grill at portside ???

First Class Dining. Went for a going away dinner party. Was the best steak I have ever eaten. My 8 month old daughter joined us as the staff were so accommodating in every way to heating up bottles and supplying dishes for baby food.
The outdoor dining area was perfect for a warm spring night, The wait times were sufficient worth the wait however. You must not pass up dessert as it whatever you have will just melt in your mouth.
All round it was an absolutely fantastic night, will definitely make it a regular eating place.
Great atmosphere and amazing food! I didn't even need my steak knife - the meat was falling off the bone and the zucchini flowers were so flavoursome! I'll definitely be back.
Classy Restaurant for Classy Portside Wharf. I subscribed to urbanspoon just to post this review. I have been to this restaurant several times and every time it has exceeded my expectations! I ́s a perfectly classy restaurant in a modern and trendy area. Every time that I go there the staff are always smiling and attentive. I was there on Saturday and I followed their reccomendations- I had an entree of the oysters from Coffin Bay and as a main I had the dry aged beef. Everything was so genuine and you could really taste and appreciate the high quality of the products. It ́s just newly opened but in my opinion it promises to be a top steakhouse in Brisbane...finally.
Great Brisbane Summer Lunch Place. Really enjoyed the service, taste sensational menu, great ambience. We went through as many menu items as we could and we'll be back for more. Really enjoyed the Belvedere. I will be taking my premium clients here again! Good job guys.

GREAT PLACE!. Recently dined at Belvedere Bar & Grill when up in Brisbane. It was recommended to me by friends and it didn't dissapoint.
We were really impressed by the service and the stunning new fitout. The BAR was a particular standout.
I ordered the grain fed t-bone steak and it was cooked to perfection. Our table finished up in the bar, where the belvedere espresso martini was definitely a favourite. There was also a good selection of wines by the glass.

Perfectly cooked steak. Ordered a rump cap medium rare with Bernaise and Porcini sauce on the side. The steak itself was cooked to absolute perfection but the Bernaise was a little curdled and unpleasant, Porcini delicious.
Service was friendly, helpful and for a newly opened restaurant very smooth. The rest of the table were very happy with their meals. I'm sure the Bernaise was a once off and I will be back again.
Top Notch!. I live in the building at Portside and have to say Belvedere is definitely a great inclusion to the already excellent array of dining venues here. The service from the moment you enter the door to the time you leave is spot on and the food is just sumptuous.
The great aspect is the different areas, both formal and casual, this place will be perfect in summer! I'm even coming back for after work drinks.
The entree's were so good that I didn't really care when my steak was rare instead of medium and they forgot my veggies. Was probably a bit overpriced though.

Really classy venue. I tried a few places in Brisbane whilst here for work, and i must say Belvedere Bar and Grill was a pleasant surprise.
From the moment you walk in, you know you are in a classy place with its contemporary furniture, which i found very comfortable; mix of polished wooden floorboards and marble floors; sophisticated lighting fixtures- they have this really cool chandelier!!; and the coup de grâce, this MASSIVE white front bar that lights up brightly with every classy drink available that i could think of. I thought such venues were reserved for Melbourne and Sydney haha!!
The steak i ordered, grain fed t-bone, was cooked to perfection. I also shared a serve of the ribs plate which was melt in the mouth bliss! If youve been to hurricanes in Sydney, this rivals it! :)
At the airport now, I will definitely come back here in a couple of months with my family. The wife wants to try it!! :)
As I trotted along the portside warf on my mighty stallion, I spotted belvedere bar and grill. This place intrigued me from the moment I spotted it, so I dismounted my stallion and made my way to the front gates. The service was amazing from the moment I strutted in. As I sat at my table I admired the atmosphere and waited to order, sooner then I could have imagined the waitress was at my side and taking my order. I ordered the famous Wagyu beef, it was at my table in a heart beat, and was even better then I could have imagined. As I left the staff wished me a good night and I couldn't have felt more welcome. I climbed back on to my mighty stallion and left with a smile on my face and knew that I needed to write a review so everyone could know just how great it was. AMAZING!
Went to belvedere the other night with my uni student friends and had a marvellous time!! OMG the ribs were amazing and the bar was a definate winner for me !!

Stunning in every way!. Hmmm - methinks Damo may be a sly competitor as I was there today and his review (funny, only 1!) bears absolutely no resemblance to anything I experienced. Ribs were lush melt-in-the-mouth slide-off-the bone, the portions were more than generous, the host totally charming, service friendl and attentive and, well, if he finds a stunning chandelier centrepiece made from champagne glasses and a sheer red chain curtain to cleverly divide bar and restaurant tacky, well, I'd love to see his view on what is stylish. Bravo Belvedere you are a fine addition to Portside!.
