Review Little Sista Cafe - Brisbane

Chris Macer
A nice little cafe in the inner-suburbs. Easy to get to and great parking. The staff were all very friendly and happy to help. Coffee was very nice, the Campos beans not being too strong. Food was well prepared and great flavours. Only criticism is that the succulents that are used to decorate the outside tables attracted a huge number of flies - many more than the actual food. Overall a great offering as a suburban cafe and would be happy to recommend.

Groovy place with great food. It's has your expected fun, inner-city, urban aesthetic and features tables with succulents protruding out. Decent amount of seating available, however this place is popular for brunch or Sunday breakfasts crowd so time your visits accordingly. Food is well priced as it is good quality- $12.50 for eggs and toast and you can throw in extras. Good sized coffees.

I have been eating here since it's very first day and it's one of my favourite places. Mel and her team provide a great experience and the coffee is my absolute favourite. Food has never been bad here! I love Little Sista ❤

Stumbled upon this little cafe after a client meeting, and was greet with a really delicious coffee 😍. Ordered the mixed berry pancakes, and added bacon for good measure. Pancakes were thick, and loaded so well with banana and berries. Rolled out with a full stomach. Love finding these little cafes

Been here twice and has always been a great meal. Staff are friendly just keep in mind they are pretty busy on the weekends, I've always been lucky with getting a table. Coffee and fruit juices are a win too.

DELICIOUS!!! Best Asian Food, Dumplings and Soups in Canggu. The head chef is a shaolin master at making dumplings. The back deck looking over the rice paddy is really nice and quiet too. A must visit while in Canggu.

Campos coffees are always one of my favourite coffee brand. I haven't had it for a long while. Today, I had my caramel Cap with you guys. It was a great start for Saturday morning. Friendly staff & Great service. Thank you.

It was sooo good. Love this place and glad it always has great food and coffee

This is one of my favourite brunch spots. Everytime I’ve been there the food and coffee has been on point! I love their fritters and the customisable little sista breakfast.

I meant to re-visit flute along the Cavandish Road but I changed my mind when I drove past this cafe. Dropped in for a quick brekkie.
Service is very friendly and I placed my order of flat white and raisin toast upon occupying a table indoor.
Coffee came with a nice Campos coffee cup. Have not had Campose lately so this cup of coffee immediately gained mark for the review. Next came the raisin toasts, which were two large thick toasts accompanied with generous portion of butter. Needless to say, I could not miss them all..... speechless.
Last visits: Jan 2019 4/5; Jan 2017 4.5/5

Friendly staff and servicing, good location

What a great little find on Chatsworth Road! Table service, great indoor and outdoor seating and a great menu. The girls who work at the cafe are friendly and provide good service. Our food was fresh and full of flavour. We will definitely be back.

Ordered the Little Sista, and the savory pancakes. Friendly and attentive staff, greatly accomdating to vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, dairy free, etc.

Food was great, pricing appeared expensive to begin, however it's actually good value when you consider the portion sizing. This is a hangover godsend.

Coffee was fantastic; and juice is freshly squeezed and served in the customary mason jar.

One of the best breakfasts on the inner Southside.

Excellent service but coffee sub par. Would not recommend. Barista was very friendly and helpful, and she did the best she could with that very poor quality coffee.
Beverly Cadia
Terrible coffee and terrible service. Owner was a boorish primitive woman. Refused to refund my money when I said coffee was undrinkable. Coffee tasted worse than international roast caterers blend.

Been to Little Sista a few times and return for a reason. The food is consistent, simple and good quality. A great option for a relaxed brunch! The eggs on toast that I ordered the last time I was in a little over a week ago was paired with a tomato relish of some sort which I wasn't a particular fan of however the person I was dining with loved it! To me in lacked the flavour that a pairing for such a simple dish usually has. The actual content of the meal, the eggs and the toast, were perfectly cooked. Eggs were fluffy but creamy and the toast crispy but not burnt. I would recommend giving this place a go if you are in the area.
Visited this cafe again this time after almost a year; so much improvement. Coffee was great as always and we had little Sista breakfast again which came with lots of options. The fritter this time was not oily at all and service was great. So I rate them 5/5 this time.

——————————————
Visited this cafe again for breakfast after 8 months.
Coffee was great. They serve Campos Coffee.
We had Little Sista breakfast. Size wise it was big enough this time. The fritter was oily though.
Staff are nice and friendly. We don’t like the ambience much. It’s very noisy with traffic going past unless you can get a seat in the back. Inside the cafe is super noisy too when busy.

