Breakfast of champions. Great food good coffee. Great relaxing atmosphere. Had not been here for a while. Still the best breakfast in east Brisbane in my opinion š
Wow! What an awesome experience we have had at Foxy Bean these past few days. Wednesday afternoon my friend and I had the best hospitality from Gerry that we could ever imagine, complete with bubbles, the most amazing calamari and fries, Thursday morning we held our first Bob ( Business over Breakfast) club at Foxy Bean, breakfast for 14 business professionals and Thursday night drinks. The food was amazing, the staff were friendly and professional and the service was brilliant. Thanks Gerry, Tam and Ben. You out did yourselves and I am totally looking forward to a long term successful business relationship. ļæ½ļæ½ļæ½
Being a long time visitor to Brisbane I've often been disappointed with the lack of really good cafes that consistently deliver.
Foxy Bean, however ticks all the boxes with happy friendly staff, great coffees and really good food.
Only visit for breakfasts when the occasion suits and always leave happy.
Iāve been coming to the Foxy sporadically for about six years. Never disappointed. Food is always fantastic. The settings are interesting and kooky. Sometimes the service is a bit slow, but itās busy on the weekends so thatās fair enough.
Itās near the Gabba and you can walk to games easily.
Parking can be a bit tricky so be prepared that you may have to walk a little bit.
They also have a liquor licence (but Iāve never been for a drink...)
We visited this cafe for breakfast.
Itās a nice cafe but very noisy.
Staff are nice and friendly. The service was a bit slow. We had our coffees in a short time and I love the cappuccino. It was beautiful. Breakfast was nice too.
I would give 4.5/5 for food, 5/5 for staff and 3/5 for the place. I donāt know what happened to the App that I canāt choose 3.5 and the rating is only in whole numbers.
We enjoyed a lovely brunch here today. Staff were friendly, drinks and meals were ordered and delivered in a timely manner. There was a slight issue with one of our news however when we reluctantly mentioned it to the staff upon paying, they quickly responded by taking the price of that meal off our bill! You don't get that much these days! Will definitely come back again :) delish food, relaxed atmosphere and wonderful staff.
I found this place on Zomato. Great coffee hit to start a family motorbike ride to Byron for father's day. Will come back for sure and try the dinner menu.
I came here with a friend for her birthday and we both had an awesome experience. The food was outstanding and the customer service was amazing. I wanted to show my partner so I returned the following week and it still met my expectations!
Enjoyed our lunch here. I especially like how they took care of the food they delivered to customers. The onions in the burger were fried and tasted good. The pickles in the burger tasted good too but not too strong in flavour. Each ingredient in the burger balanced well. We rated the burger 4.5-5/5. The calamari had was fresh and all the vegetables in the salad were marinated with sauce and cut in a suitable size. This dish was rated 4/5. The other dish with avocado and sour dough was pretty average but generous in proportion, which was rated 3.5/5 by us. The coffee we had was average not impressive though. Service was pretty good and overall it is a place we'd like to recommend and go back.
We've been here for brunch on a weekday twice. The coffee mugs are huge and taste great. There's also not many people late in the morning, so go then if you need some quiet. Eggs on toast is perfect and the big breakfast is just enough. The place itself is cute, though the inside is a bit too dimly lit for me and the tables outside have been sticky from the alcohol. Otherwise, totally recommend.
A close friend recently changed jobs and started working at Woolloongabba, being a new local in the area, he was able to give me quite a few good tips on where to find good food nearby. With that in mind, one of the first things he texted me when he got there was that Foxy Bean was a definite must go, so off I went for a weekend brunch. Deciding to stroll there from the Mater Hill station seemed to be an easy feat when loking on google maps, but the hike turned out to be far more intense than I had thought.
Came here for Friday night drinks with my partner. Lots of room, especially the outdoors lounge out at the back. Excellent drinks selection. Our waitress was bubbly and made us feel extremely welcome. An excellent option for pre-dinner drinks. Will be back for more, and perhaps try the food too.
CHAPTER II: Finally returned for some breakfast with my partner. Had the 'Bushman's Benedict' and 'Banana Scallops'. Highly recommend both for those favouring savoury and sweet respectively. Good portions and full of flavour! Would love to have tried a breakfast cocktail too, if we weren't working that afternoon. Service was friendly and efficient. Foxy Bean may well and truly be a new Gabba favourite!

Service was quick, but our request for icecream forgotten. The food wasnāt bad, but wasnāt fantastic either. The coffee was only just warm.. One too many disappointments for us to warrant returning.
Update: Second experience was much better, although we didnāt try the coffee again. Staff were still a bit slow but what we assumed was the owner was very prompt on our drinks! š
This cafe is such a good place to go for breakfast. The food was amazing, it may be pricey but it is worth the money. The staff here was so friendly and the service was great. This cafe has a great old fashioned vibe. Can definitely say it's the best eggs Benedict in Brisbane
Came here on a Saturday morning, just before midday. Got a table easily and the staff attended to the table pretty quickly. Breakfast meal and coffee were tasty. Only criticism was that I ordered some poached eggs with breakfast and one was perfectly cooked and the other was well done. Consistency was a bit strange. Otherwise good experience - nice decor, attentive staff and good food.
With, The Gabba Cafe Wars, in full swing, you still cannot beat one of the long lived very originals, The Foxy Bean. Great menu, great coffee, great staff, great space, just a great vibe about it all round. After 22 years of living and operating my business in The Gabba, I've seen so many cafes, come and go, or operate with a revolving door of owners and name changes. Gerry and his authentically ever upbeat team always please. The new spring menu has many delicious offerings, try the Spanish Fried Rice for breakfast :-)! Highly recommended

Give this venue a whirl as the food is great. Decent coffee and great service. The interior takes you to another world with great wall art and a quirky Devore.
Funky atmosphere especially around dinner time . . . the Chef seemed like a genuine fellow . . . makes me feel good about the food he creates . . . also, my 3yo son loved discovering all the little unique areas which made our experience less stressful.
Nice cafe, food is nothing fancy, but solid, little on the pricy side. Eggs Benny was good for my hangover šŖ
