Review Fryhard - Brisbane

This place is one of my favorites now. They serve burgers, pizzas and some awesome sides. Not a big franchise but still they are sustaining their business well on the food they offer. Value for money is the apt word for this place. All the items they serve are a burst of flavours in your mouth. Just don't miss out on "Tandoori Delight Burger" with their Mojito/Lemonade ♥️.

I've been back a couple of times since my review below and the service and food were back to their usual very high standard. Excellent fish and chips, ready when I expected them. Well done team. Great Food, slow service. Online order paced at 6:06. Promised at 6:45. Waited another 15 minutes until 7:00. Part of the order sat in the warming box for 20 minutes. Lots of other people waiting too. Never used to be like this.

Might need to have the staffs watches recalibrated, after waiting 20 minutes and then asking staff how much longer we were told almost ready, our wait in total was 45 before food was handed over which felt excessive as the store was not all that busy. Chips were burning hot, nuggets and burgers were room temperature. Not ideal with 2 small hungry kids in tow, had we have known the actual wait time we would have gone elsewhere

Once good, not anymore After 5-6 visits, I’ve given too many second chances. Never again Every time I’ve been told 25min wait, it’s been 1hr. If I’m told 45-50mins, it is 1.5hrs I wait at the shop and watch an abundance of staff standing around, no guidance, no hustle, no organisation. 6 staff will watch one of them slowly rearrange the food in the cabinet. Always hiring junior staff with no ambition, that don’t want to be there, that don’t know what to do to get the job done. My last order was a huge let down as well. Soggy cold chips, stale bun and very little good about it. Don’t be fooled by previous awards they’ve won, this isn’t the same shop. Edit: Thanks for the reply but I am a different person to the one you’re referring to. I did a phone order at 5:48 and picked up 6:45. Regrettably I did not request a refund at the time. Must have been another person in my boat. This isn’t a one off thing, it’s the same every time :(

Elective Surgery Waits Are Shorter!! NOT WORTH THE WAIT, warning do Not go to fryhard! 45-50mins WAIT is standard. The "award winning burger" was 4yrs ago 2017, gee standards plummeted quick! The "Owner" apologises to bad reviews and then publicly shamefully discredits the writer toward the end of each reply, the proof is in their history. With no-right-of-reply other than editing our reviews. I ordered at 6:25pm, Official "Owner's" account admitted in their reply that my order was handed to me on CCTV at 7:05pm and is satisfied with that. The Senior gentleman "Owner" refers to in his reply, is the same one heard quoted to 4-5 people walking in including me: "If you're hungry, DON'T go here, I'm never buying here again". The trash in these photos cost $50 for 55mins wait on a Wednesday night (not Fri or Saturday night, a Wednesday!) "Owner" didn't seem to care about the lack of quality. The way they disgustingly treated the Senior Gentleman in front of me, who had lived in the area for decades, was heartbreaking. He waited 55mins for 1x burger. I type this because I've been stupid enough to return 3 times,but Never again ...I warned everyone when I left tonight, and I'll keep warning people, because every time it's "sorry for the wait" "sorry for the wait" - it's worst when you order in person let alone online. Look how old the chips are! Nobody can admit that they look worth waiting for. Our $50 order with stale bread & miniature fish was missing Tartare sauce and the Gravy, which you both have to pay for. Unclear communication on what part of people's orders are being waited on, ambiguous wait times like "in a sec" "will be a minute". To the "Owner"'s reply, use your CCTV to help your staff...if you see that they're so busy that customers are warning others outside before they walk in...help them, instead of apologising to every second review on here! Old mate apologised because he most likely felt guilty for my outburst, but he was doing the Just thing, like I'm doing: WARNING, STEER CLEAR! SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!! No star.

Finding a takeaway joint that not only does fantastic fish and chips but also incredible burgers is not an easy feat. Thats why I was thrilled to discover my new local fish and chippery had won multiple awards for their burgers via The Courier Mail. With my curiosity peaked I decided to give them a go and I must say I was glad I did, the burgers are not only mouth watering but huge. It was a struggle to finish the burger but I pushed through as it would be a crime not to. The chips were also nice and crispy and appropriately seasoned. My partner had the fishermans basket and raved about it so I will have to give it a try also. I went on a Thursday night and the store looked like it was busy but I only waited around 20 minutes for my order which was reasonable considering the amount of people there at the time. The burger line up is huge so something for everyone and Im looking forward to working my way through the menu.