Been here a few times now for breakfast. First time good but last 2 visits disappointing. Had the ‘Fruity French Toast’ on my last visit and it was very average. Raisin toast with slices of banana and a bit of chocolate sauce and berry coulis (both pretty bland). Kids pancake had half a tub of Nutella and some ice cream. Whilst that sounds awesome my boy tapped-out after about 4 bites (cue sugar induced cardiac arrest). Coffee was bitter and service (although quick) wasn’t that friendly. Breakfast croissant on my first visit was good. Other things on the menu look good but with a 1 from 3 scoresheet I’d go somewhere else next time.

Visited this place a few times now. This last time I tried the breakfast salad. Poached egg, lemon almonds, bacon, feta, what more could you want? Also tried the chips that came with my friend's maple bacon chicken burger. Best chips I've had in ages. The burger apparently was delicious too. The coffee is ok but they also have a range of other drink options. The sweet selection they have is quite a good variety. He staff are friendly and there's a reasonable wait time.

Don’t expect a friendly service.
Some of the senior staff
Not sure what’s with the egg Ben, it was literally flooded with the sauce. My partner tried to remove big chunk of it. It was so saucy that it made her nauseous. Definitely the worst egg Ben I’ve seen.

This place has experienced a rapid decline. The service is terrible - it is meant to be table service but you have to wait ages for it and when someone comes its like it's an inconvenience.

More so than this the food is just awful and they charge inordinate amounts for it. All of the components of the dishes have a funny/off taste including the balsamic vinegar glaze, the tomato relish and the dukkah. The bacon is like packet bacon and the eggs, tomatoes etc are covered in grease.

There is honestly nothing enticing me to ever go back.

Been meaning to try this place for ages, and was very impressed when we finally did. The service was very prompt, friendly and the meals came out in record time - plus everything was really hot, fresh and tasty. We only had breakfast, but everything was awesome - the cherry tomatos were amazing, the mushrooms were delicious, the bacon was cooked to perfection, the homestyle beans were totally moreish, and the scrambled eggs were really light and fluffy (not full of cream, like other cafes in the area). Haven't tried the coffees yet, but will definitely be back

Excellent prompt friendly service. Lovely simple interior design with quirky mismatched chairs & cushions,, sanded back tables, lovely pots of succulents everywhere and a great fresh menu, I was already impressed!

We ordered 2 Little Sista breakkies and 2 fresh juices, the Detox and Tropical. You get to choose how you want your eggs and which sides... perfect! The meals and juices came out incredibly quick. The food was fresh and delicious... giant blistered full flavoured cherry toms, well drained good quality bacon (a generous amount), hard poached & scrambled eggs were perfectly cooked, creamy buttery grilled mushrooms, soft sourdour, delicious homestyle beans. The juices were all fresh juice and very refreshing. Other people we noticed who sat down around the same time also recieved their food very quickly.
Filling but not sickening like some breakkies we've had at other places. We'll be back!

Had a great brunch here last week. Steak sandwich and chips (which they had no problem substituting for sweet potato chips) was lovely. Onions slightly over balsamicy but a small criticism. Waitress was lovely - finally someone who didn't serve the hot food in front of the babies. Sweet potato chips were the best!!! I'll be back!

Customer service was not the best. With 3 staff on the cafe was not at all busy And I waited for 15 minutes for someone to take my order. There were at least 3 tables with dirty dishes including mine and no one insight. Upon my order being taken I politely asked the girl to clear and clean my table.
Not long after the same girl returned with my meal. I had to again ask for my table to be cleared and cleaned. She seemed a little annoyed I even asked this of her. Returning with a cloth she wiped down a patch here and a patch there in a half hearted effort. Not at all the kind of attitude I would like serving if I owned a cafe.

While the the hehe stack tasted nice enough surrounding the stack was cold roast pumpkin which made the dish a little disappointing . I'm not sure if that was the intention of the, but I would have preferred it to be hot.

The best thing about this place is the coffee. Definately will not be back.

Love this place. Food and service always excellent. The breakfast salad is my personal fave! It's a local fave have been multiple times and will definitely return.

Amazing food and coffee :) Best part is the Little Sista Breakfast and the wide range of choices that come with it. The greatest part was receiving three pieces of halloumi on my plate 👌👌

I like that they do an all-day breakfast menu. I ordered the savoury crepe with mushroom, the portion size was generous. The crepe was light and fluffy, quite pleasant. It would be nice to have a little salad for a bit of freshness. The tomato chutney that was served on the side overpowering, I felt it didn't go well with the dish. Overall I'm satisfied with the prompt service. Will come back again.

