Review Foxy Bean - Brisbane

Brandon Lehmann (tidy)
Service was quick, but our request for icecream forgotten. The food wasn’t bad, but wasn’t fantastic either. The coffee was only just warm.. One too many disappointments for us to warrant returning. Update: Second experience was much better, although we didn’t try the coffee again. Staff were still a bit slow but what we assumed was the owner was very prompt on our drinks! 👌

This cafe is such a good place to go for breakfast. The food was amazing, it may be pricey but it is worth the money. The staff here was so friendly and the service was great. This cafe has a great old fashioned vibe. Can definitely say it's the best eggs Benedict in Brisbane

Came here on a Saturday morning, just before midday. Got a table easily and the staff attended to the table pretty quickly. Breakfast meal and coffee were tasty. Only criticism was that I ordered some poached eggs with breakfast and one was perfectly cooked and the other was well done. Consistency was a bit strange. Otherwise good experience - nice decor, attentive staff and good food.

With, The Gabba Cafe Wars, in full swing, you still cannot beat one of the long lived very originals, The Foxy Bean. Great menu, great coffee, great staff, great space, just a great vibe about it all round. After 22 years of living and operating my business in The Gabba, I've seen so many cafes, come and go, or operate with a revolving door of owners and name changes. Gerry and his authentically ever upbeat team always please. The new spring menu has many delicious offerings, try the Spanish Fried Rice for breakfast :-)! Highly recommended -Dan, Zen Natural Beds

Give this venue a whirl as the food is great. Decent coffee and great service. The interior takes you to another world with great wall art and a quirky Devore.

Funky atmosphere especially around dinner time . . . the Chef seemed like a genuine fellow . . . makes me feel good about the food he creates . . . also, my 3yo son loved discovering all the little unique areas which made our experience less stressful.

Nice cafe, food is nothing fancy, but solid, little on the pricy side. Eggs Benny was good for my hangover 😪

We went in around 11am today, the place was not busy at all.. the lady at the counter told us to take a seat and she will come over with menus.. 10mins later the lady never came over. :-( Very poor service so we walked out. I think she was more interested in her conversation with her other co-worker then doing her job!

Breakfast of champions. Great food good coffee. Great relaxing atmosphere. Had not been here for a while. Still the best breakfast in east Brisbane in my opinion 👌

Wow! What an awesome experience we have had at Foxy Bean these past few days. Wednesday afternoon my friend and I had the best hospitality from Gerry that we could ever imagine, complete with bubbles, the most amazing calamari and fries, Thursday morning we held our first Bob ( Business over Breakfast) club at Foxy Bean, breakfast for 14 business professionals and Thursday night drinks. The food was amazing, the staff were friendly and professional and the service was brilliant. Thanks Gerry, Tam and Ben. You out did yourselves and I am totally looking forward to a long term successful business relationship.

We had my husband's 40th birthday party at the Foxy, and we could not have been happier. Leading up to the event it was all organised for us (Orla is wonderful) and we did not have to worry about one thing. Service was amazing, food was perfect and the general friendliness of all staff on the night was outstanding. Highly recommend.

Amazing service, amazing food and coffee, the staff are always so nice and fast. I had a chicken schnitzel wrap for lunch yesterday and it was the most amazing wrap ever can’t wait to get another one!!

I've been here a few times for breakfast or lunch. The food is tasty, the coffee is consistently good, the staff are friendly, the ambience and music are just right and I like the choice of beers on tap.
Andrew Bulda
Had a great breakfast yesterday with friendly service from the staff that seated us, took our orders and delivered our meals. However, the entire experience was ruined at the end when we paid as the tall guy at the register was aggressive and rude when we were trying to explain which table we were seated at. He couldn't comprehend which table it was from our description and kept snapping back at us in a condescending tone. Not sure we will bother coming back when we have to deal with rude staff like him. Disappointing.

We are from the US. We stopped here by chance. The people were friendly and congenial. The food and beer were great. A large selection of beers to choose. A very homie atmosphere. It was so good we went back again before leaving Australia. Thanks Gerry........

the roast pumpkin breaky special was delicious and plentiful. Coffees and tea well made. Not busy so service was ok. Waitress not totally familiar with menu content but not the end of the world! Would come back.

A great local place to get coffee and breakfast and the staff are lovely

Thank you to Tam and staff for an amazing day for my daughters baby shower....so easy to deal with, so organised, gorgeous area that was away from the general diners, brilliant food. Cannot recommend the Foxy Bean highly enough if you are thinking of something like a baby shower or a bridal shower...thank you guys!!!