The tastiest food is usually offered by food trucks and small eateries. Thisfood truck is prettily designed and attracts many eyes. The food served is high on flavor and low on prices. Being one of the best places to satisfy your quick hunger, this food truck is often crowded.

Place where you can eat a taste buds splashing with it's quite unique taste and verities of burgers . If you are taste freak then go try them all. Love eating there burgers when bored with things around me many memories are there with burger truck. Must try them all.

Very happy with food and service - great to have a local fish and burger place, brioche buns for burgers would be a great option

I have been to this takeaway on a number of occasions feel disappointed that the food standard seems to be declining with one very marked exception. The burgers at Fry Hard really are good with fresh salad well-cooked meat or fish. The chips are the most disappointing part of the meal being soft and soggy. The fish is average and at times soggy if battered. These criticisms are most apparent when the demand is high on weekends. I suspect that oil temperature might have something to do with the problems, hence the difference in quality between the fish and chips and burgers.

Chips are nice and crunchy. The seafood is nice but not above average.. just a good decent place for fish and chips! <br/><br/><br/>But I dare say there’s much room for improvement with the new chilli fries with “Texas chainsaw chilli” (which I expect the same chilli to be on the hot dog and in the chilli bowl)<br/>Very tasteless and disappointing, The add is somewhat misleading it’s pictured with leatherface from Texas chainsaw massacre and says “Who will survive and what will be left of them” So I was expecting it to be spicy but it wasn’t even hot it was honestly just bland .. not that it says it’ll be spicy but if that’s not what it meant then what does it mean? And the price is very expensive for the taste unfortunately.<br/>

I am new to the area and after reading all the reviews decided to give Fryhard a try and I am so glad I did.  I had a battered cod combo and it was one of the nicest fish and chips I have had in a long time.  My husband had a Kungfu Chicken burger and he loved every bite.  So glad I stumbled across this place!

Im a lifter. So its not rocket science that as a lifter i want to eat alot of protein. Last night i decided to source my protein from fish. I also had just finished running 24km as a warm up to my heavy bench press session (5 sets of 8 at 185kg) so I decided crumb fish and $5 worth of carb loading chips with chicken salt would be the way to go and i must say this place would have to be the 2nd best fish ive ever tasted (behind any fish i catch bare handed on the Brisbane river). I would highly recommend this place and if i am in the process of lifting heavy again (who am i kidding i always am) I will definitely think to come here again. Great vibe.

Good burgers and food, but terrible time management—I ordered takeaway over the phone tonight and was told 20-25 minutes, it ended up taking over an hour. Looked like UberEats was being prioritised which is very frustrating. Not coming back in a hurry.

Best burgers on the northside by FAR.  Their menu is affordable, the portions are huge and absolutely delicious.  I am so glad Fryhard is my local

I love love love LOVE this player.  I'm addicted to their burgers and the fish and chips are always nice and fresh, never greasy.  Never disappointing here

AMAZING food at such an amazing price. I got a hotdog and chips and gravy. The only thing that needs to be fixed is that the gravy was water. Not thick at all, had to drink it to get any flavour because it was so watery, not even over exaggerating

We asked for extra salt but received no salt, our fish wasn't separated so we weren't to know which fish was what & they gave us brown lemon. Not good enough, won't be returning.

Used be our local and still make my partner drive 45 minutes to get my crumbed cod and chicken garlic balls from here!! Love love LOVE it! The burger names are super clever and the chips with chicken salt are amazing!

Great fish and chips! Small menu but all the right stuff. We ordered snapper, calamari, chips and potato gems. The gems got quite squished in the box on the way home (our fault) and were a tad oily but still good. Seafood looked fresh and hearty.

Wow Fryhard is the best tasting fish and chips and burgers I have EVER had!  The food is freshly cooked while you wait.  Staff are friendly too. I will recommend this takeaway to all my friends. You get real value for money as the burgers are HUGE and the best potato scallops, cooked with a great crispy batter.  I will be back many times to try different menu items. Great job Fryhard, you are excellent!

So... hungry. To be honest I haven't tried the food yet. I've been waiting outside for the last 45 minutes dreaming of what it might taste like. Granted, it's a Saturday night, there's a few people around. But it's a fish and chip shop... Nothing they make should take this long. And if it is going to take a long time, maybe let your customers know. Set their expectations it's not a hard thing to do.... Flash forward. My food finally arrived. It was a "would you like some burger with your mayonnaise" situation. Chips were gross. 0/10 would not eat again.