Really nice breakfast/brunch! Great service & great food! Nice little cafe and lots of gluten free options. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a nice breakfast spot
Liza
i came here on the weekend, after hearing about it for a while. Parking was nice and easy, and we got a table straight away so no waiting around. I think because we had a late breakfast we were able to get seen to quickly. Coffees were decent, but not great. But the food was the main attraction here. I got the corn Frittas, and my boyfriend got the Little sista breakfast with poached eggs and beef brisket, which was stacked enough as it is, be he decided to also add sausage and potato hash, it was a feast! pricing was pretty good when considering how much food we got and the quality of it. We will come back again, and make sure we are super hungry next time. Smoothies looked good, next time we will try them

I am not the sort of person to complain but unless you are Young and Beautiful I would avoid this place. If you are over 30 the staff will just ignore you and instead talk to their friends.Asked where my meal was three times and sent it back twice as it was incorrect in each case. No apologies were given. I did notice the Y&B and their friends were served quick time.I feel sorry for the chefs as the food was good when it arrived and well cooked. Outside seating is cramped and uncomfortable.

Food: 4/5
The food here is really good and they give you lots of it. The Little Sista Breakfast in particular is great.
Service: 3.5/5
They are often very busy but the service is not too bad considering how busy they are. They did mess up our order but were very apologetic and fixed it up really fast.
Aesthetic: 3.5/5
It is quite nice and the tables are really well set up. Can fit big groups easily of up to around 8 on the tables. Though next to a main road you really don't notice it that much.
Price: 4.5/5
Considering the quality and portion size of the food it is very reasonably priced and they have most classics you would expect to be on there.
Andrew
Have been here a number of times. Food is always great. Customer is often terrie if they are busy and just bad if they are not busy. They need some wait staff who know how to be cheery and look excited and not pat their friends dog then take plates of food to customers!
Courtney Y
The 'little sista breakfast' is such good value for money and I love that there are so many different options you can choose to have on your plate. Only downside was that the service was a bit slow which can't really be faulted since there are always such large crowds
Keira
Great coffee and good service. Little sista is an ongoing favourite and very consistent. A good food menu with lots of great options for breakfast.
GL
Stopped in for a coffee with my toddler. This was my first time there after reading some great reviews. Unfortunately my experience there was rather disappointing. Was glared at when going to the counter to order, and bluntly told to sit down as it was table service..the rudeness continued from the wait staff and was made to feel like we were inconveniencing them when we were wanting to pay! In an area with so many amazing cafes, they certainly need to pick up their game when it comes to customer service! No incentive to go back!

After a few visits I don't think I'll be back. Outside seating is very uncomfortable and the food is average at best on a good day. Our last breakfast here was undercooked and tepid. The coffee is not good. It seemed to have promise when it opened, but has gone downhill.
Andy Holt
Highly recommend this cafe particularly for the exceptional Campos coffee. Menu is quite extensive but I find the dishes I've tried to be lacking in flavour. The staff are usually pretty good but there are a couple that could definitely do with putting on a smile every now and then :)
RandalJ
I don't like leaving bad reviews, but your customer service is non-existent. We've been here 3 times over the past couple of years, and each time it's been terrible. Yesterday we didn't even get greeted or acknowledged despite standing in front of the counter for 5 minutes with multiple staff walking around us.
BIGBEAR
Food size was great, quality was great, the only problem after having my first cup of coffee was I wanted another,if the girls weren't chatting to each other what they did the night before they might of thought of asking my wife and I if we wanted another coffee
Lady Bacon
I went for breakfast on the weekend and had a beautiful breakfast and a delicious coffee. Could do with sharper knives but apart from that couldn't fault the food or the service.
Live
I quit enjoyed their LITTLE SISTA BREAKFAST. The hash browns were delicious, crispy but not greasy. The bacon wasn't salty, cooked perfectly. Besides that their milkshakes are the best. Gotta try their strawberry milkshake!

I had breakfast at the little Sista Cafe this morning. I ordered the Mexican Breakfast-the eggs were dry and tasteless, the chizo sausage was so over cooked it was like rubber and I gave up trying to eat it after the first piece. The meal was served with a dollop of sour cream and some mashed avocado and a couple pieces of uncooked tortillas - on a scale of 1-10 I would give a rating of 2. I left most of the meal as overall it was tasteless and completely uninspired-they could not even organise some chilli sauce to try to spice it up. Really, life is too short to eat rubbish. Ohh I commented to the waitress about the chizo-I heard nothing back.