I don't do reviews...but this place is good! Friendly service, great coffee and the Bushman's Benedict was absolutely huge and so moreish. I'll be back
Jennifer Nutchey
We visited for coffee and dessert just this afternoon, and while I don't add my reviews very often feel compelled to today. The staff were friendly, went above and beyond and had us feeling comfortable and welcome. The food and drinks were delicious and service timely. I don't have anything bad to say about our experience at all!

Worst breakfast experience EVER!!!! 1. They didn’t have decaf coffee. 2. The “Banana Smoothie” I had was clearly substituted with shitty banana flavouring. 3. Then I received my Eggs benny with 2 HARD eggs. 4. With no service around I had to get up and approach the kitchen for runny eggs. 5. The waiter delivered the second batch with no apology and buggered off before checking they were ok. 6. The replacement eggs were ROCK HARD AGAIN! Not even a little bit runny. 7. With no service around I had to get up and approach the kitchen for runny eggs.....AGAIN!!! 8. Then the waiter (who I think is the owner or manager) came and took my partners finished brekky referring to her as “Sweetheart”. You can get fucked right there pal!!! But what’s worse is there was no acknowledgement whatsoever of my shite experience which was evident. 9. The final nail in the coffin was at the counter when there was no acknowledgement, apology or anything. Even the waiter was behind the counter, looked at us and smiled. I really wish I said something at the time but I was so surprised that nothing was said as we were leaving, I didn’t.

Ive been here many times. Today I was invisible. I arrived well before 3 and waited for service. Nothing ....so i found my way to the bar at exactly 3 to be told theyd stopped serving at 3. It was exactly 3 and people around me were drinking. Very poor indifferent attitude . Wont be back!

Not open Saturday 3.20 pm even though advertised as open until 11.30pm. Very disappointing as we organized to meet people here. Perhaps their opening times need to be reviewed and revised.

Being a long time visitor to Brisbane I've often been disappointed with the lack of really good cafes that consistently deliver.<br/>Foxy Bean, however ticks all the boxes with happy friendly staff, great coffees and really good food.<br/>Only visit for breakfasts when the occasion suits and always leave happy.

I’ve been coming to the Foxy sporadically for about six years. Never disappointed. Food is always fantastic. The settings are interesting and kooky. Sometimes the service is a bit slow, but it’s busy on the weekends so that’s fair enough. <br/><br/>It’s near the Gabba and you can walk to games easily. <br/><br/>Parking can be a bit tricky so be prepared that you may have to walk a little bit. <br/><br/>They also have a liquor licence (but I’ve never been for a drink...)
Marich
We visited this cafe for breakfast. <br/>It’s a nice cafe but very noisy. <br/>Staff are nice and friendly. The service was a bit slow. We had our coffees in a short time and I love the cappuccino. It was beautiful. Breakfast was nice too. <br/>I would give 4.5/5 for food, 5/5 for staff and 3/5 for the place. I don’t know what happened to the App that I can’t choose 3.5 and the rating is only in whole numbers.

Absolutely terrible and disgusting. Service station food and service station service! Our table of 8 was provided with one menu. We were told on a Sunday there was no avocado. We waited 20 minutes to have our order taken but no one came so we went and put it in ourselves. There was no pepper on the table. Add flys and a dirty grotty feel & you have it here. Don't waste your time!

Came in around 9.30am on a Saturday morning, service was a bit slow considering it was quite empty when we arrived. Coffee was quite sweet, and the food itself was average - standard cafe fare (but quite expensive for what it was I think). General consensus was that our food was quite creamy/rich (we had all gotten some variation of eggs benny) which was filling but not particularly exciting in terms of flavour. <br/>Pretty solid but probably won't be revisiting

We enjoyed a lovely brunch here today. Staff were friendly, drinks and meals were ordered and delivered in a timely manner. There was a slight issue with one of our news however when we reluctantly mentioned it to the staff upon paying, they quickly responded by taking the price of that meal off our bill! You don't get that much these days! Will definitely come back again :) delish food, relaxed atmosphere and wonderful staff.

I found this place on Zomato. Great coffee hit to start a family motorbike ride to Byron for father's day. Will come back for sure and try the dinner menu.
Reanna Colefax
I came here with a friend for her birthday and we both had an awesome experience. The food was outstanding and the customer service was amazing. I wanted to show my partner so I returned the following week and it still met my expectations!
S.K
Enjoyed our lunch here. I especially like how they took care of the food they delivered to customers. The onions in the burger were fried and tasted good. The pickles in the burger tasted good too but not too strong in flavour. Each ingredient in the burger balanced well. We rated the burger 4.5-5/5. The calamari had was fresh and all the vegetables in the salad were marinated with sauce and cut in a suitable size. This dish was rated 4/5. The other dish with avocado and sour dough was pretty average but generous in proportion, which was rated 3.5/5 by us. The coffee we had was average not impressive though. Service was pretty good and overall it is a place we'd like to recommend and go back.

