Review Miss Claudes Crepes - Brisbane

Lucr Harumitsu
We had the dessert crepes on Tuesday after dinner. Everything was just the right sweetness. The apple & cinnamon crepes were really good with perfect crunch and texture. Red velvet shake was equally good. They were quite filling and none of us could finish them Expect a bit of a wait depending on how many crepes and which ones you get. Making the sauces took awhile but was definitely worth it They currently have a Tuesday 30% off deal which made it really good value. But even at other times it's good for the price

Wide selection of crepes both sweet & savoury. Tried banoffee crepes for dessert and it didn't disappoint, whipped cream with banana slices wrapped in thin crepe and topped with caramel sauce and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Also good coffee and friendly service to complement the crepes. Keen to try the savoury or a different sweet on next visit!

Went for dessert and wasn't disappointed by the selection of different sweet crepes available. Salted caramel thickshake is some of the thickest I've ever had - and not too sweet either. Crepes had a good texture to them and sauces complimented them well.

What a wonderful hidden gem restaurant i found it a little hard to find being new to newmarket shops. We went on a tuesday we got 30 percent off which was a nice suprise. The food was great very nice options from breakfast to dinner suitable for any time of day. The option to order at the counter or online was great it let's you be as flexible as you want the app was very customer oriented allowing you to order share plates and chosing if you want desserts to come with the main meals or after you have finished the main. I will certainly be coming back my only suggestions for the restaurant would be to reduce the seating outside it is too close to other customers and play more music play it louder found the ambiance great with the yellow lights but it was a bit quite inside to be fair when we came there was only a few customers it being a tuesday lunch. Thankyou for our wonderful experience very much enjoyed it.

So delicious! Second time here, will come again. Very delicious and very good coffee. Wish it was open a bit earlier (maybe at 8am) so I could take the kids before school.

I love crepes. I’ve been in this place for the first time and it has a good variety of toppings. We tried an Interesting combination with duck. It’s a good size of portion for breakfast or lunch. Coffee was good either

Food was great and there are so many choices. There is something there for everyone. Had the Peking duck crepe which was sensational, will go back to try one of the sweet ones. Staff seemed disengaged. Waited at the "please wait to be seated" sign for 10 minutes no one came to us, despite staff walking by us. In the end we just sat at a table and ordered online. Food took roughly 45 minutes to come out. But in fairness it was worth the wait. We will go back to try other items on the menu, but know not to expect much from the staff.

Miss Claudes Crepes are delectable. If you’re craving something savoury with sweet, I would recommend coming here. If you love nutella and salted caramel, try their crepes! I loved coming here for a late night dessert snack. • nutella combo 1 • salted caramel crepe • savoury peking duk crepe

Going to start off saying, Coomera store is way better!! Quality wise! I first attended this store and it was great. 2nd time round the crepes were completely stale and hard to chew.. When paying I had told the worker and they had apologised and offered me a discount which was great. 3rd time I attended Coomera and their crepes are definitely spot on each time I have been there. Will be returning to Coomera but not this store.

Terrific breakfast for a family. Attentive service without being overwhelming. Food well prepared and timely, covering a range of palates from vegetarian sweet to health-conscious savoury. Coffee well prepared and exactly the right temperature. Incredibly pleased with our experience will be here again soon.

Had a vegetarian Sunday lunch here around two months ago. The crepes were impressive. Savory crepe of veggie delight had lots of ingredients of baby spinaches and mushrooms. Rich cheese flavour with soft texture of the crepe won our appreciations. The sweet crepe of Banoffee was not bad too. Love the salted caramel mixed with the chocolate and banana. Fresh fruit with sweetness from the chocolate. 👍

The crepe itself wasn’t bad but the fillings weren’t great. Meat was dry and not much else other than that and the sauce. Only tried the savoury ones but it looked like the sweet crepes are better than the savoury.

After our fishy dinner at Sushi Edo, Paul Chan and I came here for dessert. Crepes! Seated next to the spotless open plan kitchen I see 10 crepe skillets on hotplates at the ready. Our coffees arrive, they could be hotter but the coffees are strong and flavoursome.

