Food was good, I'll leave out the chips next time, bar a bit noisy so opted for a quiet area on the other side in between the main bar and the pool room. Service was great, friendly staff, easy to order and waiting time was minimal. Steeped in history, worth just popping in for a beer to learn a bit more about the pubs history

Good selection of beers on tap, a mix of gin cocktail specials which went down well. Good space for diners, interesting menu to chose from with daily specials. We had the "Reuben" a classic and BBQ pork ribs and slaw. Both were filling, very enjoyable and both came with a side of fries.

Great place to be in, good pub with multiple places to go to - outdoors, indoors, indoor outdoors with a courtyard with some rooftop options as well. The food is good with good range of drinks although they ran out of some of the wine bottles - cheeky!
The pub quiz done on Wednesday was expertly led by a really friendly quiz master. Good vibes all round, recommend the place!

Absolutely love the happy hour pizza and burger! Such a steal! The atmosphere is really good for groups too, you can just chill and hang out with your friends all night long. We booked via OpenTable and they reserved a really good table for us. Plus the staff is really friendly and provide very honest recommendation 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Nice beer selection and the calamari entree was tender and tasty. Love the hanging decorations of beer tins! The 'alley' set up inside the hotel is reminiscent of a 40s industrial scene and has great character. Friendly service. There is even coffee and tea (good stuff) if that's your poison.

Thank you for hotel, officially my go to place for food drinks and just chilling out. Vibe is great, the atmosphere here is vibey, live music, packed with ppl daily, thanks to their happy hour weekday specials, $4 pizzas and burgers daily mon- thur. Be sure to try the Johnny cash, qld hottest pizza, no jokes it's a cracker, had me by the kahonas, but I beat it in the end and got my tick on the Johnny cash vs the ppl score board. On the taste scale the pizza was epic, perfect in my books, size was small but $4 whatcha expect, it was enough to fill me, this must be noted.I love this place, it is now my daily go to, be sure to visit.

Great vibe. 20 year ago it used to be a bit out the way. Not now, that place and the gorgeous eateries out the back were packed with awesome ambience , young to middle age people , fantastic looking food. Felt safe open & inviting

Really disappointed with going here for my first time.
I had booked for a table with a group of friends to celebrate my birthday weeks in advance. Just 2 days before my reservation, I received a call from the hotel about bookings. They called me and told me I will no longer be able to have my reservation upstairs due to a function that has just come through. I was a little annoyed, but couldn’t say anything due to it being a function and not a table booking.
I decided to call the hotel back to speak to a manager regarding my booking. After I told them that I had booked weeks in advance for my birthday and how I was upset that it being my first time visiting this place, I honestly was not expecting to be put else where. The manager then advised me by suggesting another spot within the Fox. I was told “I’ll put you in a more private area. This area may not be upstairs but it is pretty”.
When I arrived to the Fox with a few friends, I was honestly extremely disappointed. I was put in the public bar right next to the musician. To begin, it was not private as we were promised. It was loud. People and even the musician decided to help themselves and take chairs from our table, and we were seated just centimetres from the musician so music was way too loud.
Such a let down to be having high expectations at this place, especially being my first time visiting and being told promises. Will not be looking at coming back here.