Coffee was nice but everything was just super expensive for what it was and equally underwhelming. <br/><br/>As there were no vegan options (this isn't that uncommon and generally not an issue) my vegan friend ordered the veggie breakfast without egg (grilled tofu, toast, tomatoes, spinach and avocado.) Took ages to be served, And when it was they had replaced the tofu with a stack of halloumi. Vegan or not, cafes should probably tell all customers if they have changed the menu, especially since the waiter taking the order knew my friend couldn't eat dairy before the meal was chosen. The waiter offered to remove it but since they had taken so long to bring it out she just didn't care at this point. <br/><br/>Her meal was still the full price of $18 and just super disappointing.
Scrambled Ebs
This was my second Saturday morning breakfast at Foxy Bean. This morning was relatively busy though there were still tables free. My partner and I ordered coffees and there was a noticeable wait for them. Today the boyfriend just wanted a plain breakfast so he ordered the "Eggs Your Way" (fried) with added bacon and potato rosti. I went with the Haloumi Bruschetta. We had a bottle of water brought to the table upon arrival which we had almost finished before the coffees arrived (we are thirsty people!). Of the 2-3 times waitresses were at our table, no one noticed. Yes, we could have asked but we didn't. The coffees arrived, minus spoons, which is okay I guess considering we both don't take sugar. The meals came out in reasonable time - not super fast but we had nowhere to be. My partner paid $4 extra for potato rostis but received 3 hash browns. He had thought he was ordering rostis as in grated fried potatoes. He normally wouldn't order hash browns so I think that item should be renamed. Aside from that, he enjoyed his simple breakfast. Mine was tasty and large. One thing I can say is their meals are value for money. Decent offering of thick, soft, grilled haloumi with onions, mushrooms and tomatoes on sourdough. Small amount of thinly sliced chorizo. The food is solidly good, not great. We also ordered a take away coffee to go and despite writing it down, the order of medium extra shot take away arrived a while later as a small single shot in a cup. The service is friendly but somewhat slow and inattentive. We would still return if we were in the vicinity again and if we found a park easily (circled the block 3 times before parking 2 blocks away!!).

Inside of the cafe looks good and original, friendly stuff.<br/>We were a group of six , we ordered a different food for the brunch. The quality of food was ok (not wow!) with decent size great coffee, however we had to wait for about an hour to have the food on the table 😐😤 we were a bit upset while waiting and when we asked them why it has taken so long, they said because we're too busy today!
Georgia Tyler
Were told on a Sunday morning that there would be a wait on food, which we were totally fine with, but an 1+ hour wait for breakfast, without any further contact from staff, is just really not acceptable. We were moved from our original table due to a reservation, with no apology. <br/><br/>After an hour once we finally received our food, I had to send mine back as it was incorrect. <br/><br/>While the others in our small group enjoyed their food, it definitely wasn't worthy of such a wait. <br/><br/>The only redeeming quality was one waitress with good customer service. All other staff were horrible, not one apology for the wait and extreme sass. <br/><br/>I never leave bad reviews, but this whole experience just really wasn't acceptable. Extremely disappointed and definitely will not be back again!

We've been here for brunch on a weekday twice. The coffee mugs are huge and taste great. There's also not many people late in the morning, so go then if you need some quiet. Eggs on toast is perfect and the big breakfast is just enough. The place itself is cute, though the inside is a bit too dimly lit for me and the tables outside have been sticky from the alcohol. Otherwise, totally recommend.

A close friend recently changed jobs and started working at Woolloongabba, being a new local in the area, he was able to give me quite a few good tips on where to find good food nearby. With that in mind, one of the first things he texted me when he got there was that Foxy Bean was a definite must go, so off I went for a weekend brunch. Deciding to stroll there from the Mater Hill station seemed to be an easy feat when loking on google maps, but the hike turned out to be far more intense than I had thought.

Came here for Friday night drinks with my partner. Lots of room, especially the outdoors lounge out at the back. Excellent drinks selection. Our waitress was bubbly and made us feel extremely welcome. An excellent option for pre-dinner drinks. Will be back for more, and perhaps try the food too.<br/><br/>CHAPTER II: Finally returned for some breakfast with my partner. Had the 'Bushman's Benedict' and 'Banana Scallops'. Highly recommend both for those favouring savoury and sweet respectively. Good portions and full of flavour! Would love to have tried a breakfast cocktail too, if we weren't working that afternoon. Service was friendly and efficient. Foxy Bean may well and truly be a new Gabba favourite!
Elmocookie
Had the pulled pork and beef cheek with poached eggs. What a filling breakfast! Also tried out the waffles. Couldn't really taste the mint or sweet potato in it!

