Came in for dinner during the week and it was amazing, well done on a lovely place can't wait to come back and try more of the menu.
Simply WOW. The zuchini flowers were to die for. The pizza, well worth travelling from Victoria to try it.
Nice atmosphere - the fireplace oven was pretty cool and the seating options were cozy but not to close.
Friendly staff - they were quite flexible in letting us split the bill 4-ways.
Food was a tad pricey for the portion sizes, but the carafe-sized cocktail (we got the sangria) was pretty good value - it was about $35 for about 6 short glasses.

Salad was a bit small but fair priced. Could use some more leafy greens. The pizza was 10/10 delicious. Would recommend.
Took my husband here for a date night - he is a bit fan of pizza and can therefore be very fussy! He absolutely loved the Tinderbox pizza, and ate every last piece while I enjoyed a vegetarian risotto. Great atmosphere and wonderful service too
Woodfired pizza perfection. "Tinderbox" pizza with prawns is delicious, light, simple. Pizza shouldn't be complicated. I love the flavours. The dough and crust is my favourite! Too good to pass up. No regrets.
One Thursday evening, a group of us booked a table half an hour in advance. It was surprisingly busy but staff were happy and had drinks to our table promptly. The atmosphere is quite nice although the carpark is near to the tables and guests are shone with an uncomfortable bright light every time someone leaves. The woodfired pizza was excellent and the courgettes were to die for. My Sicilian boyfriend says it's in his top 10 in Brisbane. We will definitely be coming back here.
Our table was booked online and we arrived to be seated. The waiter brought drink menu and water to the table. Great menu divided into small plates, mains, sides and wood fired pizzas.
The entrees looked good but we came to sample the famous pizza so decided to leave room for one each. A glass of proseco per person helped us decide. I had the Mooloolaba prawn, zucchini and rocket. My friend chose the pumpkin and zucchini flower. Another glass of Pinot washed the pizzas down. Service was fun and attentive and we vowed to return to try the delicious looking entrees next time.
Celebrated our daughters birthday at Tinderbox last night. We all enjoyed ourselves very much. Shared plates and pizza. The best pizza we have had outside Milan. Choice of Italian wine extremely delicious. Excellant service and surroundings. Would definitely recommend.
Was a great experience dining here. The food was well presented with a nice selection to choose from, including share plates. The cocktail that we indulged in was very tasty! The safe where lovely and very welcoming. Strongly suggest going here if you are on James street doing some shopping
I love this place. Warm welcome and personable attention. Casual vibe yet some nice touches that elevate this above just another pizza experience. Oh, and the pizza - perfect !! Wood fired, slightly charred, crisp base, authentic toppings. Arancini balls were great too, plus other thoughtful dishes to try. Look forward to returning again.
A very pleasant experience which included delicious food that was full of flavour, attentive and friendly service and a great all round restaurant atmosphere. Will be back!
Worth the visit for the staff as well as the food. Delicious pizzas and desserts. Hard to go for any other pizza once you’ve enjoyed their pizza.
My wife and I had a meal here with our newborn daughter. It was a very hot day and we needed somewhere clean and cozy within which to have a good solid genuine meal. We weren’t looking for fancy (our daughter was, at the time, four weeks old), but we wanted quality. This was to be my wife’s first true food adventure since giving birth, and she wanted a grand glass of wine.
Happily, the restaurant was very accommodating. The staff were all pleasant and welcoming, and each part of the meal was excellent. My wife’s rose was superb, and I think that the cuttlefish dish was possibly the best we have ever had. The pizza was excellent. The salad - it was ok. But we got it for the greenery. The fog and haloumi was good but a touch under seasoned. But really, we were happy with the entire meal.
Thanks also to the staff who turned a simple lunch into something special. Thank you!
Laid back and easy going restaurant with good flavors and good prices. You won't have to go to MacDonald's after eating here, food portions aren't too generous, but if you order well you'll hit the right spot. 1 main meal each and a pizza to share will fill you.
The food was great and staff super friendly. We organised for a group and had a set menu ready for our Christmas lunch. Drinks were great too, definitely recommended for an easy night out 🎉
Wow! Wow! Wow! This place is amazing! Started off with such a warm and friendly welcome then the food!!!! We were served quickly and the wait staff were so attentive, filling our glasses as soon as they were emptying, chatty and welcoming.
Very generous portions and flavourful. The only slight negative comment would be that the food was a little under seasoned, but they had salt on the table which you can add.
But amazing presentation and flavours.
Definitely will be back very soon with friends and family!!!
Food was appetising and flavourful. Slightly overpriced. They have nice selection of cocktails. The wood fire pizza taste good. Their prawn risotto was the best but it has been taken off the menu and replaced with scallop risotto but it tastes pretty much like green peas (they over did it!).
Very friendly and attentive staff. Good pizza but dough was dry. The mushroom arancini were delicious. Short but good wine list.
