Visited for lunch on a Friday after searching for something different to try on my day off. The owners are extremely friendly and were happy to provide extra special chilli powder which is a blend of spices and chilli they import from Ethiopia.
The meal was filling. Each of the vegetable dishes had its own unique flavour. I added a serve of their chicken Wott.
I definitely recommend giving this place a try for something new.
Beautiful food and wonderful service. We have become regulars.
The food here is amazing! Colourful, fresh and so tasty. The Manager is welcoming and helpful in suggesting dishes. We also enjoyed the tunes that were playing on the Saturday at lunch time while we were there. Will definitely be back.
The food is really good. It's great that most of the food is vegan and gluten-free too, so there is something to keep everyone happy. I would definitely eat here again.
It was our first time trying Ethiopian food and it exceeded our expectations. We had the meat and veg platter for two. A good balance of dishes. Injera bread is a good compliment to scoop up the different dishes on the platter. The doro watt chicken pieces were tender and flavoursome. Would definitely be back again. It is also child friendly.
Very friendly and helpful with information about the origins and flavouring of the dishes. We got the mixed platter and it was perfect amount for 3 of us. We were even offered some extra spices to try alongside the dish. Then a sweet 'baklava of the day' to finish off. Such a different experience to eat with your hands (handwashing facilities supplied) but well worth it!
First time trying african cuisine. Since I wanted to try many dishes, I chose the meat and veggie combination set. It comprised many types of dishes. However, since I ordered it via uber eat, they put the dishes all together in one box. Therefore I couldnt differentiate which was which. I only remembered I had chicken, beef, something with carrot, red beet. Despite all the dishes had been mixed, the taste was still good. I enjoyed the dishes. The meals came with injera bread. However I dont know how to describe it since the injera didnt suit my taste. It’s not because the bread wasnt tasty but I just feel that I am not used to it. Overall, food was great (it’s still warm) and tasty. One sugesstion for them is to fix the way they pack the food. It’s abit messy. However I love the idea of putting all the food in one box, for the sake of our environment.
Wonderful service and amazing food. I was brought to this hidden gem by my sister who is a local and my first time trying Ethiopian food. Highly recommend the combined meat and veg special. I'll definitely be returning for more authentic and delicious Ethiopian food!
Friendly and welcoming service and the vibe of the restaurant is very comfortable and relaxed. Got the All-meat banquet platter for 2 and i have not had a great meal like that in a long time. Definitely recommending this place to others in search for good restaurants in the Brisbane area.
Found this little gem this evening and really enjoyed our time. The food was really enjoyable and filling. We had the 2 person platter for $40 and were very satisfied. The vibe felt authentic and the service was great. Would definitely recommend as well as come back next time in the neighbourhood.
