New management took over 18 months ago and Chef Win continues to surprise us. Phuong Tran and I decide to lunch here. She enjoys her Jamaican Dream (Pineapple, Mango & Orange) while waiting for lunch.
Lunch is served in 20 minutes. PT’s Orange Smoked Salmon Salad looks amazing with a myriad of colours. She loves it! My Pan Fried Salmon, Mash, Wilted Spinach and Peppercorn Sauce looks understated but is delicious. The Salmon is perfectly cooked with crispy skin and the ever popular mash is so good!
This is one of our best meals since the Covid-19 shutdown. Our previous meals here have rated 2, 3, 4 & 4 and this lunch rates a well deserved 5! Chef Win is talented and creative. And we will return for his renowned Steaks. Well done !
Revisited this renowned local cafe in a group of four to celebrate Christmas. It was a busy night.
We placed orders of white anchovies canapé and garlic bread to start our food journey. Honestly, it was the first time that I tasted the white anchovies in such preparation and they were interesting.
I was so impressed on the lamb dish here at my last visit so particularly asked for a lamb cutlet. It proved to be true that the lamb cutlet was hero of the night. Besides that all the other three steaks were superb too.
No wonder this cafe can be so busy👍
Tomahawk steak: 1.3kg (around $160?) With rosemary fries and garden salad (not pictured because it was a pretty sad salad honestly)
Wandered in around 8pm with a party of 3.. We were initially seated outside since we didn't make a reservation. The girl serving us was a bit flustered and she had to come back several times to amend our order because our initial order of 1kg wagyu rump was sold out :( the food also took a while to come out, and I had to ask several times for water and also to be moved in since they really did seem to neglect us outside (we were the only table outside)
The food itself was quite good, a bit expensive but I suppose its meant to be premium? I'm happy to have tried it but probably won't be rushing back because of the service, price, and atmosphere.
3.5/5
Always enjoy the steak here with the chips as a side👌 love how they serve with a slice of lemon! Good coffee too. Reasonably priced for the quality
We absolutely love this place. How such great food can come out of such a tiny mediocre kitchen shows all credit goes to the chef. We happened on this unassuming place once upon a time and are regulars.
Love the creamy mushroom soup, carbonara, spaghetti Bolognese and of course the rosemary fries. The mocktails are also a delicious treat, as are their gourmet range of desserts off the menu.
The staff are so friendly and accommodating. Thank you all
Best place for steaks/western dining in sunnybank. Food is consistently good and portion sizes are generous. This place has been here for years and for good reason
Always love coming here! They're always careful to check how you like your steak/lamb and it comes out perfectly as per my request every time.
This place has been around for so long it’s a Sunnybank icon. You only realize how it’s survived so long amongst cheap Asian restaurants for so long when you visit. It has by far the best tasting and best value steaks on Brisbane’s Southside. The wagyu rump is fabulous. Try it with a side of porcini mushroom sauce and rosemary fries. Both so so good! I also really like the lamb shanks (with the creamiest mash) and the garlic butter lamb cutlets. The drinks menu has some nice mocktails too! It’s also a great place to catch up for a coffee and it’s family friendly. Will stay one of my favourite Sunnybank haunts!
Come here on a weekly basis for the rib eye steak, cooked to perfection. Well seasoned. Also recommend the mushroom sauce with it! Definitely my favourite place to have steak.
I have to say this place took me by surprise, we have always walked past it and nearly everytime has been full. So decided to enjoy some quality steaks. It has been recommended by many a friends.
Parking is all around this place, tight very tight parks made for small cars. Most tables were reserved but managed a table.
Staff were friendly, the cafe needs like a new face lift very dark and old. But here for the food.
So we ordered the steak diane special, a ceasar salad, with sparkling water. The ceasar salad was large compared to the steak. But once we got into the food, it was great, the steak tender together with the mash and beans. Add in the sauce and I think have found my favourite steak place.
The wife enjoyed her salad also and she rates it high. We both finished out plates.
There are plenty of other steaks to try so we will definitely be back.