The Crêpe Suzette looks fabulous flambèed in Brandy and Grand Marnier, served with an Orange sauce, Strawberries, Orange slices and Ice cream. This Crêpe is the best I have had in years and it deserves a perfect 5

Went to Miss Claude's crepe cafe for breakfast over the weekend. It was my second visit. Meals are reasonably priced. Food is ok. My breakfast of Canadian crepes came with a few slices of banana. Would have liked some more. Their idea of crispy bacon leaves a lot to be desired. Not at all crispy! Crepes were thin and I loved the big bottle of maple syrup supplied. Attentive service. I will return.

A delicious breakfast gem in the area (though they seem to be busy well into the night as well)! Great not only for crepes but pancakes as well, both sweet and savoury varieties. Good food and good service

Miss Claude’s has been open for a while now in Newmarket Village. It’s set amongst a few other eateries, down a dark car park laneway. Hubby and I headed there soon after it opened, for a quick lunch. This place is cheap and cheerful rather than fancy French. The food is typical of Normandy apparently – folded crepes with a filling, rather than those square, buckwheat (and savoury) varieties you often see at markets.

I had a seafood mornay crepe ($16.50), filled with fish, prawns and scallops. It was cheesy so that’s good, but sadly, the whole thing was gluggy, and tasted of uncooked flour. Not a favourite. Hubby had Mexican Beef ($19), with beef, chilli, avocado, cheese, etc. He loved the chilli, and found the crepe thin and delicate.

I did however love my drink – the extreme toffee coffee frappé ($9 + $1 extra for cream). This was deliciously cold, with lots of toffee/coffee flavour. Hubby had a strawberry malted milkshake ($7), which was cold and tasty. I do think an extra dollar is a bit much for a bit of malt though.

Service was okay, and the waitress was a lovely girl. Water cups are red plastic! Cutlery is at the table, sitting inside a cup. The space is very brightly lit, so not much in the way of ambience. The kitchen is open, so you can watch the crepes being put together if you fancy.

I went with a friend again a few weeks later to have lunch. He chose the Veggie Delight crepe ($13) with added spring onions and jalapenos (each 50 cents). He devoured it very happily. I had Chicken Monte Carlo ($16), which is filled with chicken, cheese, avocado and caramelised onion. This was a really tasty dish (if a little sweet with the onion), cooked well, fresh and flavoursome.

Hubby and I also went there for dinner a few weeks after that! Chicken leek and mushroom ($16) was my pick, and the fella had chunky beef ragout ($17). Both of these were pleasant; well cooked, and flavourful. Not much more you can say really. We also had a takeaway one night, which included a Tour de France ($12). This is a dessert, which consists of 3 crepes – one with Nutella, one with chocolate ganache and one with salted caramel. These were a real hit, especially the Nutella for me! The takeaway was presented well, and was an appealing alternative to toast for dinner!

If you’re after a quick lunch or pre-movie feed, Miss Claude’s fits the bill. It’s casual, quick, cheap, with flavourful, filling food. Not really for date night though. Oh, and it’s fully licensed (not that I found that terribly obvious for some reason). They have vegan and gluten free options too; and it’s open 7 days a week.

A friend brought some crepes over for lunch and I was immediately impressed! We had the morning glory - poached egg, cheese, avocado, cherry tomato, baby spinach and ham which was my favourite savoury crepe. There were plenty of fillings and everything tasted delicious. We also shared the pulled pork which was really tasty although I think the morning glory had a bit more freshness to it. To finish, we split the healthy start crepe – greek yogurt, granola, honey, strawberries and banana. My favourite of all that we tried, it was sweet but not TOO sweet and had great texture with the crunchy granola.

An impressive menu, I really enjoyed the crepes and was impressed with the presentation of our takeaway order. More often than not, takeaway food isn’t presented nicely but these were lovely!