Have been here twice for breakfast with my partner and we loved it on both occasions. In fact, we loved it so much on the first thar we both order the exact same meals on the second! The falafel meal for myself (with added feta which I definitely recommend!), and the big breakfast for my birthday partner. Yummy milkshakes also!<br/><br/>The second visit we came at around 7am on a Saturday morning; I'd recommend heading in early as it can get quite busy!
Sam
Fantastic atmosphere and incredible coffee. We went there with friends for my wife's birthday and without saying a word the manager bought out a bottle of champagne for us all on the house. We would definitely recommend this great cafe!

I've been here's few times for breakfast and I've really enjoyed it - many options available and all are cooked extremely well. The tomato chutney they give as a side for many of their breakfast dishes is absolutely delicious! I would give a higher rating, except on the occasion I went for lunch and tried one of their burgers it was quite greasy - I consider myself a burger eater and even by my standards this was a little too oily. On another positive note, the wait staff are very friendly and the Irish manager brings a lively atmosphere to the place. Overall Foxy Bean offers a pleasant dining experience.

Each and every one of the 5 dishes we ordered at breakfast were AMAZING. Great staff and 5/5 coffee. Such nice decor and great music selection too.
Ashleigh
Had a pretty average experience here; Friday lunch and we all ordered burgers that were bland and dry (but still greasy?). Had a lukewarm piccolo and staff never cleared our table. Pics of their brekkies look so good; might have just been a bad day for them.
Morris
Usually busy on Saturday mornings (when I went here) and had a bit of a longer wait on some coffee. Atmosphere is a touch more formal than the coffee shop it looks like from the outside. Staff were pleasant and the food was nice.
Ella
Went here for a late breakfast on Monday with a friend and her little girl. The place was busy with dine-ins and takeaways but service was quick and the wait time on both food and drinks was really fast! The feta and zucchini fritters are simply amazing and the mango smoothie was such a good serving and cold!! Great atmosphere and I'll be back.
Rachael
Breakfast is pretty good and menu gives lots of options. Service is friendly. Nice atmosphere albeit a bit warm out the back. Recommended to anyone and I'll be back.
DanT7
Nice casual feel. Coffee great. Frappe very refreshing. Enjoyed breakfast. Variety in breakfast menu good. Good service. Food came out pretty quickly. Comfy seating.
Captainshaft
Recently only just discovered this from my usual coffee place. I am really glad I found it!!! The coffee here is excellent even when it's compared to some of the tough breakfast competitors within this area. Their breakfast is also very good! A great atmosphere for those wanting to enjoy a good cuppa!
Luke Danaher
I want to love this place - it's big, relaxed, and local. The problem is that the menu needs a bit of work in terms of variety and pricing. The French toast is excellent and the scrambled eggs with bacon a staple. If they threw in a few more options in the $15 bracket and a few more complex dishes, they would have a cracker of a brekkie venue.
Ronnielui2003
This café located not far from the Smug Fig. I was attracted by its deco when I first stepped in the dining area. Friendly waitress efficiently took my drink order and left me to have a perusal on the menu. Ordered the Chorizo Peperonata and it came with a large portions. Love the coffee because Genovese coffee is one of my favourites. Poached eggs were perfectly done and the mixed capsicums with chorizo was another surprised to me. Although it seemed slightly greasy, the toasted Turkish bread underneath the stack absorbed them all. Overall, it was a pleasant breakfast.

Looking for a relaxed weekend breakfast ? Keep driving.<br/><br/>Surroundings and food just OK , we went for a<br/>breakfast with friends and the noise was a real turnoff. <br/>Bad screeching music played really loud is not what I want for my casual Sunday morning . <br/>As everyone knows it just makes people talk louder and louder, than its bedlam! <br/>We asked for it to be turned down, but...<br/>They seem to be trying really hard to be hip.<br/>Food was nothing I couldn't get somewhere else with a calmer environment.

