This cafe has a great ambience, the food is good and the service is first class as it is well priced – you can hang around to talk if you want to
Coffee was great. It was a bit busy when we got there but they managed to find us a table. Lovely staff. Bonus was seeing all the lions players leave. They must have a room upstairs which we didn't get to see. Definitely go back.
Shaded cafe we came to after a Sunday ride, always very busy. Had a large berry milkshake and toast with honey butter. Probably should have had coffee and a different breakfast. Nice decor, good location.
Pearl is my very favourite cafe in Brisbane. The food is absolutely divine and the one consistent thing that stands out is the quality and freshness of the ingredients. The menu is always so interesting and diverse, which makes eating at Pearl so fabulous.
The other thing I love is their coffee. It is always perfectly made and at the correct temperature. And this is coming from someone who is a coffee snob...
I love walking into the cafe, as it has a great atmosphere. It has a really nice vibe, which is vibrant but also very relaxed. I always feel welcome by the genuine and warm greeting I receive from the staff.
The reason I keep returning to Pearl Cafe is not only because the food and coffee is so excellent, but because I know for sure that I will be looked after and that I will receive excellent service.
We had the ‘trust the chef’ collection which was great value for such beautiful food. There was more than enough food and my particular favorite was the risotto and pasta main dish. Friendly service and beautiful setting. Lovely cocktail list too.
Food here tonight was amazing! We had the artichokes, prawns, cured fish and duck all to share. We were surprised at the variety of continents the dishes came from but it worked. The artichokes were Middle Eastern, the prawns Asian, the cured fish with beetle nut leaves could have been from a range of Asian regions but the wasabi gave it something Japanese. The duck was European and had brussel sprouts, cherries, mash and jus all with an underlying truffle flavour. Should have taken pics sorry. Trust me, it was great.

I have no friends so I came here alone. It was pretty much as expected. The food was above average, I went to lunch, also brunch twice and I loved it , I’d definitely come back, one of the better places around
We knew better but rocked up with out a booking anyway - and it went ok! A bit of a wait but the friendly staff kept us up to date. We visited for early-ish breakfast on a recent winter weekend. We sat outside which was a touch brisk.
The delicious food and good service more than made up for it though.
We ordered a pork belly and egg burger which was served on a pretty black bun. The flavours were good and the chipotle sauce really kicked and brought everything together.
The green omelette with salmon asparagus and goats curd was the best dish we had. Thoroughly recommend!
Pearl in its current form is a great weekend breakfast option- but strong recommend booking to avoid disappointment. We will be back (again).

Had brekkie with Meatball & Beef Cheeks here last Sunday. Honestly, it was my first time of visit but it left me an impressive dining experience. Wait-staff is very attentive and performs well. Meatball ordered two pouched eggs with additional hand-cut bacon and Char Siu Pork and I ordered the baked eggs with Cha Siu pork with chickpeas. Needless to say, a cup of flat white is the a-must. Coffee came to the table first, which earns my appreciation on the aroma and it looks strong enough for me. Both savoury dishes came the next and we did an experiment on the pouched eggs by piercing the fork on them and they were immediately response with running egg yolk - perfect! Char Siu pork was really prepared nice and tasteful. I just wonder how the chef get the Chinese recipe and the Char Siu is no different to those from Chinese BBQ shops in Chinatown. I love my baked egg, where the taste was well balanced with tomatoes, broccoli,Char Siu Pork and fennel. Overall, it is awesome to have such impressive brekkie and we both enjoy the moment of catching up with each other...

A small charming cafe in Woolloongabba. Service was prompt and lovely. I love their breakfast menu because there is variety and I'm tired of having the same and usual breakfast options with cafes. We had Croque Madam and KFC for breakfast and it was yum. The croque was a little too greasy for me though but it's still good.
Quick service, great food and happy staff despite the current restrictions. Owner came out and checked on the food which I thought was great. No kids menu at the moment but the chef made up a fancy fish and chips for our young grandson.
Most amazing gluten free breakfast ever! Nice portion sizes and buzzing atmosphere. Will be back!

Have been for dinner, breakfast & lunch & have loved all 3 experiences. Sure it's a little more expensive, but you are getting great quality food. I've read reviews where people said the service wasn't good, & I've never had a problem on all occasions we've dined here. The staff are just beautiful 👌

TLDR: stunning cafe food, great ambience, bad coffee :(
Let's just start with the bad because this place is generally so good! The coffee. The bitter notes carry from first sip to last. Unfortunate.
Now for the great.
First we were warmly greeted at the door, and for a party of 8 plus 4 kids that is no small thing. The decor is elegant, with a great jazz vibe. With such a big group we were accommodated in the pastry kitchen (!) upstairs.
The food was excellent. My wife ordered the Pork Belly with chipotle bread special of the day. Fantastic - and the addition of the spiced bread was welcome. The kids shared the buttermilk pancake and while they found the Pineapple not to their like (hey, they are kids) the pancake was a delight - perfectly light and cakey with crisp edges.
But perhaps the best plate of our morning was the rolled mushroom omellete containing a triple brie river wrapped in the middle, and wonderful notes of truffle layered throughout. Very few times have I had to pause after every bite, looking off into the distance self-reflectively like an idiot because the dish before me is so good. Well done Pearl Cafe, well done.
We shall be back!