This is my go to place and dare i say it, maybe my favourite steak place in Brissy. People look at me with confusion when i tell them this as sunnybank market square isnt a place most people think of when it comes to steak. But it is!!!! 9 out of 10 times ive ordered the same thing. The 1kg wagyu rump steak. Its has a marbling score of 6-9. Each slice when you look closley you cam see the small fat veins running through it, and when cooked perfectly medium rare you cab feel these fat veins pop in your mouth with squirts of flavour. The seasoning on the steak is incredible! And when paired with their unique mushroom sauce , it is amazing. This is how we like our steak, if you like your steak well done then this really isnt the place for you as you. Ad the price did go up this year we dont go as often as we use to but it is our go to place when we crave a great steak. The inside if the restataunt is very dated but the service is great and the food comed out in good time. We highly recommend this place and this cut of steak if you are a steak lover.
Delicious carbonara, delicious steak. Desserts look like they came out from a fine dining restaurant. Huge variety of food to choose from. Exceptional service from the staff.
Perfect steak delivered time and again. Rosemary fries, rocket salad are yum and I like the mushrooms alongside (though they were a little watery rather than properly sauteed). It's the perfect shareable feast, with a 1.3kg tomahawk feeding 5 of us. The mushroom sauce and pepper sauce accompany well, and duck rillets to start were delicious with crunchy picked onion. Service was attentuve, but it can get a bit loud and echoey in there. Aside from that, awesome steak in Sunnybank, go for it!
Consistently good. Been here many a time with the oldies. Great service, food and value for money. The flavours on the plate are very well paired. The only thing letting this venue down is perhaps the atmosphere. The lighting is cool/daylight bulbs which although is practical for view-ability, lacks that warmth and charm of true French style restaurant.
I must say there was a build up for me prior to eating here due to the reviews.
The decor itself is a bit shabby so that was a little bit of a let down for me.
We were served fairly quickly. Our herb bread came out before the drinks. I have to say they looked hugely under staffed. I felt quite sorry for the young guy waiting tables.
Our steaks came out and they were delicious. O asked for medium and it was perfect not over done at all. The mushroom sauce was to die for. I absolutely loved the mash and carrots.
We then got some desserts which were also divine and really well plated.
I would definitely recommend.
Haven't had steak for such a long time - my cravings for a nice, perfectly cooked medium rare eye fillet kicked in today.
Making my arrival at Market Square around 12:30pm the car park was quite filled up. I decided to u-turn and drive into the residential areas to find a street parking (good thing I found a close one) :)
Today, I have a dining companion joining me - we took a seat inside the Cafe and were welcomed with menus and table water. Didn't take us long to make a decision and coincidently, we were going to order the same thing which was the 200g Eye Fillet w/ Mushroom sauce cooked medium rare.
The steaks didn't take long to arrive at our table. Cutting into the meat, it was just the way I visioned it to be - juicy and tender :) (I like the touch of salt on top of the steak) My companion cleaned out the plate before I did (possibly because I'm a slow eater). Their final impression though, was a satisfying one :) The mushrooms were filled with flavour. Can't forget about the good old side salad, refreshed my palate :)
An enjoyable experience!!
Thank you Cafe Les Amoureux.
Could do with a fitout but friendly service. Omg one of the best steaks in Brisbane what a surprise to discover! Would not think of it with all the neighbouring Asian restaurants.
Food, specially the steaks and pasta are highly recommended, however, staff and service is quite poor. Typical rude and "rushing" staff, should just get orders right in one or two goes instead of asking to repeat couple of times, without manners.
I felt like a nice steak for lunch and I've heard a fair bit about Cafe Les Amoureux. I ordered the wagyu rump with green peppercorn sauce and char grilled vegetables. The wagyu rump was the best steak I have had in a long time - it was melt in your mouth soft and was delicious with the peppercorn sauce being a perfect accompaniment. The only disappointment was the vegetables which did not have much flavour.
It's another wonderful dimension to the Market Square dining area which has a number of good choices.
Some of the best steak in Brisbane and having just returned from a world trip, some of the best steak in the world given the price-point for Australians
Great steaks! A little bit more expensive but a great place to come every now and again. Customer service was the only downer for me, took a while for the waiter to take our orders. Besides that everything was good! Will definitely be back for a wagyu rump!
I have to start with dessert because it was exceptional. Sweet, but not sickly sweet, well balanced! It had all the textures! I got the special which was the meringue with roasted almonds and pistachio nuts on top of ganache with a chocolate cream - amazing. Could not fault! Hubby got the chocolate fondant which was gooey and again not too sweet. Dessert and coffee alone would have been 5 stars and more!