This place fills a much-needed niche in Brisbane dining, in my opinion - a French creperie serving authentic crepes for reasonable prices. I'm still searching for others (just for the sake of variety), but my hunt has yet to produce any results....

Anyway. :) I've had a few of their sweet crepes before (the moulin rouge, Romeo & Juliet and menage a trois). An excellent medley of flavours, and the crepes themselves were just how I like them - just a touch of sweetness and chewiness, but still very light. The boy said his savoury crepe was pretty good, too. I love watching the staff make the crepes in front of you - there's something almost hypnotic about watching the batter spread over the crepe pan, haha.

Possibly my only complaints are that the shop is very small with limited seating (although that does add to the charm), and their opening hours are somewhat restricted. In my personal opinion it would have been better if they had just opened all the way from 9-6pm or something, since IMO it's rare that anyone would have crepes for dinner, whereas it's very suitable for an afternoon tea (which is when they are closed). The latter is the main reason why we haven't frequented this place as much as we would have liked to - they are closed most of the times that we feel like going.

I consider myself a crepe connoisseur. I lived on crepes for a year once but thats another story. Long story short i have found the best crepes in Brissie. The lady that owns it is super friendly and cool too. Do yourself a favour. Grab a crepe
Dreamyeyes99t
Very nice crepes and priced very reasonable. Their Caramel crepe is amazing. Decor is average but with a reasonably priced menu you can't ask for more. Very limited seating. Staff were very friendly and helpful in explaining the menu. It's now my regular dessert place.

Called in here for a quick coffee & an almond croissant. Unfortunately they were out of croissants so I just settled for the coffee. The coffee was bold & strong (ordered double shot) The service was attentive & friendly. I was actually surprised to see this new cafe as the last time I came here it was another French Cafe (can't remember the name now)

Great service, great food. It was really hard to fault anything. Good value for money and the food was very enjoyable and the service was very quick. Will be back for more.

Amazing food! I have had both sweet and savory dishes from here and they are both great. My fav is the banoffee! It is a hidden little gem that I recommend trying when you're in the mood to try something different and tastey

We went here for a birthday recently which to be honest I was totally dreading, I didn't want to go spend my Saturday morning eating crepes with the oldies but I'm so happy I did. I try not too eat too many sweet things (which doesn't always work) but I decided to go all out. I got the Romeo and Juliet and oh my God, it was like eating everything bad for you for breakfast and I loved every minute of it. The crepes themselves were really well made and you can't go wrong with Nutella and salted caramel to top them off. The candied pecans were delicious and the prices were quite cheap which is always good. I thought the staff were great, they were all super friendly and the service was fantastic. My only criticism was that the venue itself was quite crammed, the tables were really close together and because the front was open it was quite warm inside the restaurant. I didn't think this would be something I enjoyed but next time I'm in the mood for something sweet I'm heading straight back here!
FrenchToast
Hands down best dessert in Brisbane! I'm yet to try their savoury crepes but I'm sure they're equally amazing. The salted caramel is sooooo good!
I Love Food
Had dessert here with a friend on Sat night as I was visiting from Melb. I LOVE my nutella crepes and the ones here did not disappoint. I had 2 soft and delicious crepes filled with oozing nutella and fresh strawberries. Value was fantastic at $11 - much better then in Melb as you pay much more for the same thing. Service was fast and friendly. My friend enjoyed crepes with lemon & sugar and enjoyed them also. I will definitely return for my future trips back to Qld.