Usually this place is good. However I ordered 2 cod, 2 potato scallops & chips and was told it would take 15 mins. At 20 mins I saw a pack of fish in the heating bay with my name on it. I asked if my order was ready and the girl said "If it was ready I would have called your name out". I waited a further 10 minutes. The girl then called my name out and handed me the same box I'd been staring at for the past 10 minutes. The food was soggy by that point. I got home and realised the potato scallops I'd paid for weren't even in the box. Thoroughly disappointed with the customer service and attitude of the staff.

Great value and delicious. We went here last night and had the battered perch, chips and got a steak burger, grilled chicken burger and some nuggets for the kids. The fish was cooked perfectly with such a nice light and crispy batter. Steak burger was so tender and very filling, we struggled getting through it all. Can't wait to try all the other burgers on the menu, definitely a new favourite. Staff very friendly as well.

Steak burger disappintment. Ordered three steak burgers last night with the lot. My husbands steak was half gristle mine was tiny only about a third the size of the bun, and the other hot items were tiny enough to stack on top. My burger also had a LOT of bbq sauce. It was like the Cook got to the end and realised it was tiny and tried to hide the with sauce. Big disappintment

Best burger ever. Just recently moved to the area and have come across this gem. The Great Barrier Beef burger would have to be one of the best burgers I've ever eaten. The chips are great and the fish is tasty without being oily. Has definately become a favourite weekend eatery.

The best Burgers and Fish and Chips on the North side. This little place is tucked away at the shops at Carseldine where woolies is... My husband and I ate there today and we would honestly have to say it was the best fish and chips (I had the barramundi) I've had in years. My husband had a steak burger with the works.., it was amazing... Rib fillet and such good value. The chips.... Omg the chips.. I couldn't stop! <br/>This is now our Friday night take out place.. It's seriously yum!

My new fav. Awesome fish and chips, so fresh and tasty and the chips were great with generous servings and nice chicken salt.<br/>My girlfriend had a fryhard burger and she said it was delicious. Going to try it myself next time.

Ordered fish and chips. Disappointing portion size of fish given price. Both the battered and crumbed versions lacked any taste. Chips were also undercooked.

Discovered this place last year and instantly fell in love with their delicious and nicely priced burgers. Have been coming here atleast once a week for the past 8 months. If you want tasty fresh food, highly recommend!!

Always hits the spot. Fish and chips always excellently cooked - fish never soggy, chips always crispy, and the chicken salt always great. <br/>Burgers are fantastically good. Always feel freshly made, and taste great. <br/>On busy nights, they start running out of food - perhaps a testament to their popularity - so get in early. <br/>They've also recently started stocking homemade fudge, which is quite good. <br/>Staff always pleasant and friendly, and no one ever gets our orders wrong :)<br/>Thank goodness they're the closest takeaway joint to our place!

Good fish and chips. Ordered fish and chips for 6 people on State of Origin night. For a traditionally busy takeaway night, service was fast and the food was good. We were given two pieces of fish per person (we all had snapper). The fish was nice and the batter/crumb was tasty. Would recommend to anyone on the northside.

Lamb burger was really tasty. Chips with chicken salt cooked well in obviously clean oil. They were super busy so was about 20 mins wait but no problem with that. They actually had to close early cause they were running out of food. That's a great endorsement for them. Will definitely go back again.

Fry hard takeaway is my new favourite place to eat. Its always fresh, tasty and excellent value for money. I've tried a couple of thing off the menu all are full of flavour, fish perfectly cooked. Chips are great even better with their gravey :P burgers, very filling and scrumptious. Can't recommend it enough!!!!!!

Best Burger ever.... I tried Fryhard for the first time last night and can't fault it. Great burger, fresh, perfectly toasted and melted in my mouth. The chips where to die for and the staff very friendly. Best value for money in the complex.<br/>I will keep supporting this family run business and not be giving my money to the chain takeaways......<br/>P.S have the hawaiian chicken burger..yum

Fry Hard Takeaway @ Carseldine. The best take away shop I have ever eaten at. My husband and I have ordered many different things on the menu and have no complaints. All the food is very fresh and cooked to perfection. All the staff are extremely friendly. I recommend the sweet potato scallops and the Armageddin meat burger : - )

First visit to Fryard Carseldine about a week ago. Crumbed cod was excellent as were the chips. Probably amongst the best few takeaway fish meals that I can remember!