Our mains were ok (garlic lamb and spaghetti bolognese) - nothing spectacular and I'd question the side salad, felt like an after thought but they were homely meals. For now couldn't rate it higher because of the mains but would still happily eat again but would try the steaks as we did have food envy watching them go to others.
Overall very well priced. We had two mains, a bottle of wine, sparking water, 2 desserts and 2 coffees at $103 was very good.
This place hands down has some of the best steaks on the Southside, if not, I'm happy to even say Brisbane. Their cuts are very nice and is always cooked to perfection. Sides are real goer too! I've only ever had steak there but it keeps me going back!
This place has never failed to provide a awesome steak. Had the eye fillet medium rare, which was perfect. Have been coming here for years and never disappointed me. Defiantly has my vote for the best steak around.
The mushroom and also pepper sauces are to die for. The Rosemary fries are also highly recommended.
Round 2 - 7/4/16
Another visit to find a nice steak. Again it did not disappoint going with the 1KG Wagyu rump cooked perfectly rare as requested. Service was quick and responsive.
We tried this restaurant for the first time Saturday night. I was a little concerned about slow service reading the reviews here but am pleased to say this was not our experience. We had a shared entree, main course and dessert and were finished in around an hour. Service was quick and friendly.
For entree we shared the rosemary and salt chips. These were lovely and big enough for two to share. If you are ordering for children it might be an idea to ask them to hold the mustard oil. It added a nice bite for us, but may be too much for a little one.
For mains we had the Chicken with Garlic and Chicken with Porcini Mushroom. Both were well priced, generous in serving size and simply delicious.
For dessert we had the Vanilla Creme Brulee and the Chocolate Pot. Again both were generous and delicious. My partner is gluten intolerant and so was wrapped at having so many gluten free desserts from which to choose.
I also had a Margarita, which at $11.50 seemed fair. It wasn't the nicest I've ever had, but may have been the strongest!
I will absolutely be returning. :)
I do enjoy the food and am always left with a full stomach. Down to the sauce, meat, vegetables, all of it is made well to perfection.Even the deserts are to die for and must not miss at all. Even on a full stomach, they are heaven. If you ever do come to this restaurant, desert is a must. I think the only downfall is the price and how steep it is.
I didn't know of this restaurant until my partner and I drove around Sunnybank looking for something new to try. Cafe Les Amoureux was slightly hidden away but certainly worth the trip! The food was delicious and cooked perfectly. We had the rosemary fries to snack on before our mains, then for mains my partner had the lamb shank in red wine sauce and I had the seafood pappardelle. We are certainly going to come here again one day as the service was very friendly, we didn't have to book, service was quick and the cost was reasonable to the quality of food we were served.
The steaks here are delicious! You can definitely trust to eat it rare or even blue. I normally have it rare or medium rare as I like the taste of the softness of the steak. The prices are very reasonable for what you get compared to fine dinning restaurants like Cha Cha Cha, 30 compared to 80~ winning~. the only thing is that it is not a high classed glassed wall type of environment, its a welcoming little cafe where you can relax and admire the beautiful french paintings on the wall. For a little place like sunnybank, it is top of its range. I normally dine every week on a Wednesday night with my partner, the girls there are always lovely and the chef, who is the owner of the venue, is very friendly and loves his food to be 100% before it goes out. Ive also enjoyed breakfast there a few times too and it was fabulous! It saids on this page that it opens at 12pm, but I have been there at 9 in the morning before work and it was opened. Hope this review was helpful!
Love this place! Good service, awesome price & great food.
Everything on the menu is to die for. Best steak place in Brisbane! Got to have the Rosemary fries & all the sauces are cooked to perfection.
Definitely recommend 👍🏼
Each time I come here, I am pleasantly surprised. This is a asian-run french reataurant; based in the heart of Market Square, Sunnybank... odd I know. Having tried the braised chicken with bacon, I thoroughly enjoyed the flavours and serving size. It isn't exactly cheap; when compared to neighboring, competitive restaurants; but it is a nice experience.
Every time I come here, I'm left feeling very pleased. The food here is always delicious but what keeps me coming back is the dessert. The desserts look and taste amazing, the cakes and slices in the cabinet are just as delicious, especially the apple pie. For $7.95 you get a warm slice of apple pie with ice cream, custard and cream, that's value for money.
