Panama Jack's is a great place to get a great feed. The staff are friendly and polite. The restaurant has been refitted and looks great. I was there on Saturday night and the food was very good. I ate a rib-eye medium rare and the steak was perfectly cooked. They also have a dessert bar, they make thick-shakes, among other things. They have a wide range of menu items to choose from. You can sit inside or outside in a covered self contained garden environment. So if your looking for a place to go to dinner put this very high on your list. They also have an adult's bar, and a poker machines in a self-contained area not visible to the restaurant. So I personally recommend Panama Jack's very highly.

I ordered the braised beef cheeks which tasted good and were cooked well. My partner, however, ordered a medium-rare rump steak and the one he received was cooked well done.
The steaks we have ordered in the past were always cooked well, so we are not sure what has changed.

As walk-ins the entire experience was magnificent from the waitress(Shania) finding us a suitable table and some explanation of the menu. Fantastic disposition, friendly and cheery. We only had mains, both meals were good sized and very delicious. I had the Braised Beef Cheeks. Excellent veges were cooked perfectly, hot with a chunch. Meal was hot to the last spoonful. Wait staff member (Shanon) check that our meals were good. I highly recommend Panama Jack's,,, Top Spot for a quality feed. And plenty of parking for a Saturday night. Disability parks could be a little bit wider for larger vehicles.

Chips were dry and rubbery, Burnt as well. Must of had them cooked and waiting for awhile. The small house wine was small. For $7.00. Steak sandwich on sourdough would have been nice but for the toughness and gristle of the steak. Not something I would recommend to anyone who asked.

Great steak, rib meat just fell off the bone as well as the slow cooked beef cheek. Efficient and friendly service too. Nice cosy ambience

The kids chicken tenders meal is fabulous and its nice to see in a kids meal a salad and not your usual chips and burger, nugget and chips combo. I like they have that option. Beautiful food, lovely atmosphere.

New meaning to crunchy salad - dead fly in salad adds to the protein. We were valued customers until today. We had booked for Christmas Eve too, but sadly we will be cancelling. We had always had Christmas Eve there since 2000. Never again! Prefer to find somewhere else where you get a fresh salad without dead critters in the salad. YUK! PS. we told the wait staff but they just took the plate back to the kitchen. We didn't even get the promised offered free Christmas desert after ordering off their Christmas Specials list. Terrible customer service! Yuk! Yuk! and just horrible! I feel sick to my stomach and will not be going back any-time soon!

Food here is very "hit & miss",<br/>Always inconsistent but mostly garbage. <br/>High turnover of chefs and all staff says people don't wanna work there. <br/>Dined here many times & my advice is unless starving give it a miss,<br/>Will more than likely end in disappointment.

Second visit. First time for food. Almost no vegetarian options which is disappointing. That said the delightful lady serving us looked to describe potential options including removing chicken from the risotto, vegetarian pizza and a basic salad. Apparently we can just order vego sides but didn't explore the idea of a side of steamed veggies as a main. Went to the coffee shop who do a nice flat white soy but very limited tea selection (no Chai tea. ...apparently it's not very popular...). We're moving here soon and scoping out the options and the jury is out on this one at the moment. We wanted it to be great as its close by. Time will tell.

Been here 3 times and always had the ribs. Cooked to perfection and deleived with a smile. Will be back to smash another fullrack next time I'm in town.

poor customer service. from the receptionist to the waitresses......sigh.... are they underpaid - that's my concern. they were lacking of patience, kindness and the lot. oh well the food is "average", i wont call it bad. great membership program but still bad food. <br/><br/>Ps portions were big depending on what you got. steak can be overcooked.

The service is so up and down, the food is ok. I have had some really nice meals here, but have had some shockers as well. It's always busy, so recommend making a booking.<br/><br/>

Local Gem. Decent little suburban restaurant. Good for a cheap night out, food is generally tasty with good portion sizes. Cool little cocktail bar next door.

Thursday Steak Night is great value, quality is a bit hit and miss though. Some weeks the sirlion is amazing and you get a generous portion, others it is tiny and really bad.<br/><br/>In general meal prices are quite high considering this is a local pub, we wont go any other night than Thursday because you can get better Ribs and Steaks at either cheaper or the same prices elsewhere.<br/><br/>Overall a good enough pub meal but definate room for improvement.<br/><br/>Service is ok, but staff are unwilling to accommodate small changes, eg. Wanted no chips but asked if i could get extra salad instead = answer no.

I AM SO ANNOYED! I'm a loca.... I AM SO ANNOYED!<br/>I'm a local and have been coming here for years, but over the last year or so panama jacks has gone way downhill. Meal prices have skyrocketed, quality has deminished and I am sick of it. <br/>2weeks ago I got the lamb shanks and they were horrid. Tough, grainy, no flavour and lack of sauce is not how lamb shanks are suppose to be.<br/><br/>Last night I ordered the rump. I was not allowed to even pay extra to get both mash and chips. I got my steak and a small handful of chips for $30.<br/><br/>I won't be going back for dinner again.

Zesty BBQ Ribs. One of the most consistent pubs in the bracken ridge Sandgate, Deagon, brighton region!! When we want a good pub meal and reasonable prices this where we go! And if u want an entre that not a bread try the zesty BBQ ribs! Yumo! The service and staff are great and and if u have any problems they're happy to help and don't make you feel unfortable and get in your face about the whole thing, which I have unfortunately experiences at other pubs!

Alright these are the best ribs in brisbane... baby back ribs with plum sauce. Tender and fall of the bone. Do yourself a favour and get the ribs

Decent but boring. We eat here a lot as it is our local. Pretty standard pub food type menu with standard prices. The meals are usually tasty. Service is ok and what you'd expect from that kind of venue. <br/><br/>HOWEVER, I can't remember the last time the menu changed. I am so bored with the current menu that we've started looking for other places to eat! What happened to chefs changing menus seasonally? You can keep the favorites like ribs and steak but mix it up based on fresh produce for goodness sake.
