Lovely staff and excellent service everytime I've been there. Their brisket burger and Brats are especially good.
Friendly staff bringing water promptly on a hot day. In December had smashed avo and coffee and today had a banana smoothie. This may become a popular spot for our cycling group as it’s less crowded than other locations that are popular.
What a find. Canadian Breakfast was a highlight with fluffy pancakes and generous serve of bacon, eggs lightly fried. Not oily at all. Very quick service and friendly staff!

Our friendly local coffee hangout. I am guessing this has changed hands since the posts in mid 2012 because we have been here to stay for 2 weeks apartment hunting and have gone there every day almost for coffee or a meal and have always had impeccable service by lovely energetic young staff. The coffee is good, free wifi is a BIG plus and the food is fresh and tasty. The best small lemon meringue tart I've ever had & we have lived in France, London, Florence, Washington etc etc. It's clean, the paper is there to read & we even left without paying once by accident & they were lovely about it next day when we went in. So yeah would highly recommend it and as we've just bought an apartment in Stradbroke Towers this will be our new local.
I come here at least twice a week. Docksideans!. Thank you for not abandoning this restaurant. Yes, you know it was "Lindas" years ago and it was great. After she sold it, it was "Anonymous" for some time. But the curernt owners have resurected this to a lovely dining experience. It is run principally by some nice young Asian folks and they are all just lovely. I frequently bring my ill mum here, and the girls always give her a welcoming hug and good cheer. Naturally, the great food is the magnet and, we have tried it all and never been dissapointed. If you are staying in this area (in the Hotel or whatever), you wil be pleasently surprised dining here.
I was a little nervous going inside as it just looks like a cheap diner but the food was lovely! I had the chicken Madagascar and my fiancé had the veal scallopine and both dishes were very nice, despite them mixing up our sides (I think the young waitress' error, not the chef's). So I got my fiance's chips and salad and he got my steamed veg but all in all, it was good. Don't expect anything fancy and service is average for the meal price but worth it if you have a voucher like we did. I wouldn't pay full price...
While not the ambience of a romantic restaurant and as the name suggests without a view of any dockside. Cafe Dockside represents very good value for money. The bruschetta was more than enough and well trimmed with fresh riccotta, enough for two.
The mains came fairly quickly and were quite large, the Dockside combo of chicken breast and prawns was presented on a bed of mash accompanied with perfectly crunchy vegetables. My partner had chilli salmon and equally was surprised by the portion size and the softness of the salmon.
Overall very good food, well priced large portions and sensibly priced wines and beers.
Diana. Come here all the time for brekky as we bring the pooch along & enjoy the walk on the river broadwalk. Love the coffee (always ask for it slightly stronger) All the b/f dishes are good especially the coriander avocado & brekky sangers.
Great for breakfast!. As out of towners, we have eaten brekky here 4 times this week. The service is prompt with food being satisfying. The thick cut raisin toast was delicious with plenty of fruit! The yoghurt & berries was a generous serving size, too. The poached eggs & bacon have also been good. The coffee went down well too. Worth a visit if you are in the area.