The price of main food is rather high but the desserts are cheap, Creme brûlée or chocolate fondant is somewhere between $9-$11 (can't remember clearly).
Would recommend this restaurant to everyone, especially dessert :)
Slow service sometimes but worth the wait! if you have ever had the 1kg steak you will know why people go here, share the steak between 2 or 3 people, you wont regret it. The lamb is also a winner, just falls off the bone. Mushroom sauce is amazing, would rate it the best steak in brisbane! (and i've tried alot of steaks) better than Morrisons thats for sure!
Great food and service. The lamb is amazing. Prices are very good.
Great place. We came here for the first time, and luckily for us it wasn't too busy. We had ordered an entree and a couple of mains to start off with - the prawn appetizer, herb bread, salmon main and seafood mornay. The wait wasnt long and the food tasted great. Portion sizes were generous too. We finished off our meal with a slice from the display and it was presented beautifully. The service was efficient and polite and we thoroughly enjoyed our first experience dining here. Definitely will come again.
Best steak ever. Probably the best steak I have ever had. Hidden gem in sunnybank. Will come back any day for them.
Great Steak!. You wouldn't have picked it but this place has one of the best steaks I've had. And it's cooked in a more 'refined' way. Ie not the traditional big rump on a BBQ. It's more delicate.
I have never hhad bad experience here. They have a abudent menu. I had balsamic lamb and my husband had M7 steak which is their special menu. Im totally satisfied whenever having dinner with my family and friends here.
At first when looking at the price, i thought that it is overpriced. Yet, after having kobe and tomahawk im totally satisfied. Steak was cooked well and very good quality meat. I will come back another day.
Casual dining, quality food. Have been to Cafe Les Amoureaux on numerous occasions, and never a disappointment. Their steaks are of great quality, cooked majority of times to the liking chosen. Ambedience is casual and staff are quite friendly. The restaurant is always packed but food is never too long of a wait.
We ordered the 1kilo Wagyu Rump steak to share this time, which we thought was a good price $91 for 3 comes with sauce and 2 sides, garden salad & sautéed potatoes. It does say the steak can be shared between 2, max 3, but I think 2 people would struggle unless you're a big eater.
Definitely a must try!
Yummy fries.. ROSEMARY FRIES! very good fries, I'd go there for the fries alone. Duck riblett ebtee was a disaster, it ibkt cost about $10 so we just let it go. We ordered the 1kg steak portion for 3, steak cooked well but quite tough. It was served with awesome roast potatoes, the salad was meh. Balsamic lamb cutlets very good, garlic lamb cutlets ok. Chocolate fondant was tasty and creme brulee was average. Overall I would go back again, their menu is extensive so I will try other dishes.
Unexpected surprise. Excellent food
Birthday Dinner. I've been fortunate to eat here on a number of occasions and I must say every time it leaves me more satisfied than when I came in. The steak are cooked to perfection, with condiments that just accentuate the flavour of the meats. Top job chefs here!
What a gem!. Entrees were good, mains I thought were great, the other half thought sensational. We didn't have the beef which they are known for but I had Swiss chicken and other half red wine chicken. I thought my chicken was a touch over but every other element on both dishes were perfect. Would definitely go back again and try the steak and some of the yum looking deserts they had.
Absolutely amazing! Being a sunnybank resident my whole life I'd always walked passed this cafe. One night wanting a late dinner (9.30pm) ring up and they said theyre open til 12. Arrived, excellent table service very friendly and quick. Ordered the kobe steak with mushrooms and my partner had the grilled herb butter lamb. Perfectly cooked so tender and juicy my steak melted in my mouth. Without a doubt the best steak ive ever had in all of Australia. Highly recommend you pay the extra dollar for the kobe. Partners lamb was perfectly cooked the way he likes it and although the meals themselves are not huge, it is enough to fill you up so you don't leave hungry. I added the sauteed potatoes to my meal and they were fantastic! Crispy and coated in herbs and a spice they were perfect. The dessert we shared was a the chocolate fondant which was divine! The right richness and smooth flowing gooey middle with nice little side accompaniments of vanilla cream and ganache and nuts and strawberry.