Went for lunch today and will not be returning. <br/>On arrival my husband and I were told to wait, waiter then came to us with a rubbish bag in his hand and told us to 'just sit anywhere'. Waitress handed us menus and water then walked away. First item on the lunch menu was the daily special (still have no idea what it was). Waited nearly 10mins before anyone took our order, 2 fish and chips. I went to the ladies and returned to find meal delivered and drinks menu left on table. Fish was so dry it was virtually inedible, lon wedges weren't much better. Who ever thought caraway would be nice on chips were so wrong. Slaw tasted like it came from Woolworths, but was the only moist thing on the plate apart from the chunky tartare sauce. We were told to wait again when we went to pay, waiter walked off with no explanation. Wish we had bought all the items from Woolworths, would probably have been tastier and no z grade service
Mitchell.kingston
A really nice interior with plenty of room and a great vibe. There's a lot of competition for brunch in the Gabba but Foxy Bean is one of the best. They've got just about the best bacon going around and the halloumi bruschetta is a stand out. The coffee, juices, and smoothies are also excellent.
Kelsey Sweeney
Pretty average breakfast... I got the The Business which is basically a big breakfast. All of the food was very bland, nothing special or different about the meal. Mushrooms were dry and weird. <br/><br/>The last time I went to this place a year ago it was awesome. Maybe there has been a change of management or something. Really friendly fast service though!
Joanne Brennan
We held my husbands 50th Birthday Party here in January and we were soo impressed with the service, food, price and hospitality of the staff and the manager Tam. Nothing was too much trouble and they were very accommodating with my requests. Our guests haven't stopped telling us what a fabulous night it was and how fantastic the venue was.<br/>I would have no hesitation in recommending the Foxy Bean to anyone who needs a nice little funky venue to host a function.
Rebecca
A great little spot of brunch with efficient service. I tried the bushmans Benedict which was a nice change to the traditional. I can see myself coming back for lunch or dinner when I run out of Brisbane locations to eat in.
Sarah Jane Coates
Can't go past the Bushmans Benedict! Comboed with a smoothie (which are Devine I must say) foxy bean needs to be on everyone's must visit list!<br/>Good little venue with great/friendly staff!
Jase.b.cox
I live in the local area and have been to Foxy Bean a handful of times now. The breakfast menu has a good variety and the food is nice. The only downfall is that every time I have been here once seated the service is very slow even when not busy. Often people who walk in after you get served first when you have been ready to order for quite some time and this is extremely frustrating! If this issue was resolved it would be one of my favourite breakfast cafes.
M Franks
Sadly I will not return. I have been here before, it was very busy, so we cut the service staff a bit of slack. Yes, the decor is cool and coffee is good. But we went today - Christmas Eve, it was not busy, so we got a better impression of things. The staff were not attentive, it was difficult to get their attention on more than one occasion. My pregnant wife is not able to eat raw egg, so I kindly asked to cook her scrambled eggs just a little bit more. It was such an imposition for them because the waiter returned from the kitchen saying the chef "could not" return the eggs to the pan, and that we would have to pay for another meal. The best I could convince him to put them<br/>In the microwave for a few seconds. Not very accommodating - customer service is so simple, and results in return business. <br/>Also the waitress got confused with out drink order bringing us 3 coffees for two people.<br/>I just expect a little better standard when paying $50 for breakfast for two people.
PleasantPeristalsis
Foxy Bean is my favourite place to take my loved ones for brunch. The coffee is great and food is amazing. The menu is rather familiar but each dish has a little bit of exciting twist. My favourite so far was the salmon hash cakes on special menu.
HotPotato
The coffee at Foxy Bean was one of the best I've had in Brisbane, so good I got two. Unfortunately both took a very long time to arrive (the staff did acknowledge this and kindly comped my second coffee). Also dawdled a bit with our breakfast - 40mins is a long time to wait for pre-noon food. Luckily a friend was back from interstate and we had lots to catch up on. <br/><br/>My eggs benedict was perfectly adequate with nicely poached eggs. A couple of minor quibbles (as by that time I had near spectacular expectations), the hollandaise sauce was a tad too vinegary and the single slice of sourdough it was served on could have frankly been bigger. Or thicker. I noticed my friends both received generous portions, so likely just got the pointy end of the loaf. Sad face. I like bread. <br/><br/>Overall, props for the fantastic coffee and good service. Wouldn't recommend if you're in a hurry.
Amy Leighton
A small wait on a Sunday, but expertly managed by staff (taking names, coming back with regular updates), people never mind waiting a little bit if someone keeps you in the loop! very attentive wait staff, a nice change to be honest. had the bubble n squeak and all Delish! Great brekky spot and we will be back 😀
Andrew Latimer
Excellent feed for Sunday brunch. Great value and super tasty. Had "The Business" , all was cooked to order. Coffee was delicious also. Great service, will be back for more!
Brendan
Absolutely love the Foxy Bean. Such a good choice of brunch options and there's an awesome beer garden out the back for a lazy Sunday brunch. The service is fast for such a big place and the meals are delicious.
Patrick
Can't say I give out 5's very often but this place deserves every bit of it. It has a great outdoor enclosed eating area out the back which is definitely the place to be. We went here for brunch and the food and coffee were both perfect. Service was friendly and quick and the prices were great for what you get. Funky atmosphere in the cafe and will definitely go back here again. I can't deduct for this but would love to see the Vegetarian Big Brekky return or even the Haloumi Brekky that used to be on the menu!
Sophie
I have been here for breakfast and dinner and enjoyed both. Great for a casual drink in the afternoon and tapas is nice. Breakfast portion sizes are quite large. Service is good.
Isa Matt Franks
Love this place. Great atmosphere, tasty food and beautifully made coffee. Good service even when they are busy. Best place for a weekend brekkie/brunch in Brisbane.
Master Critic
Used to be half decent, things have gone down hill though. Staff are just plain rude and incompetent, the quality of the produce being served has seriously deteriorated. Would rather give my money to someone more appreciative. Don't bother coming here...
Ssxs_1990
Super slow service. Came in on a Sunday morning, the wait for the table was not too bad. However, when we got to the table, there was no menus or water served. We waited for 15 minutes to get the attention of the waitress and was told that they were busy and to wait. Someone came to get our orders for coffee a few minutes later and said that she will come back with the menu and water. 5 minutes later, was given menu and cups without water! Waited to see if water was coming but didn't.. We had to approach the waiter for water and to take our orders... <br/>Haven't started my brunch and already tired. I Understand that it's busy but service shouldn't be compromised . otherwise, like the decor & menu choices.
Susievplant
So impressed. In the emerging cafe scene in brisbane where everyone is trying to out-fancy everyone else, it's good to know foxy bean are there with quality, delicious, boutique and refined takes on classics when all you want in the world is an eggs benny. Best banana smoothie in brisbane too. Very impressed. Can't wait to return.
Kassie-Michelle
Favourite place in Brisbane. Foxy Bean is a such a delight! It's my favourite cafe in Brisbane and I know I'm always going to get a great meal with friendly service. I am there for breakfast most weekends and it never fails to put a smile on my face! Coffee is delicious (they use Bonsoy- my favourite!!!) and atmosphere is relaxed and hip. I recommend it to everyone I know! Never fails to disappoint :)