I've been meaning to go to this new little local for a while - it doesn't stand out from the street so i keep forgetting about it.
Brunch this morning was certainly a welcome change to the cafe usual... With crepes, I'm pretty sure you're allowed to have anything at any time of the day - so we had an Asian duck style (hoisin sauce, spring onions, very juicy & tasty duck) and a desert style. There's also breakfast options too.
Nice decor, free newspapers, friendly staff all help make it a great start to the day.
Breakfast lunch or dinner, they seem to have it covered. Who ever heard of a bad time to have a crepe?!
Very un-Frenchly (that's a word, right?!), they even make good coffee!
They also have a tight-arse Tuesday special of $10 for any crepe on the menu!
The Hiding Foodster
A bit of a deja vous experience when writing this as these crepes seemed very familiar - and sure enough, if you've ever visited Hamilton's Eat Street Market's and had a crepe, then Miss Claude's is the place you are assuredly likely to have visited. With its own restaurant now open circa 2015, just when you thought the Crepe Cafe couldn't get any better, along comes this magnific little beauty.
Little it is - the place that is - but its a cute atmosphere, the tables starring baby Eiffel Tower table indicators, and the crepe's themselves highlighted by a very cool menu. Classy names, classy choices and classy sizes, all for roughly around the $12 bracket that was the previous Eat Street price.
To the important part and the Claude Monet (1 Crepe filled with Nutella, 1 filled with salted caramel, topped with strawberries, banana, complete with nutella, then salted caramel sauce with either ice cream and/or cream or creme chantilly.) Be naughty and have it all, why don't you? Was it any good then? Oh, only the best Crepe I've ever had, although a little dearer than the Crepe Cafe. Nevertheless, a worthy extra spend.
We played with a dirty chai latte for the first time, too - well made, but anyone mad enough to mix a coffee shot with chai (tea) and expect a drink that rules needs medical attention. Not the fault of the incredible Miss Claudes, but for this reason the 5 rating just falls short - c'est la vie !

I went to Miss Claudes Crepe and French Café for Mothers Day, which is situated at New Farm (Brunswick street) inner suburb of Brisbane. The Café was very hygienically clean that is a big must for me and the staff were friendly and accommodating. There is a huge variety of choices on their menu both sweet and savory they also cater for vegetarian (that’s me) and gluten free. I had the vegetarian Ratatouille crepe it was Delicious, I highly recommend Miss Claudes Crepe and French Café the food is quality and yummy, it has a great atmosphere, the meals are generous in size, and it is certainly value for money.

Great service and delicious! This shop will soon be a lot busier, I'm glad I found this treasure. Will definitely return soon :) How can you resist?

My partner and I went here the other day and had a great experience. The service was very friendly, ambience was nice and crepes were absolutely delicious. We will definitely be back.

Ok, been here for the first time now finally! And this is the sort of place that should be a lot busier then it is. A hidden little gem. Crepes were incredibly soft and delicious, prices were extremely reasonable, and the choosing what to eat to longer for us then cooking it did for them.. All day breakfast option, so a little tick in my book! All in all, i will become a regular here..

A fantastic twist on the trusty old crepe. A very relaxed environment, friendly staff and fresh delicious food. Everything is made fresh! The coffee is also very good. Large menu to cater to everyones needs!

Most relaxed, friendly atmosphere. The crepes are amazing and the fillings are endless. If you're after something light, substantial, sweet, savoury, healthy or hangover-curing, this is the place for you! I can't go past the morning glory galette and a salted caramel sweet crepe. Go here!

This new place in New Farm is amazing! The food is fresh, and packs great flavours. There are so many options to suit everyone from breakfast, something light, something filling or something sweet (excellent spot for a dessert date!) The cafe itself very relaxed and air conditioned. A+ for service too. Definitely check this place out.
Ranga With An Appetite
Very friendly, relaxed and a nice price. They have an extensive menu so I'm sure everyone will find a crepe whether it be pulled pork crepe to a strawberry and icecream or even a brekky crepe. I had the brekky crepe with egg, bacon, caramlised onion with hollandaise sauce. Personally for me it was a bit rich but I won't fault them for that as the crepe itself was good and I willl go back and select an alternative. Definitely recommended.

It was love at first bite, these crepes are silky smooth, they literally melt in your mouth. Where to start, they have so many crepes to suit any taste, sweet, savoury, vegetarian. My mouth just waters thinking about this place. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, these guys have got your back. I'll going there regularly just to try all the different fillings.
The team there are friendly and accommodating and the cafe itself it well laid out.
I'm going to get in there early, because this place is going to be packed very soon.
Love your work!