Highly highly recommend!!! Might even go back tonight. If not, I'll definitely be dreaming of that steak for a long while!!!
Wow coming back here great service friendly staff awesome garlic bread well worth the vist
Just great great food. Chances are you've walked past this restaurant a thousand times if you're a market square frequent and never bothered stepping like I did. tried it couple months ago and the food was just fantastic! expect a pretty long wait but definitely worth it thr Kobe cut steak and the confit duck are one of the best I've tasted in Brisbane. and the dessert are real good as well
A Favourite. Must have been here at least 8-10 times and we have also brought two different sets of friends - which have all loved it too.
We always get the 1kg wagyu steak for 2 and it is just gorgeously made. The meat is so tender and cooked to perfection. The sides are yummy (we fight over the potatoes) too.
Wouldn't go here for the ambience as it's very cafe-style and the decor is quite scruffy. Not exactly a fine dining or romantic night out, but oh the food. Best steak we've ever had, hands down.
I'll say it - best steak i've had, yes at sunnybank. Entrees and desert were on point too. Will definitely be back.
Stan The Man. Went there over the weekend before Christmas. This time around we tried their chicken cooked 3 different styles. Best thing we ever did - it was great. Not only are they good at steaks but also the chicken! It was tender and juicy. Though the service was unfriendly and unprofessional.....who cares as long as the food is good.
Great. The Swiss chicken was amazinnngggg. Would come back again.
Consistenly good. Have been here about 25 times and the food is good all the time try the fries or any of the side veges this is a career chef someone who knows what he is doing thanx also try the swiss chicken and creme brulee thankyou
Not a bad steak in the middle of your typical Asian Sunnybank restaurants.
A little pricey but okay if you want to try something different from Asian foods in the area.
Will come back for the 1Kg Wagyu for sho!
Good steak...But pricy. An unexpected good steak in the middle of Asian food Mecca. Tries to be French but the deco just doesn't add up. However, excellent steak with good service makes up for the price and try hard deco.
Fantastic food !!!. The food here is amazing. I had the duck, and my friend had steak. They both tasted great, and the dessert crepes were good too. The parking in Market Square is crazy though, and the only thing that stops me from coming more often.
Prices are not bad, around the $25-$35 mark.
Delicious..was really impressed with the 1kg Wagyu steak!! Cooked to perfection 'medium rare'...Kobe Wagyu was scrumptious too..definitely going back again!!
C'est Magnifique!. Initially a French restaurant in the middle of the Sunnybank Market Square 'Asian' area seems a bit incongruous until you consider the Vietnamese aspect. Whatever the French may have got wrong in Indo-China what they did succeed in was leaving behind a wonderful culture of French cooking and cuisine which the owners (I presume) and staff at Cafe Les Amoureux have enthusiastically brought to us in Brisbane. Merci beaucoup! The food was wonderful (the bouef bourgignon was mouth wateringly wonderful), the service friendly, the decor including a big French style mural very appropriate though in no way flashy or overstated - possibly even lacking just a little in flair in some ways. The big display of very ordinary big brand soft drinks in the glass counter facing most diners spoiled the French effect a bit but that is quibbling. A real find in a locality full of good restaurants. I shall return!
Best Steak Ever!. Saw the reviews on urban spoon and decided to try it out. Just went there for lunch and the steak was the best steak I ever had! Must try the wagyu M9. Its so tender and juicy. Will definitely be back for more steak and highly recommend this restaurant to everyone!
Great food and value for money. Was disappointed with the service, the server forgot to bring water, wine glasses for our wine, and never returned to take our order. However the duck with cherries and the Swiss chicken are worth returning for.
Wonderful!. This place is amazing. Decided to eat here on a Thursday night on a whim, and it was the best decision. We came around 7:30 and it was very busy, but luckily got a seat inside. The waitress was very nice and helpful and knew her way around the menu. The menu was vast and reasonably cheap and had an great 'choose-your-own side dishes'. We had ordered a 200g Kobe Striploin and a 300g Wagyu Rump and a couple of vegetables on the side. The food took a little while to come out, but was reasonable since it was such a busy night. The food was amazing though, best steak I've ever had. The main lady of the restaurant was a little rough though and kept shouting at all her staff. But the waitress handled everything well and we had an amazing dining experience, will come back soon!!