What at absolute gem! Visite.... What an absolute gem! Visited this cafe in our neighborhood for brekky and food was gorgeous and delicious! Even just looking at our neighboring cafe goers meal was mouth watering. The restaurant itself is cosy and inviting, quirky and funky in some areas but still managing to pull off the cute. A private function here would be ideal for any occasion. Staff were also attentive and not once did we need to get anyone's attention. Would love to come back for lunch and dinner. Keep up the good work!
Jessica Brisbane Foodie
Awful. Terrible coffee and atrocious service. I have been here once for breakfast and this morning for coffee. The service was so so so bad and my partner and I felt so uncomfortable. We ordered take away coffee and I literally took one sip and I threw it out. Such an awful experience. I will take my money elsewhere. If you don't want to work, don't work but don't take it out on innocent customers.
For The Love Of Food
Love this place! coffee was fast and good(although a little lukewarm) and the breakfast menu is so good it's hard to choose what to go for! definitely be back after discovering this little gem today!
Alexclarke80
Great service, great good. The food and coffee is consistently good at foxy. Very popular on a Saturday and Sunday morning because of this. We have tried plenty of other breakfast spots but always come back to foxy. Staff are always friendly and efficient.
Allyson Lindsay
Great venue. Delicious food. Fantastic service. Lovely wine selection.
Brisfoodle
Good service, not good food. My friend and I were greeted well and taken to a lovely table out the back, the servers were charismatic and efficient. However, the smoked chicken "brioche" and the wagyu burger we ordered were terrible. The chicken "brioche" was so dry I could barely eat it, it came with a lacklustre salad with no dressing or flavour and chips (the chips were the best part) while my friends wagyu mince patty were barely cooked, medium rare would have been fine but these were rare. I won't be going back based on this dining experience.
Lukejoshua
Best breakfast in Brisbane. Nice area out back
Justanothercustomer
We always really enjoy going to foxy bean. its just such a good brekky place. tasty food... reasonably priced, the weekends are always busy that makes for a lively atmosphere, where you can just sit back and enjoy the coffee while waiting for the food to arrive.
Samuel Carroll
Has to go down as my number 1 breakfast place. The food is always incredible and I'm never left feeling anything but satisfied. However I give them the most points for service, it's how it should be everywhere these guys get what hospitality is about. 10/10
Alice Santos
Terrible. I had the haloumi on sourdough with avo and while it wasn't bad, the food wasn't anything to write home about. The coffee was ok. Now, I probably would've enjoyed my experience here a lot better if only the service was better. The staff member didnt wipe down the filth on the table and just used her hands to get the mess out of the way, didnt know what respecting people's space meant, general unfriendly attitude, very impolite and seemed like she really didnt want to be there. Come on, it's Labour Day, you might not want to be working BUT we customers are paying the 15% public holiday surcharge, I'm not just paying for the food - I'm paying for the cafe experience. This young blonde, wavy haired girl with her hair pulled back working today just completely ruined my experience for me. I don't want to waste my hard earned money to be treated like crap. I expect a LOT better than this. I might have come here again but I will never because of this one staff member that clearly needs a lesson or two in customer service. I'm going to tell all of my friends and family about how disappointing this place was.
Dana Smith
Not worth the hype! We had eaten our entire breakfast before our coffee was even served to us... Cold! Bacon & egg roll would have tasted better & been a lot cheaper at McDonalds. Extremely disappointed.
Hilary Weeks
Consistently Great!. One of my favourite breakfast spots, good coffee, good service, good food and fair prices.