Like · Reply · Just now · Edited

Located at the corner of a little row of neighbourhood shops in Cooparoo is Little Sista. It isn’t obviously signed, and if you blink you might miss it as you drive past. There is off-street parking for the complex just around the corner, which makes heading there a bit more convenient. Some of the bench seats outside, with greenery set in.

Went here for breakfast the other week, good food, decent serving sizes. Had the corn fritters which were nice, good milkshake! Nice that inside was air conditioned. I'd go back!

I woke up on a Sunday morning and opened up Zomato, and saw a review for Little Sista. Decided to go there and then in a rather impromptu brunch. Since we had never been there before, and only going off reviews, we didn't know what to expect. Little Sista is located in the suburbs of Coorparoo. When we arrived, it was full inside and only a couple of tables free on the outside. We managed to grab one of the last tables outside and sat down. One of the many friendly staff cleared the table for us, and provided us with menus.

All the items of the menu looked good, and it was hard to pick just one. We ordered the Red Velvet Pancakes and I panic ordered the Little Sista Breakfast. Mine gave a choice of how you want your eggs, and what items you want on your plate. I ordered mine with poached eggs, bacon, chorizo, and halloumi. The chorizo had a nice kick, and probably needed something like avocado to offset it. But the kick was really good! The Red Velvet Pancakes consisted of two thick pancakes, with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, a scoop of lemon ice cream, and a mixed berry compote. The ice cream worked well with the fluffiness of the pancakes and the tartness of the berries.

Overall, Little Sista is a great little find in the suburbs of Coorparoo. I am not sure if they take bookings, but I think it would beneficial to book beforehand as it seems to fill up quickly. With a great range on both the brunch and lunch menu, there is plenty to pick from. Hopefully, next time I won't panic order!

I paid 12$ for poached eggs on toast with tomato relish and spinach-
What i receuved:
Eggs not well cooked- the white all raw( awful and soggy mess on the plate) , 1 slice of dry old bread,
Tateless relish and 5 leaves of spinach ( uncooked..yes i counted)
In summary a very tasteless meal. ..

I have been here a few times. There is plenty of seating and an air conditioned area for those hot days. The food is satisfying and same goes for the coffee. The staff are lovely and attentive. A great vibe, love catching up with friends here.

Great breakfast. Eggs were cooked perfectly. Service was good but a little expensive to be fair. They did have an inside air-conditioned space which is nice on a hot summer day in Brisbane. I'll be back :)

In my constant search for a local cafe where I can be a regular at, I decided to try Little Sista. I've been here for coffee a long time ago with a friend and made a mental note that it might be worth coming back to for a proper meal. So on one fine day off, sleeping in well breakfast time, we decided to come here for their all day breakfast!

We went here for Valentine's Day Breakfast I had the apple crumble French toast and hubby had the Mexican breakfast. Very delicious food, great atmosphere. Coffee is campos coffee which we love. Only negative was the only table available was in the sun so sweated a fair bit so more umbrellas/shade needed!

Really nice! Menu clearly marked with gf items and they can cater to other dietary requirements too. Delicious coffee. Friendly and helpful staff, I've been there when they were super busy and also when they were nearly about to close and have had excellent service and food/coffee options both times.

So delicious! And the new dinner menu is amazing! Really quality food for a good price. The coffee is fantastic too. And the baked goods are quality. You can tell that whoever is in charge of the food really prides them self in their work.

The service here was average, the staff don't really go over the top but do make you feel welcome and comfortable. The smoothies are some of the best I've ever tasted! Couldn't put it down. The peanut butter pancakes are awfully sweet but very yummy. The breakfast croissant is pretty good too. Would definitely go again, and order a smoothie every time!

Little Sista is a cute little establishment I didn't know existed until my recent return to Brisbane. They serve Campos coffee and have quaint picnic-style benches outside, with succulents for decoration.

I was the only one eating that day - I ordered a tropical juice (pineapple, orange & apple) which couldn't have been more perfect for a sweltering day. It was served with plenty of ice - just how I like it. For lunch, I ordered the salt and pepper calamari, which wasn't fantastic. The chips were fresh, but the coating of the calamari was barely sticking to the squid and was very floury. This made the squid itself extremely greasy. The aioli, which I wish was a homemade tartare sauce, was bland and flavourless. There wasn't any hint of salt, garlic or lemon to flavour it. The dish was screaming for some acidity to cut through the grease!
Geoff's Kitchen
Funky little cafe in Coorparoo with warm and friendly service from the staff. Plenty of table inside and out, take a seat, peruse the menu and wait for the table service to commence.