Best steak ever!!!! Tender and juicy. Have to try the waygu!!!! Great food makes up for lack of atmosphere.
Superb and perfect steak. This is the perfect house for steak - awesome taste and perfect cooked. Everyone thinks that they will only find a perfect house for steak @ CBD, but me - found it at SUNNYBANK MARKET SQUARE... bravo!

+4.5
Excellent little place for price & quality better than some fine dining places in the city or other well-known high-end dining suburbs. Quality is usually very consistent and surprisingly almost every time I have steak there, it is always very well controlled like a masterchef (actually probably 8/10 times). Good service, nice neat little atmosphere, value for money and despite the awful Marketsquare Parking, I'd make the effort to go there again all the time. Excellent little place! I rate it 8.5/10
Great food. Decor not so. We had the duck with mash and cherry sauce. Omg it was amazing! Also ordered the seafood mornay, very nice but got quite full from the mash and the creamy sauce. Certainly not a bad thing though!
Excellent food. This place ranks very high on my list of places for good quality french cuisine at a very reasonable prices. The main course prices range from $20 to $29 and the food is excellent. I would rate the price and quality to be very comparable to other great cities like NY or Prague. The interior is nice and inviting, spacious, not over crowded and has a nice atmosphere. You have an outdoor seating patio in the front and at the back end. The only negative, finding parking at the sunny bank strip.
Flavours of Europe in the middle of Brisbane Chinatown. Sunnybank has always been the Chinatown of Brisbane - the aromas of Asian cuisine, bustling Asian produce and authentic Asian groceries. Located in the heart of Sunnybank is this European place - didn't really notice it up till now after reading a few reviews on Urbanspoon.
Dropped in on a weekday night and it was not very busy yet (customers came relatively later that night). We ordered a Swiss Chicken and a Lamb Shank dish. Dishes came out relatively quickly since it wasn't busy yet. Both dishes were packed with strong flavours - noticable cheese and buttery content.
Atmosphere: Not very intimate and looks like your regular takeaway restaurant. Wouldn't call this a 'romantic' restaurant. 6/10
Service: Quick orders, reasonably quick service but got abit busy as the night went by since they only had 2 waitresses managing a big floor with one who came to help out occasionally. 7/10
Food: Delicious and worth every cent! Presentation was near perfect! 9/10
Price: Moderately priced. $15-20 for the mains. $20-40 for steaks - would love to try their reputable steaks one day. 8/10
Fantastic lil place hidden away in Sunnybank. The food is great- the steak and duck dishes are excellent, as are the sides. We didn't have dessert but we saw others eating and relishing them. They have a good wine list with plenty available by the glass.
The only downside is the lack of parking onsite, be prepared to park elsewhere and walk.
Totally surprised. What a French gem in the heart of BrisVegas Asian food hub. Lunch was fantastic and our waitress was fantastic. Would recommend to all and will definitely be going back.
Wonderful French fare. Cafe Les Amoureux, where have you been all my life? What a delightful meal, starting with the duck rilletes served with thin slices of baguette and cornichons. Next was the Steak au Poivre (pepper steak) with that lovely sauce served on the side, pomme frittes and wilted spinach, as well as the Steak a la Provencale with ratatouille, anchovies and olive tapenade. Both were cooked perfectly medium rare. It will henceforth be known as that lovely spot in Market Square that makes amazing Western food and our server for the night was a friendly and funny guy who earned a hefty tip. Top notch! :)
Love this place. Stumbled upon this place while looking for dinner on a saturday night. Decided to check it out. The place was packed but luckily we had a table out front. Have to remember to book next time. Food was reasonably price. The staff was nice and friendly. Our food came out reasonably fast considering the amount of people dining there. My girlfriend and I had a Wagyu M8 each. We each added our own sides. I had greek salad with rosemary fries while she had the mushrooms with chargrill vegetables. It was amazing! Definitely will come back for seconds!
Fabulous Dinner!. Took my family of 6 out to this hidden gem in Sunnybank. This place has really nice and friendly staff and the food was delicious. We started off with the prawn patis and garlic bread as entree. Then for the main, we had the 1Kg rump which i shared with my wife while my 4 kids had a swiss chicken, salmon, boeuf bourguignon and Wagyu M8 steak. They absolutely loved it. Food was reasonably price and was really worth it! Afterwards we tried the creme brulee, chocolate fondant and the cheese cake for dessert. It was just too much! Would definitely come here again!
