Always a great time coming here. Food is always inventive and tasty. Never a huge wait time considering how busy the place gets. Would highly recommend!
Friendly staff, a special setting within lush greenery, and a vast menu make me come back to this place. Good coffee too, and Troy even remembered how I have it (after only one visit). All reasonably priced.
I look forward to the new menu.
I'll be back.
Came in on queens birthday. Place was packed, so they had a waiting list. The wait was short though. I ordered the French toast, which was a mars bar edition. Plus an iced chai. The French toast itself was delicious! I didn’t care much for the big scoop of chocolate ice cream though. The chai was good too. Would love to come back and try the hash Benny, pesto scram, goodness bowl, fried chicken burger/waffle, pancakes... basically the whole menu
Greenily aesthetic place for nature lovers! Plants everywhere for a pretty lush background for ig pics.
Rustic feel.
Friendly staff.
Fast service on a late weekday lunch day.
Large space, good for small and large groups.
Connected to what looks like a plant nursery - I’m not a big plant person so did not venture out there 🌱
THEY SERVE TWO SEASONS COFFEE BEANS 💕
P.s. their big breakfast is big- not a lie like a lot of other cafes.

Visited this cafe again after almost 2 years.
It’s located in a nursery. You get to enjoy lots of green plants around you. Ambience is 4/5. It’s very noisy though....
We had stacked veggie and stacked haloumi. They both cane with a generous piece of haloumi, one poached egg on a thick slice of sourdough. The veggie one cane with pumpkin purée and mushrooms and the other one with smashed avo and bacon which we didn’t realise at the time of ordering. The price was reasonable.
Coffee was also great. Not sure what kind of bean they use but I liked the taste, texture of coffee was nice.
I have to mention that staff are very nice but not as attentive as I’d like them to be.

Visited this cafe for brunch on a Saturday morning.
Environment: ok for casual dining. nothing special.
Service: staff were very nice and polite. It was a bit slow though. Because it was busy.
Food: tasted great, beautiful presentation but a bit expensive for the size. I had corn fritter stack (vegetarian of course). It was on the specials menu for $17. It was delicious though.
The food was splendid, Not complain at all ! The atmosphere is so relaxing and you can have a good talk to your friends! also the staff is always willing to help you with a smile on their face!
We ordered the ‘Haloumi Stack’ and the ‘Cajun Chicken Waffles’. The haloumi and eggs were cooked perfectly and the serving size was a great portion for a late brunch. The savoury chicken & sweet waffle flavour combination worked very well together aswell. The size of this dish was quite large so make sure you are quite hungry when ordering this. The atmosphere was very relaxing and the cafe also has a nursery in the back which added to the aesthetic. Prices were also pretty reasonable. Overall highly recommend checking out their all day brunch menu. 👍🏼
Beautiful, cosу set up! Never been to such a well presented cafe. Food was great and decently sized! Was a bit disappointed that the juices were not freshly squeezed but other than that was very enjoyable
Rainy weekend a week or so ago, we decided to check out the Smug Fig, a long established neighbourhood favourite of Woolloongabba, after having seen quite a few blogs online, and having recently tried their sister store ED cafe, I decided it was finally time to go and see for myself. Driving along the busy street that is Stanley Street, parking was hard to come by, but crossing the road was even more perilous, but for the promise of good food, we took the necessary risks.
It has been too long since I returned to this quiet garden cafe on the outside of the city.Beautiful array of flowers, soft sunlight peaking through, and a relaxing late afternoon breeze. I may have worked past my usual breakfast time… but I wasn’t missing out on breakfast (even at 1pm 😋)
Had the most amazing brunch here!!! The smug fig has great food and drinks. The coffee was strong and the dishes were out of this world. That macho nachos is such an innovative take on nachos and Mac n cheese. The Doritos crusted mac n cheese fritters cake with a generous serving of Doritos, salsa, sour cream and guac. It was cheesy and tasty. The haloumi stack is another classic you can't go wrong with. Egg, haloumi, bacon and avo on toast, it's just delicious. I would love to come back to try their other dishes. They have 3 pages worth of brunch dishes that it's so hard to narrow down your choices.
Great place. Met with friends for brunch. Food and drinks are easy to order using the QR code at the table. You can order at the counter if you prefer. The food was delicious. I had the stack and thoroughly enjoyed it. The coffee was good. Very happy with everything and would go again. The Aldi car parking is a 1min walk and has 2 hours free parking, so super convenient if you are driving.
The Smug Fig, located at Stones corner is a beautiful cafe with lots of open space, friendly staff and an ample menu. We had breakfast. The food was amazing, but we wanted larger portions. Price was typical of what you would pay. Parking was easy and if you do a morning walk in the area the breakfast is well worth it. Drinks were delicious. I would visit again.
Perfection. Every single visit is a treat.
The Smug Fig is quite special. The service is fantastic. That's saying something because these guys get busy!!
Stones Corner is extremely fortunate to have so many great coffee spots to choose from. The Smug Fig can definitely take a bow to being the best.
The coffee is perfect every time, no hit and miss or burnt coffee ever.
The photo below is from a previous visit.
I had dinner there on Sunday and it was so darn good, that I forgot to take a photo. Brothers Troy and Aaron, you guys are great and your staff are a credit to you. Thank you, lucky I'm a local. 😊

The Smug Fig - in my opinion - is the greatest brunch location in Brisbane! The halloumi stack tastes phenomenal and is perfectly presented. The coffee is amazing and the overall aesthetic and mood of the Cafe is serene. Will always continue to come back! The staff are polite, courteous and beyond hospitable. Have certainly earned my loyalty. (Loyalty card is also the greatest I've seen)
I stopped by for dinner finally on Friday night, and was blown away by the food and service. I ordered the market fish as I was wanting something light, and this dish didn’t disappoint! The fish was flavourful and moist, with a nice, crispy skin, and the caramelised fennel cream + pickled fennel was a lovely accompaniment, adding a whole other layer to the dish.
I also got myself a margarita, and it was one of the best I’ve ever had! It was quieter than it is during the day, and was the perfect spot for a relaxing dinner.
Can’t recommend this place enough
Absolutely loved it fantastic food and service definitely well worth it , service was quick no complaints. Highly recommended to friends and family. Do yourself a favour and go there.. 😁😀
Lovely selection of twists on traditional brunch options. Best French toast I have ever had. Staff very accommodating to our large birthday group.