Great options for breakfast and brunch are available. We ordered the Vege Stack and the Breakfast Salad and both were sensational. Great flavours and textures from fresh produce.

Great coffee is served as well using Campos coffee, the baristas really know their art. Well worth a visit.

Right in the middle of suburbia, in a place where it is good to be seen and it can be seen, is another in a lot of examples for great dining out on the weekend. The housemate's daughter was up from Sydney, with some really big news going to come her way during the weekend stay. It was mid-morning one time, and waking up she was hungry as per normal. Best way is to get something for her to eat, and my dining buddy (also my housemate) knew quickly to find the nearest, most potential place and it was Little Sista, just a small drive away. It's not that much use to go out of the way to find something special or really good with her - it just is not.

There are many places around the suburbs that act as local cafes, and it is becoming like an endemic of weeds for the south side (slower to progress..... and here come the predictable jokes). However, it is rare that they consider catering to one of the best or biggest potential demographics - young children, or at least parents and caretakers with young children. This is one place that must do well with the children, as there were plenty of them dining here that day. It is laid back, the al fresco dining makes it feel wide open outside and it is a back street so traffic is not that much of an issue if the children wish to play while waiting.

Even when a restaurant or cafe has a lot of space, if it becomes popular enough in time it will get pretty crowded. This was the case with Little Sista. The sidewalk was chock full of tables, and there were a few still available so a walk-in was not too much of a gamble just yet. One table sort of around the corner from the counter was free, with a bench against the wall - that was taken as quickly as possible. The feeling is both relaxed and comfortable. They manage to dial it down with aesthetics and go for a more simple, clean look. In a past life, I could have seen that this was a corner store.

Service was very good, really quick and has a kinetic energy with all of the movement. The general demographic is more of a youthful one, and use iPads to take the order. They are very friendly in spite of everything going on, and an efficient meal is all the more possible here because of it. Just take your desired table, they come for table service and you pay later. This does have more relaxed feeling to it.

Little Sista more or less is a modern Australian cafe. Hopping on board the all day breakfast hype, they have a good breakfast menu which I will give a few credits points to. It is not completely copy-paste, and has a few of its own creations and takes on classic dishes. Lunch dips into the mundane selection - just a few burgers, some salads and all that. Then at dinner time, they get to shine again with a good selection of meals, appeasing to most appetites.

Listen here, the coffee is from Campos. You have already won me the instant that I saw the umbrellas. Additionally, when there is no confusion about the term "doppio" when I place a request - then that elevates my mood just that bit more about it. Either it gets ordered a lot, or they can speak coffee. Whatever the case, this bodes well with me already.

And much to the consistency of Campos, this was a good lot of coffee. It was perfectly extracted, really strong and had a slightly honey-like note underneath the regular flavour. Just how I like it, it woke me up. That's all a good doppio needs, though no residue at the bottom helps as well - which there wasn't this time.

For my breakfast, I went for the "Peanut Butter French Toast". This was made with a thick slice of brioche, and topped with a combination chocolate-peanut butter sauce, then a finish of a peanut and coconut brioche crumb, with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a generous serving of (crispy) bacon on the side. As an extra, even if it wasn't on the menu per se, I saw if I could get some banana as well. No worries there, and it was apparent what style I was going for (10 points to the first correct answer in comments).

Now this is what I call French toast. It goes above and beyond, being experimental with it as a fresh change of pace. The serving size was generous and robust. The bits of bread were cut really thick, and thus soaked up a lot more eggy mixture making it moist and more susceptible to cooking. The crumb on top of it was delicious and crunchy, with enough of both flavours to create a unique flavour that went well together. Topping on top of that was a thick sauce, that was rich and didn't have too much of a dominant peanut butter flavour; it tasted less than a Reece's cup and more like combining peanuts into melted chocolate - delicious.

On the side of it, they chose a good quality brand of ice cream. This was smooth in texture, quite pleasant in flavour and was surprisingly not melting too much. Additionally, they were generous with both the bacon, and - notably - the banana. For the bacon, it was really crispy and delicious without a whole lot of fat to be put to the side (only maybe a teaspoon at best). It appeased the bacon loving part of me. As for the banana, this was just beautiful. It could have been two or three of them, well caramalised on the side seeping out a semi-sweet taste which went perfectly with the rest of the items.

Neither one of the other diners seemed that impressed by the place, which surprised me as what I got was really good; albeit, both did concede that from the looks of it I chose well. To possibly repeat a cliche, this is the kind of food that I await when going out - inventive, wholesome and substantial.