The Wagyu marble 8 striplion steak was Absolutely delicious!!!
Great find in Sunnybank and worth a try.
This restaurant has been my go-to for years. The food is amazing and the all the staff are friendly. This place is perfect for that late night steak craving. Must try the wagyu M8, best steak I've ever had.
Love the wagyu steak! So tasty! Must try the rosemary fries too. Great customer service and will definitely be back!
This place serves up the best steak I've ever eaten. I've tried steak all over Brisbane and the Gold Coast and by far the best steak. My boyfriend and I always go here when we are craving steak. Their other dishes are good too. The only thing this place lacks in is customer service, I'm guessing due to the lady that appears to be incharge. She is rude to her staff and not too friendly to the customers. They are so lucky that they serve up one hell of a delicious steak because if they didnt I would stop dining there.
Best steak in the world - save up and take your girl out to eat an M8 striploin - the best!!! Never had steak til I came here!
Absolutely fabulous! The food was really delicious- clean strong French flavours and steak so succulent! The service was great and very affordable! Will definately go back there!
Great food. We had the prawn appetiser and the steak au poivre & Swiss chicken for mains. We were blown away by the quality of the food and how authentically French the flavours were. For dessert we had a large slice of Chocolate Diane cake that was generous and delicious.
We also had a great server and the prices were very reasonable.
Like others have said, it is quite odd to be dining in a French restaurant smack dab in the middle of Market Square Sunnybank. Took my wife and son here and we were all impressed and very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. The marinated steaks are recommended, but the roasted veggies were very delightful. We ended up snacking on them and forgot to eat the chips! Would definitely recommend people to try and will definitely come back.
What a great restaurant. Great value for money and the meals were fantastic. Service was great too, very attentive. Recommend this place.
Unexpected and pleasant surprise!. You have to be mad to put a French bistro in the heart of Brisbane's Asian suburban food district. I've been eating at Market Square for about 12 years now and pass this place every time. You don't go to Tasmania for the beaches!
But this place, impressive!
Service is great, wine selection okay and food quality - great value for money. Perhaps it was because my expectations were low and it's the novelty of having French food in Market Square but I'm definitely returning.
I was highly recommended this place by a friend and glad I went. I started with the entry level steak and am planning to work my way up to the wagyu.
What a gem this place is! This French bistro offers delicious food and good service. The waitress was extremely helpful, knew the menu well and made done good suggestions. A great meal at a good price!
Terrific restaurant/cafe. Love the pancakes and all the other sweets and delicacies. Presentation is second to none and the service is brilliant. I would recommend this place to anyone.
Fantastic food, superb presentation, recommend for breakfast and coffee, yet to try dinner.
Consistent Quality. Dined here over the years. Keep coming back as the food is always freshly prepared and well presented. An alternative to the myriad of Asian restaurants in the precinct - if you want a French inspired menu for a change. Of late enjoyed the chicken dishes, lamb and duck. Good value, although not ultra cheap. Don't come here if you want bulk buffet style with drippy salads, dubious sauces and mounds of chips.
Great atmosphere. Good modern australian restaurant in the asian food central. food is quite delicious and fresh, good service and reasonably priced with mains averaging $20.
Overall, a pretty good dining experience at Cafe les amoureux. They add a touch of western flavours to the highly populated of asian cuisine district.
Randomly talking about craving food one evening, with my mum and my sister, we decided on an impromptu dinner for the next night. Seeing that it will be my sisters' birthday in a few days, we decided that this would be an early dinner to celebrate such an occasion. One of the mostly discussed craving was steak! So i opened by urbanspoon app on my phone, and browsed through what was good in regards to this. I suggested a few places towards the city and beyond, but it was decided we were all too lazy to drive anywhere far, so we settled for Cafe Les Amoureux; the odd egg of french cuisine nestled amongst the strip of asian oriented restaurants in Market Square, Sunnybank. It was mid week day that we settled on to go and dine here. I've always wanted to eat here, frequently walking past here as I choose to dine at restaurants nearby. I've heard good reviews and opinions from friends and colleagues that have eaten here, and was time i went and checked it out myself. We arrived pretty earl
