Review Queensland Cruising Yacht Club - Brisbane

First time my husband and I had been to this venue. We were greeted by a lovely and friendly waitress, who showed us to our table. The views were amazing, as was our breakfast and coffee that came with very little waiting time. Would highly recommend this restaurant, will definitely return again. 5 star's

The food was fantastic. All homemade and delicious. Unfortunately i got my entree, then my main, then my partner got his entree and main at the same time. The drink prices have also gone up significantly. Hopefully just teething issues as the food is definitely worth the visit.

Had a lovely meal here. Food was delicious and fresh. Service was great even though there weren't many staff. Seating is outside with a lovely view of the yachts on the water. Nothing not to like really but they do close early

Their vegan burger is delicious! You don't need to be a member. Great vegetarian options too. Beautiful spot overlooking the water. Easy parking. Lovely staff.

Let’s get one thing straight before we start, the extra star is for the view …. After much deliberation our table decided on their chosen meals. One antipasto plate, a couple of crab tacos and meatballs. Ok it was a windy day, but by the time the meals came to the table, the salad was in a neighbouring suburb. Firstly the crab tacos arrived ‘sorry we ran out of crab tacos yesterday so we have replaced them with fish tacos’ hmm ok would have been nice to have been given the option …. Then the meatballs arrived ‘sorry we ran out of meatballs yesterday so we replaced it with … you guessed it - fish tacos!! .. imagine our relief when the antipasto arrived and it wasn’t fish tacos. It was: 2x breadsticks 2x (slices) primo champagne ham 5x cherry tomatoes and an unidentifiable pickle. When quizzed on the ingredients the manager’s spokesperson simply said that ‘everyone has their own take on antipasto’ (for their benefit I have included a photo of what google believes antipasto should look like.) The waitress opened the till and handed me $15 as I don’t like seafood, and wasn’t prepared to eat the alternative chosen for me (fish tacos) no apology. So that was it - after a brief conversation with the manager’s spokesperson, who basically said we were lucky to get anything as we hadn’t booked … we left. Oh how we laughed as we headed elsewhere for … well … anything other than fish tacos!

We had "Garlic prawns with steam rice" and "seefood basket with salad and chips". The prawns are nice but the rice was very disappointed. The rice testing like supermarket packaging, Not fresh cook. The seafood basket are terrible. Salad and chips tooks 3/4 of the plate. The seafoods are deep fried batter seafood. Not fresh seafood. Overall the meals are over pricing compare with The surf club at Bribe Island. I will never go there again.

Enjoyed an afternoon here to celebrate a friend's 70th. Beautiful setting under the marquee. The hot platters kept coming, and a good variety. James Squires Ginger Beer on tap. Friendly staff. Clean bathrooms. Unless you are a member, you have to park outside the club itself.

The head chef, who I believe is reasonably new, is absolutely brilliant. My fiancé and I have breakfast here as often as we can now due to the quality of the food. Tonight, we made a late decision to head down for dinner - our first experience and we were not disappointed. My partner, a self-confessed prawn linguine addict, opted for the QCYC version. It was a 10/10. I had the market fish with steamed veggies which was equally as good. The chef and the new waitress took great care of us throughout the evening. Absolute class. Also, the best venue on the Bayside by way of location/scenery in my opinion.

A great afternoon spent at this quiet hidden secret. Atmosphere was light and airy. Staff friendly and the view a nice change from the regular bustle of the Northside. Tapas were great and Parmi was ok.

Absolutely amazingly awesome.. I had heard about this little gem for a while, Breakfast in particular......On Mothers' day I went along with a friend for breakfast. We didn't have a booking, but to our fortune we were able to secure a table. Breakfast was Eggs bene with salmon, devine, along with coffee. At 10 am when the bar opened, my friend and I celebrated Mothers' Day with a lovely sparkling chardonnay (Angove), very nice. The day quickly progressed and in no time it was lunch time, a few more sparkling wines and it was time for tapas.......The calamari was like eating butter, absolutely melted in the mouth, the trio of dips, and the prawns were equally amazing. More sparkling and beautiful surroundings on the water, a crispness in the air, and it was late afternoon. This was my Mothers' Day celebration, one of the best days I have spent in a long time. The staff are wonderful, Sylvia is very professional and personable. I took the opportunity to join the club and now proudly say I am a member of the QCYC. This is now my new little haunt for brekkie, lunch and dinner. Very very happy mumma.

Really good atmosphere. Location is a plus, and the food compliments the view. Staff are very friendly, and the club supports local micro breweries. Well worth a visit.

Great Atmosphere, friendly service and wonderful food.. This has always been a lovely place to sit and enjoy the view and now thanks to the new couple running the kitchen the food is fantastic. We have so far been a few times for breakfast which was the best Eggs Benedict I have had in Brisbane and twice for dinner. We enjoyed a Steak Sandwich and Chicken Burgers the first time and the second time I was extremely pleased to enjoy an absolutely delicious and generous selection of Tapas. They are growing in popularity but have to endure quiet a small kitchen so please be patient if the meals sometimes come out a bit slow, it's worth the wait.

My only suggestions are for the Yacht Club themselves. It would be wonderful if you could do something to tidy up the outside. There are shade sails which are great but it has now killed all the grass leaving bare dirt. Some click decking or simply laying down synthetic turf would make such a huge difference. With the Seaview now closed there is an opportunity there Yacht Club to support this young couple and take the whole premises, including their too small kitchen to the next level.

We will be back. :))

Best chowder. I have tasted chowder in many restaurants all over the world but this is by far the best that I have ever had. I take all my friends to the yacht club to try it, unanimous decision from all " brilliant", " scrumptious" etc.

Nothing to fault.... Brilliant service, awesome food, great prices and range. Nothing could be faulted and is especially gorgeous because of it's surroundings.. Sunday lunch, (mmmm Tapas), good wine and a perfect view to boot. We have been several times now and have taken more friends and family each time.. We are so happy we found this gem in Shorncliffe and will return over and over again. Well done to the team - you should be proud of everything you present there!

Wow Factor. How nice it was on Sunday lunch to discover this little gem. Great atmosphere sitting outside overlooking all the boats at the marina. Wow factor was the food.... THE best Tapas I have ever had ! We tried a bit of everything and were not disappointed. Congratulations on your renovations and especially to your new Chefs ! We will be back.