So, Little Sista is better than average. It has a character to its own, the service is really fast yet relaxed, they have carved a good and convenient niche in the suburban streets and given a focus on family. For me, this was one of the most enjoyable breakfasts out, even just basing it on the food in itself.

We were excited to see this cafe come up as a bonus offer in the entertainment book offering 2 for 1 main meals. Very busy little cafe. We went on a Sunday morning for breakfast and snagged a table inside as all the outside ones were occupied.

All the waitstaff seemed run off their feet but still made an effort to acknowledge us and apologised for the wait.

Everyone seems to rave on about campos coffee but maybe I'm not a coffee snob and didn't really see what the fuss is about.

I ordered the big breakfast which was generously portioned. I like my eggs scrambled and these were fluffy without being too "wet". My partner for the fritters which made me get food envy. I had a bite and they were absolutely divine. I'm trying to move away from the more traditional breakfast meals such as bacon and eggs and try new things and those fritters definitely sold me. Would come back again (even without the voucher) and try again!

CUSTOMER SERVICE IS TERRIBLE! The service was so unprofessional we waited for 15 minutes before getting served and thats because I had to ask. The waitress was more concerned about socialising with her friends and their dog than actually serving the customers. She was also complaining about another customer who complained about the coffee (I don't blame her) and called her a b**** and used other explicit language. Fair enough talking about rude customers but not when your on the floor?? I ordered a simple coffee which was burnt and possibly the worst coffee I've ever had (which is surprising because they serve campos coffee). My friend ordered a dirty chai and it literally tasted like dirt! I am definitely not returning, they really need to straighten out their staff.
Campos coffee, friendly attentive staff and a lovely outdoor setting. One of my faves in this area. They do a simple breakfast and they do it well. I find myself preferring it over the more "foodie" breakkies in the area of late.
HMF
Not the most brilliant vibe among staff I have encountered. I ordered the little sista breakfast with poached eggs, salmon, avo and haloumi and a tropical "fresh" juice. I cracked the eggs to have a whole lot of uncooked egg white explode all over my toast making it soggy. The salmon was crusty. The haloumi was tasteless. My juice came out with one mouthful left in my meal, and to top it off it was undoubtedly made with reconstituted pineapple juice as it had that ridiculously sugary taste. On a positive not the avo was good ... But it is avo season. Will not be back.

Just prior to 2pm (Sunday) we popped into our local for a late lunch to be told that the kitchen was closing in 5 minutes. We ordered the corn fritters and calamari straight away and the food came out very quickly. We began to eat our food whilst the staff cleaned up around us including mopping around our table... but this is only the start of the problems.

The food came not as described on the menu. Firstly, the calamari was quite tasty but came without the aioli sauce and was instead served with tomato sauce ? secondly, the corn fritters were in fact vegetable fritters (I.e. Pumpkin and carrot) and were served with no corn. The menu outlines that the fritters came with relish which also did not appear on the plate. When questioning the staff about the missing items, they let us know that they had run out of the above. Not sure why this wasn't told to us prior to ordering ?

The choices of cafes are becoming greater in the area and it would be best if you had a look at what others have to offer in the area because there isn't much to offer here.

Whilst we did come at the end of the Sunday rush, the staff should have said they couldn't accommodate our group because it's better to go away with no memory than a bad one.

On a final note, the cafe has a great setup including an open kitchen. However it may be beneficial if you had a clean looking chef working behind the counter rather than the scraggy one..

I've been twice now, bit disappointed the first time but went back and loved it. Great food, good menu selection. Staff friendly and efficient. Plenty of seating both indoor and outdoor. Rear Carpark and plenty of street parking. Will go back with friends.

Went to little sista for Sunday breakfast. Amazing food. Great atmosphere. Large servings. It was very busy, no wonder it's so popular. Definitely worth trying

I used to love this little cafe! However, the last two times I have visited, I have found hair in my food...and it is incredibly off putting, unhygienic and disappointing. What's more disappointing is the fact that on both occasions the establishment did not apology or even attempt to give me a complimentary meal.

Great food, great service and friendly staff. What more could you want. No recent reviews so thought I'd still try them even with some negative comments. We were not disappointed with anything. Will return to this cafe/restaurant.