Standout in a Sea of Sameness. I've been annoyed recently with how many cafe's and restaurants in Brisbane let me down. I've left a few places recently really annoyed with staff, food and coffee. Foxy Bean is Amazing! I liked it so much, I went twice last weekend. Bushman's Benedict is unique, a massive serve, and most importantly delicious. I have a bit of a thing for Genovese coffee, and these guys do it well. If you want a guaranteed good breakfast and coffee go here.

Love It!. Foxy Bean is always great for a late breakfast, and I always make the point of going here whenever family comes to visit. Delicious relish that makes avocado with poached eggs to die for!<br/>Great, friendly staff that must have a hard time dealing with so many customers! Usually busy, but I don't mind waiting 5 or 10 minutes to get a seat when the food is this good!

Memorable 21st Birthday. Recently had my 21st birthday in the inside area of the Foxy Bean. I could not be happier with the service received. The staff were friendly and always communicating with me and the food was delicious. Plenty to go around and left everyone full. Overall a great atmosphere. :)

Good, big breakfast and nice coffee. Very fast service and great atmosphere. Only downside is lack of parking, but that's Brisbane!

Wow! Thanks so much for a wonderful breakfast. Coffee - perfect (really!).. Food great. And nice to visit a Brisbane cafe with great service - greeted with massive smiles by no less than three staff on arrival. Food and coffees all very fast despite being busy on a Sunday morning. Look forward to visiting again.

Give it a miss, they have lost the plot. As shift workers we have been regulars for breakfast we have been here hundreds of times but times have changed. Foxy has become pretentious and full of themselves. Give it a miss, there are plenty of better places with friendly helpful staff who are happy to deliver service rather than bad attitude...oh and by the way foxy, generally most places are happy to split the bill or go just that little bit further if asked. Sorry to interrupt your staff meeting or whatever that was, clearly that is way more important that dealing with your loyal customers. Don't worry, we won't be back, loyal customers no more. And to all those we have recommended you too, you will be un-recommended just as easily.

I really like this place. The venue is eclectic and comfortable and the staff are friendly and professional. We ordered toast and peanut butter for our daughter and it was such a generous serve and the bread was gorgeous. My Haloumi breakfast was tasty with lovely dressing and also generous was my husband's 'The Business' breakfast. Highly recommend this place.

Love it.. Consistently an enjoyable experience whether for a takeaway coffee, a sit down with friends over a meal, or to listen to some great live music. Great coffee, friendly staff and lively atmosphere.

Great gondola and iced coffee ! Very friendly staff too. Love the little Stanley street cafe corner. Will be back

Overrated. Boring menu and food is sub standard. Loads better places in Brisbane.

Favourite breakfast venue in Brisbane. I've only been here for breakfast, but this place continues to deliver excellent quality food with great service. With a menu catering for all tastes, it's a hard choice every time knowing what great food will come out of the kitchen. The quality of produce is exceptional. Despite having to wait for tables during busy periods over the weekend, the staff manage a wait list so quickly and efficiently that it's never an issue. It's lovely and cool inside on a hot day with the high ceilings and lovely decor. I am very impressed!

Really cool interior. Brunch was so delicious! Would also be great for Sunday drinks in their outside area at the back. Will be back!

Coffee like....baked eggs meh. Went there Saturday morning for a friend catch up. There were 6 of us and although I had to park a few streets away (the exercise was good for a sat morning) we were seated pretty quickly. Waitress was quick to take our orders and the food was delivered in good time and all together. My coffee was nice and hot but unfortunately I just didnt feel it with the baked eggs. Baked in a lovely little cast iron pot with chirizo, mushrooms, onions and sweet potato, but it just lacked seasoning, spice.. it lacked punch. I wouldnt order the baked eggs again but my friends savoury mince certainly looked the treat. FYI it also gets very hot outside with no fans, would I go back again?? Possibly but im not in a rush

Tasty food. OK, amateur service. Sticky tables. Greasy, slippery floor. Bad parking.

