Pan fried gnocchi, grilled mushrooms, kale chips, confit garlic, parmesan, truffle oil & a gooey poached egg on top for breakfast was so different and fresh.A standout from the normal breakfast offerings in Brisbane.

My colleagues & I would like to thank you for making life so easy & keeping it real - coffee, brekkie, lunch, pizza, drinks - you name it & we love it. Reliably enjoyable, reasonably priced, fab team, good menu. You’re always busy but somehow there’s enough space for everyone. We savour the real Melbourne feel here. Oh and the lamb cous cous salad is to die for.

Came for a mid-week lunch and was surprised to find the restaurant completely packed. We were seated promptly but then forgotten about until we flagged someone down to take our order. That would probably be my only complaint though.
Our food was served extremely quickly and pizzas were really tasty. I was impressed to see there was no extra charge for gluten-free bases - bravo guys, this is something I've never seen before and should be commended! My group wasn't keen on these though so I didn't get to try them! We had the lamb special pizza which my group claimed was delicious. We also had the margarita which was ok - nothing amazing but tasty. My favourite was the pumpkin pizza - really great flavours, my favourite of the day.
Bases were nice too, just need to be served with sharper knives to get through the crust as it was near impossible with the regular knives.
A busy little spot with good quality food.
Great staff. Efficient. Good coffee. Always busy. Table service. Easy to quick order. Recommended for rover end of town meetings. How much more do I need to write to get this review posted?

came here with a group of friends and was very impressed with the quality and quantity of food. there were a lot of ppl in the restaurant but the waitress still seated us promptly and did everything rly well, so kudos to her.
pizzas were great. got the magherita, carnivore and tropicana. gluten free based pizzas thankfully don’t come at an extra charge (judging all the restaurants that make us pay extra just bc we have allergies/intolerances >:() but they are actually smaller than 11” compared to the normal pizza base. gluten free pizza still tastes as good (even my friend was surprised)! lovely amounts of ingredients. bacon and chicken were definitely a lil too overcooked (either charred to death or dry as heck) for my liking but the best pizzas come with loads of cheese and have a good base so this satisfied that. not sure if it’s worth it for the prices considering how the protein pizzas are pricier but aren’t as great but ~_~ oh well.
thick cut chips came in a big bowl. great side. well seasoned.
fettuccine marinara (seafood pasta) was what raised the bar since the pizzas were only a 4/5 but the pasta was 5/5 so def worth trying
will definitely consider popping by again~ only disappointment (apart from overcooked proteins) was that the plates they handed out to us at the start weren’t completely free. i get that they’re busy and would probably miss a small spot but it still kinda made me worry abt their cleanliness especially when busy

Our favorite cafe in Brissie. Breakfast is fantastic, coffee is awesome (the takeaway line goes around the block). Staff are super friendly and attentive.
Aquila is great! It's a choice spot for coffee, breakfast or lunch. I rate the food and coffee and the atmosphere is fantastic. Staff were friendly and attentive. I would come back again!
As quite a few of my readers are aware, I work along Eagle Street. Aquila (despite missing the sign in my picture), which is also situated along Eagle Street, is quite a popular lunch spot for team lunches, which is how I got to try it out a couple weeks ago. We got a table outside, but despite the apparent counter, they had table service, which suited our preferences and avoided a bit of confusion on our part.
What a place! Ordered their sandwiches and pizzas for a bog group of us and we all loved ittt! Their portions are so generous its hard to ever forget them. Will absolutely go back there, would really like to try breakfast but they stop serving pretty early. Next visit for sure.
Well this is the cafe in Brisbane where "everybody knows my name". What the team at Aquila do particularly well is take care of their regulars. Some weeks I'm in there once and others 10 times and each time I'm welcomed warmly/ seated without fuss and served great food/ coffee.
Where you want to grab and go or sit and relax its all good- you set the pace they follow.
They have lots of gluten free options which I am thankful for and yes, the coffee is very much to my liking.

Lunch: Buddha Bowl. I absolutely loved this and I would happily return to have again. The best Buddha Bowl I’ve ever tasted. The service was fantastic, there was a hic-up with a payment, however the dark haired young lady was extremely pleasant and helpful with sorting this. thank you for a terrific experience.
I had lunch here last Friday and it was delicious. Staff were very friendly and provided good service. The lamb salad with haloumi was full of flavour. Had a nice pinot too and followed lunch with a chai. Looking forward to coming here again.
Good food just a bit pricey. Frequented by all the executive and lawyer types from the buildings beside. Typical attire is suits.
Went for a company lunch at Melbourne Cup day and it was a set menu with oysters and charcuterie plate for starter then a choice of entree and main. I had the scallops for an entree and lamb rack for main. Very tasty. Pretty good service though because it was quite busy that time, food took quite a while to arrive.
We love coming to Aquila and seeing Troy who is very accomodating! Great coffee, drinks and atmosphere!!
I've been having an 'Aquila' coffee (with little biscuit) and dining experience for years, it never disappoints! Breakfast today was fabulous, with very slick service tailored to meet its business focused clients. ☕🍳🥓❤