Great atmosphere and great coffee. Loved the versatility of the breakfast menu. Staff were very accommodating and cheerful. We intend to become regulars

First time visitor - Seemed Friendly - Good Food. We went for a first time visit on a Saturday - so it was busy - but we got a table no problems. My only suggestion for improvement is to hold back on the "garnish" syrups - I'm not a big fan - whether it be balsamic glaze, or in this case some sweet syrup around my avocado toast (puts the calorie count way up - and I don't like the taste). In fairness we should probably thank all the cooking shows for this - as it seems to have become an essential in all cafes - with no mention in the menu that it is coming (so no chance to say not to serve it). Aside from all that - Little Sista will become one of our regular spots for coffee / breakfast.

Terrible service. Usually won't stop here because they take too long and not a huge fan of the coffee but decided to give them another go today. It was fairly quiet but still took almost 5 min to get served. Then my order sat on the machine not being made as the barista was out the back talking to the chefs. Not sure why they don't train all staff to make coffee. When she finally came out to make it she over heated the milk and I ended up throwing half the coffee out. And considering it's the most expensive coffee in brisbane I won't be going back :(

Normally a fan but always next to impossible to get a table then food takes ages. Waited forty minutes for toast this morning with no explanation or apology. Really disappointed.

Gluten Free Toast w/ a side fungus. *orders mince on toast*
After taking a few bites of my breakfast, I soon began to realise that my Gluten free toast was frozen and then after examining the toast I realised it was MOULDY! YUCK! I took it to the waitstaff, whereby a woman rudely responded with "well I don't think that's mould... But I'll fix it for you!" I mean come on.... I know what mouldy toast looks like? I was then charged for my meal, even though could hardly eat the replacement as my previous meal was ridden wth mould. So unless you like getting your daily dose of FUNGUS ON TOAST. DONT EAT THE GLUTEN FREE BREAD.

NOT WORTH IT DON"T WASTE YOUR TIME OR $$$. WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW SO YOU DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY
Ambiance- small, cluttered, loud seating squished next to other people
Food- boring, small portions, disgustingly over priced..... $16 for pancakes.... $17 for a small breakfast??? IS THIS A JOKE?
Service- non existent. Run buy a bunch of young teenagers, no customer service skills. The girls were too busy at one stage playing with there families children than focusing on there paying customers.
When we first entered this establishment 2 of the 3 staff were sitting out back on the ground eating and using vulgar language, no wonder it took so long for our order to be placed.
The food we did receive was not what we ordered. The young girl then argued with us about the mix up. We eventually (40mins) later did get our order it was cold. The coffee tasted like watery swill.
It is obvious that the reviews by the bloggers who have given this a good rating were paid to for advertising purposes and have not set foot in this cafe. And that the other reviews are written by a family members, the owner and close friends

Will not be back. We have been here a couple of times, but now they have table service instead of ordering at the counter. You would think that's a great innovation

It was 1.40 when we arrived, and as the kitchen closes at 2 pm we went to the counter to be told it's now table service. Someone came out immediately and took our drinks order, then asked if we would be eating, which we replied yes.

At 1.59 he returned to take our order

We ordered a bowl of chips, a chicken burger and Quinoa salad

The food came out fairly quickly, but to our dimay, every meal was not as described in the menu.

The chips were to come with aoli, but none supplied
The chicken burger was supposed to come with avocado and onion. None on the burger
The quinoa salad at $18 consisted of quinoa 4x olives, capsicum and a few semi dried tomatoes. No cashews as described on the menu

3 out of 3 wrong. Very unimpressive

When we went to pay, we were asked if we were happy, and when we said that all three meals were incorrect, there was no sorry, just that will be $61

There are so many good cafes in the area. This place need to wake up and do much better

You have lost us

My partner and I have been coming here almost every weekend for over a year, recently we have been overseas so went in for the first time in about 2 months. I can only assume they have changed management or ownership. We were beyond disappointed. The decor, vibe and food quality have drastically declined. Service was sloppy at best and neither of us could finish our smoothies or coffee. We used to leave full and satisfied and raved about the fresh, high quality ingredients and meals. Today we left with no intention of returning which is a massive bummer as this was our favourite cafe. Meals were not as described on the menu. I now consider this place to be super overpriced for what you receive on your plate. Do not recommend.

