Review Mr. Percival’s - Brisbane

Andrew Hennessy
It's hard to think of a better place along the riverside for a relaxed lunch than Mr Percival's. Honestly, the whole Wharves precinct is great but Mr. Percival's offers a little more privacy but still with the great river frontage. The staff were fantastic even with the many difficult demands we had. They were ultra helpful in navigating the different elements of the menu and making special arrangements for dietary requirements. Check out the bar and hit them up for a speciality cocktail. Can't wait to go back.

What a fabulous place for cocktails on a Sunday night. Everyone was extremely welcoming from the staff to the boys in blue( security) We rocked up without a booking on a busy Sunday evening and we were so well looked after. Everyone was helpful and gave us a smile and a chat. My Negroni was excellent and hit the spot. As did the next one. Thank you for making going to Mr Percival’s a celebration. We will be back :)

Great spot on the river edge to enjoy a Sunday afternoon drink with some snacks & take in the City view. Lovely atmosphere & vibe inside but also great to sit outside enjoying winter sunshine. Enjoyed our pizza & cocktails.

Not a bad place but very pretentious. Food nice for a function but unfortunately staff made errors with meals resulting in wastage. Very nice cocktails and choices. Nice location and views. Staff friendly and welcoming. Quite expensive but doesn't surprise me with the location and crowd attracting. Worth a look and try but this time of year extremely busy.

Great food, lovely wine. I enjoyed a prawn cocktail and a rosé for lunch while overlooking the Brisbane River. Pastel vibes!

I had my booking for over two weeks for my birthday, turned up to the booking and they advised me that if you had any tattoos you wouldn’t be able to be seated in the restaurant. This is not on their dress code nor did they advise me this when I made my booking over the phone. Ruined my birthday dinner and drinks, they were unprofessional, disgustingly rude and unapologetic. I would not recommend them based on the repulsive service.

A lot of pretentious people here and we really don't understand why. Cocktails very below the mark - nothing special to make them way more expensive than anywhere else + do not enjoy bits of flowers getting stuck in my mouth. $26 for a very below average pizza - salty and chewy. Staff are non-responsive and unhelpful. The view and everything is great but buy a 6 pack and sit in the park honestly, I dont even know why this place exists.

Lovely location with premier Brisbane river views. This is my new go-to for Brisbane river dining and the Broccoli salad is amazing. My only advice is that they do not have a coffee machine but you can bring in a take-away coffee from next door.

Service is worth the price. We booked a table last night. The contactless payment system took our money but food never came. We had to follow up with a waitress 45 minutes later - why not tell our table to start with? Staff asked us to leave our booked table early. I wouldn’t bother.

A perpestrously overrated eating and drinking experience aimed solely at status-seekers and insta-influencers. There was nothing exciting or of genuine quality on offer or display.

Can categorically say it's the worst bar/hospitality we've been in Brisbane. While waiting at the bar (extended wait again, despite only moderate busy-ness) bar staff served friends twice (note to management, friends were not charged $). One beer and then one order for 6 mixed drinks.<br/>They also do not adhere to RSA standards, the friend was clearly intoxicated, then proceeded to drink 4 drinks in 10 minutes).<br/>Food is terrible (cold pizza)<br/>Security are unfriendly.<br/>I repeat my earlier statement. The place needs to be shut down and/or have its entire staff and management replaced.<br/>Need to be reported for RSA breaches.

Very buzzing and busy atmosphere that looks over the beautiful brisbane river. Although, don’t go on a rainy day as crowd control becomes quite an issue with everyone packing inside a small space for shelter!

Amazing view and location. Great place to go with a group of people and have some drinks. If you go late on a busy night you may find yourself waiting in line outside to get in.<br/><br/>The downside to this venue is the wait time to get a drink. There is no sense of urgency and making sure people can get a drink in a reasonable timeframe.<br/>

My husband and I visited Mr Percival’s on a Sunday, the weekend that it opened. There are two areas on the outside - bar service and table service. We chose table service. After a good 5-10 minutes wait, I gave up and went to the bar to order drinks. We had almost finished our drinks when wait staff finally arrived to the people a couple of seats down. They had arrived before us. The only person to approach us was the bus boy, and he asked if we wanted anything, only because we had empty glasses. We decided against food - not only is it expensive, but we didn’t get a chance because no one was coming near us. Not good for a place that has just opened. It was also very quiet for a new joint in Brisbane. Meanwhile, the brewery was packed. Same views, same beer. Better prices and better service. <br/><br/>Pick up your game, Mr Percival’s.
