Love the waffles here. The matcha one is delicious. The waffle itself is big and crisp, just the way I like it. I also enjoy the bingsu and matcha drinks.
Phuong Tran and I visit for dessert and coffee after dinner nearby. The small selection of desserts are not tempting so we decide to share a large Matcha Latte.
Unfortunately, the beautiful Matcha Latte was served warm. I would have preferred it 10°C hotter! I still enjoyed this beverage, hence the 4/5 rating.
It’s an interesting cafe with lots of interesting drink and dessert options. We visited this cafe for pre-birthday gathering.

Pretty cute little Chinese style desert shop, the puddings and drinks are all pretty nice and very reasonably priced. Definitely worth a look if you’re still feeling a bit peckish after eating at the nice Asian restaurants in the shopping centre.
Having tried their branch at Myer centre, I was really excited to try the original branch in Runcorn. We wanted to get the sizzling matcha brownie but alas, it had sold out. No matter, we got the Creme brûlée and matcha panna cotta. The Creme brûlée was pretty delicious and I loved the caramelised sugar crust but it was a tad too cloying. The matcha panna cotta was really delicious and the bitterness of the matcha cuts through the richness of the panna cotta and ice cream. I'd definitely want to come back to try their matcha brownie.
Always have a great experience at Sweet Treats. The desserts are always tasty and the staff are very friendly. Their tofu pudding and the green tea creme brûlée are worth getting and I would highly recommend it.
Pleasant employees. Smoothies are incredibly refreshing and make my cheeks buzz in happiness with flavour. Decor is cute and menu is pretty diverse in terms of snacks and treats and drinks. Asian flavours are genuine and great.

With that being said, my friend and I caught up on a Thursday evening at Sweet Treats.
It was around 7:30-8pm and most tables inside were taken (as expected), leaving the side benches with high stools available. We jumped in the queue and began checking out the menu on the wall behind the counter. I wasn't feeling a caffeinated beverage so I opted for a Matcha Latte and coincidently, my friend ordered the same.
Our Matcha Lattes came within 10mins and was served warmish hot. Mine was served in a takeaway cup (to maintain the warmth) and my friends was presented in a dine-in glass with a neat latte art on top.
Flavour wise - the tea bitterness was present but was very subtle. I would have preferred the matcha flavour to be stronger. On the other hand, my mate enjoyed the light taste of the matcha latte.
Wouldn't mind dropping by for a Blackstar coffee next time!

I had a Hojicha (roasted green tea) creme brûlée with sesame ice cream. The creme brûlée was particularly good, great incorporation of the hojicha flavour. From a dessert plating up perspective, pairing a soft dessert with another soft dessert (ice cream) is a slight mismatch. The ice cream was average which brings down the creme brûlée which is a shame. It's like a pretty girl who wears too much make up or a guy that is wearing too many loud accessories. Too much! The creme brûlée stands on its own it's THAT good.
My brother had the tiramisu in a jar. He said it was okay but could have used more sponge fingers as it had too much cream in it which I tend to agree with. Otherwise the flavour was good. Tiramisu is a marriage of sponge fingers, mascarpone, coffee, Marsala, coffee. It's close. Frustratingly close. The tia Maria chocolate fudge ice cream was very subtle. I like my flavours stronger but I'll put that down to personal preference.
In my opinion, both desserts were let down by an 'ok' ice cream but at least they are using ice cream that didn't come from supermarket so I'll give them points for trying.
With slight tweaks Sweet Treats could be great, but it's a pretty good Asian dessert cafe. Definitely worth a visit or two. 7/10.
Found our seats in a crowd, and managed to clean up a table by ourselves. I had a royal Thai tea iced latte without adding sugar, and it was made and tasted the way I had expected-yum! All my 3 mates had soy custard adding toppings (Palm seeds, red beans and grass jelly). They liked their custards for the nice texture, not too sweet syrup on the side and generous portion. The 2 staff were working under pressure; focussed and fast.