Quality down .. down .. !!. This review is about our 2nd / 3rd visit to this place.
I think initially when it started there was so much passion and love in the food that was coming out but during these visits we have seen that the plates are jst being dumped on our table and there u have it - eat it or leave it.
We usually have big sista breakky - in each of these 2nd and 3rd visit the salad was absolutely wilted and yellow, plz before plating you will definitely over see it isnt it ? I bet no one will let this pass through in a normal home forget being passed on in a restaurant.
sausages / eggs/ mushrooms were jst blah...
Coffee one of the stronger points for them ( I thought) were jst too watery and it was like made in ultra ultra skim milk 80% water and 20% milk and literally 4 sips and we were done. Headed over to Garry's coffee shop on benetts road to get a decent coffee.
we gave them benefit of doubt onn our 2nd visit and hence visited 3rd time, but were equally disappointed.
Sad to say we wnt be visiting this one unless there is absolutely nothing in the area and as a last resort.
Put some love in the food the same when u first started, all cafe serve the same breakky but what sets them apart is that "something".

Lovely little cafe serving campos coffee together with a refreshing juice/smoothie menu. The food menu has something for everyone, I highly recommend the fritters for breakfast or the delicious Eggs Benedict. Service is always friendly and efficient, a real local gem.

Diana. Second visit to Sista, first time was only for coffee which was good. This time we had breakfast & was equally as good. I chose to have the veg stack which came with a well cooked piece of haloumi (not rubber) & various other tasty veg. If I have to pick a fault with it at all was the excessive amount of balsamic glaze with which they decorate the plate-the flavor is intense & overpowers the delicate veges. Partner enjoyed his savory mince served with a perfect truss of sweet tomatoes & poached eggs. We sat outside so were able to enjoy the pooches company too!

A+ service, A+ food. The bacon, haloumi, scrambled eggs, juices, coffees... everything was cooked and tasted to perfection. Can't recommend enough.

Awesome addition to Coorparoo. I absolutely love this cafe, it's such a nice addition to the suburb of coorparoo. Been here numerous times and it never disappoints, the coffee is delicious and the food is amazing! I went here twice in one week and even bring my dog sometimes and enjoy a cappuccino outside, fabulous

Cute little sista. I was at this café on the weekend and really liked it - I had an amazingly great coffee (Campos) and baked eggs for breakfast. The service was friendly and prompt, and the menu very reasonably priced. I left very satisfied and would go back (even if it’s only to try something from their sweet cabinet)!

Speechless....... What can I say, just fabulous, from the friendly staff to the excellent coffee the food is so so good and just the entire atmosphere of the little Sista cafe is awesome. See you soon.

Jonesy. Nice little boutique cafe, great food, fantastic coffee and the staff are very friendly! The Detox Juice is just delicious. Definitely recommend trying this new spot if you enjoy a good breakfast.

Decor-unappealing & bland. Uninspiring
Coffee-ok (1 of 4 coffees ordered was incorrect)
Food-very good (1 of 4 meals ordered was below par - poached egg was undercooked)
Staff-very good

Very disappointed, food bland and tasteless, service ok, clean. It is a shame, was hoping it would be good cafe as no other cafe in this spot has ever been successful. Hopefully they will find there feet and improve!

A great local. We love that this place has opened up just down the road from us. The girls are all great, they have excellent coffee which you can pre-order via text and the food is very tasty with generous servings. We have breakfast there at least once a week and coffee's a few times a week and haven't been disappointed once. Well worth checking out.

One of our favourite breakfast destinations is Little Sista Cafe. It certainly helps that it's local to us, you can find it on Chatsworth Rd at Coorparoo. They have just moved to a 'table service' model, and the young, enthusiastic staff are doing a terrific job - they certainly give the place a positive vibe...

The best thing about this place is the varied menu with some great menu items for vegetarian and those doing low carb diets plus some naughty sweet breakfast, there are a so many things on the menu that say eat me it does make it hard to choose. They also have a great selection of fresh juices: Check the menu out and tell me your not drooling already I went with the Roasted Vegetable Stack which for being a card carrying carnivore is a big thing, I've ordered it about 3 times now. Both the husband and Uncle Ad's ordered the "Little Sista" breakfast, which is basically a build your own breakfast. I can also vouch for the Scrambled Eggs which were yummo and for the kids the hungry caterpillar pancakes is super cute.

Little Sista! I have had this place on my go to list for quite a while! I just liked the name and the high rating on Urbanspoon to be honest. The menu on Urbanspoon looked very interesting as well, more options than your usual eggs/toast/big brekkie kind of options! ...The interior is lovely! lots of polished wood furniture, little photos and I really like the fresh flowers on each table... This damn healthy kick has even got me eating salad for breakfast! Thought there wasn't much healthy with this salad hahaha, shard of glassy maple bacon, spinach, smashed avocado, soy roasted almonds, red capsicum, goats cheese and one sole poached egg! I really enjoyed this salad ...