Always Good. We come here for breakfast almost every week. I never get tired of ordering the Eggs Benny. The food and service are consistently good. We occasionally try other places but find ourselves coming back time and time again.

Foxy Bean is a busy noisy cafe that serves great coffee and fab food.<br/>Their breakfast menu is inspired and delish. All the usual options are there too as well as gluten free and vegetarian options.<br/>Service is quick, friendly.<br/>They're always busy but you never feel rushed.<br/>We love Foxys - it's our favourite suburban cafe for breakfast...<br/><br/><br/>-----23 Nov, 2013-----<br/><br/>This great little place had doubled in size over the last couple of years.<br/>Unfortunately parking in the area has worsened.<br/>They do an excellent breakfast but of course you can't book so after the stress of parking you have to stand on the footpath waiting for a table.<br/>Late morning is best- crowds have cleared, no wait and it's all generally more pleasant.<br/>Food is great/ interesting breakfast choices, very good coffee.<br/>Definitely the place if you aren't in a rush and can go a little later in the morning for brunch!<br/>Friendly staff, huge comfy sofa!
Ianloveshisfood
Stunning... decor is beautiful, very friendly relaxed down to earth vibe. Food & coffee both excellent and staff couldn't have been more friendly or efficient. Best Saturday breakfast we've ever had in Brisbane (out of many). Will definitely remember this one!

Went here for the first time this weekend. Loved it so much I went again Sunday! <br/>Great atmosphere, friendly staff, dog-friendly! Food is a bit pricey and there is a little wait for your food but again, because of the atmosphere, I didn't really notice the wait.
Kate
YES!. I go here almost every Sunday or Saturday morning!<br/>Worth every cent spent here!!! Honestly, If you're looking for a GOOD breakfast you need to try out the Foxy Bean! <br/>Go the bushman's benny with a coffee to your liking and your weekend will be smooth sailing from then on!!

My husband labelled this place "the best breakfast he has had in years"...great food, great service and I love the decor! Had a little mishap with our juices and without saying a thing there was no charge on our bill, service at its best :)
Henry
Friendly, efficient, & delicious breakfast!<br/>We will be back... We had a lovely brunch on a busy Saturday with our toddler (which can be a challenge) We were made to feel very welcome & staff, food & coffee were GREAT!

I love great food. Foxy is great , it feals like a little bit of europe when you taste thier delights , its unfortunate that the staff are great beside from the dreadlocks guy <br/><br/>i will probably never go back from the rude management <br/><br/>great foodies treat tho an absolute breakfast must for one time only if you appreciate great service
Simon
Great Breaky.. Went early on a Friday morning and found the venue quiet and excellent service. Great setup and service. Coffee served in a flash as well as baby cino. I tried the B Benny which to be honest thought was bordering on TOO big, I did however eat the lot!. Wife loved the granola and our 2 year devoured her poached egg, ate some of mine and sourdough extra. Will return
Grace
Really likes it! I had the Bushman's Benny. Whoa what a meal. Massive and delicious! I finished eating around 11.30am and literally was not hungry until about 7pm, just in time for dinner. I definitely recommend sharing if your stomach is as small as mine haha! Also had a soy latte which was absolutely delightful! So glad we bought in the area seven years ago haha! Go to Foxy Bean, you won't regret it!
Belinda
Absolutely gorgeous . The atmosphere is superb. Food creative and fun.

Really really good food, nice service, great coffee, awesome atmosphere! Definitely worth coming back

Oustanding service and great food!. My partner and I went to Foxy Bean for breakfast last Saturday. The food was fantastic! I had the savoury mince and my partner had the eggs benedict with foxy beans. Yum! Very generous portions as well. It has a wonderful atmosphere out the back under the covered pergola.<br/><br/>In terms of service, I have to give a special mention to Jerry. He is one of the nicest people I've ever met in the service industry! I had a bit of a daft moment at breakfast and ended up leaving some orthdontic invisalign plates wrapped up in a napkin on my table which obviously got thrown in the bin after I left! I remembered about 45mins later and when I went back in to look for them Jerry helped me wade through rubbish bags out the back until we found them. What a star! I can't think of any other place that would actually stop to help me like that during it's peak breakfast rush, let alone wading through rubbish bags! Everyone at Foxy Bean is so genuine and makes you feel relaxed and welcome, something that is increasingly rare at food establishments these days. We will definitely be making it one of our regular spots.
